[Kohei Academy] [Main Gate] "Probably a good idea to let your sis check it out" Rumi answered Connor. Rumi loved Sarai as her definite super best friend, but the rest of that girl's family... Not so much. She also waved and said hello to Paul as he arrived. It certainly WAS great now that Sarai and Connor were now here to complete her group of close friends, to be at Kohei now. ========================== "I need my beauty sleep," Damion answered Kagura almost immediately, before giving a little laugh. "I just am not a morning person, and soooooooomeone called me up too early this morning!" he then stuck his tongue out at Kagura. Then he was about to comment on her wrist device... until Maize did more of her greeting 'fighting', and Kagura started commenting on Maize's family. "Most families seem a bit weird, though, right?" Damion himself had absolutely no memories of his own family, or if he even had anyone. It was part of why he even was here... trying to figure out if anyone actually would know of him or be able to track down anything about his past. Perhaps Maize's 'family' wasn't the ideal example of a family, but he was amused by how they interacted. ========================== "...that kid is a nut..." Rina thought to herself, as Zhao happily accepted everything that happened, and then went on like nothing was wrong about that whole situation that had happened. "Carefree" was probably a more appropriate term, but it wasn't what Rina was thinking about. If this place was full of a lot more people like him, this was going to be a looooong year. "...Yeah. Let's not be late." ===================== "Yeah, it's your first day, so you're going to be a part of the opening event! It'll be fun to root you on!!" Dion spoke to Elysia as he lead her away from her rival. ...before realizing that Kasumi was new here, too, so she'd also be part of this event. Hopefully everything would remain civil. |

Horikoshi City Didymus paused at Integra's statements, wondering, again, if this was regular. Wasn't General Solomon supposed to be in charge of actually directing them, at least when it came to their status as SpecOps agents? Or was that just in reference to their employment in his particular unit? Or was he just in charge of their training and liasoning...? He shook his head. "Yes ma'am." he said. He could ask about this later, for now, he just got back to filing and sorting. Then, there was a commotion out in the office. "Hmm?" he wondered, finishing the sorting in a few minutes and heading back into the main room. "Is...what did I miss?" he asked, seeing the commotion. |

[Kohei Academy] [Campus Grounds] Connor nodded at Rumi's approval of the idea. Moira knew her way around the shadier side of things, and she could hopefully find any spy devices that had been set up in Sarai's apartment. He'd remember to call her after classes and set it up. “You need to wake up and party with the rest of us,” Kagura shook her head. “I never get my beauty sleep, but I turned out pretty hot, don't you think?” The question was asked like a joke, but it was still dangerous. Kagura looked over at Maize's family, until Damion commented and she turned her head towards him and shrugged. “Actually my family is the text-book definition of normal and booooooooring. I mean don't get me wrong, I love 'em and all that, but gaaaaaaaaaawd they're so plain.” From her purple-dyed hair to the spiky collar around her neck, to the vast collection of graphic tee's that mostly depicted various snakes and celestial bodies; it was a little hard to imagine Kagura's having anything to do with anyone 'plain'. Zhao didn't seem the least bit bothered by anything, as he happily strolled on towards the school, stopping every now and then to make sure Rina was coming along. It seemed he had decided that they were now friends – and didn't pick up at all on her annoyance. [Horikoshi City] [Association Building] There was a commotion; with many people now moving across the office, many others on the phones. It was a buzz – but most of the attention was still on the Horikoshi Academy, as a precaution. “There you are,” Fareeha looked over to Didymus and quickly handed him a folder. “Your first day just got a lot more exciting. We have a licensed hero dead in an apartment across town. This is the address. I need someone from Observations down there to identify him and identify whatever Quirks were used.” She shook her head. “We don't know if it was him or his killer who used the Quirk. Local police are on sight and have a perimeter, but they're just securing the area. We're taking the lead on this one since it seems extremely likely a Quirk-user was involved.” She paused. “Sorry to throw you in the deep end on your first day, but there's no telling if the perp is still in the area so I'd rather send in someone with combat experience. If you have your own car, get moving; if you don't you can grab one from the Autopool. I'll meet you there.” She turned and headed off – not towards the elevators to go down, but towards her office to suit up. She had her own transportation. |

