[Nohr] [Streets] "Terribly sorry about your food...Please, take this..." Rue blinked, but accepted the money gratefully, smiling at the man sheepishly "Thank you and it's t-totally fine!" “It's a pleasure to meet you. I'm a simple traveling mage, but your sister is a good friend.” "I'm glad she hasn't done anything to scare you away quite yet" Rue said to Graham with a tiny grin, poking fun at her older sister's usually brash nature. She absolutely adored Caitlin, but knew that her sister was...Intense. They were complete opposites. Suddenly a voice. One which Rue instantly recognized. "L-Liam!" she exclaimed, pretty much launching herself at the teenage boy. While she didn't have many friends as a child due to their home being in the middle of nowhere she did have Liam, the son of her parents' best friends. They had practically grew up together, and her mother and his would always joke that Liam would probably end up marrying either she or Caitlin one day...Of course thinking of Liam with a girl like Caitlin made her both laugh and choke a little. "What are you doing here?!" she asked, stepping back, lest she look like some little kid in front of her sister and her friend (too late). [Inn] “I've been worried about you too... So have Elysia and Kyran. They're heading out on their own adventure pretty soon, last I heard.” "It's my job to worry about you guys, not the other way around" Joyce told her little brother with a smile, fighting the urge to ruffle his hair or something like a kid. "Truth is grandma wrote me a few weeks ago, wants me to come spend some time with her...She's in Hoshido last time I heard. She knows people with a lot of great technology and i'd love for the chance to write about it" Above everything Joyce was a writer. The woman loved nothing more than to document things for the future to learn from. Back at home she wrote books and books of notes about every topic under the sun, but some things weren't accessible to a young woman like her. That's where her grandmother came in- she had the kinds of connections Joyce could only dream about! |

I can't see what you're imagining

-Hoshido- Town “Eh, Hoshido is a nice place, not bad to be lost in!” Moniker said, “Where are you trying to go, maybe I could help?” Forlorn Road Celest paused, fairly certain Musashi was hiding something, but as he was hiding something himself, he wasn't going to comment on it. “I'm Celest Guillory, a sorcerer from... The Elgaia Federation,” Celest said, not wanting to advertise he was from Nohr, especially with how things had been going down their lately... and after the attack of the Faceless here. “I was... exploring the world,” Celest said simply. In truth... they were looking for a cure to their curse. But that wasn't something he was going to share with someone they just met. He paused, hearing... music, turning his head towards the trees off the road. “...Do you hear music?” he asked Musashi. -Nohr- Tavern Aiden stayed quiet now, listening. She wanted to make sure she did well, and to prove herself... Streets Liam paused, smiling as Rue hugged him, hugging the girl back and smiling brightly. “Hey Rue! I didn't think you'd be here!” He laughed slightly, then looked towards Caitlin as well, along with Graham. “Well... Dad gave me his sword, and said I was old enough to walk the world and get my own stories and adventures done,” Liam said to Caitlin, tapping the plain looking sword in it's scabbard on his belt. Made from cold iron, only a handful of people in the world could use it, Liam and his father being a couple of them. “I thought I'd come through the area and maybe say hello to Rue as well on my trip, didn't expect to see her here though!” Inn “Great technology? Do you think she invited Kyran too?” Blake asked. Kyran took after their father, always liking to tinker with things and build stuff whenever possible. -Galdwin- Capitol “Yes, thank you King Richard, we appreciate your hospitality,” Gallic said, giving a small bow to the king, as they were lead into the dining area, taking a seat. “Aurelia does well, better it has been. It is still the work of a lifetime to undo the damages of previous kings,” Gallic said, “But we have become stronger. It is partially that I come here.” He was quiet for a moment, then continued, “I don't do well with beating around the bush. I will be frank. The Black March is coming, soon. I have heard reports within my kingdom that bolster this claim, which I will share with you. My assumption is that you and other kingdoms are seeing the signs. In the past, Aurelia has tended to stay separate, and I know from before I claimed the crown, other nations were talking about handling the corruption spreading in the kingdom. But now while we are not paragons, we are striving to the light. “I have come, personally, King Richard, to say Aurelia wishes to be present in any meeting of nations. That we wish to share our burden in defeating the Black March as well, even if it means sending troops beyond our own borders, with the graces of the other kingdoms, of course.” |

