[Nohr] [Outside] Caitlin grimaced. Growing up as the fearless troublemaker, she was no stranger to dislocations. She vividly remembered falling out of her favorite tree and ending up with one knee dislocated, and howling in pain as Rue tried to calm her down; until thankfully Connor found the girls. Rue was handling it much better than Caitlin did; though she wasn't six either. “I know what to do... but... Rue this is gonna hurt.” Caitlin frowned deeply as she gripped her sister's arm. “I'm sorry.” She bit her lip, and then snapped Rue's shoulder back into place. |

I can't see what you're imagining

-Hoshido- Tokohotsu Shrine Celeste sighed for a moment, glancing towards Tamamo and her fox additions. She couldn't really speak about hiding things... “I suppose I should explain myself some,” Celeste said, “Since I wasn't a short red head when you met me... I am studying cures for curses because of this. One day a couple years ago I lost about a day, and when I awoke I had this curse. Cold water changes me into a female, like you see here, and hot water changes me back into a male. It's... something I try to keep quiet about...” -Nohr- Thicket Liam clicked his cold iron sword back into it's scabbard, it's anti-magic effect disappearing as they hurried away from Jade. He stared at Rue as he saw her hurt, feeling a desire to turn around and go after Jade again, but kept himself from doing something wreckless. He definitely had a few feelings he needed to work out... City Edda paused for a moment, thinking. “Something like that. Your mother and I definitely clicked early on, but I don't think either of us thought about love at first... but one day we both realized that neither of us wanted to have a life without the other,” Edda said, smiling now, “And I couldn't imagine my life without her now either.” Kanna's Apartment Sage was mostly dressed, at least his pants were on, when Joyce walked in on him. He blushed, turning around quickly as he stared at Joyce. “Ahhh! J-Joyce... you... ummm... what are you doing here?” Sage asked, buttoning his shirt now. Blake paused, then smiled at Samara again. “I like you to be yourself. As long as you feel comfortable, that's what matters!” Mountain Side “As it is... there are too many unknowns,” Zadkiel said, “Let us head into town though.” Zadkiel produced his cloak, putting it over himself and hiding his armor now as they headed down towards the town. |

Nohr [Mountainside] "Yes, I don't like all this uncertainty either..." Didymus said. "...we must press on in faith, indeed, but as always being wary of our part in what shall unfold..." He thought about what Garnet had said. Horses being used for civilian work less often than chocobos? Hm. He may have wanted to ask more on the subject, but thought that they had already said all that needed to be said for the moment. He pulled out a spare cloak from his pack and wrapped it around himself, disguising himself, to an extent, once again. He may have wanted to ask about what Garnet had said, but unnecessary talk may not have been the best idea, he thought once again, and most of what was needed was already said. Except, he thought, for perhaps one thing... "...are we carrying enough money to purchase what we'll need to get out of here? I'm not sure you took anything with you, I know that I was sent with some money just in case..." he said to Garnet. |

[Kanna's Apartment] Joyce walked further into the room, taking a seat on the bed. She thought nothing of the fact that Sage was still getting dressed, even if the young man was obviously flustered in her presense. "How do you like her?" she asked, pausing before clarifying "My grandmother. What do you think about all she's saying?" Aka do you trust my possibly evil or maybe a mobster grandmother. [...] “I like you to be yourself. As long as you feel comfortable, that's what matters!” Samara looked at Blake again with a strange look before closing her eyes and changing once more- this time into a girl perhaps six. This was around the first time she formed in front Blake, back when he was a lonely child with no friends. Her gown was replaced with a red party dress (simular to one Joyce wore as a child) and her black hair fell wavy around her face. "She can't go like that" Kanna said bluntly, eying the shadow creature before turning back to Blake. "How would it look for a young man to bring a child to an affair such as this?" [City] Willow couldn't help but to give a wider smile. Even though it was a little gross that her father was gushing about her mom, it was also pretty sweet. It was also the reason she and Liam were here so who was she to complain? [Thicket] Rue knew this was going to hurt, though she hadn't quite prepared herself for just how much. When Caitlin jerked her arm back into place Rue had to scramble to grab a hand full of her sister's jacket to cover her mouth with in order to not howl in pain and give away their spot. Instead came a muffled whine, the girl clutching the fabric so tightly with her good hand that her knuckles turned white. Finally the bone was back in place and Rue forced herself to take a long breath to calm herself back down. She squeezed her eyes shut and concentrated, forcing a dim glow to appear in both of her hands. As soon as it grew enough to be noticeable the girl slapped it over her shoulder, pouring her powers into healing herself for once. Edited by Crystal Rose, Nov 8 2017, 08:09 PM.

