-Omega- Capsule Corp Ship Bulma grumbled, determined to see about making some powered armor once they got back to her home, Nappa glancing towards Goku now. “Kaka...rot...?” Goku said, “My name's Son Goku though.” “I think this might be a losing battle, Vegeta,” Nappa commented. Alleyway A man in a black outfit with a white coat frowned, looking over the data he had gotten from the Empire ship. “She got off at least... I will have to track those two who took her down, but from the other records I got, she should be safe... they fought against Aria's goons, and I've heard of this... Zelnite... from some other records...” the man muttered, looking at a couple pictures of Sayuri, then changed them. He stared at a picture of Jimi and Hammah, frowning softly. “Sorry... there's still a few things I have to do,” Celest sighed, shaking his head. “You two should be safe back home...” |

[Omega] [Capsule Corp Ship] Vegeta could feel annoyance rising in his brain. This guy was denser than Nappa... and that was a feat that Vegeta had once thought impossible. He just sighed, rubbing his forehead. How was it that on a ship with two other Saiyans, he found himself more interested in the human? “... At any rate,” Vegeta shook his head, turning to Bulma. “Woman! I need this capsule technology.” [Streets] Once they had recovered the data disk, Kimi and Sama quickly made their way out of the side alley where they had left the dead mercenaries. The two hurried down the streets of the darkened city, using the shadows to their advantage. The two made their way into an alleyway and Kimi removed a small device from her belt. She paused, frowning, and then put her grumpier face back on as she activated the device and a blue hologram appeared. In the hologram was a man in the impeccable white uniform of an Imperial officer. His skin was a dark blue, his hair jet black and his eyes filled entirely with red. He sat behind a desk, as soft music played and he admired a large painting on the wall behind him. Slowly, he turned his eyes away from the painting and so his hologram looked at Kimi and Sama. “You have acquired the data disk?” “Yes, Grand Admiral.” Kimi nodded. “... The Blue Sun's gave us an issue, but we handled the situation.” There was no hint of surprise on the Grand Admiral's face. Instead his lips curved into the tiniest of smiles, as if he had expected that news. “I see. Unfortunate, but not a problem. Now proceed with phase two of the plan, Commander. I will expect an update when you are successful.” Kimi saluted. Sama merely stood, but he nodded in acknowledgment. The Grand Admiral watched them both for a moment, his crimson eyes burring into them, and then the hologram switched off. Kimi slipped the device back into her belt and turned to her companion. “That went as well as expected.” Kimi sighed. “He knew the Blue Sun's wouldn't cooperate. He wanted us to kill them all along.” Sama shook his head. “He had it all planned out before he even sent us...” |

[Omega] -Fallback Location- Windsong shrugged at the question. “I don't really remember home too much,” she confessed. “More than anything I just...want to remember it.” She sighed. “I assume they would look there. Still, if it means we have to flee from it the moment we see it, I would be happy enough.” On the wall he was leaning, Lavo started having flashes of memory come back to him at light speed. Even he was amazed that he could remember how vividly green the grass was, how cyan the sky seemed...and how clearly he could hear his mom, singing a lyric-less lullaby to him and his sister while being sent to bed. He had recalled that the song was less about making children go to sleep and more of a prayer to a night goddess to protect them in their dreams. He grimaced. Lavo pushed himself off the wall and stormed away in no particular direction. “Hey!” Windsong called. “Lavo get...!” she groaned, interrupting herself. The Cold Iron -Training Room- Kay jumped up! She barely stuck the landing. She ended up on all fours, which slowed her time in getting back up. When she did push herself up, she turned around and prepared for what Jimi could do next. |

