[The Citadel] Sarai looked over to the bathroom, frowning worriedly for a moment before forcing a smile back towards Connor. She really didn't want to go. "T-Thank you for your help, i'll....Ummmm just be a moment...But please don't wait on my accord. I know you probably need to get back to work" She then turned and slipped into the bathroom, looking around. Instantly she spotted the celling tiles and moved to the stall, standing on the toilet and pressing up the ceiling tiles. As expected it was easy to move, the girl slipping into the ceiling without much fuss. Now that she was climbing through the walls the girl quickly pulled out a PDA with blueprints of the building. Having these on their own was very much illegal- but it wouldn't be the worst thing she'd do today. When she was above the security bay she carefully pulled back a tile, looking through. There were a few men working.... With a sigh Sarai pulled out a smoke bomb, took a deep breath and lit in in the ceiling. The area quickly filled with smoke and began spilling out of the celing and setting off fire alarms through the entire building! [...] “...Oh no...” Melanie watched with wide eyes as Galv jolted back and smacked the wall of the cockpit with a loud thud. She sat in silence for a moment before covering her mouth. "Ah! Are you okay!?" she exclaimed "Sorry! I didn't mean to freak you out!" [Flux] "That's not much to go on...But we're smart. Between my associate and I we shouldn't have an issue with the job" “... Hmm... of course, C-Sec has a lot of cameras and keeps a record of everyone who comes and goes... all we really gotta do is get a look at their records...” Instantly Chloe's eyes lit up. "Ooooh! That actually sounds like fun! Slipping in, bashing some heads and stealing some video footage!" This all could probably be accomplished without the head bashing mind you.... |

-The Citadel- Docks Edda grinned towards Solei, nodding slightly as his attention turned back towards Kagura. “Is that so? Then I have another offer for you. You managed to track me down here, that's impressive. So how would you like a job? I could use someone like you in my line of work,” Edda offered Kagura now. “You can get paid in credits, tech, some combination thereof. What do you say?” Flux “No, going openly to C-Sec is probably a bad idea, Kay,” Jimi said to her, shaking his head with a frown. “We don't know why he left, we don't want to draw too much attention... especially...” He glanced towards his brother Hammah. “Well, the Empire is still hunting down Force sensitives...” Hammah frowned a little, then turned his attention back towards Chloe and Musashi. “Okay, so can you get C-Sec's security footage then? Without anyone knowing?” he asked. Alliance Military Base “Right... I'll contact some C-Sec contacts, ones I trust. I'll have them see if they can find the guy, I'll give them some cover story,” Garrus said, then paused as an alarm started to sound through the base. “A fire alarm?” Garrus wondered, pulling out his pistol and looking around, not expecting any actual fire. Galv stared up at Melanie as he moved slightly, getting up so they were more face to face, his face though extremely red. “S-s-sorry... I was trying to see the screen too and I slipped...” Galv said, not having expected to be in this close proximity to the girl. He then paused as he heard the alarm sounding over the base now. “Oh no, that sounds like the fire alarm!” Galv said, looking worried. -Omega- Docks As Haruka entered the ship, she'd find the hangar was holding a large pod, with a glass bubble. Mist seemed to come from it slightly, and through the glass it almost looked like a figure might be in there... Streets As the two siblings split off, Windsong would soon come into a large open area. Where a large robot sat, a small dog sitting by the robot and wagging it's tail. “Hey!” the robot cried out, spotting Windsong, “What was all that noise I heard earlier?” |

