[Nohr] [Mountain Pass] “Magic Sigils. Infused with a Mage's power and put in place. They can be used for many different things, but usually as wards to keep unwelcome intruders out.” Garnet explained at Didymus' question. “It's difficult to know exactly what they might do... most of the time they're harmless warnings to keep out, but in a place like this... I imagine they may be fatal.” As they made their way into the caves, and Didymus sensed out for evil, his vision would suddenly change. The entirety of the cave ahead seemed to be covered in a slight black mist, clinging to the rocky walls and overhang above. None of the mist lingered near his companions, or on the grounds outside of the caves – but once past the threshold, it was everywhere. Only a slight dusting of it, but it lingered still despite no obvious source – a clear sign that something truly twisted and dark was near. |

[Nohr] [Field] “... You know, if you plan on traveling more, I should teach you how to use one of those.” Rue was curious to just how much Caitlin knew about fighting, but instead of delving into that now she gave a short nod. "But for now let's just get home-” There was a loud howl in the distance, menacing enough to make Rue jump and tighten her grip on her newly acquired knife. "What was that?" she asked quietly. |

-Nohr- Carriage Liam nodded. “We'll head to the river and walk in it a little bit, throw off our scent.” He kept his sword out, moving out into the wilderness, peering through the darkness. “I'll take point,” he said, moving forward carefully now. Train Station Blake nodded, smiling slightly. “Yah, she's Samara! She's my friend...” Mountain Pass Zadkiel peered through the pass, pulling his sword out. “Didymus, I recommend you take point with Garnet to spot any sigils. Aiden, go with them. I will take up the rear in case something attempts to ambush us from behind,” Zadkiel suggested, his armor starting to burn softly with ethereal fire. |

[Nohr] [Field] Graham frowned. That howl... he shook his head, and agreed as Liam started them on forward. Caitlin stayed beside her sister as they walked. After a few minutes she decided to answer her question. “It was probably a Warg. Big wolves the size of bears. They usually live in the forests, but they'll come out sometimes especially if they smell blood... but don't worry, we'll be fine.” [Mountain Tunnels] The darkened tunnels of the mountain were cramped, slightly damp, and smelled of something foul. The deeper the four descended into the mountains, the worse it became. There was an unnatural heat in the air, and every now and then the tunnel became so narrow it was hard to squeeze through. Then after a while, it opened out into a larger passageway – where they would find several large barrels and crates stacked against the wall. The Nohrian royal symbol was stamped on the side of the barrels and crates. |

[Nohr] [Field] Rue followed the others to the river, the girl carefully hiking up her skirt to keep it from getting wet as they waded to lose the scent. She watched the others navigate the water much better than she, obviously because they were all way more experienced. “It was probably a Warg. Big wolves the size of bears. They usually live in the forests, but they'll come out sometimes especially if they smell blood... but don't worry, we'll be fine.” "A Warg..." the girl repeated, frowning as she realized she had blood on her hands. The girl gave a little squeek of terror, instantly dropping the her dress into the water and dipping her hands into the river to wash them clean. She then looked back to her sister. "How often do you an Graham deal with stuff like this?" [Train Station] Kanna inspected Samara for a moment, the teenage girl (?) stiffening a bit as Blake's grandmother came very close. Samara was fully aware the woman could (and would) destroy her if she gave any reason- even if it were to affect Blake's powers. Luckily Kanna did nothing, instead she turned and motioned for the group to follow. "Come along, I have a coach waiting. We can talk once we're at my hotel" Samara couldn't help but to give a little breath, not understanding that the feeling she was feeling was nervousness. [Nohr] [River] Caitlin wasn't bothered by the water, wading through it simply and casting a glance behind her. She was grateful for the river – it would help get the blood and grime off of them, and mask their scent. She tensed up a little when Rue asked the obvious question. “I mean, not a lot or anything...” Caitlin rubbed her neck, frowning. “Well... not like every day or something.” She let out a small sigh. “... Nohr's not a very safe place, Rue. Traveling is hard. This stuff happens sometimes... but don't let it get you down, okay?” |

