Yeah well if McCain gets in you can forget about that! Obama may say he believes marriage is for men and women, but he won't stop states from allowing marriage between gays, McCain would make it law for every state to ban same sex marriage! |

My point is that it was all that long ago in history that he and his wife didn't have the right to marry. |

Which is why he won't deny it. But the fact remains the rash of gay marriages during the last election helped Bush to steal the election. |

That was Flordia, when he ran against Al Gore. I am referring to when he ran the second time against Kerry. The Republicans masterfully manipulated the religious ignorant of this country and rallied them to narrow the election to be stolen in Ohio. |

yea they did cause Obama is considered black, not white. He is part white but that does not matter. Even if he only had 1/20 of a drop of black in his family tree, he would still be considered black, not white. So Obama would have been allowed to marry his black wife 40 some years ago |

its not it is about civil rights. The point being that 50 years ago interracial couples were not legally allowed to marry btw just checked out Bob Barr. He has the same views as Ron Paul, stands for all the same things. I am casting my vote for him. here is his website: http://www.bobbarr2008.com/media-center/play/93/ |

I know it was the point that Dan was making, why Obama should be supporting legalizing gay marriage when his parents were an interracial couple |

well if everyone looks into Bob Barr and votes for what this country really needs instead of throwing away their votes on the status quo candidates (McCain and Obama) then McCain wont win PA! |

no you are the one who is dense and voting for business as usual in washington. A vote for McCain or Obama is not a vote for the real change this country needs, it is a vote to continue with the shit we already have in place. Dont let them convince you to be a sheep Jesse. bahhh, bahhhh, bahhhh |

How is Obama the status quo when he fought and won against the real status quo which was Clinton! He is a first term senator, half black, and has a back ground and roots that NONE of the past presidents going all the way back to the very first one, Washington, has! Don't only vote for change, vote for history! Vote Obama!