[The Citadel] [TARDIS] The Doctor hurried across the room and wiped his hands with something to remove the traces of blood before turning back towards C. He stared at the young man for a moment with an inquisitive glance; and then he clapped his hands. “Nope! Honestly I haven't got a clue who you are, or who they are. Though I'm guessing bounty hunters from the looks of them... which makes you the bounty.” He shrugged, not paying it much mind. After all in the right time and place there were much bigger bounties on his own head – or at least, some of the older ones. “So who are you? And why are they after you?” [Civilian Dock Warehouse] After being shoved out of the way by Morr, Nanami simply returned to her feet and made her way to the blue box. She ignored the growling Vorcha and instead stared at the strange, out-of-place object. Moving closer to it she pressed her hand to the door, tracing her fingertips across the wood. “... what is this thing?” She wondered silently. It felt oddly familiar, but she was certain she had never seen anything like it before. [Alliance Military Base] As sirens began to blare across the base, many people started to scramble. The soldiers on guard duty began an evacuation, while others tried to lock down the sensitive areas. Connor frowned at the sound and quickly started to make his wait out – until he thought about the girl from before. Had she found her father, or was she still in the halls? It would be easy to get lost, especially in a panic. “Oh man...” Against his better judgment, Connor hurried back, trying to catch sight of her. […] Shepard frowned at the sound of the alarm and her hand instinctively went to her pistol. She flexed the other hand an a 'glove' of orange energy surrounded it, becoming the all-important Omni-tool used by some Alliance operatives. “I'm not a believer in coincidence, Garrus. Big secret mission and then something goes down at the base? Let's investigate.” Shepard frowned. [Docks] Kagura raised an eyebrow. She had seen people offer a lot of stuff to get out of being brought in on a bounty – but rarely had she seen someone offer her a job. Still, she was a mercenary and this Edda guy didn't seem that bad... he had only stolen from the Empire, after all. It was almost noble... stupid, but noble. “What kind of job?” Kagura asked, clearly interested. [Flux] “... It's possible.” Musashi said, with a slight grin. “You ever hear of the Shadow Broker? Information dealer. Nobody ever meets 'em face to face, but word is that guy has connections. We could possibly use him to get the C-Sec footage... of course, I doubt any of us can afford to buy the info, but sometimes the Broker will trade for odd jobs. We do a job for him, he gives us the footage, maybe we find your dad.” [Omega] [Docks] Haruka paused as she came upon the pod. She crept forward and stared through the glass, trying to get a better sight of the figure inside. “What the hell is this thing?” Haruka wondered. She tapped on the glass, trying to provoke some kind of reaction... |

[Citadel] -Flux- "The Shadow Broker is a risky bet," Kay said. She slouched on her chair and rested her elbows on the table. "He could be helpful in this circumstance, but we don't know how much he'll want in return. He could even have ties to the Empire." [Omega] -Streets- Windsong turned toward the robot that had called to her. "It's none of your..." before she could finish her sentence she noticed the dog. The draiken gazed at it curiously. "What...is that?" she asked. Her homeworld had creatures that took on the same role as dogs, but they looked more like a mix between a monitor lizard and a housecat. In her work, she had never seen a canine. -- Lavo was treading carefully about the streets of Omega. He never liked to admit it, but he hated being alone. When he was, he felt like something was watching him, waiting to catch him by surprise. He held his plasma rifle at the ready. Targets Shadow and Omega could not hide for long. At least, he hoped so. He was starting to lose his cool here. |

-The Citadel- Alliance Military Base Garrus nodded, following Shepard still as he scanned the area for any threat. “But if they already have the files, why cause a distraction here?” Garrus asked, frowning. “Something doesn't add up...” Docks Edda grinned again towards Kagura. “Well, my dad was a planet finder. He'd go into unexplored space and search for good planets. Made quite a bit of credits from that. With the war going on, colonization has slowed, so I use the skills my dad taught me to scout through Empire space. Sometimes that means dealing with... less then savory individuals.” He motioned to the ship, “Basically, going around, doing bad things to the Empire, and seeing what we can get our hands with. And you...” Edda looked to Solei. “You're welcome to come too. You have some kind of power, don't you?” Flux “Haven't heard much about him... but as long as we don't give him any information that the Empire would like...” Hammah said, glancing towards Jimi and Kay. “The Empire doesn't know about...” Jimi said to Kay, pausing and glancing towards Hammah, “So we should be okay...” He turned to Musashi. “So where do we meet this guy?” -Omega- Docks As Haruka looked into the strange container, she'd see the figure of a girl, long black hair, her eyes closed. There would be a panel in the box as well, with a few ominous looking buttons, and a status light glowing a steady green! Streets The robotic figured stared down at Windsong with an amused expression. “Huh? This is Buster, say hello Buster!” the large blue figure said. Buster the dog barked towards Windsong, not threateningly though. |

