[Kanna's Apartment] When the group was ready Kanna led them out to another coach, an even nicer one than before. The ride wouldn't be long, but Kanna knew she needed the time to speak to Joyce and Blake (and the others she supposed...). "Once we arrive be professional. This is a very important party. A lot of my contacts will be in attendance." She looked to Joyce for a moment. "I may pull you away from your friend to introduce you to a few of them" Joyce nodded, straightening up a bit in her seat. "Uh sure..." She then looked to Sage. "I trust you know how to act at such events. I mean based on what I know of your father" From her spot Samara stared out the window, her hand clutching Blake's tightly. "How do you act professional?" she whispered. [Thicket] Rue would never admit it but like Caitlin, she thought Liam's idea was crazy- but she gave a short nod. She knew Liam wouldn't steer them wrong- she trusted him. So she followed them out of the thicket, her clothes and skin catching on various branches the entire way. She really couldn't help but to be on edge, looking around for any sight of the insane woman from before, but she continued on until a clearing, and the inn from before, could be seen... "Looks like you were right" Rue said breathlessly. [Bakery] Where were these bandit attacks at?” The women who were talking turned to Edda, both frowning a bit. One of them eventually spoke up. "About 20 miles out, apparently it was a coach transporting some young people into the countryside. The drivers body was found, as well as many of the bandits, but none of the others- probably taken by the remaining bandits. One of them apparently was a doctor or something, an old medical journal was found in the coach" Willow stayed quiet. |

[Hoshido] [Castle Shirasagi] Hiko stepped out of the bubble of water and condensed magical energy into the bright light of the sun, and the glimmer of many swords. A blink of befuddlement was the only thing he could manage before another presence simply materialized next to him without warning, startling him enough that his smile twitched uncontrollably as a shinobi, a rogue of the night and dark, appeared well within his reach. The swordsman knew that it was a warning... And knew that if he was attacked by the ninja as he was stepping out of the Dragon's Vein, he would have been hard-pressed to remain unharmed. It took him a moment to regain focus and his usual calm smile, and Musashi settled the raised hackles of the soldiers and sudden hostiles around them, letting Hiko regain his bearings without adding problems. The traveling swordsman watched as the samurai quietly dispersed and the ninja vanished from sight, making his way over trees and low roofs to once more gain a point of vantage, a typical shinobi strategem and the reason they could disappear out of sight so quickly. It was hard to trick a fox with its own favorites, after all. Hiko let loose a small sigh, almost sounding disappointed as he spoke. "A most... Friendly and exuberant... Greeting we are receiving, Musashi-san. I was not aware that the imperial capital and the imperial family are so ready to draw swords in threat these days." |

