-Kohei Academy- Main Gates "What's so great, hmmmmmm?" Rumi turned around, now walking backwards as she began leading Sarai and Connor towards the main building. "Did you get your belly button pierced or something while you were away, Sarai, and that's what you want to show Connor?" She smiled happily, before continuing to speak, "Though I'm not so into the piercing stuff myself, but some people are really into lots of different types of jewelry, so that's good for them!" ======================= "Yeah, I don't know what could beat that, but if I know you like I think I do, you're probably thinking of something," Damion answered Kagura, with a laugh of his own. ======================= Rina slinked down as Zhao grabbed her around her shoulder, not particularly thrilled with that happening. And then he asked her to punch him in the face. It WAS a face that looked pretty punchable at this moment, but... "...Just what kind of thug do you think I am?" she spoke flatly, turning her head towards Zhao with some very unenthusiastic looking eyes. "Apology accepted, but I'm not just going to punch you because you want me to, to 'get even'..." Edited by Dark Phazon, May 1 2018, 07:13 PM.

-Kohei Academy- Sarai stiffened a bit, turning to Rumi with a flustered expression as they walked. "M-My dad would never let me get my belly button pierced!" she said, somehow more flustered about this now than the idea of her own apartment. "He'd absolutely kill me!" she finished, debating whether or not to spill the beans to the other girl. "No...It's just my dad got me my own place this year, s-so I won't have to live on campus...He s-said it would kept keep me focused." Or it would totally keep her distracted....With Connor. Geez. In a desperate attempt to preemptively stop Rumi from assuming the "B-But it's no big deal" Sarai said dismissively "I-It's not even that nice. Just a place to study and sleep really" |

[Kohei Academy] [Main Gates] Connor's cheeks turn a little pink and he shook his head. Somehow Rumi always found something embarrassing to say . . . but she was a good friend, so he'd just shake his head and go along with it. Once Sarai spilled the beans on her new place, though, Connor paused. He could only imagine what Rumi would say to that. “Ohhh, I'm always thinking of something.” Kagura grinned, wiggling her eyebrows for a moment – and then she burst out laughing, and clapped Damion on the back a few times. “Anyway, we should get ready! I think evaluations will be starting soon... it's mostly for the new students, but hey, I'm gonna participate anyway! It's always so much fun.” Zhao blinked, tilting his head. Rina was a strange one alright. He shrugged, and then just grinned. “Okay then! We'll call it even! In that case, why don't we hurry on? We don't want to be late or anything.” Over by the main gate of the school, Nanami had arrived finally. She wore a dark jacket over her usual outfit, and sipped on a frozen beverage she'd bought along the way. With a slight sigh, she stepped out onto the grass of the main yard. It was time to continue pushing forward towards her goal. She looked out around the campus, scanning the area for any familiar faces... [Horikoshi City] [Association Building] As soon as he slipped the earpiece in, Didymus would hear Integra's voice. “Agent.” She said simply. “You're one of Solomon's, correct? Good. From here on our, all communication will be done over this earpiece. I can hear you just fine.” She leaned back in her chair. “... Special Operations works a little differently than the rest of the departments. Solomon has high hopes that your project will be a template moving forward. It's not the first time I've been told that. Let's see if he's correct.” |

Horikoshi City Didymus listened as Integra spoke over the earpiece, nodding a bit. "Um, yes. I am one of Solomon's." he said. "I...understand Spec Ops works differently, ma'am, yes. But...all of our communication? I...um, yes ma'am." He was a bit confused-was this going to be a special task? Was Integra planning to keep this up long-term? Briefly, the idea of a power struggle between his two "bosses" came to mind-he hoped, even guessed against, that being the case, but he DID know that Solomon was still technically US Army, or at least had one foot in the army and the other in the Association...but maybe he was just being paranoid, he thought. Heck, he knew his project duties would come before Association duties and therefore he wasn't sure precisely how he stood in the organization, but for now this seemed fitting enough for Special Operations. "He does ma'am, yes." he said, not sure what else he should say just into the earpiece, in public. He understood, if he recalled his briefing correctly, that a similar unit already existed in the US and even had met with some successes...but all of this was very hush-hush, so for the moment he kept hush-hush about it. He decided to focus on tasks at hand. "What can I do for you, ma'am?" he asked, as he began his publicly-assigned task of filing... |

