[Melanie's Apartment]

"Hey! You stay out of this! I thought you were suposed to be protecting her!" Jason exclaimed, pinching the bridge of his nose.

"He was protecting me!"

"With his lips?"

Once again Melanie let out a massive groan, now resorting to pushing Jason towards the door with what little strength she had. She was not amused in the least by his antics and was ready for him to GO-

"What's going on here?"

Instantly Melanie froze, standing up to attention for the only person who could elicit such a reaction from her. In walked a woman, a bit taller than Melanie, with the same dark hair and pale skin. Her expression though was nowhere near as warm as Melanie's. She wore a pair of sunglasses that she only took off when she noticed that Melanie and Jason were not alone.

"Who are you?"

[Coffee Shop]

Sarai involuntarily winced when Connor shouted for her to calm down, and she did everything she could to comply.

“Nobody is going to kill anyone, okay? But we do need to do something...”

Sarai took a deep breath, turning back to the man. "I'm l-leaving. That's something. Please stay here and don't come down." she explained, grabbing her bag and heading to the door. "I'm s-so sorry...."

[...]

“I haven't seen anyone, unfortunately. It's been a pretty slow day.”

"That's....Unfortunate...." Genius stated, casually taking a sip of his coffee and pulling out a pistol and placing it on the counter. "You would think with such a slow day you would notice a girl walking into your establishment...

Once again he casually sipped his coffee. "Such a nice place you have here....I would hate for something to happen to it. Of course there are other ways to handle this."

[Lower Wards]

"Boooooo you guys are no fun!" Chloe groaned, following the two in order to do actual work...

C was a man. Despite his generally more-or-less gentlemanly attitude, he wasn't invulnerable to the charms of the opposite gender, and this was certainly a case of such. He just couldn't help but appreciate the form that came out of that bulky, heavy storm trooper armor. He was definitely watching. Well... When the girl wasn't looking.

And when she did finally turn to him, Nanami and the Doc, he gave her a roguish wink as a sort of gratitude. That's when his attention was caught by the knock on the door.

"Well, that's polite. Hey, doc, you got a visitor! Wait... Weren't you taking us to the Citadel? Aren't we back there?"

----------------------------------------------------------------

[Citadel Civilian Docks]

Alita looked down from the top of the ship she was perching on and smiled brightly, leaning to the side just enough to slide down the slanted metal right to the dock, landing right next to Edda, landing in an expert crouch and bouncing right back up to stand next to the owner of the ship.

"Sorry about that, but you were just so busy, and I wanted to see a bit of this ship. Never seen one like it before, actually. The view from above is amazing, you know that, right?"

She definitely sounded too genuine for her own good.

[TARDIS]

“One day I will, but first I'd like to know why you were stalking around Tarkin's ship.” The Doctor frowned at Jenny. She was made from him, so he supposed it was foolish to think she wouldn't get into absurdly dangerous situations... but that didn't mean he liked it.

“This should be the Citadel. Our original location, before that bounty hunter sent us off course...” The Doctor paused, and he had to wonder if it was the stray bullet that had really lured them to the Imperial starship. What were the odds he'd just happen to run into Jenny?

He'd always known the TARDIS to have a mind of its own. He couldn't be sure about any of this, though. Too many coincidences today.

With the knocking on the door, Nanami drew her pistol. She'd had quite enough surprises for the day, and didn't feel like taking any other chances. She moved towards the door, flung it open and pounced out, pointing her gun straight at the person on the other side!

[Citadel: Kaiju Corp HQ]

… and then pausing and giving a slight sigh when she realized it was Marco. “You're going to get yourself shot one of these days.”

She slipped the pistol back on her belt and sighed once more, only now remembering she had asked the Doctor to take them to Kaiju Corp originally.

[Citadel: Lower Wards]

Kanan gave an instinctive groan at the overly cheerful computer voice, but didn't say much. “There is one way we can find your father... but it's dangerous. The Jedi, back in the day, created means to locate people strong in the force for possible recruitment... most of the old temples are abandoned, or destroyed... but if we could locate one...”

Musashi, meanwhile, shrugged to Chloe. “I know it, but we DO need to get paid.”

He led Shiori and Chloe over to the others, glancing at Jimi, Hammah and Kay. “So what's the deal?”

[Citadel: Military Base]

Shepard sighed, and then dropped her voice very low. “... I don't know, but I think this is bigger than Anderson led me to believe. If the Empire is willing to go this far for this hacker...”