[The Citadel] [TARDIS] Rune let out a sigh, slumping a little where he sat up, looking quite out of sorts. "I'm Rune. Call me 'C' though, that's what I usually go by these days anyways. As for why they are after me, I have no clue at all." He shrugged helplessly. "One day, I get a message from a friend of mine, a mail sent as a trigger in case he was ever killed or otherwise 'disappeared'. He's been in a big project for the company I work for, and it was apparently the wrong contract to pick up. With The Empire knocking down doors, my company, Uplink, had been too busy to protect their employees, and that's when my friends started to disappear, and their bodies found with bullet holes." He punched the grated ground underneath him angrily at that. All sorts of bad memories surfaced, primarily seeing the local news article that his best networking buddy had ended up offed. "I'm not stupid, I could see what was happening. And I was associated because of that mail message, so I ran. Pip... That's the moniker that guy ran by, in case you're curious, and that project he worked on... Well, I declined, thought it was too risky. He went right on in though, relished the challenge... And now he's dead. And I've been on the run from mercenaries and stalkers ever since. Those guys outside? They're just one of the groups, I'm thinking." He looked up at The Doctor. "And who are YOU anyway? Don't get me wrong, I'm thankful you got me out of the firing range of a krogan psycho, but if you're another hunter, I'll warn you that I know absolutely NOTHING of the project Pip was on except that it dealt with a high-security government-database hack." [The Citadel] [Flux] Musashi leaned a bit closer to Kay and gave one of his patented grins. Even in the middle of business, the bounty hunter could never resist a chance to make flirty eyes with a stranger. “That's true, the Shadow Broker has certain risks and he definitely has ties with the Empire... but he's not loyal to either side. This guy is all about the profits. We just leave out the detail that your friend's dad is a force-user and we should be okay.” He paused, and reluctantly returned his attention to Jimi. “We don't meet him. No one ever meets with the Shadow Broker face to face. Hell, I say 'him', but nobody even knows if that's true. No, instead we meet with one of the Broker's contacts. There's a shop not too far from here where we can go. Shouldn't be dangerous, but... you might want to be armed? Just in case.” [Alliance Military Base] “Good question.” Shepard nodded. She couldn't answer it, but she also couldn't discount the possibility that this could be connected. Either way it was a bad situation. [Docks] “... Bwahahahahahaah!” Kagura threw back her head and laughed so loudly that it caused a few heads to turn in their direction. She eventually calmed down, wiping a tear away from one of her eyes. “So you basically go around screwin' with the Empire? Geez... ever hear don't poke the sleeping snake?” She shook her head. “You must have some kind of skills if you're still alive... that or you're just so horrendous at causing trouble that they haven't noticed you...” [TARDIS] As Rune told his story, The Doctor's face fell. It was not the first time he'd heard about the brutality of the Empire – far from it – but no matter how many lives he found destroyed by their whims it never got any easier. The story of Uplink and their fall was sadly not uncommon, though something told him that there was more to the story than C knew. It seemed that wherever or whenever he went, The Doctor had a knack for finding unusual people in unusual trouble. Taking on the Empire was a tall order, even for the Time Lord, but he was never one to turn his back on someone in need. “You were smart to run. Honestly, can't even begin to tell you how many times 'run away' has been the right answer.” The Doctor shook his head. An enormous grin broke out across his face at the prospect that he was another bounty hunter. “Hunter? No, honestly I had no idea about any of this. I was here checking up on some old business and you just happened to be there.” He gave a shrug. “I'm The Doctor.” [Omega] [Docks] “The fack?” Haruka tilted her head. There was a girl in this container? Haruka couldn't imagine someone willingly traveling like this, which meant the girl was probably a prisoner, or an experiment, or a slave – or something else awful. While she was far from the noble or heroic sort, Haruka wasn't in the habit of ignoring someone's plight when she could make a difference – and pissing off the Imps always made her happy. “Now how the hell do I open this...?” |