-Omega- Capsule Corp Ship Bulma frowned at Vegeta, shaking her head. “Well you're going to have to wait until we get back to my company. I have some stuff on my ship but I can't just build anything here. It would help if I knew in advance what you're looking for.” Streets Celest frowned, hiding in the shadows as two figures entered the alleyway he was lurking in. He listened, then frowned deeply. More Imperials... they were all over Omega. Had they come for him, or someone else? Either way... they would need to be dealt with, or at least learn why they were here. He still wasn't entirely sure why he let those draiken go... He stepped out into the open now, producing his blade as he stood behind Kimi and Sama. “What are you two doing here?” he demanded, focusing on The Force, attempting to persuade them to answer. Of course, that only worked on the weak minded, but Celest didn't have a high opinion of Empire forces. Fallback Location Shadow sighed, getting up and following after Lavo now, shaking his head. “I'll talk with him,” Shadow grumbled. Omega nodded slightly, then glanced towards Windsong. “...I am glad to see your wing has received medical attention,” Omega offered as an attempt for small talk. -The Cold Iron- Training Room Jimi paused as Kay got back up. He didn't want to press the attack right when she was down... they were sparring after all, not an actual fight. Jimi rocked back and forth on the balls of his feet, hands up and studying Kay's movements, before he went forward again, this timing for a straight on attack, throwing a series of jabs at Kay's midsection! |

[Omega] -Fallback Location- Windsong frowned at Omega's comment. She was trying not to think about her wing at all. She was starting to notice how sore it was. While the medication was working fast, a week or so without flight was annoying. “...Thanks, I guess,” she responded. - Lavo figured there were no windows to look out through on Omega, so he tried to find a quiet corner and sit down. So much had happened in such little time. He felt like any noise was too much noise. He was sure he would split open if he heard any more sounds, at least until he heard footsteps. He had to suck it up if just for a few minutes. He wasn't okay. The Cold Iron -Training Room- Even sparring, Kay knew Jimi was fast. She understood that he slowed himself down for her, but she still had some challenge keeping up with him. She deflected the first few jabs while stepping back. Her arms were starting to hurt from blocking and it distracted her into getting hit once. She used the force of the hit to jump back as far as she could from Jimi's flurry. She kept her eyes on him, looking for an opening. |

[Omega] [Capsule Corp Ship] Vegeta watched her for a moment, and then he sighed and sat down. He didn't like admitting this at all. “... The Empire doesn't have Capsule technology. They have a hard time detecting it and scanning it. That will change. Sooner or later the Empire will reverse-engineer the technology and learn more about it. Before that happens... we could use that technology for a lot. What I need are capsules filled with explosives. It's the perfect way to get them past Imperial security.” [Streets] Sama's eyes went wide at the sight of this man with a pair of lightsabers. He then felt a tiny twinge inside his mind – the feeling of the force. His eyes narrowed, and he raised one of his brows. “... Did you just try to use the force on me?” Sama tilted his head. “Sorry pal, that's not going to work. But those sabers of yours are interestin'... you wouldn't happen to be a Jedi, would you?” Kimi frowned. The last thing she needed right now was one of these Jedi headaches. Besides – today had been grim enough. |

-Omega- Fallback Location Shadow walked towards Lavo, frowning at the draiken. “So you can't go home, big deal,” Shadow said, being the kind of diplomatic guy he was. “Is that all you really care about? Just what you want?” Capsule Corp Ship “Humph, I'd like to see them try and copy this tech,” Bulma frowned, even if she knew that Vegeta was right. The Empire had a number of impressive scientists... “You want to use my tech as a bomb?” Bulma asked, hearing Vegeta's plan, “That's... disturbing... And stupid. So you smuggle a bomb into some ship, then what? Blow it up while you're still inside?” Streets Celest paused as Sama seemed to figure out what he was doing, then shifted his stance slightly as he looked at the two of them. “Jedi? No. I was never a Jedi,” Celest answered, gripping the hilt of his blade. “You two are Empire though. What is the Empire doing on Omega?” Two different Empire groups he had seen today... something was definitely up. -The Cold Iron- Training Room Jimi knew he was faster and stronger then a lot of people. He didn't really know why, his father had just said he was special, different from most other people. He didn't have the Force... not like his father or brother did, but something ran through his veins. “Playing defensive, Kay?” Jimi asked, eying her new stance. “Gotta remember... you can't win without risk.” |