She remembered Anderson's words. “Whatever it is, the brass is worried that if this information went public it could jeopardize the very Alliance itself. We have to be careful who we bring in on this.”

[Citadel: Civilian Docks]

“... Friend of yours?” Kagura asked, tilting her head as she stared at Alita, almost lost for words. This girl just seemed too... genuine. If this was all some act, it was an elaborate one.

[Citadel: Coffee Shop]

“Just hold on!” Connor protested as he rushed beside her, moving next to the door and trying to block her path. “You're clearly in trouble, Sarai! You're saying your dad is willing to kill people, and he made you do something that could get you sent to prison for life... you can't just go back there!”

[…]

Moira eyed the pistol and remained as calm as she was before. She watched him sip his coffee, and she gave a sighed.

“... I haven't always worked in a coffee shop.” She said very quietly. Her hands were folded in front of her – but there was a slight glow from her palms. “I'm sure you're a very important and dangerous man. I can respect that... but right now, the best thing you can do is put that away, pay your bill, and go home. If I see your kid, I'll send her your way.”

[Damion's Ship (In SPAAAAAAACE)]

Haruka shrugged, running a hand through her hair. “Well, we're heading to the Citadel, right? Good hub of information. Also Alliance space, so the Empire might think twice about coming after you.”

She paused, leaning back in her hair. “We'll need to find more information about who you are, though... that won't be easy... Shadow Broker might know something, but I hate dealing with that guy...”

Haruka had also had run ins with the Broker in the past, and the last time she had nearly caught a bullet in the brain for her troubles.

“... I dunno. We'll figure it out once we're in Alliance space and don't have to worry about the Empire as much.”

[Citadel: Coffee Shop]

Sarai stared at Connor as he blocked her path, keeping her from returning downstairs. This was weirdly the nicest thing anyone had ever done for her...

“You're clearly in trouble, Sarai! You're saying your dad is willing to kill people, and he made you do something that could get you sent to prison for life... you can't just go back there!”

"I just....Don't want anyone else to get hurt because of me...." she mumbled, falling back on his bed once more and burying her face in her hands. After a moment she looked back up at him, pleading for some kind of answer. She just looked so overwhelmed. "So what do I do?" she asked

[...]

Genius sipped his coffee for a moment, eyes on the woman in front of him. She seemed so calm and collected even with an obvious threat in front of her-

The man laughed. "You're really something. If you're ever interested in work that doesn't involve pouring coffee i'd be more than happy to employ someone like you. The pay is millions more than you could ever imagine if you're good!"

Genius placed down several bills and a card and finished his coffee, collecting his gun. "I look forward to hearing from you when you come across my daughter. Until then, be safe...And enjoy your day"

And with that he left. Of course as soon as he was outside he pulled out his phone, dialing Sarai's number....No ring this time. He frowned, looking up at the building and dialing another number. After a moment he spoke.

"Yes, I believe she's there. Her phone is dead. Either she killed it or they did....No worries....Smoke her out if need be."

Melanie's Apartment

Galv froze when an older woman walked in, who looked quite a bit like Melanie, just aged twenty-ish years.

Galv got up carefully. “Ummm... my name is Galv...”

He felt a surge of fear...

T.A.R.D.I.S.

Jenny frowned towards C, turning her attention back to The Doctor.

“I wanted to do some good, get some information that could help out the Alliance,” Jenny answered, “I managed to get some information, but I was hoping to get more...”

Civilian Docks

“Yah, it is a nice view from up there,” Edda said to Alita, glancing over to Paul who stepped forward as well. “Name's Edda, and you?”

He just wanted to meet up with someone on the Citadel and he ran into all this.

Lower Wards

“We have some leads...” Jimi said to Musashi, Chloe, and Shiori. “But we can't ask you to keep up with us here. I doubt we'd have enough to pay you.”

He paused for a moment, “Oh, but we will pay you for your help here, of course.”

Hammah glanced over to Kanan, “An old temple? Where would we even find one?”

Military Base

“I'll run by anyone I think who could help to you first then,” Garrus said. “I got your back, Shepard.”

-Damion's Ship...in... SPAAAAAAAAAAACE-

“Okay,” Sayuri said, nodding slightly, then paused, tilting her head. “Shadow Broker... A network of informants lead by an unknown individual with access to classified intelligence. Threat level large, should be turned, or neutralized if unable to...”

Lily frowned. “What was that?”