Horikoshi City Didymus looked over the papers handed to him in short order, then looked over at Fareeha. "A murder of a LICENSED hero?" he asked. This was a tad surprising. "Do they know who the victim is? I imagine so...I guess we'll find out when we get there. I'll..." Then, she mentioned "combat experience." "...you...you really think it could be a situation like that?" he asked. "...where we may get attacked?" He paused, wondering what he should bring...if he should make a requisition... "...understood." he finally said at long last. Turning towards the autopool (he had recently moved here and hadn't purchased a car for himself, using shuttles to get around, mostly...), he thought to himself. Technically, it was within his authority...he'd just be in HUGE trouble if he misplaced it. I WON'T misplace it. It'll be on my person at all times... He quickly went to check out a car, but then, he decided, would be making an off-the-grid stop on his way to the crime scene... -Crime Scene- Another figure had been roaming town, somewhat bored and looking for leads. There was the occasional fan to greet, but honestly for a day where the Hero Academy was opening, things just seemed so...BORING. So it was that Mt. Lady-for she was still in costume-decided to trawl for work (or at least rumors of it). When she saw law enforcement personnel heading towards a tapered off area, and talk of a murder...of a licensed hero...she had to investigate. So she found herself standing there, across the street from a zoned-off building, blinking as the police went two and fro, trying to catch any more information she could get...maybe she'd just go and ask for the leads herself... [Kohei Academy] [Main Gate] “It's pretty fun!” Musashi said, oblivious to the fact that Soon-Lee looked a little uncomfortable at that news. “Last year we had this crazy obstacle course, where we had to run around and dodge through all of these crazy traps!” He paused, rubbing his neck. “I won't lie... it can be dangerous, although the teachers are mostly Pro-Heroes, and they always watch pretty close, so they don't let anyone get too banged up.” [Horikoshi City] [Association Building] “I doubt anyone will attack a crime scene surrounded by police, with Association Agents on the scene.” Fareeha shook her head. Then she gave a grim smile. “... but in my experience, you should always plan for the worst case scenario, even if it's extremely unlikely. The murder of a hero is a very rare thing for obvious reasons, so we're dealing with someone VERY dangerous.” [Crime Scene] The house on the hill was a fairly nice place. Certainly not the home of a wealthy person, but it was nicer than average. A well-manicured lawn, a large garage, a two-story home and a swimming pool out back. At least, it had been a very fine home. The front door was broken down, and the walls around it were... deeply cut. Enormous slashes in the wood and on the concrete steps out in front of it. Coming into the hall, there were several other deep slashes on the walls. Beyond the entrance hall, in the living room was a ghastly scene. The floor, walls and even ceiling were all coated in blood. The furniture had been shredded apart as if by massive blades – the walls and floor were ripped apart as well. Police were outside, although none of them were inside at the moment. After making sure the house was clear, they had locked it down. Out front, the cop in charge took notice of Mt. Lady approaching – and he groaned. “Oh goodie goodie, here comes one of them 'heroes'... you're a little late, whoever did the killin' is long gone, toots.” Because of course it's Bullock. |

Horikoshi City Mt. Lady raised an eyebrow at Bullock, but was still clearly intrigued-this was progress, one of the cops was talking. "Clearly. Or at least, let's HOPE so." she said with a bit of a smirk. "Any info? Who was the victim, anyway?" At that moment, a car pulled up. Out of it stepped Didymus-who did not come straight here, but had still arrived shortly enough. His attire remained the same, but he was carrying a firearm concealed under his vest. He was also wearing handcuffs-or rather, ONE handcuff, around his own wrist-the other cuff was attached to a sizable briefcase that he was holding with his right hand. "Good morning, I'm with the Association." he looked to Bullock. "Are you the detective in charge here? I'm here to ID the body, see if we can figure out if a quirk or what kind of quirk was used here." he said. "Ooooh!" Mt. Lady cried, trying to sound cheery. "Can I come? Surely a pro hero can help here?" Didymus paused, looking at her, recognizing her. She seemed to pause for a moment, before grinning a little. "...a pro appears to have been the VICTIM, but really it's the detective's call..." he said. |