-Kohei Academy- Main Gate Maize grinned as Chloe blocked her attack, giving her sister a thumbs up. “Awww, it wasn't that hard! How yah doin'?” Maize asked, grinning. When she had left her mother, to find her father, she hadn't thought about the possibility of siblings, and finding out she had some who were also very strong made her very happy. Blake looked up at All Might with wonder in his eyes, smiling widely. “I do! My powers are a little... odd... but they're strong, and I can use them to help people!” Blake said, nodding, “Oh! My name is Blake Hawkins! And this is my friend, Samara!” Blake introduced Samara, who was a shadow person crafted from his powers, but Blake always just referred to her as his friend. Jimi scowled, about to retort to Kimi when Hammah put a hand on his shoulder, shaking his head. For Jimi, this Hero Academy felt like just going through the motions for him. His creator had taught him, he believed he knew how to be a hero, and he had control of his powers. The whole thing felt like a rigamarole to him, but The Professor had been adamant that he and Hammah go through the proper channels. And Jimi knew Hammah craved the chance for something of normalcy, so he went with it. “Fine... I'll prove to the world I can be a better hero then you are!” Jimi smirked then. Hammah sighed slightly, then turned back to Kay and Bianca. “So... first year as well here?” “A guy like All Might, he's gonna wanna see all the students some,” Cess said, “So I'm sure you'll get some classes with him too, Strobe!” He glanced around, then whispered conspiratorially. “And if that Ms. Stans keeps giving you trouble, let me know, I might know a guy who could get his hands on some stink bombs or something.” Elysia glared angrily at Kasumi now. “You should still apologize!” Elysia yelled, “Don't make me kick your butt! I won't even need to use my Quirk to do so!” Kyran sighed, shaking her head head slightly. “Hey cous'!” a short girl with black twintails said, waving towards Nanami, having been resting against the gate, idly playing a game on her phone, looking up as Nanami approached. Sayuri hopped forward, grinning at her taller cousin. “I was about to text you and ask where you were! You and Avril and Solei stay up late enjoying the last night of freedom before classes or something?” -Horikoshi City- Association Building “Oh, just wondering why I wanted this job with all this paperwork. Was easier when I was a normal soldier, was just worried about who was shooting me,” Peterson said with a smirk towards Targus. Hawkins' House Galv smiled softly as he made sure Melanie was comfortable, getting a small blanket over her and giving her a soft kiss on the top of her head. Before he left the house he headed down into the basement, punching in a code to his workshop, moving inside and selecting a few items he hid on his person. Satisfied for now, he left, locking the door behind him as he headed down the street... Airport Erin smiled brightly. Someone else was joining them at the school, all these new friends! Lavan, Summer, and Arnold! “I'm a first year... but my brother is already a pro hero! Hydro!” Erin said, “He's suppose to be meeting me here...” She scanned the crowd as she followed the rest to the luggage, then smiled and waved towards someone. Approaching the group was a tall man with blond hair and blue eyes, looking a little stiff as he stared at the others. “Walter! These are some new friends I made!” Erin said energetically. “Lavan, Summer, and Arnold!” “I see...” Walter said, eying each of the three carefully. He didn't say hello. |

Kohei Academy Main Gate "Ahh, so that's what it was!" Rumi kept on smiling, but then stopped her backwards-walking and fell silent for a few moments. "Yep, that place is almost definitely under surveillance and you'll probably die if you step foot near that apartment, Connor!" She then spun back around and started walking forwards again, without missing a beat. "So if you DO want some private space, you two may want to do that at my place instead. I'll be sure to give you your space, ========================== "Yep, now I'm worried." Damion quickly answered Kagura, "And oh yeah, I forgot about that. ...I should try and get some energy drink or tea or something before that starts... You want anything Kagura? Or you Maize?" he then spoke louder to the girl greeting her half-sister, "Want anything to drink?" ========================== Dion sighed as well at Elysia's reaction to Kasumi, but instead of still sitting back, he took a step forward now, towards Elysia. "Okay, okay, um... Let's try not to fight and get in trouble right on the first day here, hopefully?" he spoke out, before putting his hand on Elysia's shoulder. Dion still felt like this was a losing conversation, but was hopeful he could maybe diffuse this a little bit without too much trouble. ...or getting zapped by Elysia. |