[Nohr] [Streets] Caitlin could only roll her eyes at Rue's reaction to Liam. They had known the boy their entire lives, and he was the best friend the two had ever had – although due in part to the vast difference in the sister's personalities, Rue had always gotten along a bit better with Liam. Caitlin still adored the boy, although she wasn't always the nicest about it. Graham meanwhile just stood and watched, rather amused. In the time since he met Cate, he hadn't known her family and friends – and now that was changing. “Wait, Edda gave you his sword?” Caitlin was shocked as she rushed over to Liam's side. “That's incredible! I didn't know you could use a sword! Ohhh, Graham, you should duel him!” “I'm not dueling him.” Graham frowned instantly. “Aww come on! It'd be awesome!” Caitlin badgered. [Hoshido] [Forlorn Road] Musashi nodded to Celest. It was obvious he was a gifted mage, and in truth Musashi was slightly relieved that this fellow wasn't from Nohr. A Nohrian might recognize him, and that could be trouble he didn't need to deal with. He opened his mouth to speak, when Celest asked about the music. Musashi paused, and then frowned. “I do... Hey! Somebody around?” |

[Nohr] Streets "Wait, Edda gave you his sword? That's incredible! I didn't know you could use a sword! Ohhh, Graham, you should duel him!” Instantly Rue's eyes widened, her mother's worry quickly resonating in her. "W-What?!" Someone will get hurt Caitlin!" she exclaimed, momentarily forgetting her very handly healing powers. Though she was still pretty amazed that Liam now had a sword of his own, and one that belonged to his father to boot! She couldn't help to be curious to see it in action. Inn Joyce paused, frowning. Their grandmother was strange....She couldn't tell half the time how she felt about she and her siblings, sometimes it was passive uncaring, sometimes disdain and sometimes interest. The fact that Kanna had reached out probably meant she needed Joyce for something rather than her wanting to bond. Now Joyce was hoping she HADN'T reached out to their litter sisters. "I dunno..." she said. "She didn't mention them." she answered truthfully, running a hand through her messy hair. "It's probably for the best, Kanna isn't the best role model" NO KIDDING. |

Hoshido -Town- “I was hoping to get to Nohr,” Shimera responded. She turned her head about, taking in the scenery. “But you're not wrong, this place looks nice too! I might stay here for a bit.” Nohr -Streets- Long, purple hair kept in a ponytail waved behind a woman walking the streets. Strobe, a native to the Elgaia Federation, had enough of the same scenery and dumb people. She decided to travel around and see new things and Nohr ended up being her first stop. She pulled a note out of her pocket. It was from her dad, who gave it to her to read while she was on the carriage. It wasn't drawn-out or poetic; just a simple parent's note telling her to be safe and that he loved her, and that this moving about would be good for her. She smiled as she put the note back. In not looking, she had bumped into a drunk who was stumbling about. “Soooorrrryyy,” Roarar groaned, stepping forward without even looking at the woman they had walked into. Strobe was going to shout a good, loud curse word before she remembered that she had done the exact same thing about a week ago. She shook her head and turned away...then made a double-take. “...Huh,” she commented. The drunkard had actual wings and no one else around seemed to care. “Must be local,” she mumbled. |

-Nohr- Streets “I'd be up for a spar but if he doesn't want to, I wouldn't want to force it,” Liam said, being reasonable, something he probably didn't get from his mother. “And I know how to use a lot of weapons. This sword is just special.” Inn Blake nodded slightly, his expression not changing. “Maybe I should come with you... haven't seen our grandmother in a while...” Sage paused, then nodded. “I wouldn't mind having you along.” -Hoshido- Forlorn Road Celest looked towards the trees, trying to spot whoever was making that music, preparing a couple defensive spells, just in case. There wasn't any law against playing weird music at the side of the road, but considering what they had just been through... “Who's there?” Celest also called out, echoing Musashi. Town Moniker frowned a little, shaking her head. “Nohr? Don't want to go to Nohr right now. Some weird stuff has been happening there, from what I heard. Why you wanna go there anyways?” |