[Horikoshi City] [Crime Scene] Bullock didn't look very happy to see a hero here, but he cooperated. “I don't know much yet, because the Association is in charge whenever one of you costumed sorts go and get axed.” There was a particular tone of annoyance in his voice when he mentioned the Association; even more so than when he mentioned heroes. He fiddled with his toothpick for a moment, until Didymus arrived – and then he just looked even more annoyed. “Oh goodie, speak of the devil... yeah, I'm 'in charge', alright.” Bullock sounded resentful. “You can go in, sure, but good luck ID-ing the... 'body'.” Above the crime scene, there was a sudden streak of blue in the sky – and a moment later an armored figure landed. The armor looked very advanced, and the wings folded back onto her back to keep out of the way. The massive cannon was strapped to her back as well. “I'm Vice-Commander Fareeha Amari, Association Rapid Response Team.” She quickly flashed her badge, as her helmet retracted to make her face visible. “Harvey, how bad is it in there?” “Bad.” Bullock didn't seem particularly spiteful at the sight of Amari, but he still looked on edge. “You guys taking this one?” “Most likely.” Fareeha shrugged. “But that's not official until we have an idea what we're dealing with.” She turned to Mt. Lady. “Assistance would be appreciated, ma'am. Do you have experience at crime scenes?” Finally, she turned to Didymus. "Head inside. See if you can get an ID." |

Horikoshi City -Crime Scene- "Speak of the devil, and in walks Lucifer..." Didymus said. "...but in all seriousness, thank you." Suddenly, Pharah arrived in her suit. Didymus blinked, not at all surprised to see such technology, not even wowed seeing it in action...but wondering why it was being brought to bear HERE of all places. And with such a lack of subtly. In any case, he was about to step inside, when Pharah addressed Mt. Lady. For her part, the pro heroine blinked, briefly debating what to say. "I...I know what a crime scene IS." she said, emphasizing the last word. Inside, she berated herself for not having a better-prepared answer. Didymus blinked, but began to head inside, especially at Pharah's statement, not wanting to have to deal with whatever was going on with this pro hero CLEARLY looking for a job even when it wasn't her business...heck, it would probably be best, he thought, if they DIDN'T have someone whose ability involved supersizing around a delicate crime scene... |

I can't see what you're imagining
|
-Horikoshi City- Airport Walter stared at Lavan for a moment, but took Lavan's hand and shook it. He might not enjoy other people's presences, but he wasn't going to be outright rude to someone, especially someone who had been nice to his sister. “You're taking the shuttle? Walter has a car we can all take, right?” Erin suggested, smiling towards her brother, who's expression did not change from his usual monotone look. “...I suppose,” Walter relented, solely because it was Erin who was asking. Anyone else would have gotten a flat “No.” “So what do you say, Lavan, Summer, and Arnold?” Erin asked each of them, smiling happily at the three. Crime Scene “Sorry I'm late,” a brown haired young man said, appearing at the crime scene now, carrying a bag. “Barry Allen, forensics, uhhh...” Barry paused, patting his jacket, until he pulled out his identification. “Got held up getting here, sorry...” -Kohei Academy- Main Gate “/If it's surveillance devices you're trying to get rid of, have Edda play with them. They might spontaneously explode/,” Paul suggested to Rumi as he joined the group, having seen what they were saying as he was approaching, reading their lips. Blake hesitated for a moment, tempted to follow after All Might. He had a lot of questions he wanted to ask... “You'll have plenty of time to talk with him later, he's going to be a teacher here,” Ethan spoke up, Blake glancing towards the man. Blake knew Ethan somewhat. He was a man who had dated his grandmother in the past, and the father of his aunt and uncle Adrianna and Aaron. He had always been nice to him whenever they met. “Oh! Hello Mr. Vire,” Blake said politely. “Where did he go?” “Oh, he's got a lot of work to do,” Ethan said, covering for All Might. “Being a hero and a teacher means a lot of stuff to handle in the background.” He smiled softly towards Blake. The boy was a little... odd, but polite, soft spoken, and cared a lot about others... even if they were someone most people wouldn't consider real, as Ethan's eyes gazed towards Samara for a moment as well. Hammah frowned a little. His physical Quirk he was good with... but his emotional ability... not so much. Jimi grinned, punching one hand into an open palm. “I hope it's some kind of combat test! I can show my stuff there!” “Yes ma'am. No violence here on campus with a bunch of people with powers or learning how to deal with people with powers. Definitely,” Cess said, pulling off a perfect salute that was utterly spoiled by the goofy grin on his face. Cess tended to flaunt authority though had always toed the line. “We're simply getting hyped up for the entrance exam, we've heard there's a lot of interesting first years this year, so if you'll excuse us...” He kept the goofy grin on his face still, because he was fairly certain it would annoy Barbara Stans. Sayuri smiled happily at her cousin, nodding as she pulled out her own drink and opened it up and took a sip. “Don't worry cous'! I'm prepared, I even brought my costume! And I have a cool name picked out!” Sayuri smiled, wide eyed. “I wouldn't be worried! It's just to set a benchmark, and I'm sure all of us will do well!” Someone walked up to Musashi and Soon-Lee, a tall, broad shouldered young man with blond hair, a confident grin. And red eyes. Next to him was a short girl with long white hair, tanned skin with a yellow dress, and the same red eyes. “Greetings!” the young man said, smiling towards Musashi and Soon-Lee. “I am Markus Fayre, this is my first year at the school!” Aiden smiled slightly, giving the two a small curtsy, “I'm his older sister Aiden, I'm a teacher's assistant here, so I do need to continue on here...” Elysia took a deep breath, nodding towards Dion. “Right... My power is good, I can do a lot with it... whatever this entrance exam is I'll ace it, and show up Kasumi!” Elysia said, clenching a fist, fire burning in her eyes now. “Uh huh...” Kyran said slightly, glancing towards Dion with a raised eyebrow. “If it's a doubles thing, I do have dibs to work with my sis here though!” |