Kohei Academy Main Gate Kay smiled at Jimi. There was something about his ambition that she admired. Of course there was a hint of spite in his words, but she understood it. She couldn't deny that a lot of what she did was out of spite as well. Kay nodded toward Hammah. “Yep, first time here. I can't wait to see how it goes!” – Strobe chuckled. “I appreciate the thought, ghost-man, but she'll know I had something to do with it and I'll get the lecture of a lifetime. We're adults, we gotta act like it.” “What does she have against you anyway?” Shimera asked. “You're really nice when you're not cursing!” Strobe had an idea as to why it was Barbara Stans had a beef with her. The old fart probably saw a bunch of her old records. Strobe is transgender. While a lot of folks outside her hometown were either really chill about it or couldn't tell, she couldn't escape the hell that is government bureaucracy. Though she wasn't entirely sure. Ms. Stans probably just had a problem. She shrugged. “It's probably all the cursing.” Horikoshi City Airport “Nah man, I'm good,” Summer said to Lavan. “I can find it on my own.” Soon more folks showed up. Summer greeted Arnold with a wave, then Walter showed up. “Yo,” she said, brushing her hand reflexively through her bright-pink dyed hair. “...Oh damn that's my bag,” she said quickly before scrambling toward it. The bag was black and was covered in patches resembling all sorts of animals. Most of them were cats. |

Kohei Academy Main Gate "H-Hey! I've done a very god job of making sure my father doesn't know Connor exists!" Sarai said certainly, knowing that in any other situation that sentence would probably be offensive to someone she loved as much as Connor, but also knowing it was very much for the best that Connor was a well kept secret from her father and brothers. "He's perfectly safe at my place-" Sarai then paused, biting her lip. What if she was wrong? What if Genius somehow DID know about Connor? She felt a bit of a chill on her neck. "Y-Yes! Perfectly s-safe" she repeated, attempting to make herself feel better. [...] From behind Blake, Samara peaked out, not saying anything to the men in front of her. She knew All Might...He was a good guy. Her, not so much. She wondered if All Might would know that.... [...] “Awww, it wasn't that hard! How yah doin'?” "Says you!" she said shaking her wrist for a second longer before giving a little laugh "And not bad! You know Edda right?" Chloe said, motioning to the young man behind her. She rushed back to his spoke, grabbing his arm. "My handsome beau!" |

[Kohei Academy] [Main Gate] Connor did feel a little weird that a major aspect of his relationship was making sure no one in Sarai's family ever discovered that he existed; but it was for the best. He had heard the horror stories from Sarai, and had a feeling that it would only cause her pain to have to deal with them discovering him. So he had no problem hiding himself. “We could ask Moira to give your place a once-over. If your dad did set up some kind of recording device to monitor you, she could find it. She's good with that stuff.” Connor didn't feel like elaborating the reasons why his sister was such an expert at finding and disabling security systems, though. All Might just grinned down at Blake and Samara. The towering man grinned and he held up a thumb to both of them. “Well Blake, Samara, it is good to meet you! And do not worry little friend; it doesn't matter how odd your powers may be, what matters is you're using them correctly!” He beamed, that perfect smile that was somehow both calming and intimidating all at once. “And that's what Kohei is here for!” “Good luck, kid.” Kimi sounded rather dismissive of Jimi, but as she turned to leave, she let a small smile cross her lips. She doubted very much that someone like Jimi could be a hero, but if he was so intent on proving her wrong, maybe he'd do an alright job. She walked off, still unsure how she felt about the clones being at the school, but she would deal with it. Bianca, meanwhile, nodded. “It's my first year too. I honestly didn't think I'd ever make it, but... I'm really glad to be here.” “Probably wise.” Kagura shrugged. She paused, grabbing Damion by the arm and shaking her head. “Geeez, what's with you that you need caffeine? It's the first day, I'm sure evaluations will be starting soon, how can you not be exciiiiiiiiited?” Kagura seemed far too energetic and bouncy for having gotten up so early in the morning. She released Damion's arm and twirled in place for a moment, before poking at the small, square device mounted on her wrist. Nanami paused at the voice, and turned in time to see Sayuri. Nanami gave a slight smile as she walked over to her. She'd always had a soft spot for Sayuri. She had viewed herself as almost a big sister to Sayuri when they were growing up. “Hey Sayuri,” Nanami nodded. “Nothing like that. I'm just running a little slow this morning. How are you?” [Horikoshi City] [Airport] Arnold seemed even quieter when Walter showed up. He tensed a bit... a professional hero. He didn't see many of them back in his small village. He grabbed his plain black backpack from the conveyor loop, and quietly stood with the others. [Association Building] “I must admit, I've never been a big fan of paperwork.” Targus laughed, shaking his head. “Were it not for my assistants, I doubt I could have kept my companies afloat for that very reason.” He shook his head, and then glanced at one of the large monitors on the wall, displaying a feed from Kohei. “Ah... almost time for the opening ceremonies. I should get going. Always nice to see you, Peterson.” “Right now? Nothing. However, I want to be able to contact you. Special Ops missions happen fast, quiet and without much warning. Solomon assures me you can handle it.” |