Nohr Didymus nodded at Zadkiel's statements, and looked to Garnet and Aiden, simply stating "Stay close, please..." He did his best to be alert, looking about, praying as his sword continued to glow with a light that illuminated their path-and as he continued to ask for sight, that he could be warned of any great evil approaching... He didn't like this place, not at all. But within the light that had manifested, there was some reprieve from the oppressive atmopshere of the mountain passes... Finally, they arrived in a larger room with barrels, with Nohr's symbol stamped on them. He continued to move without stopping to examine the barrels... "This way, is it? Please, we mustn't linger a moment longer than necessary." he said. Whatever was in those barrels, his curiosity here was no match for his caution. Stopping to examine any of the unholy experiments in this place, he thought/knew, would be AT BEST a waste of time... |

[Nohr] [River] “... Nohr's not a very safe place, Rue. Traveling is hard. This stuff happens sometimes... but don't let it get you down, okay?” Rue gave a small nod, sloshing in the water beside her sister. She knew she needed to think of something else to get her mind off of the last few hours, anything would do really... "Well at least you have someone with you to face all the dangerous stuff" she said softly, a small smile finally appearing after all the trauma. "I mean Graham protects you right? That's what proper men are suppose to do. And he seems very proper" She was going to say boyfriends but she didn't want Caitlin to try and drown her in the dirty water. |

-Nohr- River “Traveling can be very hard... but it can be very rewarding as well,” Liam said, “The places you can see, the experiences, the people... it's... amazing.” Liam had gotten his father's wanderlust. “But don't worry Rue, you'll be fine!” he added, glancing back to the girl and smiling towards her. Train Station Blake smiled as Kanna didn't do anything bad to Samara, taking her hand as they headed to the couch. “See, grandma is good,” Blake said, ever the optimist. Aiden frowned at the heat. Normally she quite liked it warm, outside in the sun, but this was... wrong. Foreboding, pressing around her. She glanced back to her father who seemed able to shrug it off, his own holy fire casting some warmth itself, but a more comforting kind. “It seems these tunnels are used by someone in Nohr...” Zadkiel commented, eying the barrels. |

[Nohr] [River] “But don't worry Rue, you'll be fine!” Despite everything Rue's face went pink once more at Liam's kind words, the girl feeling a tiny bit better knowing the boy believed in her. It made treading through a river while dragging a bunch of wet cloth a little more bearable. "T-Thanks...I hope maybe one day i'm used to this- all this. Well maybe not the bandit attacks..." [Train Station] Samara still didn't seem totally convinced, but followed the group none-the-less to a coach that was waiting for them. The teenage girlhesistated once more when she noticed the two black horses that were pulling it. She instinctively grabbed Blake's arm- a move which was quite ironic considering she was suposed to protect him. "Grandma they'e beautiful!" Joyce exclaimed, rushing past them to pet the creatures. She looked back. "Are they yours?" Kanna shook her head "Hired. Though they have been quite reliable." "I wonder if I could ride them" Joyce went on, petting one of their snouts carefully. Kanna couldn't help but to wrinkle her nose. "You should sit in the coach. Riding is....Not appropriate." she then raised a brow "Did you mother teach you to ride?" Joyce shook her head "Dad" "....Of course he did." |

[Nohr] [River] Caitlin raised an eyebrow to Liam, mentally reminding herself that she'd need to talk to him alone at some point. That blush on Rue's cheeks was too dangerous to leave unchecked – but she would worry about that once they were someplace warmer, without the danger of bandits or monsters. “Sadly, that kind of thing isn't uncommon.” Caitlin frowned as they strode through the water, trying to ignore how cold she felt from the rushing river. “Bandits are always looking for an easy mark, but usually they're quick to run if you prove you'll be tough.” [Train Station] “Oh come now, who doesn't enjoy a good... ride?” The disembodied, creepy voice seemed to come from a puddle of water on the ground. Suddenly it lifted up, forming into the shape of a man – and then the water fell away and a pale man with dark hair wearing blue wizard robes was standing beside Kanna, with an enormous grin on his face and dark glasses over his eyes. Because he can never pass up an opportunity to be inappropriate, even in front of her grandkids. Or is it their grandkids? I can never keep track of when Kain exists. [Mountain Tunnels] Garnet frowned at the sight of the barrels. Someone was indeed using these tunnels, but she didn't know who – although she had a few guesses. “It... might be Leo. I know he's been doing experiments, but he won't tell me what exactly. He just says it's something to protect Nohr in case of invasion from Hoshido or Galdwin.” Garnet explained, as she stepped closer to one of the barrels. “... I wonder what's in them?” |