[Hoshido] [Tokohotsu Shrine] Musashi suddenly froze. He had been so preoccupied with his worries about giant demon spirits, evil snakes from beyond the grave and the prospect that he was about to march a bunch of strangers straight back to the Imperial Palace and demand an audience with his eldest brother that he had completely forgotten the strangeness that happened earlier. He spun around to Celeste. “That's right! You were a dude!” He shook his head as he listened to Celeste story. “... Dude, whoa. I didn't know there were curses that could make you a woman...” He paused, rubbing his chin, clearly deep in thought. And you probably don't want to know what he's thinking. [Nohr] [Thicket] “Are you okay?” Graham asked Liam as the boy put his sword away. He frowned. “Sorry we ran ahead, but I knew Rue was hurt and getting her away from that woman seemed like a priority.” Caitlin meanwhile frowned as her sister's mostly-silent scream echoed in her jacket. She reached out and brushed some of Rue's hair back, offering a slight smile to her sister as she looked at her. “I'm sorry. I know that hurts like hell, but it's the only way.” [Kanna's Apartment] "She can't go like that" Kanna said bluntly, eying the shadow creature before turning back to Blake. "How would it look for a young man to bring a child to an affair such as this?" “Scandalous.” Rica was suddenly in the room, although where he had come from and how long he had been there were anybody's guess. The mysterious mage had a habit of disappearing and reappearing at random, mostly just to mess with Kanna. [Mountainside] As they began the hike, they stayed near the large rocks and kept close to the trees. Most of the pass was open fields, and it was dangerous to walk down them. The village of Dali was not too far away, but the open fields would make spotting them easy for any Wyvern Riders. “I brought some money along,” Garnet explained. “... but I do not know if they will sell us chocobo. We may get lucky, but I don't know.” |

Nohr [Mountainside] Didymus frowned as Garnet spoke her uncertainty about being sold chocobos. It's true that their mission was very important...but their quarrel wasn't with the people of Dali, he thought. To inflict MORE suffering on them on top of whatever danger their own presence may put them in... "Lord willing...hopefully we can obtain some legally and fairly..." he said. "...important as our errand is, I would be remiss if we had to resort to thievery..." |

-Nohr- Mountainside “I have some Nohrian money as well,” Zadkiel said. “Loralee insisted I bring some.” Zadkiel always felt uncomfortable around money, usually just using whatever he needed to get by. Kanna's Apartment Sage paused for a moment, then decided it was best to be blunt and truthful. “I trust her about as much as I trust my father,” Sage said, a dark look on his face, then realized again he was alone in the room. With Joyce. In a slinky dress. On a bed. Sage took a deep breath, shaking his head. Blake paused, getting down on one knee in front of Samara. “We can't be kids anymore though... we're grown up, we have to be more responsible,” Blake said calmly. He also missed when he was a kid and didn't have to worry as much... though he did worry as a kid anyways. He smiled at Samara though. “You just don't have to worry about impressing me, you're my friend after all!” City Edda let out a soft sigh, then paused as they came across a bakery. “Oh, this should have something your mother would like,” Edda said. Thicket “It's fine, you did exactly what you should do,” Liam said to Graham, “I'm just glad Rue... and everyone else... is safe.” He grimaced slightly as Rue started to heal herself, looking fretful. -Hoshido- Tokohotsu Shrine Celeste frowned, raising an eyebrow at Musashi and wondering what he was thinking about. “As it is...” Celeste said, glancing back towards Tamamo. “Fox ears... and a tail. You're a kitsune, aren't you?” That explained a few things. -Ylisse- Road “Strange beings of shadows, yet also of flames... A green, unworldly fire,” Diarmund told Lancelot, “They could change shape, meld and break apart... Fought as if of one mind...” |