Nohr -Dali- This was an unsettling development, the words of this child, Didymus thought. This seemed odd, and worth investigating, on the one hand...on the other, if they were to somehow disrupt whatever was occurring, the Nohrian court may well be MORE inclined to bring their wrath down on this town...still, he DID feel like pressing for more information...perhaps the nice approach would be best. "...are you sure?" he asked. "I don't suppose you could tell us what they're up to, or if it's dangerous, or even...unwilling? We certainly don't wish to press or stress you, but you can tell us if perhaps the adults of the villiage could use some help or healing-don't worry, we aren't spies for the court." he tried to smile, slightly. "Otherwise, we thank you kindly for your directions, and perhaps we'd best be off in search of the chocobo farm..." he said, waiting for a moment to see if this girl would say anything, and if not, he would try to usher the group out/make for the door. Galdwin -Capitol- Richard strode down the hallway, his wife at his side and his son following along. "Father, why?" Richard II asked. "Why what, son?" "Why did you tolerate our guest?" "Should I not have? Did he not come in peace?" "Did he, father? You know what he is-who he is, what mindset they viewed us in. You SAW the look, I KNOW YOU DID." "Perhaps, son, I figured that YOU were saying enough." "Perhaps I only did so because YOU seemed unwilling to defend our honor!" "Our honor involves being welcoming and hospitable to those who have not brazenly insulted us, or taken action against us." "Perhaps, father, but...you could tell, couldn't you? Gallic regards us as superstitious fools, to be consumed and subjugated! The way he looked at you and the way he looked as his meal were NO DIFFERENT!" Richard II strode in front of his father. "Don't they call you "the Lionhearted"? Why do you play these games, why did you not ROAR?" "SILENCE!" Richard bellowed, suddenly, causing his son to recoil a bit, as his wife even was startled by the sudden outburst. "...you wished for a roar, my son? Speak to me without respect like that and you shall have it." He paused, and his expression, which had hardened in reprimand, softened again. "My son...yes, they call me "the Lionhearted", for good or ill. But even so, the lion is not always roaring. Sometimes it is stalking, hiding, quietly taking stock of its adversary while allowing them to regard it as they will. Only when it must, when the time of action is upon it, does it roar and pounce. And if indeed our guest is one such adversary...then he shall, whatever happens, know the Lionheart's roar...and his bite." Richard II hung his head, but nodded. "Yes...forgive me, father. I spoke without proper respect." His father reached out for him, taking him under the arm opposite the one holding his wife. "My son...and even if they do regard us as superstitious fanatics, unreasonable and easily duped...trust me. This is, sadly, not an uncommon view of our people outside our borders." He sighed. "But that is not our affair. Ours is to hone our strength, keep the faith, and keep our honor. Build our intellect-as we have done with our technological advances and delving into the Scriptures. Keep our faith-as we have, by the Lord's grace, done, I should hope, and keep our honor. It isn't on us, my son, to necessairly change their minds about our people when they look at us with contempt or suspicions of blind malice and stupidity-it's on us merely to prove them wrong." He paused. "Let us pray, my family, that our guest is sincere in his attempts at friendship. And let us pray for continued favor if he is not. But whatever his intent, my son, do not let your pride or even your suspicion overcome your honor. If you are to one day take my place, my boy...you must know that honor, piety, and sometimes-grim resolve. Those, my son, and God's grace-those are the things by which Galdwin endures. I know it was love of these things and our people that you spoke with-but you must also learn subtly and restraint, my son..." The Holy Land Outside the borders of Galdwin, Nohr, Aurelia, and many other of the continent's major powers was what was renowned by believers of the Christian Church as the "Holy Land"-the lands the Savior Himself walked (or at any rate was said to have walked) and performed His ministry. These lands had for decades been under the direct administration of the Church and the elite Chapter of the Paladin Order-the Knights of the Temple, or "Templars". The head Paladin in the Order himself presided over this chapter, and, more indirectly the entire Order, from this region-but at this moment, he was not at their base in the city itself... ...Elder Godfrey rode at the head of a contingent of similiary-mounted, similarly-armed, and similarly-dressed men. A contingent of Templars. The moon was bright tonight, all the better to reduce the heat of the journey-it was fertile enough in areas around the city, he thought, but this particular location was more desert-ish...hopefully the would not have to linger long. They all could feel it. Something unholy and massive ahead of them... He nodded to the men on his right and left; his lieutenants, who themselves broke off and each led a portion of the contingent away, splitting it into 3 parts...they prepared to crest the final hillside... |