“I... don't know,” Sayuri said. “That just... appeared in my head when this... Shadow Broker was mentioned...”

[TARDIS]

The Doctor went quiet, standing beside the main console and averting his eyes. He should have expected something like that. She was his 'daughter' after all.

“I understand you want to help, but these things...” The Doctor shook his head. “I've seen it all before. The Empire. A brutal, militaristic army that thinks themselves to superior to everyone else in the universe... I know how that story ends. It's better if we-”

The ringing of a phone interrupted the Doctor. His face scrunched up in confusion as he glanced at the phone on the console, which was indeed ringing. With a quizzical glance at Jenny, he walked over and picked up the receiver.

“Hello?”
“Jenny's right.”

The Doctor blinked in confusion. “Who is this? How did you call this phone it doesn't even have a number!”

“Who do you think, you blithering moron?” The grumpier, Scottish voice on the other end grumbled.

“... Oh no, no, no, no, you can't just call me!” The Doctor groaned.

“Well obviously you will eventually think it's a good idea.” The Scottish voice replied with a hint of annoyance and smugness. “Just listen to Jenny.”

“You cannot just call-” The Doctor hear the dial tone, frowned, and slammed the phone back on the hook. “I hung up on me. Unbelievable...”

He stood in silence for a moment, crossing his arms. It was incredibly irregular to pull something like that... not that he hadn't in the past, but never without a good reason... he sighed, glancing at Jenny.

“So I think I was about to say we should leave it alone, but apparently even I disagree with me.”

[Citadel: Coffee Shop]

The moment Genius was gone, Moira quietly walked to the door, flipped the sign to closed and then locked it. Not that a glass door was all that difficult to get past. She turned and hurried back to her room in the back, walking to her closet and opening it and pushing aside the hanging clothes. In the back of her closet was a door – with a digital keypad in front of it.

She swore quietly as she typed in the number and with a hiss the door slid open. She reached inside and grabbed a case, pulling it open and removing a pair of black gloves with fiber-wires running through them, and she slipped them on.

Then she started up the stairs...

Connor stared at Sarai and he wished he had an answer, but he didn't. Her family was clearly trouble – something he unfortunately knew a bit about. He walked over and sat beside her, running his hand through his hair.

“... I don't know, but... I know I don't want to see you in any trouble. I don't want to see you get arrested, or get hurt, and both seem likely if you keep this up. I don't know what your family is like, but... maybe it's better if you don't go back?”

Suddenly the door was thrown open and Connor jumped a little as Moira came walking in. His eyes were immediately drawn to her gloves and he frowned. “Moira-”

“Don't start.” Moira cut him off. “I just had a lovely chat with your dad, girly. Got him to leave, but I know his type. So start talking. Just what the hell are you involved in? Organized crime? Imperial spy ring?”

“Moira!” Connor protested again, but Moira shook her head.

“Connor, the minute I met that Genius guy I was immediately reminded of the kind of people I used to work for. This is serious sh*t, so just be quiet right now, okay?”

Bum bum bum!

[Citadel: Military Base]

Shepard nodded. “Thanks.”

She frowned, but shook away the issues for the moment. Whatever was happening was too important, but she had suspicions about this particular mission...

[Citadel: Lower Wards]

“Old temple?” Musashi listened to Hammah, raising an eyebrow. “What, like a Jedi temple?”

“Yeah...” Kanan nodded, staring at Musashi for a moment. “The Jedi had a lot of temples all across the galaxy. Most of them were destroyed by the Empire, or looted by pirates, but... if we could find one that was still partially intact...”

He paused. “... I don't know if we could even find one, but... some of the older temples were well hidden... some underground. There's one I know of, on a pretty desolate planet... it's in Imperial space, so there's a good chance the Empire already found it, but if they didn't...”

“So you want to go to Imperial Space looking for a temple that may not even exist anymore?” Musashi raised an eyebrow.

[Damion's Ship in SPAAAAAAACE]

“... Okay that was slightly freaky.” Haruka admitted as she glanced at Sayuri. “Some kind of mental programming? I've heard the Empire gets into some of that stuff...”

She grimaced. “Might be dangerous if there's something embedded deep in your mind...”

[TARDIS/KaijuCorp Building]

Kaiju Corp building. That definitely wasn't the dockhouse where C was spirited away from into a crazy adventure on board of one of the imperial core ships, and that made C pause. Then again, this WAS the Citadel, and it was a great deal safer than possibly being dropped back into a combat zone with a bunch of mercenary thugs.