[Citadel] -Flux- Kay cocked an eyebrow. Had she been a bit more sober she would have caught on faster that the bounty hunter was giving her a look, but it wasn't until he had addressed Jimi that she figured it out. She gave a silent sigh, but didn't say anything. Now was not the time to be breaking any teeth. [Omega] -Streets- Putting her gun away, the draiken knelt down to investigate this Buster a little closer. Windsong giggled and took off her helmet to look back up to the robotic stranger, her bright-blue eyes shimmering. "It's cute," she said with a smile. "Much less threatening than the pets I would have had back home." And just like that, she had forgotten about her mission. "What's your name?" she asked Buster's metallic companion. |

[Alliance Military Base] "It's okay! It was just an accident after all!" Melanie said with a small smile, shaking her head. Suddenly a loud alarm bared through the room, the girl looking around. “Oh no, that sounds like the fire alarm!” Melanie's eyes widened, looking around. She then noticed smoke coming from the celling vents. She blinked....For a fire it wasn't very hot. [...] Sarai knew she didn't have much time, so once the security room cleared out the girl hopped down from her hiding spot, moving quickly to the computer and typing furiously. The girl was mousy but she was smart- which meant she often got tasked with the hacking...After a few more seconds of typing she stuck a thumb drive into the computer and waited- tapping her foot impatiently on the ground.... "Come on....Come on...." she mumbled, looking nervously towards the door. Then a ding! All downloaded! With a sigh of relief the girl grabbed the disc and scrambled back to her spot in the celing. She then made work out of crawling through the celling to freedom....Unfortunately she severely underestimated her weight (or the strength of the tiles) and about four minutes into her escape she heard a dangerous creek underneath her knees. A second later the tile gave way, sending her falling to the floor and landing conveniently in front of Connor! [Flux] Chloe was always impressed and suspicious of all the strange contacts Musashi had...And this one sounded particularly sketchy. Not that she cared- the girl knew she could hold her own without even a gun to her name. They'd be fine. "You guys just stay back and let Musashi do all the talking and me all the intimidating" Because Chloe was the epitome of intimidating.... |

-The Citadel- Flux Jimi frowned at Musashi making eyes, moving a little closer to Kay with an irritated expression. “I don't need any weapons,” Jimi said confidently. “I can handle myself in a fight without them.” “I have a blaster already,” Hammah said himself. He also had a light saber or two, but wasn't going to announce that, or pull them out unless he absolutely had to. Alliance Military Base “You have point Shepard, I got your back,” Garrus said, glancing behind them as they moved. Galv stared up at the smoke now, glad that Melanie wasn't angry at him, managing to get himself out of the cockpit. “Come on, we better get to safety,” Galv said, holding out his hand to Melanie, becoming more serious now that it seemed a threat had arrived, “Fires and space fighters don't mix well, there's plenty of fire suppression systems in this place, but we still need to get somewhere safe.” And private? No, bad Galv! Docks “I suppose you could say that,” Edda grinned, leaning against the entrance to his ship. “It couldn't have been too easy to track me here... I have good information most of the leads on me lead to Omega, but here you are. Offer still stands, to both of you. I have a new mission I could use some help on.” -Omega- Docks: Imperial Ship “Put your hands up and turn around slowly,” a voice said behind Haruka. Behind her was another Stormtrooper, pointing his gun at the girl! Streets The large figure grinned towards Windsong. “Name's Thundercracker! Perhaps you've heard of me? I wrote this screenplay, I heard there's interest in it,” the robotic figure said, grinning. Windsong may actually know the name as a former Decepticon Seeker, a high profile Decepticon team lead by Starscream back when Cybertron was in it's civil war. |

