[Kohei Academy] [Main Gate] Laila could only sigh. Kasumi and Elysia's bitter and unexplained rivalry was well-known, although she had no idea what had started it. She heard some vague story about Go Karts, but that was about it. She just sighed and then lifted her hand – and something slithered out from under her sleeve. It was black, but flowed like water. Slightly translucent, but reminiscent of a shadow. The 'shadow water' shot out and curled up around Elysia, flowing through her hair and washing away the bits of slushy without getting her soaked; and then it jumped away from her head, hit the ground and disappeared in a puff of smoke. “Now come on, no fighting on campus. You know that'll just cause problems.” Laila sighed. Verity stopped as Amelie called out to her and she grinned, looking over at the blonde. “Ah! Thank you! I made it myself, it's supposed to be my hero costume, but I just love to wear it so much...” She smiled at the group. Verity wasn't very good at dealing with people, but she was trying her best. “I'm Verity Solomon, it's nice to meet you! These are my siblings, Vincent and Vespa!” The family resemblance was a little hard to spot. “Hello.” Vincent smiled, as he gave a polite bow. “'sup.” Vespa just shrugged. “That's a really cool Quirk, Kay!” Bianca was impressed. The idea that she could see some possibility of the future, that was both scary and exciting. It was definitely unique among the Quirks she had ever seen before, and Bianca was impressed, and now wondering what other strange Quirks might be around the school. “Yep!” She smiled to Jimi. “Basically. . . okay, like say you have super strength, which I guess you do... if I sang something up-tempo, you'd basically be twice as strong! And you'd also probably get a boost to your speed, and your endurance... but if I sang something low-tempo, you're strength would be way, way weaker, and you'd be slower and feel really tired.” Bianca's “Bard's Song” was an odd Quirk, one that didn't have much potential on its own, but she provided excellent support for others. “Sup' Corny!” Kagura rushed over, grinning to Maize and patting the girl on the back. Kagura quite liked Maize and Damion; they were her two best friends, and she always had a good time when they were around. It seemed to only amplify her energy. She then rubbed her chin. “I dunno Rumi, you might have to watch Damion... he may not look it, but he can be a real lady killer if he wants to.” Musashi blinked, and then he just laughed and rubbed the back of his neck. He had hoped nobody would really notice the resemblance, but he had a feeling it could have happened. It was hard to stay anonymous when your father was a world leader. “Oh... don't worry about it, I get told that all the time!” Musashi waved it off. “Nice to meetcha, Soon-Lee! A newbie, huh? Well, don't worry! This school is a LOT of fun... and also pretty scary... oh, but don't worry about that part!” Zhao blinked. He genuinely had no idea why Rina was so angry, but a fight was a fight, and at a school of super heroes, maybe a fight wouldn't be as boring as it usually was. She charged at him and swung; and Zhao slipped his head out of the way at the last second, letting her icy punch fly just a few inches away from his nose. “Ohhhh, I got chills! You were pretty close . . . but you're kinda slow, you know?” Zhao tilted his head. |

Horikoshi City "Ah, thanks." Didymus said when he was directed to the printer, but paused when Fareeha asked him what he found. "Oh, um, nothing too detailed yet, but it looks like some Peruvian politician's son got into a fight with a kid with a quirk. No clear indication who provoked who or who threw the first punch, but said politician's son is now hospitalized and the kid with the quirk was taken into custody. Local pro and anti-quirk groups are getting rather riled up about the incident...and again, both of these people who fought were CHILDREN, so there's that element too...but that's just what I gleaned from skimming a few articles about it. I don't know if we really meddle in a country's politics like this...in any case, yeah. If we have people who handle stuff in South America, I thought they might want to know about this...if that's you, then let me go get what I printed out..." he said. Then Peterson approached him. "THE new hire? I'm not the only one new here, am I? Does word travel that fast? In any case...Army, you say? United States, I'm guessing by the accent...I'm Didymus..." |

[Kohei Academy] [Main Gate] Amelie smiled and greeted back, "I'm Amelie. Amelie DuCiel. It's nice to meet you guys! Are you guys new to the school, too?" -- Soon-Lee rubbed his chin, "Scary, eh? I actually don't scare very easily..." That wasn't entirely true. Soon-Lee definitely had fears. But they were more related to his own powers and how people reacted to them, than anything else. "Have you learned a lot about your own quirk while studying here?" |

