Didymus blinked as the children ran off, and looked around.

"...alright, so let's look at the facts. Children playing unsupervised at this hour in the street. ALL the adults at work. Again, AT THIS HOUR."

He paused.

"...this...is suspicious. Concerning. But, may the Lord have mercy...not sure we have the time to investigate. We need to stay focused. Find some chocobos and get going. Though I suppose we could start our search at the inn, as that child suggested...I admit that there's a part of me that thinks that this situation here is worth looking into, but...every moment we dawdle, increases the risk we face, and endangers our mission all the more...still, perhaps we can find information about both chocobos and the situation here at the inn..."

“Thank you,” Celeste said, taking the cup and sipping carefully. She drank it down, then handed the cup back to Hiko. “I'm feeling better already. Shall we head out then?”

“Right then... I'll just need you to grab the handle of my sword,” Liam said, holding up the cold iron implement, which was still in it's sheath, suppressing it's effects. “It's probably going to hurt.”

He held it up so Graham could grab the sword. It would hurt like hell for Graham to do so...

Zadkiel frowned slightly, watching as the children ran off.

“I suppose we should go to the inn, see if we can buy a few chocobo...” Zadkiel said, worried, though keeping himself from showing it.

A few minutes later, they would start to hear... skittering...

After Celeste drained the cup of liquid (which by itself was a tea mixed with some form of strange spice that triggered every single sensation of taste possible), Hiko calmly received the returned vessel and poured a similar dose of tea for himself, mixing it with the same strange, glowing liquid. And just like Celeste, he drank it down in a few long sips. He needed the recovery as well, but for other reasons. This method of recovery only really worked for spent energy forms and stamina, allowing for quicker recovery of fatigue, but Hiko cheated anyways. And for him in particular, this served as a healing aid.

Something he needed, since he still walked around with three cracked ribs and a heavily bruised torso.

As he finished the cup, he stowed it away in his wooden pack, hefted the box over his shoulders, and then suddenly he was in front of Tamamo, once more displaying some of that unnatural speed that he timed perfectly in those moments when others were blinking. He was smiling widely and with merry mischief, his face inches away from the woman's.

"Now now, Tamamo-san. THAT..." He poked her nose with a forefinger. "Would be telling a secret."

And with a happy spring to his step, he started down the stairs of the shrine, leaving behind him what used to be a magnificent testament to the ambitious reach of Hoshido...

[Tokohotsu Shrine - > River Bank]

With their stamina replenished thanks to Hiko's mysterious elixir, the group was ready to set out. Musashi sighed as he turned and bowed once more to the destroyed shrine. While he had never been particularly spiritual, he did grieve to see what was once considered a sacred place so defiled and destroyed.

“Once we reach the capital, I'll make sure someone is sent to clean this place up, and give the dead their proper last rites and a good burial. They've suffered far too long as it is.”

Soon they were off, setting down the heavily forested roads of the forest.

Eventually, as they drew closer to the town where Musashi and Celeste had met, Tamamo paused and her ears fell.

“I think it's best if I don't return to town... I can't stay and I'd hate to cause the townsfolk anymore harm.” She announced.

“You really should go back and see them at some point. They definitely missed you.” Musashi frowned, but he wouldn't push things.

Passing the town through the back roads, the group would pass through a dense forest with numerous tall trees. All manner of animals seemed to always be lurking just out of view, beneath the gently swaying grass, behind the bamboo and in the tops of trees. Chirps, howls, clacks and scattering was all fairly common.

Eventually they came to where the dirt road turned to smooth pavement, and Musashi stopped and looked towards a river. Across the river was another wooded patch, and paved stepped that went up the side of a tall mountain... following the steps with one's eyes showed they kept climbing as far as could be seen, eventually disappearing above the clouds with the mountain.

“Castle Shirasagi sits atop that mountain. It's both a full city, and the Imperial palace, all rolled into one.” Musashi explained, although he had a feeling that Hiko and Tamamo likely already knew this, but had doubts about Celeste. Foreigners were a rare sight at the capital. “Climbing the steps takes... quite a while. It's a great workout, but I don't recommend we go that way...”

[Nohr]

[Thicket]

Graham nodded. He didn't like this idea much... he knew enough about Cold Iron to know it wouldn't react well with the magic in his eye... although he wasn't sure exactly what would happen, since he didn't know the full extent of his eye's power, or even where this magic originated.

