ok, I've got a theory about the room with the veil in at the ministry. what if its a courtroom for the dead? you know like thats where myrtle got sent for harrasing alice hornby and they told her to leave alice alone.



the dais in the middle of the room could be where an appointed speaker stands. I haven't figured out the purpose of the veil yet though



anyone else got any wild theories?

what if the half blood prince is like female also something else I have this theroy it could be like Volly's brother/sister maybe his mum had twins or something. (or have I been watching to much star wars)
Or maybe an relative of Nevile or something if you think about it you don't know much about his family really and his parents were very high up in the minsty.

Neville will kick ass....maybe not in the next book though, I think the next book will be more build up and more background towards what will happen at the end. I can't help thinking Harry's aunt will serve a purpose somewhere, somehow.

Since JKR told everyone that the plot for HBP was originally a discarded plot line of COS, I decided to read this one a bit more slowly than I would the others in the series as I reread them for HBP.

Maybe this only sticks out to me, but how does Dobby know to warn Harry of the "plot to make most terrible things happen at Hogwarts"? Understandably, Dobby heard it from the Malfoys, but how did the Malfoys know? And, how did Draco not know, as later shown to us when Harry and Ron took the Polyjuice Potion?

Obviously, the Death Eaters were probably still meeting even though they had no way of knowing that Voldemort could come back. But how could Voldemort bring himself back in this way without someone knowing to set it up? This has yet to be explained, unless I've really missed something here. I don't think that Lucius Malfoy would plant a journal without knowing what would be the consequences first. But how did he know to plant the journal in the first place?

Hopefully this will be revealed in HBP, especially since Voldemort had no means of communicating to the Death Eaters once Quirrell had died, since he didn't have a human body to share (I'm pretty sure that he said that he inhabited snakes and things until Wormtail found him). But this is the first time I've noticed this while reading the book, so now it's bugging me.

being one of the main deatheaters malfoy could have been given this himself, or if malfoy knew where voldemort lived before he was stopped he could have gone and got his personal possesions. malfoy being a smart arse would have known what the diary was, written in it and told riddle all of what happened after he created the diary. riddle could then have asked malfoy to find some way of getting the diary into hogwarts so he could get to harry.


house elves are not payed attention to most of the time so malfoy couldhave talked freely infront of dobby to someone else without realising it. (i have a theory about dobby that i may post later)


lucius would not have told draco anything because he's an idiot. i mean if you had a secret plan to kill people would you tell draco?

Yeah, Draco's a dumbass. I can see someone telling Malfoy to do it since Dumbledore mentions to him in the end to stop giving out Voldemort's old school possessions. Who knows? Maybe Voldemort left a list of potential ways he could come back to the inner circle of Death Eaters, and that was one. I guess we'll find out (or not) July 16th.

actually that is the one thing i don't think he would have done, voldemort feares death over everything else, he wouldn't have given anyone the impression that he considered himself even the slight bit vulnerable

I'm in on that challenge! I'm racing Alondria!

There are 12 frogs in each box and the cards are those 3D types where the images move when you turn them this way and that. My friend got them for me from a recent candy convention.

I'm going to lose some reading time on Saturday cause I plan on going to the mall with my birthday club money. The birthday club is this thing I am a part of here at work. Every month the members pay $30 to the one whose birthday month it is. So I'll be getting $230 on Friday!