[Kohei Academy] "SARAIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII!" Before Sarai could turn around to face her best friend Rumi had launched herself at the girl, wrapping her arms tightly around her midsection in a hug. The girl gave a small yelp but recovered pretty quickly- having been used to this from the girl since she was in middle school. Thanks in part to her upbringing Sarai was coming to Kohei without many friends. But she did have Rumi. "H-Hey R-Rumi!" she managed, catching her breath. [...] Joyce didn't claim to know (or understand) of all of her sibling's rivalries and such but she felt like this was something that her sister needed to handle- last thing they needed was someone who wasn't going to this school anymore to bust up some kid for clumsily spilling a smoothie. "Don't do anything that's gonna get you kicked out on the first day okay?" she asked with a slight sigh [...] Jens and I don't specifically have a bad history. Our dad's do. My dad's the older but he was... passed over for a family thing, and my uncle got it instead. Even before that they never got along, my uncle is suppose to be a real piece of work though. From what I know and seen of him before, Jens doesn't fall far from the tree...” Chloe was kinda nosy, this wanted more details, but he held her tongue instead giving a small nod. "Ah, got it." she said simply. "So he's bad news" [Horikoshi City] Melanie knew Galv was right but she still couldn't get rid of the nagging feeling that sending Blake to Kohei was the wrong choice. She knew her son wouldn't intentionally hurt anyone (being the only boy in a family of all girls made him extra pacifistic) but she also knew that control wasn't his strongsuit- and his incredibly strong powers didn't help. Melanie sighed tiredly, pushing the food around on her plate. "Hopefully someone there can help him understand his powers better than we have..." Edited by Crystal Rose, Apr 22 2018, 04:54 PM.

[Kohei Academy] [Main Gate] “Yep!” Verity nodded. She wasn't at all sure how to interact with others, but she was going to bluff her way through it. “Just starting this year... I thought it might be good to get a Hero's License.” “... Well, it can't hurt I suppose.” Vincent shrugged. The green-haired boy didn't seem particularly enthusiastic. “You said 'too', so I take it this is your first year at the school, Amelie?” “Don't worry, I won't let them get kicked out.” Laila promised Joyce with a weak smile. “... I'll keep an eye on everybody so there's no trouble... and worst come to worst, I can always ask dad.” She sighed a bit. She still didn't understand how in the HELL her father had wormed his way into a teaching job at Kohei; the man was downright infamous as a former villain, and an all-around creep... but he was here, and Laila wasn't above using family connections to watch out for her nieces, cousins and half-siblings. “That's good!” Musashi nodded. It was always nice to see that the new students had a backbone – although he knew from experience just how weird Kohei could get. When Soon-Lee asked about his own Quirk, Musash grinned. “Sure have! When I started last year I was pretty pitiful at using my Quirk, truth be told... but now I'm in way better control, and learned a bunch of cool stuff.” Over by the main gate, a slightly out-of-breath young man with goggles on his head came running in. He paused to catch his breath, letting one hand touch his chest for a moment and glow with a golden shine – and a second later he was just fine. He scanned the grounds, and then spotted a small group that had formed – he recognized a couple of the faces instantly. One of them was one of his closest friends on earth, a charming and slightly crazy girl in a beret; and the other was the woman he loved more than anyone else. “Sarai! Rumi!” Connor called out, waving towards them. [Horikoshi City] [Association Building] Fareeha looked over the report and listened to Didymus, and she frowned. It was a mess, although not one that seemed like it would boil over into anything major – at least not yet. “Hmm... we have a field office in Rio de Janeiro. Kick it down there. They can dispatch a few agents to Peru to try to calm things down. Always best to involve locals, or at least relative locals. They'll know more about local customs and the culture, and have a much better chance at calming the situation.” She shrugged a bit. “Keep an eye on developments, though. You never know what small incident can spiral out into something bigger.” |