But that still meant he was dropped into a corporate building, and that brought up a whole bunch of discomfort all of its own. There were memories attached to places like these, and C couldn't help but take a peek out the door as Nanami spoke with whoever stood outside the TARDIS, trying to make out what sort of building plan he would be looking at, what kind of exits he could find, and what security he could compromise.

He also couldn't honestly remember if he ever spied on KaijuCorp before. The name sounded very familiar, but he just couldn't place it for himself. For all he knew, this was one of the non-syndicate-networked corporations that he was previously ordered to hack into and recovered data from.

Jenny and this Doctor fellow were busy getting into some sort of heavy conversation though, something about the empire and big events and calls, and Nanami was having a nice chat with the guy in the white suit outside the door of the TARDIS, so he couldn't just sneak out and leave. And while he had a heck of an adventure, C still wasn't sure he wanted to simply abandon his original plan to find some remote border planet somewhere and live out a life well away from any corporate influence.

"Thanks for the drop-off, Doctor. Still not sure about the whole bringing me to the empire deal, but thanks for keeping me safe, rescuing my ass from mercenaries, and... Well, the fun time on board that ship. Been a while since I've been in some heavy action like that, nice to know I haven't totally lost the edge yet. But I think it's about time I went my way, continued my run. You've got your mess to deal with, and I have an empire to get away from. So unless you feel like dropping me off at a border colony somewhere in the outworlds, I think I should be making my own way."

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

[Citadel Civilian Docks]

The smile Edda got back from the girl was wide, cheerful and infectious. "My name is Ga-... Hmm. Alita. Alita is my actual name. Need to get used to that." She shook her head as if to clear it a bit, and tapped the side of the ship.

"So! What happened? What's all this commotion about anyway? I couldn't really hear anything until my ship got rocked about over there by something, since I was taking a nap. Must have been quite something to rock a ship that's fully docked, so I think I missed something amazing."

"Yellow and black. Yellow and black."

Those thoughts quickly jumped into Marco's mind, as the door to this weird box opened up to the sight of a pistol, to keep him from automatically reacting by grabbing at it and punching the holder with his sparking gloved hand.

"...well hello, welcome back home, dear!" Marco sarcastically greeted Nanami, before a laugh. "One of these days you will probably end up shooting me, if you keep greeting me with your pistol like that."

He then peered past the doorway Nanami had emerged from, however, looking inside, and seeing a space that was... much bigger than a box. Marco's eyes got extremely wide.

"...but I won't mind that at all if you bring presents like this back! " Marco then waved hello to all the occupants still inside the 'box', and quickly turned back to Nanami.

"Is it a teleportation device? Or maybe an extra-dimensional warping thing? Or some sort of unexplained magic machine you found somewhere?"

Marco sounded quite giddy, though he soon leaned over to Nanami's ear, whispering in a much more serious tone, and making sure his face was not visible for someone to read his lips.

"Seriously, though, what's happening and is this a threatening thing we're going to have to deal with?"

SPACE: Damion's SPACESHIP

"Well that's a good sign," Damion responded to Sayuri's 'outburst' of sorts about the Shadow Broker, "You may not remember anything, but there's still stuff locked away in there. So we're just going to have to figure out a way to get it all out."

Though after saying that, he paused for a few moments, before sighing and looking out the front window of the ship once more. "...that's just the most difficult part..."

Sari knew Connor was right, she couldn't go back. If she did this kind of stuff would just keep happening. She opened her mouth to speak but suddenly the door flew open and Connor's sister stomped in.

“I just had a lovely chat with your dad, girly. Got him to leave, but I know his type. So start talking. Just what the hell are you involved in? Organized crime? Imperial spy ring?”

Sarai's eyes widened and all the color drained from her face. She looked up at Moira from her spot, lingering on the strange gloves she now wore. "M-My dad was h-here?"

“Connor, the minute I met that Genius guy I was immediately reminded of the kind of people I used to work for. This is serious sh*t, so just be quiet right now, okay?”

"I-I'm not a spy! My dad's a business man, that's what he's always done since I can remember. He makes business deals with people and then delivers what they request. My brothers and I help him get whatever he needs in order to fulfill the requests. Sometimes it's a bunch of papers or photographs, sometimes it's weapons, sometimes it's.... uh people..."

Yeah. That did sound bad when she said it out loud.

