but if they are so sensitve about something trivial as myspace then maybe they cant function in the real world and eventually something esle just as trivial would have led to her killing herself |

yes. and they shouldnt go unpunished but everyone on planet earth has been made a fool of at some time or another. you just have to learn to deal with it. Im sick of all these people now a days hurting/killing themselves for no valid reason. people need to toughen up. other people have it just as hard, if not harder. pre teen, teen, young adult, adults..you have to not let it get to you. boo hooo. ya know? believe me, Ive had my share of depression. |

I wonder if she had had a real life boyfriend, and he dumped her, would she have still killed herself? |

I just backread the story, she never knew it was a hoax, as far as she knew she killed herself over a boy she'd never met. What were her parent's doing allowing a 13 year old to get so involved with a stranger online? He could have been an old paedophile with sinister intentions. She should have been warned and protected |

She was just a kid, Jules. Weak, strong :michelle. You know how impulsive and emotionally vulnerable teenagers are. Not to mention I suspect Jesse might be right about the meds doing more harm good. |

There are too many people in the world as it is. As sad as the story is, if the weak ones want to weed themselves out then so be it. Survival of the fittest. |

This story is propably as real as myspace altogether. Shit happens. She could have commited suicide after a pigeon had pooped on her thinking animals were against her too.

Rule of thumb-- you can't believe everything you read. Is the story even real? And if it is... maybe little girl's parents shoulda had a bit more to do with her life and seen what she was doing on the internet and told her such rule of thumb. And a few others... life ain't fair, people suck, get over it. |

That is true, Gypsy! Parents need to be more involved in their kids lives. My mom never talked to us about sex and looked what happened to me. I became one big slut. I don't know if her talking to me would have helped, but it couldn't hurt. |

I remember my parents didnt talk to me about it till I was 17! They talked to me and my sister Karen at the same time, she was 13. By that point, even though I was still a virgin I already knew everything there was to know about sex and having safe sex. I said to them, yeah I am 17 you are not telling me anything at all that I dont already know and I am sure my sister already knew everything as well. she lost her virginity at 14 |