-Kohei Academy- Main Gate Elysia glared at Kasumi, not seeing to notice Lalia cleaning her up, or pretty much anything else it seemed. “Oh, I don't need my powers to handle her!” Elysia did shout, pointing a finger accusingly at Kasumi. “Of course I'm going here! My powers are a lot better then your's!” Kyran sighed. “I wouldn't worry too much, I haven't seen them go to blows and they've been enemies since as far back as I can remember...” Elysia and Kasumi really hated each other for some reason no one could actually remember. Thaddius clucked softly as he opened an eye again, looking towards Bianca and Kay once more with an inquisitive nature. “Those are both pretty cool powers,” Hammah said, “I wonder what kind of powers everyone else here has... or our teachers...” “Well the people he supposedly 'cloned' are suppose to be first years too...” Cess said to Shimera and Strobe. “Don't know who they are though, supposedly they're brothers...” He shrugged slightly. “Either way, should be an interesting year!” “Hey there Snake!” Maize said to Kagura with a grin, “Looking forward to this year! Got my youngest siblings starting this year too...” “Basically,” Edda said to Chloe, “But that's enough for now! Why don't we go look for the others? I'm pretty sure I heard Rumi around here, and Paul's gotta be around here...” -Horisoki City- Association Building “Well, I keep a look out for the new recruits here. Read your file, what you did. Almost surprised you didn't join the Academy yourself,” Peterson said, grinning slightly. “Going up against villains is not something everyone can do, need the right mental fortitude.” Hawkins' House “I hope so too...” Galv said with a sigh. “But we can't just keep Blake in the house all day... He's an adult, he can decide for himself...” He got up, kissing Melanie on the head. “Why don't you get some rest? I'll wake you up for lunch.” |

Horikoshi City Didymus listened to Fareeha, not sure if she was just giving advice, or giving orders, or who exactly he actually reported to at this post-or at least THIS part of his job. "Their email or contact info is easy enough to find on the local network, then? I can just send this their way, then..." he mused, eager-as much as he hated to admit it-to push this task off to another department. Of course, he thought, in his own defense, he already had a task here... Then Peterson spoke. CRAP. he thought. Crap crap crap. Someone knows. Play it cool, play it off, don't make a big deal of it, let it pass... "Oh...um...thanks..." he said. "...well, she wasn't really a villain per se...I mean, yeah, she was BEING villainous, but apart from that, I had no idea who she was...but I dunno. As for what it took, all it really took, perhaps, was a prayer and a combat knife...and, I guess, a desire to not just die like a coward...really nothing too out of reach for folks, I think...but I really really don't think I'd fit in at the Academy, thanks..." [Kohei Academy] Sarai's eyes widened as she heard a very familiar voice, a smile coming to her lips almost instantly as her boyfriend came rushing towards them. The boyfriend that only her friends could know about and none of her family lest they take back her new apartment and beat him with a rusty shovel till he was dead. Despite Connor being a quasi-secret she absolutely adored the young man, having been dating him (without her father and brothers' knowledge) since high school. Back them it was pretty much a hodgepodge of awkwardly holding hands, sneaking away to the movies and the occasional quick kiss- but now they were both adults AND at Kohei together- So it was pretty much going to be the same - but maybe more kisses. [...] Chloe noted Edda's expression but decided to give him a nod instead of pressing any further. "Aye aye captain!" [Horisoki City] Melanie looked up tiredly at Galv as he got up, kissing her on the head as he did so. Before he could get too far she grabbed his arm, pulling him down to kiss him once more. "I'm tired" she admitted quietly, speaking literally and figuratively. She typically didn't talk about the things she did when she was working for her mother, mostly because she didn't want to worry her husband but also because she didn't him to look at her differently...But she was tired. She wanted nothing else but to say out loud how terrible the things she did made her feel- but she didn't. Doing those terrible things kept her children and husband under Kanna's dubious protection. And no matter how terrible her mother was Melanie knew she would at least keep her word on this. [Flashback] "I was attacked last night" An aging yet still quite beautiful woman sat at a mahogany desk, drinking something from a glass as she watched her eldest daughter who was standing in front of her. The young woman looked like a near carbon copy of her mother, only about twenty years younger, with a few distinct cuts on her skin covered by bandages and a slightly protruding belly hidden by her coat. She stood there in front of her mother stiffly, though there was a slight waiver in her voice that made it obvious she was shaken. "And you fought back?" Kanna asked, brow raised. "I heard two men were found dead in an alley last night..." "Of course I did." Melanie replied "But that's beside the point. They knew I was your daughter. How did they know that?" Kanna shrugged, taking a drink. "I don't broadcast my family tree, perhaps because you look like me-" "What do I have to do to be rid of you!? Get a new face?!" Melanie exclaimed, dropping her coolness for a moment of pure frustration. "You're going to get my family killed. I have a husband and two children i'm already terrified to leave out of my sight. I need protection." Never one to miss an opportunity Kanna looked over. "Then work for me. Work for me and i'll guarentee you never have to look over your shoulder again." Melanie stared at her mother, disgusted. "You're seriously blackmailing me?" "Not blackmail. Offering you protection. If you choose not to accept it I won't hurt you, but i can't keep others for trying on their own accord." Edited by Crystal Rose, Apr 23 2018, 05:43 PM.

