It's smarter than renting. At least your money goes into something that becomes yours! And a good investment! If the Finnish market is soliidly rising, you might decide to sell if you don't like it and get some profit out of it!!!!

Okaaaay, with US current housing market exploding(You can thank mr. Bush for that) it's a bit of a risk.
But since Finland doesn't have any major ties with the US, I think Anne is safe to buy.

Thing is; a mortgage is a lot better than renting for decades and getting nothing in return.
With a mortgage, you pay monthly and in name and deed; the house is YOUR's! So if you decide to move out from the house say, after a year. You just find a buyer and move on! It is more than likely that, the house has risen in value so, you walk away with a nice load of cash in hand!

I'm so buying here in Holland. House prices are low(especially compared to the UK) and the market is stable.
