a few years back I started reading James Patterson's MAXIMUM RIDE series and was embarrassed to go down the young adult aisle. :blush

Its so stupid. Im scared to go down the gay book aisles too. God Im an asshole.

Oh I barely went into my room a bit ago and the bed was made! My guy must have made it. :cheer
I left the house before him so he was probably bored without me :toot

well my New Mexican friend mentioned that series to me a while back.
She also mentioned the book YOUTH IN REVOLT which she sent to me and they are making that into a movie too.

we usually have the same taste in books.

Shes the one who got me to read LOVELY BONES. I trust her judgement :rocks

How about trying things out by yourself!

I r4esisted the Harry Potter Books. Hated the hype! I read one. Thought it was cute. read another one....decided it was not my cup of tea after all. I can see why people are into it. But, at least I can say: "Harry Potter stinks" :;

Dan is going to love this!

The High Heel Race held every year in October in DC! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yFBXfI7Ct0w

Each year on the Tuesday before Halloween, spectators by the thousands head for 17th Street, between P and S Streets NW near Dupont Circle to enjoy Washington's unofficial, but fabulously raucous High Heel Drag Race. Usually between about 7 and 9 p.m., more than 100 drag queens, dressed in outrageous splendor, parade up and down 17th Street NW. At 9 p.m., the High Heel Race to the finish begins and lasts about 15 minutes.

This unique race is great fun and attracts a diverse crowd from both gay and straight communities. After the race, many of the spectators stay around Dupont Circle to spend the rest of the evening enjoying the vibrant restaurants and nightlife.

I have, in fact the bureau that I have is from there, though it is totally broken now, 2 of the drawers are totally busted

when I was 18 I finally got my own room but my mom wouldnt buy me new furniture, so I saved up for 6 months then went to Ikea and furnished my entire room. I bought a new bed, a desk, and this huge wardrobe because my bedroom didnt have a closet in it