'No time to worry about that now.' Graham sighed. He reached out and took the handle of the sword, and then gasped in pain and bit down to try to suppress it – he could feel the magic in his eye becoming... smaller. It was like it was shrinking down, disappearing from him. After a moment of growling in pain and trying to keep from making too much noise he fell to his knees.

For the first time in years, he couldn't feel the pull of the magic in his eye – the normally blue eye slowly faded. It had become warm and brown like his normal eye – but he could not see.

[Dali]

“... This isn't right.” Garnet frowned. She had never been outside of the Nohrian capital before, but she doubted a town was supposed to be like this. It worried her – tremendously. She sighed deeply, putting her hood down.

Vivi looked around with curiosity. Something about this town felt... familiar, but he couldn't quite figure out what it was. He bit down on his lip.

The nearby inn didn't take long to find. Inside, a rather unusual sight – it was mostly empty, save for a girl who looked no older than fifteen behind the counter, working the front desk.

“Can I help you?” She asked when she saw the group come in...

[Ylisse]

[Clearing]

Aturia stopped when she heard the skittering in the distance. She did not draw her blade, but did take note and look around.

“What was that?”

[Tokohotsu Shrine -> River Bank]

Hiko waited for just a moment, letting Musashi pay his respects and then fell in step with the warrior, traveling alongside him at the same pace. Just like before, his footfalls barely left a whisper of a sound upon the ground and his gait was uncannily similar to someone gliding instead of walking. As Musashi made his comment about the shrine, Hiko let out a noncommittal hum, but said nothing, simply walking onward.

Though during one of his footsteps, the extremely perceptive would have noticed a slight shimmer, and perhaps just a little bit of a fade around the edges of his walking form...

-------------------------

[Tokohotsu Shrine]

As the group left the shrine behind and their footsteps vanished in the distance, a lone figure stepped out from behind the ruined supply shed on the far side of the shrine. Hiko let out a low sigh, stretching away the slight stiffness that came from having to remain so still and hiding his presence...

And got to work.

First, he made his way to the back of the shrine grounds, where he offered a prayer for the passed to the small grave site attached to the shrine. Once done, he took the time to dig a grave next to the mounds already present, and brought the body of the deceased priest over to bury. Once he had completed the burial, he formed a mound of stones, upon which he set a small rice bowl half-full of rice, nine red spider lily flowers and a burning stick of incense.

"I hope your road takes you to a bright place... Old friend..."

With a sad little sigh, the swordsman then made his way to the center of the shrine grounds and the area upon which he waged battle against the demonic forces. There, he settled his breath, focused... And stomped upon the ground at the same time as sending out a powerful pulse of spiritual energy. The pulse of power rebounded within the walls of the shrine, and... Was absorbed by something as SOMETHING seemed to waken, as if from a long dream.

And that's when Hiko's smile gained a genuine merry, happy tone. Whistling merrily, he almost skipped his way to the front gate of the shrine, turned around... And bowed deeply, placing the straw hat back upon his head. And as he straightened up from his bow, he could see a transparent, glowing form of an old man with a long, green beard sitting cross-legged upon the same place where he stood just moments ago. Hiko just smiled, and with a loud exhalation he clapped his hands... And the massive gates of the shrine slammed closed with a loud ring, less like the sound of wood upon wood and more likened to the sound of a ringing bell...

He turned about, and a slight wind picked up, his form fading it it and dissipating like steam or smoke in a light breeze...

------------------------------------------

[Tokohotsu Shrine -> River Bank]

Hiko gave a side glance to Tamamo as she informed that she would not want to return to the town. It was a strange decision by the fox woman, and he wasn't entirely sure why she decided that it would be the better choice for her to stay away.

Of course, perhaps she just didn't want to be the focus of attention again. The woman was almost hauntingly gorgeous by human standards, and would attract all sorts of attention wherever she went, no doubt about it. Hiko, however, also knew that most kitsune would preen at that attention, and would use it to further whatever plots and schemes they had in mind at the time. Even if those schemes were some harmless pranks.

Perhaps there was more to this particular fox woman than he thought.