[Omega] -Fallback Location- “So you can't go home, big deal,” The sentence echoed in Lavo's eardrums. Someone said that before. He remembered a blue draiken with shaggy, obsidian hair. Lavo assumed the kid had lost all hope of going home after a day in space. “So what if we can't go home?” the kid would say. “We're here forever, so quit being a baby.” The shaggy draiken riled Lavo up so often that they often got into physical fights. Lavo was close to straining his face with how heavy a frown he was making. “I didn't ask for your opinion,” he growled toward Shadow. “I've had enough lectures today.” [The Cold Iron] -Training Room- Kay grinned. “You're right.” She rushed toward him for an attack. “But you gotta be smart about it!” |

[Convoy Ship] “... Geez... I can't believe this... it really turned into a mess, didn't it?” Sarai wasn't sure what to do as Connor reacted to her news. The girl knew he was probably upset- and this was pretty much entirely her fault, so she sat in her spot and stared down. "I'm sorry." she said simply. "She did it so we could get off the planet and get away from my dad...She said she would be after us soon though....I just hope that man follows through...." Yeah. Rica didn't seem to be the most trustworthy guy around. -Captain's Quarter's- But it wasn't me worried you'd judge me... just that I was worried they might try and get you. I know you could handle things, but... They don't know about you, and you had so much else to worry about, I didn't want to give you my own worries...” Chloe stared at Edda for a moment before she moved forward and kissed him again. This time, no punch. "Stop trying to protect me okay? If some bad guy was dumb enough to come after me he'd get his ass handed to him on a silver platter- I promise. If my father taught me anything it was to defend myself. I also have Musashi now, and he's a pretty decent meat-shield" That last part was probably not a joke. -Fancy Restaurant- I fear you see something in me that doesn't exist Ethan" Kanna said with a small smile "But I appreciate the compliment. "My children make good choices, that's all I really care about. I'm old- it's pretty much too late for me" The woman gave a small - slightly bitter laugh- as she sipped her wine. -Flashback- “I'm sorry... I really am...” Edda said, “But I do... lo-” Chloe's eyes widened but suddenly the girl jumped when there was a knock at the door. She had almost completely forgotten about her father... Quickly she turned on her heel, rushing to the door and whipping it open before crashing into her dad in a tight hug. This had been a very exhausting 24 hours. |

[Convoy Ship] Connor felt so confused. His head was still spinning, even if he had healed away the last of the pain. Why would Moira send them off? Things must have been worse than he imagined. He heard Sarai apologize, and he shook his head. “N-no, it's fine. I mean... this is all kinda crazy, but I wanted to help you...” He paused, looking at her. “And I still do. We'll figure this out somehow...” He trailed off, and then frowned. She mentioned a man? “Wait, what man?” Connor had a bad feeling about this. [Omega] [Capsule Corp Ship] “Don't flatter yourself. While you humans might be inferior to saiyans in every way... I will admit the Empire has a lot of resources.” Vegeta didn't like to give them credit, but they were vast, powerful, wealthy and had enslaved even his “superior” people. “... If the Empire wants Capsule tech, they'll get it. Sooner or later. One way or another. If their scientists won't develop it, they'll just kidnap someone who knows how to make it and force them to do it.” Vegeta spoke very casually about such dark tidings. Then he grimaced. “And that Vader knows how to get his way...” [Streets] “Empire goes wherever we want.” Kimi replied, crossing her arms and having to bit the inside of her cheek. It was something she did a lot – especially when she was talking about the Empire. “Jedi, not a Jedi, doesn't really matter.” Sama interrupted, and there was something grim in his eyes. “You're a Force User – and definitely not a Sith. So right now, you really need to answer my questions.” |

