Film adaptation
IGN Movies has reported that a film adaptation is in the works; whether it is for a movie or a television series is unknown. J. J. Abrams, who has been behind shows such as Lost and Alias, is supposedly attached to produce and direct.[5] Carlton Cuse and Damon Lindelof, also affiliated with Lost and J. J. Abrams, have optioned the Dark Tower series from King for a reported nineteen dollars, which of course, is the infamous number from the Dark Tower series of novels.[6] According to issue #923 of Entertainment Weekly, King "is an ardent supporter of the desert-island show and trusts Abrams to translate his vision" into a film franchise with Lindelof being "the leading candidate to write the screenplay for the first installment."[7]

Roland as depicted in the opening credits of another Stephen King movie The Mist.Multiple mock trailers have popped up on Youtube. Also, the official Grand Prize winner of Simon & Schuster's (King's Publisher) American Gunslinger contest [1], "Roland Meets Brown" [2], by Robert David Cochrane[3], can be found there.

In King's 2007 film The Mist, the main character David Drayton can be seen painting a movie poster with Roland in the center, standing in front of a trans-dimensional Ironwood door, with a rose and the dark tower to each side.

In February 2008, Abrams announced that he and Lindelof had begun work on an early draft for the adaptation. [8]

you too!

make that money! :rocks

I did make good money today at the spa! In total about $100 which is really good considering I was only there for 6 hours! I had an eyebrow wax, a glycolic facial (which is one of our most expensive facials) and then 4 hours of office work, which I am now getting paid more for. :cheer

and one of my coworkers at Chilis texted me today and asked me to work for him sat night, I said GIVE ME YOUR SHIFT! Since I was only scheduled for two shifts this week, I was really hoping someone would give me one of theirs. :cheer

I thought every male was made to sign up for the army when they were 18. So, the army would have your information if they did the draft?

nope that is definately something new Darrelle. Probably because of the Iraq war, which the neocons NEVER want to end, if they get their way it never will

New episode of fear itself tonight!!

So my friend is taking this college course about film and one of the things he has to do is watch certain movies and then go online and write about them and answer questions. Last week he had to watch pleasantville which is actually a pretty damn good movie! He came over and we watched it together.

The other night he had to watch a river runs through it. I am sorry but Brad Pitt couldn't save that movie! It was the most boring 2 hours of my life!!! It didn't seem to have any real point to it and then it finally went off.

He said the movie he has to watch next week is american beauty which i've not seen yet but hear is very good.

omg I LOVE American Beauty, one of my all time faves!!! Kevin Spacey is the shit in that movie! I want to fuck him so bad in that movie! Think I am crazy? I guarantee you will think the same thing when you see it!

I read the first two books, I meant to read the rest but never did. There are 19 books? Damn! I totally did not realize King did that many! :faint