[Hoshido] [Forlorn Road] The figure continued playing the melody. He heard the calls from the road, could see that his music has attracted attention, but he didn't particularly care to be the one to reveal himself, and the music called for him. He could feel the gentle breeze playing against him as his tune flowed, mixing with the breeze. He was glad that he could provide such amusement to the winds. And so, he continued to play, paying little mind to the sudden audience he was gathering... |

Nohr [Streets] The cloaked figure was a bit relieved to see Rue's reaction, and smiled back at her beneath his hood. "Of course. It seemed, perhaps, the least I could do, for costing you your meal." he said, and turned, trying to move down the street quickly as possible. Which wasn't easy in what he was clad in beneath his cloak, and his pace was slower and more labored than he would have liked at the time. Still, he made his was, quick as he could, to a tavern, unsure if he had gained any pursuers, trying to discreetly look around for some, before eventually stepping in. [Tavern] Didymus was confused as Cid spoke of Cecil, a former Dark Knight. "...he used to serve as a Dark Knight? Odd..." he said. He was unsure about this bit of news, and did not know who Cecil was and what he had gone through. He was wary about looking to such places for help on a sensitive mission like this...on the other hand, he HAD heard some rather intriguing things about him. Like he was a fairly recent recruit into the Order, apparently due to some...well, he didn't know the full story, but he had heard that the Elders had met with Cecil and confirmed him into the Order, albeit it may have been a rather unusual case, and his position itself may have been an unusual one. Of course, any Paladin in the Nohr chapter now stood in an unusual position, as Nohr had recently told them to get out... He nodded as Cid explained the sensitive nature of their mission, and their reasons for keeping concealed. Stealth was not his forte...but there was a difference between being undetected, and blending in. Thus far they appeared to have avoided detection. He looked to Aiden, unsure if it was right to have her along with them, family nearby or no. But here she was, there was little use in reflecting on the merits of her presence now. "Well, I suppose we've naught but to wait and pray for now, until he shows up, then?" he asked. He was quiet for a moment, when the door opened, and in stepped Cecil from the streets. "Good day, brothers and sister." he said. "Would that we met under happier circumstances..." though he paused, thinking that they may not be meeting at all, and he may not have stood where he was, had there simply been "happier circumstances". Galdwin: Capitol Richard watched his guests be seated, and then motioned to his attendants to bring on some refreshments for them-some wine, fruit, sweeter baked goods were laid on the tables before them. He himself remained seated, viewing the audience chamber from his own position and listening to Gallic's words, many things working their way through his mind as he spoke. "...yes, I have heard of these reports, and these signs..." he said. "...while there is debate about if what we've seen thus far truly means a march, Galdwin will not turn a blind eye toward it and shall aid in turning it back as always...we would of course be happy, as would others, to see Aurelia aid in efforts against it, surely, but I am unsure what precisely you are requesting. Do you request passage of troops through our lands, or something else? Your delegates are always welcome at a meeting of nations, if we've anything to say of it, though others may be less welcoming, that is not my place to say..." |

[Hosido] [Forlorn Road] Musashi frowned, and then sat down in the middle of the road, crossing his legs and leaning down with his hand on the hilt of his blade. “Well someone is nearby, but I wouldn't worry too much. If it's someone dangerous, they're obviously too cowardly to come out..." [Nohr] [Streets] “Nobody'll get hurt! And if they do, you can just fix them up like dad does.” Caitlin crossed her arms, glancing over at her sister before returning her attention to the boys. “Come on! Liam even said yes, just a quick duel I want to see if Liam can actually swing a sword!” Graham gave a sigh, having known Caitlin long enough to know she wasn't about to back down. He slowly raised his hand in front of his blue eye, and when he lowered it his eye had vanished, and there was a glimmering blue glow in his closed hand. “Liam, my apologies... but if you're up for a bit of sparring, perhaps we'd better to satisfy Cate.” “Hey! Don't make it sound like a chore!” Caitlin crossed her arms. Graham gave a slight bow, and then he cupped his hands together – and as he drew one away, the blue light slowly transformed into the shape of a long rapier . [Tavern] Cid nodded, but he did not elaborate on Cecil's past. He was one of the Elders, and knew the details – but he did not feel it his place to spill them all to Didymus and Aiden. He had said enough, and he knew the decisions the other Elders made would be good enough. Soon enough, Cecil had arrived. Cid stood and greeted him with a nod of his head, inviting Cecil to join them at the table. “Greetings, Cecil. These are Didymus and Aiden.” Cid motioned to them. “Thank you for coming on such short notice. Today proves to be an interesting affair, and time is short.” |

