My sister and her husband I think have a lot of common things, like they don't party! Don't drink, though he will have a drink every once in a blue moon, mostly at my urging when I'm around once a year! I was there once and I'm like "so what do you two do on friday nights?" and they were like just this what we're doing now, sitting and watching tv. And I'm like that is boring! I'd need a cocktail for that!

ugh! couldnt stand a relationshiip so stagnant.
Glad we dont have kids and can kick it with anyone on a whim

Last night after that awful boring family party of his, we hung with my cousin and his friends then decided to go to the CASINO! :rocks

We had fun just us two and scored us money that eventually bought my Cardinals ticket.
Then went to the game and bought a six pack in a bag and drank that before the game as well as free food they had and MORE DRINKS inside the Stadium!

We still are having a blast. Gonna bbq some carne and watch tv and :julesy later

that is boring! I understand they dont drink, but they dont go out to dinner, to a movie, to a concert? to sporting events? That is boring! Save the sitting at home on a friday night watching tv for when you are retirement age!

Oh no, they do do things. Go out with friends, dinner, they even travel and stay with me so that they can watch plays and musicals in Chicago.

oh okay, then they arent that boring.

I think getting plastered all the time is boring, talk about redundant and just, ugh stupid. You have little to no control over yourself, you stumble and fall and cant speak right, you may not remember anything at all the next day, plus usually you feel like shit in the morning. So what exactly is fun and exciting about getting drunk? I just never really saw the appeal.

criag and i are alike in lots of ways, we like the same kinds of books but we argue about different authors. we kind of like the same music generally but then there are the artists we are both really into, he likes massive attack and fatboy slim (who i hate) and i like bowling for soup and pink (who he just about tolerates). hes really boring when it comes to food, hates pretty much everything and eats really badly where i like lots of different foods and try to eat as well as i can (even if it means more money for the better cut of meat)

he is so laid back hes horizontal and i stress over everything so we balance each other out on that front.

we don't really go out very much, if at all but thats becuase of a lack of money at the moment (which we finally appear to have sorted) and theo on the way. craigs done his partying, I've never been into it so its no big deal really

in the end we are alike but the little differences keep it interesting for us

go Alondria!

I think we are a bit off balance as far as responsibilty goes. Hes a bit more mature on levels such as paying of bills and not wasting money on stupid nonsense like I do.
If a bill of mine is due and Im semi broke, I will just say "FECK IT!" I will go to the book store and blow money there when it could go to paying something off.

Im horrible with money. He wants to start me on a retirement IRA or some crap and I could care less. Hes even willing to give me a head start and put a grand or two to help me start one up.
I dont want to live that long into retirement!

My boss is having some former teacher guy who is coming this week to talk to us about this stuff. I guess hes a financial advisor now. Id rather go about it my own way.

actually I do. I rarely get drunk, when I have I have never vomitted and never had a hangover. Sometimes I have trouble walking but never to the point that someone had to hold me up. And when I am drunk I get uber paranoid when a guy comes around, I wont let him touch me or anything.

jules I wasnt talking about being buzzed, I was talking about be totally plastered.

your man is right, you should start an IRA. I started one when I was 26, though I had to stop putting money into it every month last february. I am hoping by this coming spring that I will be making enough to start putting into it again. It still grows even though I havent been putting into it, but just not nearly as much as it would be if I were.

you dont want to live to retirement? you want to die young?

you dont have to get that old and wrinkly and decrepid. Take good care of yourself now and throughout your life and you can be a healthy and active senior! That is my goal! When I retire I want to be healthy enough that I can travel!