As they continued to travel, he remained mostly silent, though at one point he excused himself to disappear in some bushes to take care of nature's requirements, only to return without that strange fade around the eges of his form. However, after the silence became heavier than it should be, he dove into the sleeve of his haori and pulled free the same flute which initially attracted the attention of the two strangers he met, bringing it to his lips and setting free a light, cheerful tune. This continued until their feet took them out of the Forgotten Forest once more, to the hilly base of the Tenshou mountain and the 'gateway town' at the very bottom of the steps that served as the provisioning town for the imperial castle. By the time the group cleared the forest, the sun was already setting on the horizon, bathing the land in the reddish glow of twilight and setting dusk.

That's when Musashi spoke once again and Hiko finally pulled his lips away from his flute.

"Do you have another option, Musashi-san? I thought the stairs were the only way into the capital unless one knew how to fly."

[River Bank]

Musashi stared up at the massive Tenshou Mountain. It stretched up as high as the eye could see, disappearing beneath a wave of clouds. Getting to the top was no easy task even with the massive staircase, and it would surely take them hours to try the stairs. After their fights and traveling, he doubted any of them had the strength for this journey, at least not without food and rest first.

Yet Musashi knew there was no time for that, and he knew that his secrets would be revealed soon enough. He sighed, walked closer to the bank of the river before turning to Hiko.

“That's normally true, Hiko-san, but not in every case. Hoshido is a very magical place... and there are certain special leylines that run through the ground here. Dragon's Veins, as they've always been called... they say that those with knowledge of them can use the Dragon's Veins to do incredible things...”

He waded into the water a bit, letting it flow across his sandals. He closed his eyes for a moment, and then suddenly in the water around him, a massive white symbol began to burn.

Posted Image

The water began to stir, sploshing and splashing around Musashi until it suddenly formed into a large circular shape and seemingly solidified. It had not become ice, but was solid all the same. It had become a small carriage, completely spherical but with a compartment inside where all of them could fit with ease.

“The power of the Dragon Vein will take us straight up the waterfall, into the lake in the middle of the castle courtyard. Go on! Get in, I promise it's safe.”

Didymus had been around more villiages than this, and while it wasn't entirely unheard of for something similar to their current situation to be found...it was odd. He found himself agreeing with her sentiment, or at least suspecting that it may well have been true. Still, they couldn't dwadle, but as they moved, he noticed Vivi looking around.

He STILL didn't totally trust the most recent addition to their party, and attempted to subtly make sure he was constantly between Garnet and Vivi-and if he could help it, between Garnetas well as Aiden and Vivi. He wasn't sure if Vivi was some kind of tracking device or spy...of course, he had no proof any of these concerns were legitimate, and any evidence (namely that they had been tracked THROUGH THE WALLS after taking him with them) was scant and circumstantial at best, and had other explanations...

...still, he was wary. Being tracked through the walls after letting Vivi come with them, being so far from the border without transport at the time, with Nohr's forces looking for them feverishly, he suspected, and now THIS odd situation in a town, was making him a tad uneasy.

Thy will be done, Father...and please, help me that I might play my part in that, whatever it is, in a manner pleasing to Thee...

Finally, they had arrived at the inn. The girl manning the front desk looked like a teenager, but at least THAT, he thought, had a plausible explanation. It wasn't uncommon for inns to be run by families that even had their younger ones at work-thought at this hour, it may have been unusual for someone not quite an adult to be manning the front position. Still, they had finally reached the inn and therefore maybe they could get some information.

"Yes, good evening. Sorry to bother, but we were wondering if you could direct us to a place where we may buy chocobos, if any such place is open at this hour?" he asked.

[Kanna's Apartment]

Kanna watched as Rica changed his outfit with a snap of the fingers, unimpressed by the man's skill. She raised a brow but then spoke. "So I suppose you'll be my date then?"

Despite not being impressed the woman still moved forward, taking the man's arm.

Meanwhile Samara was now staring at Rica from her spot, now once again on edge from the strange man's display. She said nothing to the mage, but instead took Blake's arm in a similar fashion as Kanna taking Rica's. She wasn't sure if she was doing it right, but it seemed appropriate.

[...]

“I trust her about as much as I trust my father,”

Joyce looked to Sage, but eventually gave a nod. "That's only fair" she noted, knowing Kanna was untrustworthy-at best. Her mother never sugarcoated how much Kanna couldn't be trusted- but she was her grandmother...

She then noticed Sage's troubled look. "I'll be careful around her" she reassured with a small smile.