-Hoshido- Forlorn Road Celest paused, looking over towards Musashi, then back towards the forest. He took a step back, finding a dry piece of ground to sit on for now then. “Well... I could use some rest anyways,” Celest said, taking a breather. -Nohr- Tavern “Hello,” Aiden said, smiling slightly and nodding towards Cecil as he came in, then went quiet to listen to what they needed to hear. She kept glancing towards Didymus as well. Streets Liam smiled slightly, then nodded. “Okay then. There's some flat area not that far from here we can fight in.” Liam would lead the group slightly out of the town, to a flat area where sparring could happen. He put his pack down at his side, but kept his sword at his side. He stretched, then nodded to Graham from his position, placing a hand on the hilt of his sword. “Since this is a spar, do mind if I wait until I draw my sword?” -Galdwin- Capitol “I wish to make it clear to you that Aurelia will not shy away from the defense of the lands this coming March,” Gallic said. “I wanted to come myself in order to put it in no uncertain terms.” Gallic leaned forward slightly, looking towards Richard. “My country has a history of darkness and betrayal. I am working to change that. Simply sending delegates I fear will not do that. Which is why I have come personally, to give you my word of honor, that Aurelia is changing, and we will be here to stop the encroaching darkness.” |

Nohr [Tavern] "Good evening...Brother Cecil...?" Didymus said, a bit uncertain about this whole situation. "Yes, Brother Didymus." he replied. "I...shall be your guide this evening." he chuckled nervously, wary about what was going to unfold now, despite earnestly believing that it was the right thing to do. "And hello." he replied to Aiden, unsure what title of any to attatch to her. She looked like a "miss", but he didn't know. He tried to match her own smile a bit with one of his own, but it quickly fell. "I know enough about the castle's layout, and customs of the guard, to get us in, and out, though if I am recognized, there are those who may ask where I've been..." he said. "...in any case, follow my lead and we should get in without incident. In the event of such an incident...I may be able to rally support with some of my own friends, or, failing that...at least distract them." He breathed deeply, as a sense of resolve seemed to settle over him. "But she must be evacuated safely. The alternatives are...frightening." Didymus nodded. "Well, obviously, we should pray before we head out...and otherwise, I take it we have some time to wait?" He didn't know if the plan was to wait till nightfall, or if that was a requirement-Cid had mentioned that tonight they'd be working as a wagon crew-or if they'd be able to push forward now. Either way, he quietly prayed and did his best to steel himself for whatever could be inside where their objective was-Nohr was always involved with dabbling in magic, and the tales coming out of it recently said that things had gotten...worse. But this wasn't his first task or mission. He noticed, every so often, that Aiden seemed to keep glancing toward him. "...I'm sorry, Aiden, is something the matter?" Galdwin [Capitol] Richard was a surprised by this, not expecting such a claim from Gallic, certainly not such a move. The possibility the he was being truthful was in his mind-so too was the possibility that he was here for some other reason, either that he did not wish to speak of, or that he wanted to be coaxed out of him. Well, in any case, he could still be a good host, as the refreshments were laid before his guests, he spoke again. "Well, more bodies to fight the March are always welcome, though it stands not alone as the only thing that ever threatens the lands." he began. "But is that truly all you traveled all this way for? In either case, please sample our refreshments, and rest yourselves before leaving." He was tempted to tell them that if that was all that they had come to say, they could consider the message delivered and be on their way-the idea of having someone he suspected had secret motives-possibly spy-related-around did not sit well with him. The words of warning from his wife, and from the Paladin Elder standing beside him, echoed in his mind. But maybe there was truly noting to be concerned about here, for the time being. Either way, he would, again, not have it be said that the Lionheart was a poor host. "I respect personally coming to look me in the eye and deliver that message, and you may consider it received." he added. |