-Omega- Fallback Location “I'm not here to lecture you,” Shadow scowled, glaring at Lavo, “I'm just here to tell you that I don't like people like you. So if you need help running away from your problems with your tail between your legs, don't come crying to me.” Shadow had an annoyed look on his face. Capsule Corp Ship Bulma felt herself shudder at the mention of Vader... which was silly... right? “Vader? He's just some boogeyman, isn't he? Propaganda the Empire puts out,” Bulma said, though there was doubt creeping in her voice now. “He's real,” Nappa said, his voice going colder for a moment, remembering... something. “He's... unnatural...” Alleyway The man in the white coat eyed the two, then flicked on his blade, the white glow humming softly from it. “I no longer answer to the Empire, boy,” the man said... probably not all that much older then Sama. -The Cold Iron- Training Room Jimi grinned as Kay charged him, bringing his hands up, darting slightly to the side as she came at him, trying to knock her to the side using her own momentum! Captain's Quarters Edda paused slightly, then smiled at Chloe, nodding his head. “I... thanks... I'm sorry, I really am. When this is all over, I owe you, okay? Some nice vacation, name the place, I'll take you,” Edda said, smiling, “Wherever you wanna go. Though... also one other thing...” He paused for a moment, thinking. “I do have a source in the Empire, in my family's camp. I... don't know who it is, just that they have to have some high level clearance. They've been extremely resourceful in the past, and haven't turned on me when they could, so I'm inclined to think they are being helpful.” -The Citadel- Fancy Restaurant “Old? You?” Ethan said, smiling. “You are practically brimming with youthful vigor, Kanna. More then enough to lead a change in your life. It's all just a matter of mental fortitude.” Good luck there Ethan. Jacob's House Galv sighed softly, then tuned to Melanie. “You should probably get back to your place,” Galv said to Melanie, hesitating for a moment. “He wants to know if he can escort you back,” Lily said, rolling her eyes at her brother. Galv blushed bright red. -Flashback- Ethan paused as Chloe opened the door and hugged him, stumbling slightly but soon returning the hug. “Okay, so... what happened?” Ethan asked after a few moments. He didn't sound angry, just worried. |

[Omega] -Fallback Location- “Great!” Lavo shouted. “Then you have no problem leaving me alone then?” [The Cold Iron] -Training Room- As Jimi pushed her with her own charge, Kay ended up stumbling over and eventually falling. “Oof,” she groaned. She then laughed. “Guess that wasn't a smart risk.” [Ko-Gek] As the sun was rising, it shone upon the Mountain Palace. Of course the Lord that resided in this castle in a mountain once called it Gand ta Dem-Neh, the throne of their fire goddess. He hadn't called it that openly in nearly twelve years. Lord Lanteth was readying himself for the day ahead. His hair had been combed, his horns shined, and his wings oiled. He was placing on his garment of bells. He had many comments by the Empire outsiders that his royal attire made him look feminine. “Of course,” he would respond. He was the physical representation of the Great Mother's will, after all. At least, he once thought that. As his guilt and regret latched on to him like thorns, he could not shake how he had betrayed his gods and his people. He could feel Ko-Geh's anger toward him on some days, even as he painted the “tears of Ko-Geh” under his eyes with golden paint. Still, he had done what the Empire had told him. Now many draiken who were considered “high class” had the knowledge to build spaceships and high-tech weapons. Soon his people would be able to explore the Vast Void, ...under the Empire name, and perhaps as Empire troops. He let out a sigh. Those poor children who had already suffered that fate. Where were they all now? How many had died? How many still live? He could not even count how many had lived on the planet twelve years ago. He often woke up from night terrors where he could count how many were left. |