[Hoshido] [Castle Shirasagi] “With the Nohrian's amassing their armies, expanding their bases along the border and sending their mages into our lands to cause trouble? We do not hesitate to draw our blades.” A man had emerged from the castle doorway, a warrior of Hoshido clad in silken blue with bristling furs at his belt, and long hair tied back. He carried a bow that was missing its string; vibrant and white, with gleaming golden notches on either end. ![]() The man paused, looking first at Hiko, and then his eyes moved to Tamamo. He stopped and stared at Celeste for a long moment, glaring rather harshly at her – before finally his eyes moved to Musashi. “... I see you've come back empty-handed. Not that I'm surprised.” “Stuff it up your @ss, Takumi.” Musashi rolled his eyes, crossing his arms. “There's serious trouble afoot. My friends here and I witnessed some dangerous magical stuff happening at one of the shrines... bodies of the dead reanimated, some kind of demonic spirit... they might be able to explain in more detail, but the point is we need to see Ryoma.” Takumi's icy glare didn't budge. “... Friends, huh? What about that one?” He pointed at Celeste. “... A foreigner... she could be a Nohrian spy!” A twitch of annoyance flashed over Musashi's face. “She's not! Now get out of my way, we need to see Ryoma!” [Nohr] [Thicket] Caitlin gave a sigh of relief. It seemed like Liam's crazy plan had actually worked – she grinned and punched him in the arm. “Good job! You know, you're actually starting to impress me.” Whereas Rue was shaken and looked on edge, Caitlin seemed far more relaxed. She was more used to roughing it outside, and dealing with crazy people... but Graham was by far the tensest of them all. He did not know who Jade was, but he feared she knew about the power in his eye... “We shouldn't delay.” Graham urged the others. [Dali] “I... I really shouldn't say anything.” The young woman refused to speak, and Garnet frowned deeply. Something was very wrong in this village and she did not know what. “We should go.” Garnet urged Didymus. She wanted to help, but she knew if this village had a stronger connection to the Castle than she believed, then they had to flee. She had to save her parents and her nation, and she couldn't do that if she was captured again. |

-Ylisse- Clearing The shadow creatures kept coming, their numbers seeming to multiply as the Ylissian forces went through them... Suddenly they stopped, those still standing moving back, but still visible. “Ha... hahaha... so this is what the heroes of today are like?” a cold voice called out. Suddenly a giant dark shape rose into the air, peering down at the group of knights. “I am... AKU,” the shapeshifting master of darkness declared. “And you will fall to me!” -Hoshido- Castle Shirasagi Celeste froze as the ninja appeared, eying the kunai with worry. Thankfully Celeste explained things, and she stepped a little closer towards Musashi for safety. “That was an... interesting reception,” she muttered softly. Then Takumi appeared, and Celeste looked even more worried. “I'm... a student from the magic college in El Gaia,” Celeste said. That was technically true, she had gone there to train her magic... -Nohr- Inn “Okay... I'll be right back, I'll grab our stuff,” Liam said. He moved forward, climbing up the inn carefully from the outside, opening a window where his and Graham's room was and scurried inside... Kanna's Nicer Coach “I do,” Sage said, though frowned a little. What was Kanna planning though? If this was his father... well, he wouldn't have agreed to any of this. He decided he'd just have to keep an eye on Joyce... Which wouldn't be hard, he was having a hard time not looking at her... Blake paused at Samara's question, thinking. “Ummm... be nice to people, don't make a mess, I guess?” Bakery Edda frowned. A doctor... Connor lived near here, but... No way some bandits would have gotten Connor. Connor wasn't a fighter like Edda was, but Edda was confident in his friend's skills. “Thank you,” Edda said to the women, “My family and I were heading in that direction.” He turned to Willow, motioning for them to leave now once he paid and they got their baked goods. Dali Zadkiel was quiet, looking worried. “...Yes, perhaps we should see the chocobo,” he said. He had a worried look on his face. Aiden nodded, heading outside with the others then. |

Nohr Inn Rue couldn't help but to watch as Liam rushed forward, scaling the building like it was nothing. For some reason she found her cheeks heating up once again so she forced herself to look down and busy herself with healing a few of the superficial cuts on her arms. Eventually, when she ran out of wounds to heal, she looked back up, catching Graham's eye. "Are you alright?" she asked softly, sensing his tension. [...] Inside the inn there seemed to be no people, at least none that were living. The bodies of some of the guest lied in the hall and a few of the rooms- it looked as if Jade really wanted Graham. No one else was even worth keeping alive.... when Liam made it back to his room he would discover that it had been torn apart by Jade's men, in effort to find a clue of where they were going.... Kanna's Nicer Coach Joyce gave Sage a small smile as he answered, feeling confident that he would do fine at such an event...Herself on the other hand, maybe not so much. Her parents both lived relatively simple lives- at least in comparison to her grandparents. And while she had been to parties before, she always just sorta winged it. She doubted her grandmother would approve of such a method tonight. With a small sigh Joyce stared out the window, hand on her chin. Meanwhile Samara was quiet for a moment and then nodded. She made a mental note to be as nice as she could....Though that all depended on the others at this party. Bakery Willow followed her father out of the bakery, sweets in hand and a troubled expression on her face. She knew about bandits, but had never seen any in person fortunately. "Why would some bandits want to attack a bunch of teens?" she asked as she moved a bit closer to her father. "I mean I doubt they had much to steal...." |

