Forgot to mention this but my Ripper tour guide was also a Beef Eater at the Tower of London, which we had just come from visiting before the tour and he just got off duty. A pleasant elder English gentleman.

Where are you in it Nicky?

We watched From Hell last night.I had not seen it since it was first released and thought I didn't care for it,but after watching last night I did like it.Found it interesting that the queen then was rumored about a cover up in the murders and that the present quuen has the same type of rumors.Cover up /murder I mean.

Dan, we haven't been on the tour yet, 'coz the guy who wrote the book - Donald Rumbleow, is ill, so we're waiting for him to do it, as he's the authority; as for the book I've just finished the Miller's Court chapter, concerning the Mary Kelly murder!

I watched a one hour special on Jack the Ripper this weekend and it wasn't all that good in as far as good theories were concerned, but the artist guy who went to New York sounded pretty plausible.

Michele is the book you have Patricia Cornwell's 'Portrait of a killer', about Walter Sickert?

yeah that is the book that I have, though I noticed a few weeks ago when I reorganized my book shelf that it is not here in my apartment. A few other books of mine are missing, I must still have another box of books that I accidentially left at my parents house.

If you have any other good JTR books you would like to recommend, I would love to read them.

I'd recommend Donald Rumblelow's 'The complete Jack the Ripper' which I'm reading now, he's the former poiceman who was curator of the Black Museum and does the walks. I saw Patricia Cornwell's book in a secondhand bookshop in London the other day and I'm gonna pick it up in the week - how good is it?

she's a crime writer right, fiction? I wonder what made her suddenly want to write a factual book on JTR