[Kohei Academy] [Main Gate] Bianca shrugged her shoulders. “I dunno, I haven't really met anyone but you guys . . . but some of the teachers are bound to have pretty cool powers! I've heard a lot of top-notch heroes become teachers here. Even All Might! How cool is that?” “Oh it's true alright; some of the greatest heroes around become teachers. Of course the quality of who they let teach has been slipping recently.” A young woman who looked to be in her late twenties started walking over, with her hands in her pockets. She had very long brown hair that fluttered in the wind behind her, and a green bandanna on her head – her piercing green eyes narrowed a bit, not at Bianca or Kay, but specifically at Jimi and Hammah. “. . . Yo, kiddos.” Super Kimi raised an eyebrow. “Ohhhh exciting!” Kagura grinned. “You'll have to introduce me to them sometime!” Connor came running over, finally catching up to the group and smiling. He immediately moved to Sarai's side and embraced her in a tight hug. It had been a little while since he had last been able to see her – with her parents around because of her starting at Kohei, it had been difficult to find time. “You look really nice, Sarai.” Connor smiled as he let go, and then he looked over to Rumi. “Hey Rumi! How's it going?” [Horikoshi City] [Association Building] “There should be a contact information page in the main file database, but I know IT has been a little slow to get things going.” Fareeha shook her head. “And truth be told, I don't do a lot of systems work. I'm actually the Vice-Commander of the Crisis Response team, so I only do the administrative work when Jack is in the field.” She shrugged a bit. Then listened in. “Facing down a villain is no small feat. It's something to be proud of. Though if you've done that, it's a pity you didn't apply for the CRT, we always need more people for the field.” Of course, Crisis Response also had arguably the most dangerous job in the Association. At the far end of the room, an elevator dinged, and a man stepped off. He wore a faded green trench coat and a scarf. His hair was gray, and he was walking with a slight limp. He had a cane under his arm, but wasn't actively using it at the moment. “Khara!” She swore, slipping into her native tongue for a moment. “What is Targus doing here? Look alive people, and look busy!” |

Kohei Academy Main Gate “I'm sure there's a ton of really cool Quirks! I can't wait to see all of them!” Kay then looked toward the person who had approached the little group she had found herself surrounded with. “Oh, hello!” she greeted. She then frowned a bit before taking on a look of realization. “Oh! You're Super Kimi!” – Strobe frowned, thinking. Cloning people was pretty impossible as far as she understood. Yet, there was a time when Quirks seemed impossible too. There was a time when even cars seemed impossible. As little as she liked Cess, he was really good at gathering dirt, and rarely was he inaccurate. “I'll keep an eye out, then,” she said, not looking at Cess. “Either way,” Shimera chimed, “I can feel it! I know this year is going to be really exciting!” “You think everything is exciting,” Strobe commented. Shimera raised her hands up. “Because it is!!” |

Kohei Academy Main Gates Damion simply sighed at Kagura's words. "Please don't imply that sort of thing, especially to her." Damion's words weren't going to stop Kagura, but he still had to try and defend himself. Though as Maize mentioned her siblings, he closes his eyes (which wasn't that hard to do with his level of tiredness anyways) for a moment, before interjecting. "Why don't we go find them now and introduce Kagura and I to them or something?" Damion may not have been a big fan of Maize's father, for just how many half-siblings for Maize he managed to make, but... he still was her family, and those half siblings were her family. And family wasn't something Damion had, or at least had any memory of, so he pushed for others who did have that, to embrace it a bit more. Meanwhile, Rumi waved hello to Connor as he approached the group. "I'm good! How are you guys, starting your first day here? Want a tour? Or just to lead you to the nearest private corner to leave you two alone for a little impromptu smoochy smoochy session, huuuuuh?" Rumi leaned forward towards the couple, with a gigantic smile on her face. =================== So this guy was a dodgey sort. Though that made sense, considering how he had jumped over... probably the gate wall to be able to land on her face to begin with... But also, he was speaking in puns. Now THAT was even more annoying. Rina's punch had missed its target, instead just impacting the ground, causing a bit of ice to grow out of the ground Rina punched. "Slow huh?" she then said, as wind started to blow around her other arm, almost like a mini-cyclone around it, before she turned towards Zhao and threw that left arm towards him with another punch. Except this one was sped up from the wind blowing around her, to push her much more quickly towards Zhao. Edited by Dark Phazon, Apr 23 2018, 08:59 PM.

