Just the boy! :ha

So it will be Miguel and I and the boy, who will required to pay rent on a monthly basis this time, taking over Miguel's sister's apartment. Miguel's sister and her two daughters will move upstairs with the parents and when her husband is given permission to return to the States in a year he will stay there too, and in a year or two if all goes well I will buy their half of the house and the building will belong to Miguel and me....its like marriage!

:faint :faint :faint :faint :faint

thats pretty sweet!
so.........is it a house and you guys call the upstairs an 'apartment'? or in Chicago you can own an upstairs and downstairs part of an apartment building?

what you are describing sounds more like what a condo here in AZ sounds like.

Except its all adjoined and if you have folks living in the upstairs room/room, you have to share like the kitchen and laundry rooms so its not really privacy ready.

I prefer BETCH or BISH! Im kinda over Beyotch

sounds more like what we call a Duplex building here, which is what I am hoping I can buy next year

I can't imagine a house without a basement!

Each floor has its own kitchen yes, but not necessary laundry, that's in the basement usually.

Miguel's basement has like three little rooms with doors, big enough to have beds in actually, they are scary! I went into one, I don't know why a bed was in there, but the whole thing had a rape and snuff film atmosphere to me! It freaked me out!

a duplex is a building that is really like a house, either split into two units, or 3 or 4 units. Most of the time it is two units though, usually 2 bedrooms in each one, but sometimes can be 3 bedrooms. And yeah, it is like an apartment but bigger. And sometimes they are all one floor, one unit all on the first floor and the other all on the second floor and other times both units have 2 floors, like a house split in half.

that makes me think of that movie Gothica, have you guys seen it? Halley Barry's husband kid naps adolescent girls and him and his killer friend keep them in a basement of this house for days and continuously rape and beat them, then eventually kill them. That was fucking sick, have you guys seen that movie?

What we do in our apartment stays in our apartment!

Basically its like this Jules, walk up the stairs to the door, open the door and there is a foyer of sorts, with some stairs leading up to another door, which leads to my future apartment, kitchen, living room, dining room, three bedrooms, and a small enclosed porch. There are also more stairs in the foyer leading up to the other apartment, same layout. And there are enclosed stairs in the back, leading to outside and down to the basement.

So you cant just randomly walk into each seperate part of the house, right?
You have to have a key for each level?

Well Miguel's mom's is usually open all the time because of the kids coming up and down from his sisters place, but I'll be having mine locked of course.

I hated when she lived in the condos adjacent to our old apartment!

Thank god she lives across town.

My sister is 8-9 houses down and his sister is like 4-5 blocks away.

Whats up with Mexicans living in close proximity? :ha

I think I'll adjust. His family likes and respects me. And Miguel and I will be able to keep up the house better with us living there.