Nohr -Dali- It seemed that this place would be of no further help on their quest, nor for learning if these people really needed help, Didymus thought,-but they had gotten directions to the chocobo farm, at least, so he nodded. As a Paladin especially, he didn't want to just LEAVE these people in a bad situation if he could help it, but maybe it wasn't THAT bad, and even if it was, they also had to keep the fact that they were supposed to be helping Garnet escape, as well, perhaps... "Alright..." he said, both to Zadkiel, and to Garnet, who seemed to be talking to him specifically. "...thank you for your help." he said to the girl at the counter. "Have a nice evening." He stepped outside, looking off in the direction the girl said the chocobo farm was in. "Well, I suppose we check out the farm next..." he said, still looking about, staying near Garnet, but attempting to start heading in the farm's direction. The faster they moved, at any rate without drawing attention, the better, perhaps... |

[Hoshido] [Shirasagi Castle] Hiko calmly smiled at the man that had appeared before them, carefully observing the man with the string-less bow. What caught his eye the most about the weapon itself was the fact that it bore no chafed markings of a string at all, and as such was never strung. And yet, it bore the curve of a bow, and as such, it was quite definitively a weapon of range. It was a simple, but effective misdirection. And the man's posture also screamed something of minor misdirection. The furs, suggesting that he may be cold in this weather. The unstrung bow. The demeanor. In all ways, Hiko knew that the man before him was definitely no simpleton. He cocked his head, his smile a disarming and pleasant expression, his face relaxed and completely at ease, despite the fact that he was facing people that were more than likely hostile towards him. It was situations like these that revealed exactly how truly in control Hiko really was, both in control of himself, and the situation that he fell into. He did not tense up at all, in fact his hand never strayed from where is hung on his side, nowhere near the three handles of the blades tucked into the obi of his outfit. "... I would not call the hand of Musashi-san empty upon such a return, Takumi-san. While I know not of what it is that you wished for him to return, or what he perhaps decided to return with, within those very hands is information, quite a valuable commodity. And I can assure you, it is no small thing. And it involves someone you may have been looking for... Does the name Sahashi Jinnai ring any bell, perhaps? And if so perhaps this information might just be important enough to gloss over the impossibility of a Nohr spy walking into the very heart of Hoshido and under the watchful eye of the Sky-Piercing Mountain without repercussion?" It was a very calculated sentence, both a tease of important information, a tease of its importance by using a name that the previous emperor would have tried to find, a defense of someone who had been looked down upon, while simultaneously chiding the man for being far too paranoid and not thinking clearly. It was indeed very improbable that Celeste was a Nohrian spy, simply because the gender-changing man had walked under the full scrutiny and watchful eyes of everyone around him, and would be watched for any and all sudden problems, and most likely blamed for any of them. No. Celeste wasn't a spy. But Hiko figured that despite that, there was already one here, a spy in the midst of the Palace. And he was so sure of it, he'd wager his Star Ball on the fact, if he actually had the darn thing... Edited by HellAvatar, Dec 1 2017, 05:04 PM.