[Omega] [Alleyway] “You are just determined to be a pain in the ass, huh?” Sama sighed. He watched the lightsaber ignite and paused at its color – or rather the lack of one. White Lightsabers were rare, reserved for those who turned their back on both the light and the dark. “... We don't exactly have time for this, you know.” Kimi commented quietly. In truth she had other reservations – but she couldn't voice them publicly. “I realize that.” Sama replied, as his own crimson blade hummed to life. “Don't really have a choice. My Master would be very displeased if I let a force user escape... and you know what happens when he gets cranky.” [Capsule Corp Ship] Vegeta fell silent. The vein in his forehead start to pulse, and he clenched his fist so tightly that his gloves squeaked. It was hard to tell if the look on his face was anger – or fear. “... What a charmed life the people of the Alliance must live. That 'propaganda' is very real. Darth Vader, the commander of the Empire's Death Squadron. I don't know if he's man or machine or some twisted hybrid of the two, but I know this... that thing is the single most dangerous individual who has ever lived...” Vegeta might be laying it on thick, but his usual bravado was gone from his voice. “... I still remember it... the day the Saiyan Kingdom collapsed...” [Flashback: Planet Vegeta] King Vegeta sat on his throne, his chin resting on the back of his hand as he listened to the man in gray drone on. The throne room was opulent, filled with gold and large banners displaying the Saiyan royal symbol. On either side of the square room were three Saiyan elite guards, all wearing battle armor and standing at attention. On the far side of the room, the young Prince Vegeta and Nappa were standing off to the side, simply watching. In the center of the room was a tall, thin human with a pointed face and well-kept hair. Admiral Tarkin was flanked on either side by Stormtroopers in white as he spoke. “The Empire is being extremely generous in offering to admit Planet Vegeta. Joining us willingly will insure that your people and their traditions will be respected as much as possible, and you will be given a seat of power in the Empire.” Tarkin explained calmly, apparently unafraid of standing in the middle of a room filled with the finest Saiyan Warriors. “Hah!” King Vegeta slammed his goblet of wine down on the armrest of his throne. “Generous? You humans, always thinking you're so grand... you call it GENEROUS to ask a King to relinquish his throne and go serve your Emperor? Get out of my sight you meek little worm!” Tarkin didn't even flinch. He kept his arms folded behind his back, a thin smile on his aged lips. “I don't think you quite grasp the situation, your highness. The Empire will be admitting Planet Vegeta among our ranks. That has already been decided. The question is, will you accept willingly and cling to some semblance of importance; or will you refuse and forfeit all inheritance?” The King's eyes narrowed. “... If your Emperor thinks the Saiyans will roll over and obey him, then he's a damn fool, and so are you. Now get out of my sight and tell your Emperor that if he wants a war, he'll get on-” The King's words suddenly stopped. His mouth twitched and he seemed to be trying to take in air, but instead he simply grunted. He tried to suck in oxygen and it failed – as if some unseen hand were wrapped around his windpipe, crushing it. The doors at the far end of the royal throne chamber opened, and in stepped a being in black. A combination of metal and leather ensnared his body, a long black cape dangling behind him. He did not speak, but a terrible mechanical breathing came from out of his ebony mask. One of his hands was raised, fingers twisted and slightly shaking. “You seem to be under the impression that this is a negotiation. It is not.” The King stumbled forward out of his chair and fell to his knees. The Saiyans who had lined the room quietly suddenly leaped into action. One of them jumped into the air and from his hands he threw a ball of bright light that slammed into one of the Stormtroopers, ripped a hole in his bleached armor and left him in a pool of crimson on the floor. Another dove at Tarkin, who jumped back, putting distance between himself and the center of the room. Then with a loud whirl a blade of crimson fire extended from Vader's hand. The humming of the lightsaber filled the room as Vader moved like a beast. His movements were slow, powerful and methodical. He dove towards the nearest Saiyan and with a single slash cut him down in the middle, watching as the Saiyan stumbled back and fell apart in two pieces. Another Saiyan threw a blast of energy at Vader – but Vader spun and blocked it with his blade, the energy bouncing off the burning plasma and slamming back into the Saiyan – right in his face. The Saiyan screamed out as his eyes boiled. Vader flicked his wrist and the Saiyan went flying across the room, slamming into one of the other Saiyans. Two of them came rushing towards Vader, screaming as they did so – but those triumphant yells quickly turned into panicked screams, followed by silence as the lightsaber tore them apart. “You bastard!” Prince Vegeta flew from Nappa's side before the bald warrior could stop him, flying at Vader from behind with a kick – but without even turning around, Vader moved his hand and Vegeta suddenly stopped in mid-air. As Vader grabbed the Prince, the King was finally released. He fell to the ground coughing and hacking, sucking up as much air as he could and trying to maintain consciousness. His vision was swimming and his lungs burning as he looked up to see his son floating behind Vader, struggling to move and being unable to. “R-Release him!” King Vegeta shouted. “I will not kill the boy. He will serve the Empire and make up for your foolishness.” Vader proclaimed. Then he flexed his fingers, and Prince Vegeta felt his limbs moving against his will. His arms pushed back, as did his legs – bending in unnatural ways and he could feel his muscles start to ache and his bones start to creak – and then he felt his bones snap and he started to scream as pain filled every inch of him. Prince Vegeta fell to the floor, his limbs all snapped and limp behind him. King Vegeta screamed and charged at Vader in blind fury – and with a single stroke of his lightsaber, Vader removed the King's head – causing it to fall on the ground right in front of his son. Prince Vegeta stared into the lifeless eyes of his father's severed head and his screaming doubled. Vader simply turned and stared at Nappa from behind his dark mask. “... You serve the Empire now, as penance. Take the boy for treatment.” |