The Citadel - Docks "I am unsure as to whether the idea of hiring someone you just met, is a smart idea when undertaking an operation that leads to you apparently gaining a bounty on your head," Solei answered Edda simply, though not in an angry way. "I also do not wish to cause an issue with the people who rescued me, by falling into another trap. However, what does this 'next mission' you are mentioning, consist of?" Solei was a very curious young woman. |

[The Citadel] [Alliance Military Base] Connor was rushing down the hall, worrying about what he was doing. He had last seen Sarai head off for the women's bathroom and Connor wasn't sure he should go checking there for her – although with the alarm going off, hopefully everyone was out of there. Before he could consider things much longer, there was a loud snap and the ceiling above gave way – and Sarai crashed down right in front of him! “W-W-What!?” Connor's eyes widened in confusion. He didn't think about how suspicious this was – instead he went into medic mode and bent down beside her. “Are you okay? What happened?” […] Shepard rushed into the main building, carefully peering around the corners as she moved. “I'm not picking up any hostiles...” [Flux] Musashi nodded and stood up. “Alright! If you're all sure, then let's head down there and find the Shadow Broker's offices.” As soon as everyone was on their feet and ready, Musashi quickly led the way out of the busy bar and down the road. A quick trip on one of the many elevators that criss-crossed the Citadel and they were soon a few miles down the road, in a trendy shopping area. At the end of the street was a nondescript shop with a sign written in an alien language. Musashi motioned for everyone to follow as he walked inside. The 'shop' was pretty bare; wooden floors and white walls, with a black counter and a computer sat up on it. A chair was behind the counter, and a tall, thin gray alien with large eyes stood beside it. “... Musashi? If this is about-” The Salarian behind the counter started to say. “It's not!” Musashi cut him off with an annoyed glare. “My new friends here are looking for someone who passed through the Citadel some time ago.” [Docks: The Cold Iron] Kagura raised an eyebrow at Solei. This girl seemed way too prim and proper for the kind of world this was. She gave a sigh and shrugged her shoulders. “... I'm with her. I want to know what I'm signing up for. Right now it seems way easier to just poison you and turn you in. Not that I'm going to, mind you, but you're not making a great case.” [Omega] [Docks: Imperial Ship] Haruka froze and swore quietly under her breath. She raised her hands to her side and slowly turned around to see the Stormtrooper. “... Well, hello there handsome! I do love a man in uniform.” Haruka was lying, about a lot of things, but she was an exceptionally good liar. “Sorry I wandered in here unannounced, but I've heard stories about how wiiiiild you Imperials can be and I had to see if it was true.” Edited by GoldenSama, Jan 30 2017, 09:03 PM.

[Citadel] -Shop- As Kay left Flux with the gang she had walked nearly the whole way holding Jimi's hand; not only as a show of affection, but also as a way to reassure Jimi she wasn't going anywhere. Especially this early in the relationship. She only let go once they reached the shop. [Omega] -Streets- "Hmmm. Thundercracker, that sounds very familiar. I may have heard of you from somewhere," the draiken said with a smile. "My name is Windsong. It's nice to meet you!" In her bright mood, she had let her wings unfurl only enough for her injury to become more obvious. -Afterlife- In his wandering, Lavo found himself in Omega's loudest and most populated area. The tall draiken absolutely hated places like this. There was so much noise, so much scent, so much sight. He couldn't bear to stay in this place for too long. Yet, he couldn't leave a single corner un-searched. Every area of Omega he skips is another place for his targets to hide. And what better place to lay low than Afterlife? As if they could, he thought. They look so different from everyone here. They would surely stand out. He fought the information overload all around him and tried to focus. |

