Benazir Bhutto has been assassinated! :shock I just know Pervez Musharraf is behind it! Nuclear Pakistan is in chaos again!

I know! Isnt that horrible? Although I admit I never knew who she was until today when I read that she was assasinated. She was so pretty too!

I don't want my precious used!

This is the description of the book I'm getting:

Less than fifty thousand years ago mankind had no art, no religion, no sophisticated symbolism, no innovative thinking. Then, in a dramatic and electrifying change, described by scientists as "the greatest riddle in human history," all the skills and qualities that we value most highly in ourselves appeared already fully formed, as though bestowed on us by hidden powers. In Supernatural Graham Hancock sets out to investigate this mysterious "before-and-after moment" and to discover the truth about the influences that gave birth to the modern human mind.

His quest takes him on a detective journey from the stunningly beautiful painted caves of prehistoric France, Spain, and Italy to rock shelters in the mountains of South Africa, where he finds extraordinary Stone Age art. He uncovers clues that lead him to the depths of the Amazon rainforest to drink the powerful hallucinogen Ayahuasca with shamans, whose paintings contain images of "supernatural beings" identical to the animal-human hybrids depicted in prehistoric caves. Hallucinogens such as mescaline also produce visionary encounters with exactly the same beings. Scientists at the cutting edge of consciousness research have begun to consider the possibility that such hallucinations may be real perceptions of other "dimensions." Could the "supernaturals" first depicted in the painted caves be the ancient teachers of mankind? Could it be that human evolution is not just the "meaningless" process that Darwin identified, but something more purposive and intelligent that we have barely begun to understand?

I think people just got bored doing nothing but hunting and fucking, I think that is what brought about actual culture and belief systems such as religion

:ha Oh Michele, any animal...and humans are essentially animals at their core, can eat and fuck. No, it took some outside influence to steer the then uncivilized humans into the civilized sort, who organized and created for more than hunting and fucking.

The basis of the primitive belief systems were born out of fear of the elements, what humans could not control. The storms essentially, the darkness of night, the turning seasons, these are the things which they could not control and which they noticed influenced the environment....the plants which they ate, the migration of the animals they hunted, the only way they could think of having any sense of control was to appeal and worship and sacrifice to thise elements they could not control.

The brain cells were there I reckon, and the rudimentary forms of civilazation was rooted, but when you study the patterns and the history you find that there was a huge leap in progress which just didn't make sense other than outside influence. And all those ancient cultures always credited "the gods" for their knowledge and achievements.

I contend, as do many others, that those "gods" were in essence "aliens", posing as "gods". And if you are dealing with a primitive race who marvel and tremble at the technology in your possession, why not pass yourself off as gods and have them worship you? The power is in your hands after all.

But enough of that, I will not play devil's advocate to those alien devil's.

Night Garden.

You don't have like a Sears outlet store? Its a store where returned products are resold, and usually the returned products are due to nothing more than a scratch or a dent. You could get good discounted items like that.

Or since you are contemplating a credit card purchase, apply for a store credit card, be it Best Buy or Sears, and you will most likely get a discount on your first purchase.

A real life Marguerite Mayfair

shes dead but lived in New Orleans in the 1800s

Delphine Lalaurie
This high-society psycho is one of the most sadistic figures in New Orleans history. When a fire broke out in the kitchen of her mansion, authorites discovered six chained slave3s whom had been subjected to hideous medical experiments. Most where dead. When the mansion was later renovated, 60 bodies were found. They had been buried ALIVE.

im gonna have to wiki this bitch

read this Jesse

However, the biggest surprise was to be found in the attic, where the fire brigade was directed by the other slaves. The door was bolted, and the fire brigade had to use a battering ram to open the door. What they found would make their stomachs wrench; inside the crawlspace attic was the stench of death. According to contemporary accounts, over a dozen disfigured and maimed slaves were manacled to the walls or floor. Several had been the subject of gruesome medical experiments.

The exact details are unclear; owing to the horrific nature of the crime, many details were either swept under the rug or embellished. One man looked as though he had been victim of some bizarre makeshift sex change. Another was trapped inside a small cage, where her arms and legs had been badly broken and then reset at odd angles, making her appear as some sort of "human crab." Another woman had her arms and legs removed and patches of her flesh had been sliced off in a circular motion to make her appear as a giant caterpillar. Some had their mouths sewn shut and had then starved to death. Others had their hands sewn to different parts of their bodies. One woman had her entrails pulled out of her stomach and was secured to the floor by her own intestines. A small boy of about twelve had the flesh on half of his face peeled back, revealing muscle, veins, and so forth. The wound had since been infested with disease and insects. Most of the victims were found dead. Those who were still alive, begged to be put out of their misery and died shortly after.

I wonder if Rice used her as an example