"Joyce, Sage hurry up!"

Joyce jumped, hearing Kanna call for them. Instantly she stood, cleared her throat, and smiled. "Ummmm for what it's worth, you look good in the suit" she said.

[City]

Willow's grin grew and she instantly went to work selecting a few treats from the counter for herself and her parents.

Suddenly the bakery's door opened and a few more customers walked in, chatting about something with troubled expressions. Willow couldn't help but to look up from her treats as they came in.

"Did you hear? Another bandit attack last night" a woman started, pulling along her son who was probably barely three. "Another coach driver killed!"

The other woman with her seemed equally bothered "It's hardly the first, but I heard the scene looked particularly gruesome. I heard the hires for the coach were apparently only children. Though who knows what happened to them if a bunch of bandits got their hands on them..."

Willow frowned, returning to her dad's side with the baked goods.

[Thicket]

Rue stayed in her spot next to Caitlin, watching as Liam and Graham....Well....She wasn't sure what exactly was happening. The girl knew very little about Graham's powers but somehow Jade was tracking them...

Suddenly Graham gasped in pain and fell to his knees, Rue instantly standing back up and rushing over to the two men. She looked from Graham to Liam unsure is she was allowed, or even able, to help ease her sister's beau's pain.

"Are you okay?" she asked softly.

[Kanna's Apartment]

Rica just flashed his sly smirk at Kanna, which grew slightly as she took his arm. He knew it took more than these meager displays of power to really wow her – but none of his ideas on how to really impress her were safe to do in a room full of kids.

“Of course,” Rica replied to her question with his usual mixture of unearned bravado and smarm. “I haven't been to one of these fancy parties in a while now, and it's always so much fun to get all dressed up with you... well, actually usually the opposite of that, but plenty of time for that later.”

He's just the worst.

[Thicket]

Caitlin was concerned, staring at Graham as he shook, doubled-over in pain. She could only assume that Liam's sword had disabled that magic in his eye... and while she wasn't fully-sure what that meant, she doubted it was good.

“I'm o-okay.” Graham replied shakily to Rue as he sat back up. His once-blue eye was brown once more, but it was... dull. His pupil starred off listlessly, and for Graham he saw nothing from it. He gritted his teeth, still feeling pain, but now far more worried about their crazy pursuer.

“We should get moving... now that my magic's gone and I'm blind on one side, I'm not going to be any help if that woman finds us.”

Caitlin just scoffed. “If she finds us, I'm stabbin' the crap out of her.”

[Dali]

“Buy Chocobos?” The girl at the inn frowned a bit, and she seemed... uneasy. “Well, we have a lot of chocobos in the village, but I don't think you can buy them. S'far as I know, all the chocobos are owned by the Queen. We just breed them here and use them for work, but we don't really own 'em.”

Garnet's eyes lit up, and she felt a sense of relief over the bit of guilt in her stomach. If the chocobos in this town were all royal property, then they were her's – technically – and it would be all the easier to get one.

“You can ask somebody at the farm, but...” She paused, and then shook her head. “I don't know if you'll have any luck.”

Didymus listened, himself a bit dismayed that all the chocobos were owned by Nohr's government-that would make the hassle-free purchase of them all the more difficult. Rather than just a simple transaction, it may require some under-the-table dealing, if not worse-and while at this point he was no doubt officially a criminal in Nohr anyway for what he was aiding and helping with, he still didn't want to cause more problems for the villagers than necessary.

"Thank you, um...may I ask which way to the chocobo farm, then?" he asked. "Also, another question if I may, because we're passing through and are curious...all the adults are at work, at this time of night? Is it safe for the children to be out? Sorry, we're just newly arrived here and it seems a tad off, I mean no offense..."

The faster they moved, the better. But as long as they were here, he figured he could ask...

Kanna smacked Rica in the arm at his comment, earning a confused look from Samara who was still at Blake's side. The shadow being didn't quite understand the innuendo, perhaps she would ask about it later...

"Joyce! Sage! Now!" Kanna barked, unwilling to be late.

[Thicket]

Rue frowned at Graham's pain but did nothing to heal him for the moment. She didn't want to fix what Liam just did, lest the magic return.

“If she finds us, I'm stabbin' the crap out of her.”