-Kohei Academy- Main Gate Walking towards Rumi, Connor, and Sarai was a tall, dark skinned man in purple and blue now, waving towards the three, since he couldn't shout to be heard. Paul had appeared! “I wouldn't say no to some juice!” Maize called back to Damion, before turning her attention back towards Chloe and Edda. “Your beau huh?” Maize said, rubbing her chin. Then she moved, Edda slipping out of Chloe's arm and dodging the attack, Maize's fist flying through where his head had been, grinning. She threw several more punches, Edda dodging each one, until in one attack he brought his hand up, using Maize's momentum to slide her arm to the side, grabbing it and using her momentum and lack of mass compared to Edda to bring her around and unto the ground with an audible slam. “Hahahaha, he's good!” Maize laughed from the ground, popping back up as Edda raised an eyebrow. “I approve, Chloe! A fighter!” “I'm not going to have to do that when I meet your dad too, am I?” Edda asked Chloe. Elysia stiffened for a moment when Dion's hand went on her shoulder, then softened when she realized who it was. “...Bah, you're right, she's not worth the effort,” Elysia said, huffing and turning her back towards Kasumi, taking Dion's hand. “Come on, let's move away from her, I need to calm down before the opening ceremonies start.” Jimi smirked as Kimi walked away, tallying that up as a victory for him which no one except him would really care about. “What do you think the opening ceremonies are going to be?” Hammah asked Kay and Bianca. “I've heard there's been all sorts of things done before, to test out students...” From what he heard it was normally for newer students to strut their stuff, but older students could participate to see how much they had grown. Blake smiled brightly. He loved meeting All Might, the man was his hero! Always a smile, no matter the pain, bringing in a ray of light even in the darkest of days... Just like he wanted to do! “We won't let you down, All Might!” Blake said happily. “Come on, there's other students in her classes that don't like her,” Cess said, “Like that Edda guy, I've heard he's not fond of Stans either.” Though it was probably doubtful Stans disliked Edda, Edda had picked up on Stans personality before and wasn't a fan of the teacher. Though it probably didn't help that Edda seemed pretty bad with any tech that wasn't very intuitive. Sayuri grinned brightly at Nanami. “I got some iced coffee drinks if you want one for a pick me up!” She pulled out a can of cold coffee drink from her bag, offering it to Nanami. “And I'm doing good, excited for my first year here! I can't wait to make some new friends!” -Horikoshi City- Airport Walter merely nodded towards Summer and Arnold, remaining his usual cold self. “Don't worry about Walter being distant! He's a softie!” Erin said smiling, grabbing her bags, which Walter offered to take, but Erin shook her head, “I got them brother!” He was only a softie to Erin, and even then unless you knew him well it was hard to tell. Association Building “Paperwork makes the world go round,” Peterson said with a shrug, then nodded when Targus said he should go. “Understood sir. Have fun. Say hello to All Might for me, I might head over myself later to see how things are. There's a couple new students I wanna check on there.” Grandchildren of the man who Peterson owed his and numerous other people's lives to... |