-Kohei Academy- Main Gate "Probably a good idea to let your sis check it out" Sarai frowned a bit and tightened her grip on Connor's arm, the two continung on with the group for a few minutes before Sarai pulled Connor back a bit. "You don't think my dad would hate you that much to booby trap the apartment? I mean he hasn't even met you, and you're- you! Even if he knew we were dating he couldn't hate you!" Sarai said optimistically. Ha ha yes he could. "W-What i'm trying to say....Is maybe it was wrong to try and keep you a secret." She managed, face a bit red. [...] Chloe felt Edda slip from her arm, dodging Maize's attack in a very smooth motion. The girl grinned, knowing from experience that trying to attack her boyfriend was futile, as he was the only person she knew (not related to her) that could hold his own against her brute strength. "I couldn't just date any old guy could I?" Chloe said with a chuckle as the fighting died down. “I'm not going to have to do that when I meet your dad too, am I?” "Probably actually" She said with a grin a shrug. "You think we're impressive, dad will give you a real run for your money!" [...] Samara felt Ethan's eyes on her and the girl, vanished from sight- only to appear on the other side of Blake, shielded from his view. The girl was always on defensive (it was just a part of being a potentially dangerous entity of Blake that everyone wanted to get rid of constantly) |

[Kohei Academy] [Campus Grounds] Connor followed happily with his friends, until he felt the gentle pulling on his arm. As Sarai urged him to fall back, he did and he turned to her with concern in his eyes. He could tell something was wrong. While Sarai was generally nervous anyway, this looked a little more than just first-day jitters. He paused as he heard, and he shrugged his shoulders. “I don't know. I don't mind, if that's what you're worried about. From what you've told me, your family can be kind of protective so I can understand why you'd want to keep us a secret...” He considered his next words carefully, as his cheeks started to fill up with red. “... but at the same time... Sarai, I... I think we could have a future together, you know? So maybe... I should meet them? I mean, I'd have to eventually...” Musashi looked over to the blond as he appeared, and he paused, noticing the boy's eyes. They were red – just like Musashi's, and just like someone else he knew all-too-well. It wasn't quite unusual, given the wide variety of Quirks, but it still struck him a bit. “Nice to meet you Markus! I'm Musashi. I'm a returning student, so I guess if either of you firsties have any questions, I can try to answer.” His eyes moved over to Aiden, and he nodded to her. “TA, huh? Sounds cool! I just hope you don't get stuck working with Aizawa too much, that guy is a real pain in the as-” A white bandage suddenly wrapped tightly around Musashi's mouth, and with a violent tug he was knocked face-first onto the ground. Aizawa was walking by, but not even looking towards them as he retracted the bandage. “Don't be late, Miyamoto, or you're expelled.” Musashi growled a bit, as he jumped back to his feet and rubbed his jaw. “... How does he always know?” Nanami paused, frowning a bit. She was a little worried about Sayuri being a hero... she knew first hand how dangerous this job could really be, and Sayuri had always seemed too nice and... a little too naive. Still, she clenched her fist at her side. She would not lose anyone else. “Sayuri, I'm glad you're excited, but it takes more than a costume and a cool name. I won't be helping you with the entrance exam, so I hope you've been practicing.” Nanami said as she sipped the coffee, trying to shake away the thoughts of Taichi... but it would be hard, especially today. “Don't worry too much about the entrance test. And don't let Kimi ruffle your feathers.” Of course, the moment Kimi had walked off, another familiar face had popped out from nearby bushes, picking a leaf from