"No you won't!" She exclaimed back at her sister, suddenly afraid once more. "She's different Caitlin...She'll hurt you too...We just need to stay away from her, we need to get back home"

It was late morning now, her parents had expected her a few hours ago...

[Jackson Residence]

Almost fifty miles away Sarai Jackson sat in her husband's clinic, tapping her foot nervously on the cold stone floor. At the moment she was alone, Caitlin was out exploring the world, her husband on his way home from an assignment out of time and Rue the same....Except Rue should have been home by now. The girl had promised her mother that she would catch the first coach she could back to their small town, and if she had the trip should have only took a few hours at most.

Perhaps she was caught up with healing....Or maybe she slept in....Or maybe she was in some sort of awful danger and needed her parents' help-

Sarai paused and shook the morbid thought out of her head...Rue was fine. She was a cautious child and was trustworthy to a fault. She was fine.

So why couldn't she shake the awful feeling in her stomach?

Caitlin frowned, and wanted to argue with Rue, but she did not. Jade was something else... far more dangerous than anyone she had ever fought before. Thieves and bandits were one thing, but Jade was something else... something terrifying.

“Fine.” Caitlin frowned. “... but how do we get home? We don't have horses, and if we leave this thicket we'll be out on the open road where she can easily see us!”

[Dali]

“At the far edge of town.” The girl explained. “Just follow the main road, and go beyond the windmill. I don't know if anyone can help you though...”

She stiffened as Didymus asked about the adults. She shook her head. “... You... probably shouldn't ask about that.”

[Jackson Residence]

Knock! Knock! Knock!

Three loud knocks resounded from the door, and then, without waiting long enough for anyone to answer it, the front door was suddenly thrown open! A woman with short hair stepped inside, smiling broadly as she pushed her glasses up the brim of her nose and announced her presence loudly.

“Surprise! I'm he-”

She stopped as she realized the clinic was empty, save for a nervous Sarai sitting and tapping her foot. There was no sign of Connor, or the girls, and she immediately frowned slightly.

“... Okay maybe a surprise visit wasn't my best plan...” Moira sighed, running her hand through her hair, before glancing over at her sister-in-law. “Sarai! Where is everybody? And why do you look so glum? Like... moreos than usual.”

“Child, we mean no harm,” Zadkiel said. He appeared to be out of his armor, though Garnet might sense some magic about him. An enchantment, another little helpful spell woven into his armor that Loralee had crafted for him, making the armor into normal clothes, for now.

“If there is something that we can do to help, please, let us know,” Zadkiel said calmly, using his 'dad' voice. Aiden straightened up slightly, feeling like she should be saying something even though he was directing the inquiry towards the younger girl.

Liam grimaced as he saw how much pain Graham was in, putting the sword back on his belt for now...

“I had to leave my money back in our room...” Liam said, thinking. Along with his spare clothes. “Wait... that might... it's crazy, but...”

He smirked slightly. “Let's head back to the inn. She'll think we panicked and went running. There's no way she'd think we'd double back. We can grab our stuff and sneak out the other way, while her and her men are looking in the wrong direction.”

Bakery

Edda frowned at the news, glancing towards Willow and seeing her expression. Children...

“Excuse me,” Edda said, speaking up now. “Where were these bandit attacks at?”

Edda wondered if Chloe would be in the mood to crack some skulls if any bandits were still around...

Kanna's Apartment

Blake smiled as Samara took his arm, adjusting himself slightly so both would be comfortable. He hoped Samara would enjoy the party...

Sage walked out with Joyce, dressed now and grinning at the compliment Joyce gave him.

“I take it we're all ready to go then?” Sage asked.

Celeste was impressed at Musashi making a way up, then frowned as she realized what that had to mean... maybe...

It could mean one thing... which would make sense from the little she knew. But if he didn't want to tell them, Celeste wasn't going to pry. She didn't want people prying further into her background, after all.

“Be nice to sit for a while,” Celeste said, getting in and sitting down. At least already as a girl, she didn't have to worry about another awkward change and explanation.

[Riverbank, base of Tenshou Mountain]

Hiko could almost smirk at what he saw. The Dragon Vein. A leyline of energy merged with the spiritual presence of the guardian of the very mountain upon which the capital stood, a pathway usable only by those who bore the bloodline of the Imperial Family, or those rare few that the spirit of the mountain recognized and permitted to travel.