[Nohr] [Mountainside] “If it makes you feel any better, I would be entirely within my right to confiscate the chocobo for royal business.” Garnet pointed out. It was true – as a Princess of Nohr, she could technically demand use of the chocobo (or the war horses) if she had need of them. “I can't, of course, because I must keep my identity hidden... but it's not quite the same as common theft. Once this is all over, I can make sure they are compensated. And that is only if they will not sell them to us outright.” She had been planning her escape for quite some time... [Thicket] Graham nodded, but he also frowned slightly. “We're not safe. Not until we're a lot further than this away from that woman. She's something else...” He looked down at his hands and sighed. “I'm afraid this is my fault. She can sense the magic in my eye... and she wants it. She's not the first psychopath who has gone after me trying to steal this magic, she's not even the scariest, but she's certainly up there.” [Hoshido] [Tokohotsu Shrine] Tamamo frowned as she stood back up, her ears twitching slightly as she turned to the others. She rubbed the back of her neck, and then gave a small bow. “I... yeah, guess I can't really deny it.” Tamamo shrugged slightly. “I am a kitsune. My name truly is Tamamo no Mae, and I have dwelt in Hoshido for a very long time... I did not expect to have to reveal myself, but none of you seem too bad, so I don't mind it.” She clapped her hands. “Please don't worry! I'm not going to be any trouble.” [Ylisse] [Road] “That is a most worrisome description.” Lancelot frowned deeply as he rode. What could these creatures be? After a bit further, they came upon a small clearing and Arturia stopped them there. She dismounted her horse and tied it to one of the trees at the edge of the clearing. “We should approach on foot from here.” |

[Hoshido] [Tokohotsu Shrine] While Celeste and Tamamo confirmed their secrets, Hiko felt somewhat... Uncomfortable in the situation he was in, though he did not show any discomfort outwardly, his face settling into a pleasant smile once more. And the reason for his discomfort were his own secrets. It really wasn't fair at all that these strangers revealed so very much of themselves, and he planned to reveal nothing in return. And no, he really did not plan to reveal anything of himself yet, if he would at all. But that sense of fairness sent just a little spark of guilt through him. It is a good thing he wasn't so young anymore, and that he knew the value of a secret. So instead, he turned his attention to Tamamo's revelation, and gave her a small and formal bow. "I did not believe for a second that you would be trouble, Tamamo-san." Then his voice turned slightly mischievous and teasing. "Nevertheless, I do believe that I shall be careful that I do not fall for your charms, lest I am accused of conspiracy. A truly monumental task, I will assure you." He turned his smiling face to Celeste then, smoothly flowing into speaking with the other man-turned-woman. "Would you prefer it if I referred to you differently when you are in this form, Celest-san? Your name is rather masculine, and it would be difficult to hide your... Condition... If I kept referring to you with that name." |

Nohr [Mountainside] Didymus nodded at Zadkiel's comment, but let out a soft, perhaps slightly nervous chuckle as Garnet spoke about her status. "Between all of us, we should be carrying enough funds to pay for a ride, if not a purchase of the chocobo outright." he said. "Still, thank you for that...reassurance, Lady Garnet. All the same, I do hope that it shouldn't come to us having to leave an IOU to a resident of Dali..." he said. He looked about, seeing if he could see any pursuers or listeners. "Still, unless there is any further planning required...it may be best to be a tad quieter till we get into town...not that I wouldn't prefer to talk, but we must be safe as we can..." |