-Nohr- Streets Rue knew she had a job to do and knew her father would be disappointed if he knew she hadn't made it to the hospital yet, but she really hadn't been expected to see both her sister AND best friend here....And now Liam was going to spar....Spar with a guy that called her sister Cait. it was practically a pet name 9though if she said that out loud Caitlin would murder her)! Perhaps she could just watch the beginning. The girl followed the group a bit out of town, taking a seat in the soft grass to watch from a spot out of the way. At least she could heal injuries if she stuck around- that was a pretty good justification...Right? Inn “Maybe I should come with you... haven't seen our grandmother in a while...” “I wouldn't mind having you along.” Joyce paused. She should have said it was too dangerous, after all Kanna wasn't the best role model...That last time she saw her Joyce was only thirteen- and then it was only for a day or so.....She should have said no. But- "I actually would like that...Both of you..." Joyce admitted. "It's kinda far though..Have either of you been to Hoshido?" |

[Hoshido] [Forlorn Road] Musashi sat patiently for a moment, and as he did he slowly ran his finger over the green ring he wore on his right hand. He let his finger linger for a moment, and then suddenly he jumped back to his feet and glanced around the trees, and then darted off in the direction of the music. “Heeeey! Come on! I can hear you! Come on out!” [Nohr] [Tavern] Cid nodded, and then he fell silent for several moments as he considered the situation. It was a dangerous task – and the fallout even from a successful mission could still be devastating... but there was no time to second guess things. Especially not with what may be at play. He stood. “It is probably better to get moving as quickly as we can. I would like to be out of Nohr by nightfall. Steel yourselves, God willing our task will be simple and we'll avoid any of the messier possibilities.” [Clearing] Caitlin eagerly followed. She could notice her sister's apprehension, but paid it no mind. Rue took too much after their parents and worried over things – Caitlin preferred to just not worry about anything. “Okay Liam! Show off what you can do!” Caitlin yelled out, and then looked at Graham. “And don't you dare go easy on him!” Graham shook his head, and glanced at Liam. “You can do as you wish, I only ask we abide by two rules. No attacks that could leave lasting damage or cause a fatality, and the only magic used will be what I already did to create my blade. A good spar should be a test of sword skill, and not blasting spells.” Graham had no idea if Liam was even capable of using magic, but he highly suspected that if he used his own spells, the spar would be unfair. |

[Hoshido] [Forlorn Road] The figure never stopped playing the flute, and lost himself in the music as he played, letting the breeze accompany his melody as the bamboo flute sand a wispy, flighty, ever-changing tune, much like the breeze itself. And as he played, he turned his attention away from the strange travelers that were suddenly alerted by his music, looking about carefully and behaving with surprising caution. Good. So they were not the kinds to be easily lured away by a mischievous spirit of the forest. Or perhaps some other tricky being that wished to play whatever game it planned. The flute player didn't particularly care though. The fact that they stopped to listen for even a moment to his melody made him happy. He relaxed, continuing the tune as it carried in the wind. And that was how Musashi found him, a figure laying lengthwise along a thick lower branch of a red cedar tree, back propped against the base of the branch where it connected with the tree trunk. |

-Nohr- Tavern Aiden blushed slightly as it seemed that Didymus had noticed her looking towards him. “Oh! N-nothing! Just... ummm... making sure you weren't tired, Didymus... You were carrying a lot more then me...” Aiden said. Clearing Liam nodded towards Graham. “Easy to agree to. Can't do magic myself. But... If something happens to your sword, you can cast that spell again to bring it back, okay?” He stepped away from Graham now, looking towards Caitlin and Rue. “Caitlin, can you give us a countdown from three to start us off?” Inn Sage nodded. “Once, when I was little. My... dad brought me there once.” Sage was not fond of his father, for obvious reasons. “Actually, yes, once myself,” Blake said, “When I looked around the world for answers about the shadows...” -Galdwin- Capitol Gallic smiled towards Richard. “And of course, while we're here, I would like the chance to discuss a few trade deals and other boring though practical matters of state, but that can wait until after dinner.” -Hoshido- Forlorn Road “Nice music,” Celest said to himself as Musashi called out to the mysterious music player again, searching for the figure as well. |