[Horikoshi City] [Airport] Lavan shook his head as Arnold posed his initial question, quickly checking to make sure his big red box wasn't busted up and that it was still properly locked. Normally, it wouldn't be too much of a problem, but this particular bag of luggage had some... Interesting things within it, things he would rather not have bounced about too much lest they actually BECOME volatile. "Naw, man, I'm new as well. Actually, I WOULD have been in this place even earlier, perhaps even by a few years, but there have been a few issues with administration that my folks were looking into, and family... Issues. Let's just say that for the longest time, my mum was very much against sending me to places like these. She's big on self-expression, and she took too much dislike to some of the more... Questionable heroes within the association that have cropped up a few years back." He shrugged. "Well, that and my power. My ability's just a teeeeensy bit volatile, so it needed fairly specific accommodations. Took a while to get that all through administration." That's when Erin called out and Lavan met his first named hero within the city: Walter. Otherwise known as Hydro, a rising star among the hero count from what Lavan had heard on general news, though his name was still fairly low-key. It didn't stop him from stretching out a hand and grinning openly. "Yo! Pleasure to meetcha! Name's Lavan, newbie and the guy voted most likely to have exploded a toilet back in elementary. Don't ask why there was such a vote, there were... Circumstances. Not all of which were under my control. Hydro, eh? Much respect for ya, man. That rescue at the Trade Commissions was hella ballsy, big props. Say, since your sis is around and we're all recent meet-and-greets, care to tag along for a joyride? We're taking the shuttle to the academy grounds to get there right before the primary announcements, and I betcha you'd like to spend a few quiet moments with your sib." |

[Kohei Academy] Main Gate Soon-Lee raised an eyebrow, though this action couldn't really be seen under the shadow cast by his hood. "A test, you say...?" he asked Musashi rhetorically while holding his chin. He wasn't worried about not having the raw powers needed to pass whatever this test was, of course. But whether or not he'd be able to utilize them well and not immediately make enemies of the entire school was what was really worrying him. He thought to himself, "Alright... I hope the little bit that I do know how to use will be enough. Otherwise, I'm screwed." Soon-Lee groaned after these few moments of silent contemplation. -- Kasumi gave a short but strong sigh, then put her hand on her temple for a few minutes while closing her eyes. She then sighed again, this time a longer but much softer sigh, as she opened her eyes and spoke, "Okay, okay, I'm sor--" But then she noticed that Elysia was already gone. "Well... alright then." Kasumi said, hands on her hips and feeling a little exasperated. Inside the School Amelie had gotten into the school. ((I'm not sure if students are allowed in here yet or not. If they aren't, she snuck in. If they are, then she just went ahead of most of the others.)) As she wandered the halls, she couldn't help but marvel at how gigantic it was. The halls were long, and the ceiling was much higher than she was expecting. Somehow, the school while still looking big on the outside just couldn't even compare to how enormous it looked on the inside. Amelie could imagine many other students being intimidated by such an imposing establishment. Not her, of course. If anything, she was filled with excitement for what this place had in store for her. |