[Thicket] “I'm sorry. I know that hurts like hell, but it's the only way.” Rue focused on healing herself, only opening her eyes to look to Caitlin as she comment about how she was aware how much the injury hurt. "How in the world did you manage to do this to yourself so many times as a kid?" she half asked, half joked, still gritting her teeth. Finally after a few moments the wound was healed and her shoulder back to it's normal position. She looked up at the group as Graham mentioned his magic eye. She frowned looking from the man to Liam, and frowned deeper noticing his especially troubled look. "Are you okay Lia-" Suddenly a crunch in the leaves not too far away from them....Rue whipped around, pulling herself up in the process. Another crunch. But no one to be seen. [City] Willow followed her father inside the bakery, eying all of the sweets and breads behind the counter with interest. While she wasn't like her mother in appearance or tastes in cities, she did looooove all the fancy foods her mother raved about. It was much better than trail mix and camping food- and it was 100 times better than having to hunt (which she had done several times before). "I'm not too in trouble not to get a sweet am I?" she asked with a grin. [Kanna's Apartment] Kanna couldn't help but to raise a brow at Rica's sudden appearance. "Where did you go all of a sudden?" she asked, doubting he would tell her. The man was always lurking around after all... Meanwhile Samara nodded silently at Blake. She didn't know which of her forms she preferred....They were all the same to her. Though she knew Blake liked some over others (even if he wouldn't admit it). She was part of him- she knew what made him happy, angry and even embarrassed. One more change, now the girl was back to Blake's height, her long raven hair returned as did the red dress from the girl transformation. It matched her rather creepy red eyes quite well. |

[Hoshido] [Tokohotsu Shrine] “Oh don't worry, Hiko-san. I don't plan on beguiling anyone.” Tamamo smiled at him, although Hiko might have noticed there was a slight trace of sadness in her eyes. 'He has no way of knowing...' Tamamo reminded herself. Then she paused, closed her eyes and the ears on her head and the tail on her rump both disappeared. “Ah! By the way, if I could ask all of you to please keep what I am a secret... I would prefer not to advertise my true self.” “Wait...” Musashi paused, frowning as he turned his attention towards the pink-haired fox-girl. There was something about her name that struck him as familiar. Tamamo no Mae... ever since he heard it spoken in the village he had thought he had heard it before, but coupling it with the idea of a kitsune really struck a chord of familiarity. He frowned, as he realized he could not place it. “... Never mind, anyway, we should make haste. Castle Shirasagi is a bit of a hike from where we are now...” It would also be one hell of a climb, at least normally, but Musashi didn't intend to force them to slog through that. [Nohr] [Countryside] Soon enough, the group would make their way down the mountainside. The steep, rocky paths were replaced with a trail through the open grass. The grass here was withered and dried – and looked fairly unhealthy. Nohr was notoriously a difficult place for anything to grow without magical aid, and it seemed this area hadn't gotten enough of it. Dali was visible in the distance. A small town, quiet and working farms that seemed to be doing poorly. The closer they got, the more obvious it was that the crops were failing. Another oddity they could soon notice was that there did not appear to be any adults walking around the town, only a group of children playing in the street... [Thicket] Caitlin smiled at her sister – until she heard the crunch in the leaves. It was frighteningly clear that they were not alone, and that worried her. She quickly pulled out her dagger, gripping it tightly and keeping an eye out. For his part, Graham too fell silent. He drew his sword and stood with his back to the others, counting on them to watch his back. [Kanna's Apartment] “I was rifling through your cabinets, looking for booze.” Rica replied, with a big grin, although it was very likely that he wasn't telling her the truth. “Looks like everyone is all dressed up.” Rica noticed, and then with a snap of his fingers, his clothes transformed themselves into a rather expensive-looking suit. |

-Hoshido- Tokohotsu Shrine “Uhhh... Celeste I suppose works still. Just imagine there's an 'e' at the end,” Celeste said to Hiko, shrugging slightly. “I prefer to be referred to as a female when like this, then male when I'm in my, well, male form.” She rubbed the back of her head, looking a little awkward. She then glanced towards Tamamo. “I won't tell. But have you ever been down to the Elgaia Federation? There's a magic university down there, one of it's instructors is a kitsune, I met her before. Enchantments were her thing, not really my kind of magic though.” Finally Celeste looked over to Musashi, frowning a little. “Right... hiking... As a warning... I might not be helpful if we run into another fight unless we get some good rest,” Celeste said. -Nohr- Thicket Liam frowned, staring at the ground, in thought. “...Graham, your magic eye. She's tracking it? If you could... get rid of it, briefly, somehow, could you get it back with time? If you could suppress it?” Liam asked now, looking up towards Graham. He glanced towards his sword, holding it up. “This can get rid of magic, but I know it returns. It... would hurt like hell, especially considering how much magic you have, but it could keep Jade from finding you until we're far enough away...” City Edda sighed, then gave a nod, “Okay. Just one though, alright? I don't want your mother angry at me.” Edda pulled out some coins to pay as Willow selected what to get. “Get something for me too, dear!” Edda said. Blake smiled at Samara, holding out his arm as he stood up now. “Okay, we're ready to go!” Blake said. Dali Outskirts “Where are all the adults?” Aiden wondered, glancing around. Zadkiel moved forward, approaching some of the playing children with the practiced ease of a father. “Young ones... where are you parents?” he asked, speaking calmly. -Ylisse- Clearing Diarmund got off his horse as well, tying it off before he grabbed his spears, his leg feeling better, no longer limping as he moved forward. “Allow me to take point, my King,” Diarmund said, moving forward now. |