[Ylisse] [Clearing] When the massive dark shadow rose out of the ground, peering down at them as it formed into a creature of unimaginable horror, Artoria froze. She stared up at this thing and she knew in that moment that it was beyond the simple dangers of this world. It was something far worse. Merlin knew it too. He immediately tensed, and grew far more serious than he ever did. He twirled his staff in his hand, and his free hand suddenly began to glow with an intricate symbol burning brightly. Artoria stepped forward, still holding her hands as if she was holding a sword – although one was not visible. “I am Artoria, King of Ylisse. You will leave these lands alone, or you will die.” She called out calmly, yet firmly. [Hoshido] [Castle Shirasagi] Takumi eyed Celeste warily. The struggles with Nohr and the unique danger that their mages represented had developed in the young prince an intense and seething hatred of their westward neighbor, and those who studied their magical arts. He viewed them as the greatest threat to Hoshido – and he could not abide a threat to his lands. He knew of El Gaia, but his suspicious did not ease. They were not an enemy of Hoshido – but they weren't an ally either – and so he did not trust their people. He may have spoken to Celeste, but Hiko spoke, and there was so much scattered in his statement that it became the sole focus of Takumi's interest – as well as Musashi's, and Tamamo's. Musashi was stunned to learn that his new friend implied to know so much about Hoshido, and specifically it's capital and castle. Takumi was incredibly suspicious that this stranger was dropping such statements, as well as making him look foolish – and Tamamo watched in worry, wondering just how much Hiko may have known about the castle's spirits. She frowned very deeply. She wondered if the spirits that protect this castle were watching them now... and if they would recognize her... she had been allowed this far, so certainly they either had forgotten her, or forgiven her? “How do you know any of that?” Takumi demanded, taking a step towards Hiko – but Musashi moved between them. “Takumi! Enough! I fought beside these three, I bled for them, and they for me. They are no more your enemy than I am. Now just let us go see Ryoma.” Takumi eyed Musashi with rage, and then... he sighed, and dropped his shoulders. “... You would trust them with your life? Outsiders? A foreigner?” “I already have trusted them with my life.” Musashi scowled. “... and they did save me. You know me, always the fool, I would have died were it not for them – Celeste in particular.” He moved back, and threw his arm around Celeste's shoulder. “So let us in already! Or I'm going to tell Hinoka you're trying to send me away, and then you'll have to deal with her!” With a final loud groan, Takumi shook his head. “... You could at least take things seriously in front of strangers... but fine. You can go in... but you!” His eyes locked with Celeste's. “No funny stuff. Don't go casting weird spells.” “Cast all the weird spells you want.” Musashi contradicted him immediately, crossing his arms. “... Takumi! I hereby invoke. Hiko-san, Tamamo-chan and Celeste-chan are my royal guests, so I'll take full responsibility.” [Nohr] [Inn] Graham was tense – far more-so than usual, even with his usual task of dealing with Caitlin's shenanigans. He sighed deeply – until he realized Rue was staring, and he tried his best to smile – but it was clearly forced. “I'm...” He couldn't bring himself to lie. “... No. I'm not alright. This is my fault... that woman was after the magic in my eye.” Caitlin wasted no time; she spun around and slapped Graham in the back of his head. “Don't start going all whiny on me! The only person at fault here is that crazy woman and her band of butchers! Misplaced guilt leads to all kinds of really dumb ideas and premature deaths, so just stop it!” Graham could only frown. She didn't know everything – no one did, and he didn't want to tell them... [Kanna's Nicer Coach] “So who can we expect at this party, Kanna?” Rica asked, finally breaking his silence. He could tell that Joyce wasn't in the best of spirits – and since if there was one group of people he was genuinely nice to, it was his grandkids, he decided to change the subject. “Anyone important?” [Dali] “... Something bad is happening in this town, isn't it?” Garnet asked quietly as they walked. She could tell. The hesitation of that girl from the inn, the children from before – and the lack of any adults. The mysterious connection to the castle – it all sounded... bad. “Kewh!?” Vivi stopped in his tracks as they walked. “Umm... did anyone hear that?” He asked as he adjusted the brim of his steeple hat. “I think... it sounded like a chocobo...” Edited by GoldenSama, Dec 1 2017, 08:59 AM.