[Kohei Academy] [Main Gate] When Rina's arm suddenly became engulfed by a cyclone and she sped towards him, Zhao tried to dodge out of the way again – but he hadn't expected the speed boost from Rina's new display of powers, and instead her fist collided with his nose, sending him falling backwards. He hit the ground with a loud thud, and just as quickly jumped back to his feet, clutching his nose with one hand. “Oh... YES!” Zhao grinned happily, as he moved his hand away to reveal his nose was bleeding. “Do you have any idea how long its been since somebody landed a hit on me? Since somebody made me bleed? Hahahahaha! Finally, a good fight! Ohhh I'm so glad you irrationally attacked me for no reason! This is gonna be SO MUCH FUN!” Zhao clenched his fists and there was a slight glow around his body of faint, barely visible blue energy. He looked like he was about to strike and then – in a split-second he was rushing towards Rina, but just as quickly he stopped and fell flat on his face – the glow that had been around him vanish, and the cyclone on Rina's arm vanished too. “Hey,” a course, grumpy voice called out. “Knock it off. No fighting at school!” ![]() A tall and disheveled looking man, with bloodshot eyes, was now staring at the pair. “Honestly... fighting already... if that's you're attitude, you may as well go home.” “Sure! I'm game for meeting your siblings now!” Kagura smiled, shooting a glance at Damion as if to confirm that she would never stop. Connor, meanwhile, felt his cheeks turn a bright pink and he quickly shook his head. “Maybe later, Rumi. Right now maybe just a tour of campus?” “I am, indeed!” Kimi grinned to Kay, happy to see someone recognized her. “World renown superhero, champion of people, and extremely humble – and now, a teacher here at Kohei!” |

[Kohei Academy] [Main Gate] Yes... This kid was very annoying. "YOU STOMPED ON MY FACE LIKE I WAS A GOOMBA IN MARIO LAND!" Rina screamed in response to Zhao's comment about 'irrationally attacking', also pointing at his foot-mark on her face, just to emphasize her point. And then the 'fun' ended, as the hero Eraser Head erased her powers, and told them all to knock it off. ...something that caused Rina to finally take a deep breath, and then collapse down to the ground with a gigantic sigh. "...not even TO the first period and already getting into hot water with the people running things. Way to go there, Rina..." ========================= "Awww... well then what does the missus think about that, then?" Rumi then turned her full attention and smile to Sarai, after Connor rejected the makeout session. |

[Kohei Academy] [Main Gate] Zhao blinked a few times, as he stared over at Rina. He tilted his head, and then frowned. “Ohhhhh, so THAT's why you have a shoe-print on your face... I just assumed that was some new form of fashion. I don't really follow that stuff, so I never know.” He shrugged his shoulders. “Sorry about that! I don't remember stomping on you, but I guess I did. Unless it was someone else? Are you sure it was me?” Aizawa just sighed, and he let his vision fall off. “Just don't get into fights. Technically the semester hasn't started yet, but if I catch either of you fighting again it'll be trouble.” Connor just sighed . . . and smiled. He knew Rumi; and he knew she was always like this. In truth, he loved it. She had been a big help to Sarai and Connor when they first started dating, and she was one of his best friends. |

Horikoshi City -Association Building- "Ah. Thank you." Didymus said, at Fareeha's directions concerning a contact list. Though he chuckled and shook his head at her comment about IT. "My own experience with IT in the places I've worked hasn't been that bad, but technical problems can always be difficult..." But as she went on, he simply shrugged, and looked almost...nervous? "Heh, thanks..." he said, thinking about the CRT. "...I...am flattered to hear you'd want me to try out for your ranks, but...I..." he paused, thinking of the best way to phrase it. "...simply took the job I was offered." he said, despite his thoughts that he was technically "field personnel" too, in what they'd recruited him for. When Targus arrived, Didymus was a bit surprised by Fareeha's reaction, but simply walked off, back to his station. He had been in an office environment before. He knew how to look busy, whether it be by working or by merely PRETENDING to work. But with a contact list to pursue and an email to send, he would be able to honestly say, at least for the next few minutes, that he was working, if asked... |