-The Citadel- Docks: The Cold Iron “Well, for one, you did let me get back to my ship where my partner is ready to come out and help me, and I don't care how good your poisons or powers are, he's tougher then me,” Edda grinned, tapping the hull of his ship, “I can't tell you everything, but I'll tell you this. I have reliable information that the Empire is moving a shipment of something very valuable not too far in it's borders. It's being disguised as routine transportation. Which means some clever people could get their hands on it instead.” He smiled some, “But I can't really tell you more unless you agree to help out. But I'll give you one more hint, if you agree, I'll put down a down payment, so even if the job gets canceled, you'll both walk away with 25,000 credits.” Alliance Military Base Garrus frowned, looking around. “It's not an attack... It's a distraction! Shepard, the command center, that's got to be where they are, it's the most important place in this base!” Shadow Broker Agent's Shop Jimi held Kay's hand, calming down as they entered the shop, Musashi introducing them to the Shadow Broker agent. “This man,” Hammah said, showing the agent the depiction of his and Jimi's father, “We need to know where he was here in the Citadel, and if he's not here anymore, where he went.” -Omega- Docks “I'm not a man,” the trooper growled, glaring through their helmet, “Guys, we have an intruder.” The Stormtrooper would pause as something thumped outside, turning as a figure in green appeared, Lily placing her hand on their helmet and letting out a burst of electricity, frying them and knocking them out. Lily took a couple deep breaths, a little tired out from knocking out three people with her lightning, frowning at herself because she knew her brother wouldn't have had any issue with it. “We probably don't have long, I knocked out the two outside when they reacted to their comms,” Lily said, then frowned at the figure behind Haruka in the box. “What... or who is that?” Streets “Maybe from one of my screenplays? Are you a reader of them?” Thundercracker suggested, “I have a copy of one here if you want...” He glanced around, looking a bit hopeful. “It's not quite finished though.” |

[The Citadel] [TARDIS] Rune let out a morose chuckle, finally moving and testing his limbs and side. He was sore, but at least he wasn't bleeding all over the place anymore, and he could move. Finally, he heaved to his legs with a wince, and stood, stretching out his limbs a little. "You have no idea how glad I am to still be able to run. I don't know what happened when I left, but I bet it was quite the spectacle. The Doctor, you say? Doctor of what? And would you be able to get me out of reach of those psychos, if possible? You might ant to get on that, just so you know. Those guys were pretty well-equipped, and I doubt they're just going to let your little... Box..." That's when he realized that this was NOT a little box. "... Oooookay, big control room." --------------------- [Civilian Dock Warehouse] And indeed the mercenaries were not just milling about worthlessly. The vorcha were signaled to stop trying to simply bash their way in, and the second batarian, the one that remained behind by the entrance, finally made his move and made it into the warehouse, quickly sidling up to the blue box, examining it, and then pulling his pack off his back, pulling out what looked like a very packed hemispherical device of some sort. Zax kept a close eye on the Krogan, who was still quite twitchy but was apparently coming down from his anger high at last. Both of them watched as the new batarian affixed the hemispherical device against the door of the blue box and pressed a few buttons, activating what was quite assuredly some form of explosive device. Then, quietly and in a surprisingly deep voice for a batarian, he spoke. "... Might want to move away. It's not going to make much sound, but it will tear right through that door like tissue paper." The krogan snarled. "We're supposed to be catching that blonde f*er alive, Zax." Zax nodded. "And he will be. Whatever that box it, it isn't wood." |

Let them swear and curse at me as I tug humanity like a bucking bull into the darkness of the unknown, revealing its secrets to the sane and driving them MAD! In ages long past, I shall be looked upon as a tyrant and a savior! As a savant and as a fool! My work shall advance humanity long past its time, throw it into the unknown future and force it to grow strong or FALL! Years from now, when I will inevitably be removed, my work shall continue to progress, because these things cannot be denied! Governments will publicly criticize my work, but privately conduct research that advances it! I shall imprint myself into the annals of history, among the stars that shine as brightly as Albert Einstein, Isaac Newton, Benjamin Franklin, Dmitri Mendeleev, Nikola Tesla, and countless others! My work will shine as brightly as any star, and I AM ITS CREATOR!!! ~ Desty Nova, Morality