[Kohei Academy] [Main Gate] “Hey Paul!” Connor waved, as he spotted the familiar face. Connor was happy to have now seen the entire little group he knew so well, and eagerly waved his friend over. It felt good to be back at Kohei, with his arm around Sarai and Rumi's antics. Paul was here now, and he knew Chloe and Edda weren't far away (although he'd let Edda deal with the possible punches on his own for now). “... They got a weird family.” Kagura commented, before shaking her head. Bianca paused, rubbing her chin and dwelling on Hammah's question. “I dunno... Kohei is all about learning to control and properly use your Quirks... so the opening ceremony is usually a test to see where people are, and how much work they have ahead of them...” All Might beamed, and then – although it was barely perceptible – he felt a twinge through his system. He laughed triumphantly, and tussled Blake's hair. “That's good m'lad! Good! Now, if you'll excuse me, I have to prepare for the opening ceremony!” He laughed once more, and then jumped – and easily covered the entire grounds of the yard, and landed on the roof of Kohei. Once he was out of sight from the students, he collapsed against the wall, his muscles fading into the thin, nearly malnourished form that was his true self. He breathed hard for a moment – and then began to cough up blood. “Ugh... damn it... I'm running out of time.” All Might sighed, his grin having faded. “One of those students... I'll have to find someone soon...” Nanami nodded, taking the coffee can and for a moment her hand shone with a slight blue light as she chilled it quite a bit, and then popped the top and took a drink. She looked over to Sayuri. “Thank you. I'm glad you're excited for your first year here... just be careful, okay? This school can be a bit weird.” Musashi nodded, nonchalantly. “Yep! Oh, but don't worry,” He quickly realized that telling a new student about the test might sound intimidating. “It's all very standard-fare. Mr. Aizawa will probably go around saying that those who do poorly will be expelled, but you can pretty much ignore him.” Probably terrible advice. “The test is just to see where people are, in terms of controlling their Quirks!” [Horikoshi City] [Airport] He shrugged. "Well, that and my power. My ability's just a teeeeensy bit volatile, so it needed fairly specific accommodations. Took a while to get that all through administration." Arnold froze as Lavan spoke. He sounded so nonchalantly – and his eyes widened slightly. He could relate far too well to words like that. He instinctively looked down at his hand, and the scars on his palm, and he shook his head. He didn't say anything, though. He didn't want to reveal his Quirk until he had to, and even talking about it was... uncomfortable. |

Kohei Academy Main Gate Kay hummed, trying to think. “Hmm, maybe it's a test of physical endurance? I sure hope it's not that.” She looked around at the campus, partially hoping to get a vision of the ceremony. – “I haven't talked much with that guy,” Strobe replied to Cess. “I wouldn't be surprised. She's condescending and pompous, and she acts like she owns the damn place. I have half a mind to punt her ass to the moon.” “There will be absolutely no violence on this campus,” interrupted a stern voice. Barbara Stans had approached the group. She couldn't hear everything, due to all the ruckus of the students, but she did get close enough to Strobe, Shimera, and Cess eventually to at least hear about the punting. “I don't think she'd actually hurt anyone!” Shimera chimed in. “I only saw her punch one guy and that was a year ago!” After an audible groan from Strobe, Ms. Stans spoke again. “Kohei Academy does not and will not tolerate threats. Is that clear, Ms. Strobe?” Strobe rolled her eyes. “Yes, Ms. Stans.” Barbara looked at Shimera (who felt much shorter looking at this woman), then Cess. She knew little about them, other than they both had Quirks and that they hung out with Strobe very often. This could be useful. Horikoshi City Airport “Hey dude, you alright?” Summer asked, walking up to Arnold. She looked toward where Lavan was chatting up with Walter. “Is that guy spookin' ya?” |

[Kohei Academy] [Main Gate] Bianca could only shrug. “I don't know the details. I think they change it up every year... but I think the idea is to see how well you can use your Quirk.” She sighed. Her own Quirk was... weird. It was purely supportive, and using it might make things very, very strange. [Horikoshi City] [Airport] Arnold gave a slight jump of surprise. He still wasn't used to... people yet. At least not ones who were treating him friendly. He gave a little smile and rubbed the back of his neck. “Oh, I'm fine. My mind was just wandering a bit... I guess I'm just used to being quiet.” He shook his head, looking at Walter and Lavan. “Lavan seems pretty... energetic. Definitely not used to that. Walter... I don't know.” [Association Building] Fareeha was just about to sit back at her desk, when her phone rang. She answered, and immediately her face fell. “Where? … Sh*t. Okay. I'll be right there. Lock down the scene, nobody in or out. Coordinate with the HCPD.” She glanced over to Peterson. “Oi! We've got a dead Hero, right here in Horikoshi. Police are on sight, from the sound of things it was a homicide, apparently signs that Quirks were used, but the PD don't know if it was the Hero's or his killer's.” She frowned. “I'm heading over. You want to come with, or coordinate from here? And where's that new guy from Observations, I'll need someone to document the scene...” |
