Pinned or not pinned,

Michele came up with the idea of team events. It would be cool but, we don't have enough different nationalities on the forum to create at least four teams. If we would decide to have multinational teams than who would be in what team and how can it be determined? GHow many people are going to take part?

I think the easiest way is to have individual results.

We could have an all-around result where the person with the highest post count at the final day of the Olympics get's the all around gold medal. This can easily be done by keeping to the top 10 weekly post format. You just total the score of each person who is willing to compete over the three weeks the Olympics are on.

We could also add event finals. Where we award the the highest postcounts on the most popular threads. You could then have a spamming, champion, a juice-champion. etc. That way participants could walk away with more than one medal. For instance, if Julesy gets the all around title and Michele the silver medal, Michele could still get a gold medal in for instance, the Spam thread

Not scrapped. I had my doubts beacuse we could do the same thing in the top 10 post thread. It doesn't have to be pinned. And Jesse did not like the idea. Doesn't mean the whole thing was scrapped.

And it's not complicated Jesse!

All around winner: Person wuth the highest post count over the Olympic weeks

Event winner: Highest poster on an indiviual thread over the the Olympic weeks.

Lol I would tip Julesy as Olympic champion on the all around. Olympic champion on the Juice threads and a silver on the Spam-event. Dan would win that, totally . LOL

We should just wait and see how many people would like to take part. if there isn't enough interest, we can scrap the idea.

I'm beginning to understand it better now.

And who would be doing all that tallying?

Numbers hurt my head :sos

well, the post-total of everybody is done by Jane every week. if I would add up the weekly post counts by the end of the three week period, you would know your medalists.

But individual thread postcounts would be more difficult.

Maybe it is better to just leave it as it is. Like I said, we post regardless. And I would still write my comments regardless. If we pin it, I'm afraid we would get too many people taking postcounts too seriously, based on the reactions on the idea in the first place. besides. Other than Jules, Michrele and Me. There aren't enough willing participants to really make it work.

I changed my mind yet again. but this time i mean it. :ha

I bet it would go further as well...But all ladies should have the same bag ofcourse. You can't have someone entering the Games using a Chanel-tote and another a Mulberry!

Maybe the Chanel-ones can weigh it down with a box of Tampons

It's not a bad idea!!!!

It's just the details were/are a bit sketchy so it's hard to comment either way, I don't think it should just be dismissed out of hand. It would need to be something different to the Carlotta's though, not just giving awards for certain traits/abilities.

I'll think on it more, if anyone has any suggestions still post them.

I was thinking more of a posting competition. Like medals for the highest poster during the two weeks would be one, medals for say whomever posted most in Juliens juice or things like that. Medals for who started the most threads during the two weeks, etc.

But then someone would have to do all the tracking and counting of the posts and shit, that may be too much.

exactly, see that is more along the lines of what I was thinking

But not enough enthusiasts. Better and easy to stick to the original weekly post thread?

well lets not totally scrap the idea yet. Lets wait and see if others want to. Like I can see Darrelle wanting to do it, maybe Joel would, Dan possibly. Maybe alondria and Jane. Sheila might want to.

and if we did say like 4 teams (or countries) like you said Rodney, we dont necessarily have to be on the team of the country we are actually from. Like you are the only person from The Netherlands but I can be on the Netherlands team or something.