[Hoshido] [Tokohotsu Shrine] Hiko nodded calmly to Celeste's comment, the confirmation assuring him that he guessed right as to Celeste's wishes about all of it. "I will make sure to keep it well in mind, Celeste-san." When the boy-turned-girl mentioned that she would require rest, however, Hiko raised a hand in a universal 'just a moment' gesture before making his way back down the stairs of the shrine to where he originally dropped his wooden pack. As he walked back with the pack in hand, he opened one of the compartments and pulled out a small clay jar stoppered with a cork, a tea cup and a pack of mulched herbs. When he reached the top of the stairs, he set down the wooden pack, uncorked the small jar a let a single drop of whatever was inside into the cup, a drop of something liquid that glittered and shone. Adding the herbs and a bit of water from another jar, he held the cup in his hands for just a moment, focusing... And then handed a cup of steaming-hot liquid to Celeste, tea as vividly green as the jushest of jungles, glittering with a golden sheen that radiated warmth from the liquid. To Musashi and Celeste, is was a very warm cup of tea that gave off an ethereal, soft golden-green glow. To Tamamo, however... It was visual candy. It was glowing and radiating warmth and spreading all the way to her senses and eyes. It was concentrated, powerful, almost overwhelming, and it glowed in her spiritual senses like a miniature star... "It isn't likely that we will run into more danger around this area, Celeste-san, but for the sake of caution, I would like you to drink this. It will stimulate recovery, and will gradually recover any internal reserves of energy you have lost within the next two to four hours. This is the least I could do for your aid in what is certainly a problem that I have brought upon you, and while you did willingly agree to it..." He paused, before stepping back to view the group of three warriors and special companions that have helped him. "I apologize to all of you for dragging you into such a dangerous battle situation. I have... Severely underestimated the corruption in this place when I first observed it." Edited by HellAvatar, Nov 11 2017, 08:33 PM.

[Hoshido] [Tokohotsu Shrine] Tamamo looked over at Celeste and shrugged her shoulders. “I've been to Elgaia before, but it's been quite a long time...” She then smiled and moved hand quickly, making a large pink flower appear in her palm – each of the petals fell off, one by one, and transformed into what resembled a paper crane. The paper cranes flew up, flying around the group before finally disappearing. Musashi watched with awe for a moment, before Celeste caught his attention. “Don't worry, we won't have to actually climb the steep cliffs to get to the castle... not that we COULD... once we're on the base level, we can take one of the trams up.” When Hiko poured out the cup of tea, Tamamo froze in her spot, watching it with excitement. Teh colors – the power that seemed to spill out from the liquid; it was enchanting to watch. She raised an eyebrow. “My, my, Hiko-san, wherever did you find such a treat?” [Thicket] “She must be.” Graham shook his head. “My magic is... distinct. It's hard to explain it simply, but it definitely stand sout.” When Liam explained his plan, Graham frowned. He didn't like it, but... “Do what you have to do. It won't hurt worse than when I actually lost the eye.” [Dali Outskirts] One of the children looked up and paused as Zadkiel approached. “The adults are all at work. Umm... if you need someone, you can try the inn.” The kid gave a funny look at the group of them, and then turned and ran off. [Ylisse] [Clearing] Arturia frowned a bit as Diarmund moved to take the lead. She trusted him, but she worried that revenge would cloud his mind... she knew all too well what mistakes could come from that path. “Let's move.” Arturia moved behind Diarmund, with Merlin behind her, and Lancelot coming slowly from the rear. |
