I've started this thread so that we can post websites of particular interest. If you post the link, do make sure the link works.

The first site I would like to introduce is a great site a friend turned me onto about a month ago, then I forgot about it, and then I heard a news piece over the radio this morning as I was driving into work and though, I should post this in the Garden.

Freerice.com is a site where all you do is define a word correctly, and 10 grains of rice are donated to third world countries. The more correct answers, the more grains of rice.

Play it and contribute to ending world hunger!

The second site I would like to introduce is a cool site where you get to create your own internet radio station which plays only the music you like. Its free and you can create more than one station with different music tastes. Start off with a song or band and it will find it and play it, and after that it will play another song from a different band in the same genre and you can rate whether you like it or not so it will that band or get rid of it from your station. There's more in the controls that I have to explore, a friend just turned me onto it yesterday.

Check it out.

Been playing with the Pandora radio, it's a good way to find songs you might like but have never heard before that sound like other bands you like.

Also I did a xmas song and got lots of xmas songs!!!

greendimes.com

it is an eco site where you sign up to get your name off of junk mail lists. You pay $12 and they will reduce your junk mail by 90% which helps to save 400 million trees a year from being cut down.

It is worth the $12 cause junk mail is so wasteful so I think that is definately helpful for the enviroment plus I hate junk mail and am happy to get rid of it!

Interesting Michele. Will check it out later. The bulk of my junk mail is from casinos though! That's my own fault for signing up for their rewards cards.

You have now donated
1200 grains of rice.

Too bored to continue. Some of the words meant nothing to me but you could rule out and guess from the options.