[Convoy Ship] “Her old boss.... He works for the Shadow Broker..." she explained quietly "He had strange powers...Really strange powers. My brothers couldn't kill him, no matter how hard they tried...But he knew my father. He didn't like him much..." She drew her legs to her knees, staring down. "Moira traded working for him for getting us out." [The Citadel] [Fancy Restaurant] “You are practically brimming with youthful vigor, Kanna. More then enough to lead a change in your life. It's all just a matter of mental fortitude.” Kanna couldn't help but to raise a brow. "Mental fortitude? You sound like a self-help book Edda." She took a sip of her wine and a bit of her food, leaving the table in silence for a moment. Eventually she looked up, catching Ethan's eyes with her own. "I couldn't be good...Even if I wanted to." [Jacob's House] Melanie blinked, looking from Lily to Galv, her face heating up a bit. She then gave a small nod, wishing the group a good night before following Galv out into the street. "You're family is nice" she said, breaking the silence of their walking. She smiled a bit, pushing her hair behind her ear. [The Cold Iron] [Captain's Quarters] "I will be taking you up on that" Chloe said with a grin, moving back. “I do have a source in the Empire, in my family's camp. They've been extremely resourceful in the past, and haven't turned on me when they could, so I'm inclined to think they are being helpful.” "You think they'd help?" She asked. "I mean they're legit? Not gonna double cross you or something" Chloe didn't really trust the kindness of strangers usually. It came with the bountyhunting. [Flashback] Chloe let out a little breath. Even though it was very late and she had inconvienced him she was happy her dad was here. It had been awhile, at least several months. "Okay, so... what happened?” "I got kicked out..." she mumbled, looking tto the side. She then moved back, leading him into the room. She did take a moment however to motion to Edda. "You remember Edda right?" The girl then took a seat on the couch, drawing her legs to her chest and suddenly gratefull she could sink into Edda's hoodie. She supposed her father was owed a bit more of an explanation. "They found out about my ability....And they wanted to use it." |

[Convoy Ship] Connor froze as Sarai explained. He immediately understood who it was that had helped them – and Connor suddenly punched the wall of the ship and swore loudly. He could remember all the times Moira would come home in the middle of the night, smelling like blood and with the most distant and depressed look on her face. He could only imagine what she had to do – although it didn't take a genius to figure out what those gloves that corrupted their healing powers were for. And that man was always there. With his creepy smile and dark words, he had been the one who sent her out on these missions. He was the devil, as far as Connor was concerned. “Moira...” Connor fell limp against the wall, feeling like his world was collapsing around him. “Why would you call him?” |