Nohr As Garnet stepped closer to one of the barrels, Didymus stepped closer to HER. "PLEASE, Lady Garnet, we mustn't linger...nor bring trouble upon ourselves." he said. He could see corruption all over this area...he didn't know all of the various penchants, projects, and interactions in Nohr's leading family. He wondered briefly if there was familial love between them, or if their relationships mostly reflected the land they inhabited... "Much as I would prefer, by His grace, to cleanse this place if I could...we MUST press on. Now is not the time to pick more fights or spend more time here than ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY. It was this way, correct?" he asked, gesturing towards the next passageway. "Please, DON'T TOUCH IT, and let us move on." he said. Edited by The Vidit of Light, Sep 27 2017, 02:20 AM.

[Nohr] [River] Rue shivered, not only because of the cold but for the idea what could have happened if the bandits would have won. She knew she wouldn't have survived a moment alone without her sister and friends. "Well i'm glad I have you all with me then" she said softly, staring forward unsure how far the river would go. "Do you think mom and dad will run into them? The bandits? I mean, if i'm not home by the afternoon they'll come looking right?" She looked more worried now. [Train Station] “Oh come now, who doesn't enjoy a good... ride?” Kanna stared forward with a deadpan expression on her face, as the blob of water formed into a human- something that any normal person would be terrified of- Ironically Samara- the girl made of shadows seemed to be the most terrified. Her grip on Blake tightened as she stared at the man. Being a magical being herself (if you counted shadows as magic) she could tell he was powerful- and kind of evil. "Grandfather!" Joyce exclaimed, caught off guard at the man's sudden appearance. While she knew Rica to be her mother's father she also knew that Melanie had an interesting relationship with her own parents. Heck, if Melanie knew she was here now she'd probably be furious. |

[Nohr] [River] Caitlin paused and an interesting expressions crossed her face. She stared at Rue, biting down on her lip, and then she let out a big sigh. “... I don't think we gotta worry about mom and dad.” She shook her head. “Turns out dad is kinda famous... he never mentioned anything, but he fought a bunch of stuff back when he was young.” [Train Station] Rica just grinned at Kanna – until Joyce called out and he turned his attention to her. He dropped down to a knee and smiled at his granddaughter, and with a snap of his fingers a blob of water slipped out from under his sleeve, and then turned into a frozen rose, which he handed to her. “Hello, Joyce! It's great to see you again.” [Secret Tunnel] Garnet frowned, and did not touch the barrel... but then it moved on it's own. The barrel shook, vibrating on the sides and the lid shuddered. Something was definitely in the barrel. What's more, as Didymus' special sight fell on this barrel, he would see something... odd. While there was a fine black mist around it, it didn't seem to actually be coming FROM the inside. “Wha...” Garnet paused, watching it shake. “Something is in there... it might need our help...” |

I can't see what you're imagining

-Nohr- River “Yes, my mom and dad told me about a couple of their adventures,” Liam spoke up. “Your parents were very heroic.” Liam wasn't as sheltered as Rue and Caitlyn had been, though he inexplicably had some odd blind spots that his parents did not share. Train Station Sage frowned a little at Rica as he appeared. He remembered that while Galv never had a good thing to say about Sage's father (which the boy came to agree with as he got older and figured out more about his father), the same was said about Rica and Kanna... “Don't worry Samara, this is my grandfather,” Blake said calmly, as Samara seemed to grow worried. “He's a little strange, but he's okay.” Blake is extremely optimistic. Secret Mountain Tunnel Pass Deluxe Edition Zadkiel studied the barrel with his own paladin sight, frowning slightly. “If there is an innocent being within the barrel...” Zadkiel said. “Didymus, perhaps you should stand at the ready, and I will approach and open it?” |