[Nohr] [Inn] “... No. I'm not alright. This is my fault... that woman was after the magic in my eye.” Rue frowned. She knew she was prying (and everything inside her told her not to ask) but she felt like she needed to know. "What could Jade do with your eye....With you? What are your powers capable of?" [Kanna's Nicer Coach] Kanna shrugged, looking to Rica. "You know, the usual. Rich sons of bitches with good wine, a bunch of women i'd rather not chat with and a few business prospects. One of which i've been meaning to chat with for awhile." She then looked to Joyce. "I'd like you present when I do. I think she would like you" Joyce raised a brow. "Me? Why me?" "Well you're smart, and inquisitive. Not to mention beautiful" Kanna answered, though the compliments sounded strange coming from the woman. "I think you both could benefit from working together" Joyce was now sitting up, shifting a bit uncomfortably but nodding nonetheless. "Who is she?" she asked. "Her name is Madame Rouge, but I doubt you'd know her. She spends her time in higher circles than even I" |

[Hoshido] [Shirasagi Castle] Hiko's hand went to his mouth as his expression suddenly became different, reddening slightly and assuming mock embarrassment as mischief started oozing from him in palpable waves. He just couldn't help himself in times like these. "Oh. Oh my. I am... Very glad that you are so willing to take responsibility for the evening of passion that we have all shared, Musashi-san, but... I must disappoint you by saying that I am not interested in your proposal. I must remind you that during that evening, I believe I have not attacked you even once. While you are indeed a man worthy of being named a man, Musashi-san, I simply do not 'swing that way'." Hiko paused then, before stepping forward and offering a formal bow to Takumi, bending at the waist just enough to show his own respect for Takumi's statement, but not a low bow as to show deeper respect for the man himself. "You are defending Hoshido, Takumi-san. It is not something I wish for you to stop, and a responsibility I do not wish to rob from you. There may be eyes watching, but not all of them are friendly or willing to help, no matter how present they may be. And I will not fault you whatsoever for being suspicious, since it is the job of those that defend their home to remain vigilant of any threats. So to put your mind at some ease, I will state here and now under all the eyes that watch and weigh, that neither I nor any of my current companions are a direct or willing threat to your home. While you may not trust your own eyes and ears and judgement of my words, trust the eyes and judgement of others among your circle that can see and sense clearer." He paused, coming out of his bow and lifting the straw hat he was wearing so his squinted eyes looked at the man visibly from underneath the brim. "... Nonetheless, your caution is warranted, Takumi-san. It is not empty. Your senses do not fool you. And yet, those senses have been ringing bells of warning to your instincts far before we have arrived, for months... Haven't they. Instead of looking to scapegoat arrivals as enemies, perhaps you should take a look into places you never would have? Of course, I am simply a mere swordsman, a traveler, I would never dare to presume to tell you what you should be doing Takumi-san. My words are not in any way meant as an order. They are but a simple suggestion." Edited by HellAvatar, Dec 1 2017, 05:27 PM.

[Nohr] [Inn] Graham sighed, and he leaned against the wall. He knew this moment was coming... he didn't want to endanger them by telling them, but... as he glanced over to see one of the dead bodies strewn about the inn, he realized he had already put them in danger. They should at least know why. “... It's... a long story. I think we should wait for Liam to get back. I don't know that I want to tell it twice.” Caitlin was concerned now, staring at her friend/kinda boyfriend and seeing a sorrow on his face she'd never seen before. [Kanna's Nicer Coach] “I can chat with the women for you.” Rica volunteered, with his smirk ever-present even as he anticipated the rather frosty glare. Then his mood changed when she mentioned Rouge. “Sounds like the kind of person who could be useful to know.” [Hoshido] [Shirasagi Castle] Musashi shook his head at Hiko. He was starting to realize just how much Hiko liked to mess around at the worst times. He shot him a quick glare, but soon enough it was Takumi who had Hiko's attention. The archer stood and listened, and all the while his clenched jaw just tightened. While Hiko was being measured and polite, it seemed to just bounce off Takumi. He watched the fox-eyed man with the same suspicions as before. “Words are hollow.” Takumi finally spoke. “... We'll see what your intentions truly are, and I'll be watching you. I'm not about to relax in my duties.” Musashi, however, just shook his head. “Hiko, you're talking to a brick wall. Takumi here has been the most stubborn person I ever met since we were children. Let's press on and see my brother who isn't as dense as brick.” |