his beard. Sama gave a small sigh, adjusting the suit he'd worn for the first day. Being a teacher was a very new experience, and at least half the duo had tried to make a good impression. “So, uh... listen, I'll work on Kimi, okay? You know how she is... but I think deep-down, she's happy to see you guys are here, on your way to being heroes. So... just don't worry about it.” [Horikoshi City] [Airport] Arnold felt very awkward about taking a ride from Walter. He didn't know any of them very well, and Walter didn't seem friendly... but he was determined to put the past behind him, and try to connect with people, so he just rubbed his neck. “I mean... as long as it isn't a bother, sure.” [Crime Scene] Fareeha looked over to Allen, and raised an eyebrow. He was somehow always late to crime scenes, but it was good that he had shown up. She just nodded. “Not a problem Allen. We're just now heading inside.” Then she turned her attention to Mt. Lady, and frowned a bit. It was clear that she didn't have much experience at crime scenes, and that could be an issue. “I think it would be best if you secured the perimeter with the police, then. We can't risk disturbing evidence.” Tiny anti-gravity boosters on her boots suddenly clicked on, and Fareeha entered the door – although she was floating a few inches off the ground. She was determined not to disturb the crime scene in any way, until Barry and Didymus has a chance to properly collect evidence. Inside was a mess. As they moved down the hallway, into the living room they would find the crime scene... Blood was everywhere, and laying in the middle of a coffee table that looked to have been chopped apart was the “body”. … Or at least, the pieces. Just like the walls, door and furniture, the body had also been brutally chopped apart. What could only be described as 'slashes' and 'stabs' were all across the room, as if some tornado of swords had swept through the building. “... It's been a very long time since I've seen brutality like this,” Fareeha shuddered. |

Horikoshi City -Crime Scene- Didymus walked in, raising an eyebrow at Pharah's turning on antigrav boots, wondering if there was indeed an propulsion that would disrupt the crime scene...and off hand, thinking... If THIS kind of tech is available to the PUBLIC units...I mean, I know I have some hardware in my briefcase, but they haven't shown us EVERYTHING yet... He stepped into the house, and as they moved further along the hallway, Didymus simply kept quiet, even as the gore unfolded and the furniture appeared chopped up. He was very, very quiet, almost as if he was consciously TRYING not to say anything, even as Pharah made her own comment. Until finally, he looked at the body-he DID show a bit of visible disgust, but remained quiet still, save for a single remark. "If this is the body, I shall get to identifying it, then running a cross-reference of who it could be, and if there are any quirks in the area known to utilize swords." Outside, Mt. Lady huffed and crossed her arms, but realized there was nothing she could do-her lack of legal experience kept her away. So she simply took Pharah's advice and "helped secure the perimeter". And by that, meaning "hang around outside and wait for the first sniffs of a lead she could get from the people actually ALLOWED inside". |

Kohei Academy Campus Grounds “I could do combat!” Kay lied. This was something she didn't think too much about; she'd have to learn how to do physical combat. Most of her skill was mental in nature, even if it did interact with the world around her. She hoped she'd learn what she needed in this school. – Barbara frowned even more than she already was. “Don't push your luck, Mr. Cess.” She turned to Strobe. “You will speak with me later.” Without another word, she walked off. Probably to do some paperwork or something. Horikoshi City Airport “A free ride? With a hero?” Summer grinned. “Yeah, why not?! I'm down!” She rushed herself closer to the group. |