It was the quickest way up the mountain barring direct gateways. And Hiko remembered them well.

It was with a practiced ease that Hiko stepped into the water, allowing the energies of the Dragon Vein to flow through him, recognize that he traveled with another that opened the gate, traveled with the permission of the Imperial Family. And, in a flash of light, he was gone.

But like all the other times, it really wasn't all that easy for him.

In fact, he didn't appear immediately on the other side. Instead, he stood in darkness, the energy of the Dragon Vein providing to be the only light, frozen somewhere mid-way as something recognized him, paused him, watched him. He let himself be open to the river, his intent obviously non-threatening as whoever watched him recognized him, and he spoke.

"... I come without meaning harm, you know."

The answer wasn't verbal. I fact, it was more like a feeling, a scoff of amusement from something or someone who just barely woke up to watch him with one eye. But that scoff also held some disbelief, at which Hiko just sighed shrugging.

"... Not any significant harm, I can assure you. But as they say, where one like me comes, mischief surely follows..."

The feeling of amusement heightened, before a grudging acceptance settled.

And without any further warning, Hiko stepped out of the Dragon Vein, the last to come out even if he was the first to step in at the beginning...

In ages long past, I shall be looked upon as a tyrant and a savior! As a savant and as a fool! My work shall advance humanity long past its time, throw it into the unknown future and force it to grow strong or FALL! Years from now, when I will inevitably be removed, my work shall continue to progress, because these things cannot be denied! Governments will publicly criticize my work, but privately conduct research that advances it! I shall imprint myself into the annals of history, among the stars that shine as brightly as Albert Einstein, Isaac Newton, Benjamin Franklin, Dmitri Mendeleev, Nikola Tesla, and countless others! My work will shine as brightly as any star, and I AM ITS CREATOR!!!

The Crazy One

[Ylisse]

[Clearing]

As the group of strange figures suddenly appeared from out of the shadows and came charging, Lancelot was the first to react. He charged forward without a second's hesitation, yelling out and swinging his massive sword!

Despite his large size and heavy armor, he moved surprisingly quickly, and each swing of his sword was done with expert timing. Lancelot fought as a man in control.

Others had attacked from behind, and Merlin raised his staff and slammed it against the ground – and as he did, several hundred small, colorful dots appeared around him and went flying at the attackers from behind – upon closer inspection, the 'dots' were actually flower petals, in every color of the rainbow!

Whenever they struck something there was a small explosion of blue flames!

For her part, Artoria stood her ground – and she seemed to be holding a sword, although if she was, it was invisible in her hands.

[Hoshido]

[Castle Shirasagi]

The strange blob of water carried them all up – and as it did, they would all feeling as if they were being carried along by a gentle – but fast moving – current. The world around them melted away, leaving them somehow underwater, flowing up the great waterfall until finally being deposited on a small platform.

Now they were just beside Castle Shirasagi!

The massive, looming castle was majestic – situated in a dense forest atop the mountain. A quick glance around would show just how high up they truly were. The castle in the clouds was the seat of Hoshido's power.

And as the group stepped out, they would find a group of heavily-armed samurai standing and waiting. Naginata and katana were drawn, but they did not attack – instead they watched the group with trepidation and surprise.

“Who goes there?”

A man suddenly appeared, standing between Celeste and Hiko, holding a kunai in each hand and looking particularly unfriendly.

“Saizo! Chill the hell out, they're with me!”

Musashi had spun around to face the taller redheaded ninja, glaring up at him. “They're obviously with me so you can just relax!”

Saizo stared down at Musashi coldly, his one eye narrowed. He made no move to put away his weapons, but he did turn and disappear with a flash of smoke.

Musashi could only sigh, shaking his head, as he turned back to the assembled guards. “That goes for the rest of you too! Go tell my brother that I brought news...”

“Are you on something?” Caitlin frowned at Liam. She had known the boy a long time, but didn't think he was this crazy... it was usually her who had the worst ideas, but Liam was giving her a run for her money. “... Ugh, fine...”

Graham gritted his teeth, still breathing hard. He moved forward, leaning on Caitlin shakily. “I'll keep up... it's just been a while since I only had one eye.”

[Dali]

The girl frowned up at Zadkiel. She looked around a bit, and then shook her head. “... Look, you really shouldn't get involved in anything, okay? Dali is an important village to the castle. They'll take care of us.”
