Jumper sounds like a movie about suicide, which is probably what people will do after seeing it :alien

it's bloody good, so good Stevie took me to see it again yesterday; typical Burton gothic - i think there is one minute of daylight in the whole film, but the songs are stupendous!

Perhaps I would enjoy it if I were smoking weed, but as I'm on a drug hiatus right now who knows. Maybe I would enjoy it, I like the Rick Moranis and Steve Martin Little Shop of Horrors.

Michele, because business is slow and Miguel's hours got cut he's applied at a new Chili's opening up in our area and he got called in immediately for an interview. Too bad he'll be doing lunch hours or I'd be up in there making him serve me like I do on sunday's at the bar of the restaurant he works in now! Sometimes I'll just slap my hand on the bar and shout out "Mas!" Meaning pour me another drink biatch! :ha

lol! That will probably be a big change for him, I imagine working at Chili's is much different from working a fine dining establishment. The training is hell there, you have to memorize EVERYTHING. I still dont have it all down, if they ever give me a surprise test on it I am screwed!

I dont know about out there but the lunch where I work often sucks, sometimes I make good money for lunch but most of the time I only go home with about $30. Then again, I only do weds lunch and other lunch shifts may be busier. Maybe it is just wednesdays that suck there.

This is brand new, there isn't a Chili's in the area for miles and miles around, I think it will do great business there. But you are right, it will be a big change from fine dining and I don't think he'll like it. If he takes up a position I give him a month! That's going to be the hangout spot for my straight friend and I!

it was a big change for me too, even though Catherine's wasnt a fine dining restaurant, it was still a big difference because there were no micros, I didnt need to have shit memorized, only one window that food came out of, smaller stations, we had bus kids that did more for us than bus tables and we didnt have to empty dish from the dishroom. At chili's you have to do all of these things, but I got used to it.

Maybe Miguel will make really good money there because he will be a better waiter than everyone else, be more personable and accomodating because that is how he is used to waiting

yeah he's an annoyingly people person type, and i;m the opposite! I'm aloof and brooding, until I get a few good cocktails in me, but he was a bus boy and bar back before being a waiter and bartender so he can do all those things really

oh and during lunch there are no busboys, you have to bus your own tables,at least at my Chili's anyway :jesse

basically at my chilis' the servers do EVERYTHING except cook the damn food. And we get paid shit for it. It really pisses me off sometimes.

Jesse you are like me! I am the same way, I am probably not personable enough to wait tables really, but I do it anyway.