[Hoshido] [Shirasagi Castle] Hiko nodded respectfully to Takumi's comment. "I do not expect you to." Musashi's comment did make him pause, however. Despite what he saw, he was almost sure that Takumi was a very loyal man, the sort that could be extremely reliable. Despite being a so-called 'wall', Hiko figured that the kingdom would definitely be less safe without said wall around. "Sometimes even a wall will listen, Musashi-san." Throwing a reassuring smile to his other two companions, he fell right into step with the swordsman as they pressed onward into the castle proper, following the member of the Miyamoto family to an audience with the most recent of the land's rulers... I can't see what you're imagining

-Hoshido- Shirasagi Castle Celeste paused as Musashi put his arm around her shoulder, then didn't seem to remove it. She frowned slightly, but decided it would be best to keep quiet for now. Especially when Hiko was picking on Musashi. Silence seemed to be the best way forward. “I promise, I am only here to help,” Celeste did state though, steeling herself. “I won't cast any weird spells... or any spells unless I'm forced to.” -Nohr- Inn Liam frowned at the carnage, gathering his things and Graham's, before moving to the girl's room. He grabbed their things as well before he slipped back outside, climbing down the wall lugging the bags. “I got everything I think,” Liam said, handing Caitlin and Rue their bags, then glanced towards Graham. “I can carry Graham's stuff for now until he recovers.” Streets “Bandits don't... tend to be nice people...” Edda said, shaking his head. “Most of them prey on people weaker then them.” He sighed, shaking his head. “When I was growing up in Ylisse, I was training to be a Shepard there. They protect Ylisse, and driving off bandits was one of the duties.” But he had abandoned being a Shepard, having too much wanderlust to stay in one country. Kanna's Nicer Coach Sage frowned, the name of Madame Rouge sounding familiar to him, but he couldn't place why. “What do you need us to do?” Blake asked, indicating himself and Samara. Probably not to creep people out and/or keep Samara from murdering someone. Dali Zadkiel and Aiden headed out with the others, a troubled expression on Zadkiel's face. Aiden kept glancing at her father and looking worried as well, knowing what that expression meant. Then the sound of a possible chocobo... “We should check, then,” Zadkiel said, heading towards the source of the noise. -Ylisse- Clearing “Ahahahahahahahaha!” Aku laughed as Artoria declared herself, leaning down to look at Artoria, still towering above them all though. “You really believe you can defeat me, AKU?” Aku laughed, straightening up and bringing his hand down in a massive blow at Artoria! “Argh!” Aku yelled, Diarmund in front of Artoria now, one of his spears piercing into Aku's hands. “You fool!” Aku produced another arm, sweeping Diarmund to the side, sending him flying sideways out of the clearing and smashing through a tree! I'll bite your legs off!

Nohr As they walked along, Didymus asking for guidance and doing his best to keep wary, he found himself sighing at Garnet's question. "I...cannot say for sure. But...it certainly is suspicious. And often, I've seen, when something SEEMS wrong or off...it's because something IS." He looked around and caught Vivi in his peripheral vision. "Of course," he went on, wondering if he was talking to himself as much as Garnet, now. "...we have no PROOF that something necessarily truly sinister is going on here. It could just be odd..." Much as the two tended to go together, he thought, on his missions, there was no guarantee. About Vivi, about Dali, he thought. But it is a Paladin's charge to keep the faith even amidst that. he thought. Then the sound of a chocobo was heard. "What...the...heck?" Didymus said, looking about. "...well, maybe someone is riding one nearby?" he thought out loud, looking about for what may have been the source of the sound. |
