Ron Paul accepts White Supremacist Donation

Republican presidential hopeful Ron Paul has received a $500 campaign donation from a white supremacist, and the Texas congressman doesn't plan to return it, an aide said Wednesday.

Don Black, of West Palm Beach, recently made the donation, according to campaign filings. He runs a Web site called Stormfront with the motto, "White Pride World Wide." The site welcomes postings to the "Stormfront White Nationalist Community."

"Dr. Paul stands for freedom, peace, prosperity and inalienable rights. If someone with small ideologies happens to contribute money to Ron, thinking he can influence Ron in any way, he's wasted his money," Paul spokesman Jesse Benton said. "Ron is going to take the money and try to spread the message of freedom."

"And that's $500 less that this guy has to do whatever it is that he does," Benton added.

Black said he supports Paul's stance on ending the war in Iraq, securing U.S. borders and his opposition to amnesty for illegal immigrants.

"We know that he's not a white nationalist. He says he isn't and we believe him, but on the issues, there's only one choice," Black said Wednesday.

"We like his stand on tight borders and opposition to a police state," Black told The Palm Beach Post earlier.

On his Web site, Black says he has been involved in "the White patriot movement for 30 years."

:shrug Don't know how I feel about that. I think Paul should give the money back. This is why I am torn about him, what does he plan, a mass deporation of illegal aliens? Will he then allow those vile and disgusting hateful Minuteman group to spearhead the operation?

Obama is getting my vote still! :rocks

I havent read much on him as Im not going to vote but someone posted this about him

He claims to be a libertarian yet opposes the freedom to burn US flags.

He's introduced bills to repeal the Occupational Safety and Health Act.

He's introduced bills to repeal the National Voter Registration Act.

He introduced a bill to make all Iranian students in the US ineligible for ANY form of federal aid.

He's introduced bills to try and repeal such legislation as the Clean Air Act, the Soil and Water Conservation act, and the use of devices that protect the "bycatch" of sea life.

He has introduced bills to prohibit the dismantling of ICBM silos in the US.

He opposes minimum wage, FEMA and student loans.

He promotes coal-mining on federal land and has a history of blocking conservation measures.

Well those are some most interesting things which paint a negative picture to me, he is not the perfect candidate but I do like his anti-NWO stance, but would he realistically be able to stand up to them? I think not.

Message of freedom, peace and prosperity rallies record support

ARLINGTON, VIRGINIA –Texas Congressman Ron Paul’s presidential campaign had a record fundraising quarter, exceeding its original goal of $12 million by over 50 percent when it raised nearly $20 million during the months of October, November and December.

“Only Dr. Paul has the ability to inspire Americans to contribute and take action that is necessary if Republicans want to defeat the Democrats in November,” said campaign chairman Kent Snyder.

In two 24-hour periods on November 5 and December 16, the campaign raised over $10 million dollars. The total of over $19.5 million represents an increase of nearly 300 percent from its third quarter total of $5.28 million.

For the quarter, the campaign had over 130,000 donors, including over 107,000 new donors. The total was reached with an average donation size that was just under $90.

Of the other Republican candidates, only Mike Huckabee – who reported $5.04 million this quarter – discloses his fundraising total online. However, Dr. Paul’s total is over $9 million more than any Republican candidate raised in the third quarter.