"I do whatever he asks me to....I'm the smallest to that usually means getting stuff that's harder for my brothers to. Sometimes they just need someone to be a distraction while they work and tell me to go spend time with whoever they're trying to distract-"

Yeah this was sounding REALLY bad out loud.

Instantly Sarai shook her head. "B-But i'm not trying to distract you guys I promise!

[Citadel:Melanie's Apartment]

Kanna stared down at Galv, inspecting the young man without a word. "And why are you here?"

"Mom...He's....Ummmm my engineer at the base" Melanie pipped up with a smile. Technically she wasn't lying. "There was an issue at the base so we came back here to....Ummmm study"

Kanna raised a brow. "Study what exactly?"

"Ummmm...."

"Melanie, who is this young man?"

Melanie frowned, shrinking away a bit. "....A friend...."

With that simple word Kanna turned her glare to Galv and Jason groaned. He couldn't help but to mouth a silent "Gooooooo" to the boy.

[Citadel: Lower Wards]

“So you want to go to Imperial Space looking for a temple that may not even exist anymore?” Musashi raised an eyebrow.

Chloe's eyes lit up "Ooooh, space trip to a hidden possibly existent temple? Sounds exciting!"

[Citadel: Coffee Shop]

Moira groaned at Sarai's answer. Either this girl was clueless, or she was lying. Her natural instinct was to assume the latter, but Connor seemed convinced she was on the level. Moira mumbled something to herself, crossing her arms.

“... What you just described is organized crime, arms smuggling and human trafficking.” Moira stated rather bluntly.

“So her family's not the best, can we really judge?” Connor wasn't sure why he was defending Sarai. He barely knew her... but he felt like she was genuinely a good person.

Moira sighed, running her hand through her hair. “... Look, the point is, this girl is bad news. Normally I'd say we shouldn't get involved, but it's too late for that now...”

[Citadel: Lower Wards]

“The Jedi had means to locate force-sensitive individuals back in the day, even across the galaxy.” Kanan explained. “If the temple is still intact, we could use that to locate their father... but I'm sorry, I'm a little confused... how do you three factor into this?”

Musashi shrugged. “Chloe and I are freelancers. Bounty hunting, mercenary work, pretty much whatever... Shiori's an old friend... but...”

He bit his lip, fully expecting Chloe wouldn't approve of the next words out of his mouth. “If you guys are going after a Jedi temple... I'm willing to keep helping out, no charge.”

Kanan raised an eyebrow. “Why?”

“I always wanted to see a Jedi temple.” Musashi rubbed his neck, awkwardly. “... I used to hear stories about the Jedi. Not exactly the kind of thing you see every day, you know?”

[Citadel: Kaiju Corp HQ/TARDIS]

“Probably.” Nanami agreed blankly as she crossed her arms and leaned against the side of the TARDIS. She wasn't in the best of moods, but it was nice to be in a place she knew instead of in the belly of an Imperial Star Destroyer. At least here no one was going to try to kill her.

She sighed, grabbing Marco by the arm and pulling him a bit away from the TARDIS when he whispered to her.

“I don't even know where to begin with 'what's happening', but... I don't think it's an immediate danger. Although...”

She hesitated. Something about that 'Doctor' didn't sit right with her. There was more to him than just some weird British man, and not just because of the impressive tech. She couldn't put her finger on it, but just like with recognizing some importance about C, she could tell there was more to this man than she imagined.

“... Anyway, the box isn't for you. Just my ride back here. Something weird is definitely going on, though... I was just in Imperial Space, aboard a Star Destroyer, in fact.”

The Doctor was still searching for an answer about helping the Alliance – something apparently important enough to risk space-time for a convenient phone call (it was at least nice to know he wouldn't lose his flail for the overly dramatic gesture in the future); when C approached.

The Doctor frowned for a moment. “... I don't know if a border colony will keep you safe. I owe you an apology. The Empire was already after you, but now that they have footage of you on that Star Destroyer and traveling with me...”

He cleared his throat. “I wouldn't be surprised if the bounty on you just increased. Sorry.”

It was awkward news to break. “That said, maybe I can help you some more.”

[Citadel: Civilian Docks]

“I have no idea,” Kagura answered Alita, shaking her head. “Bunch of mercs went nutso. One of them was a Krogan, with less intelligence than their known for. Tried to kill us all, ended up blowing himself to bits.”

“... What you just described is organized crime, arms smuggling and human trafficking.”

Sarai felt like an idiot...An idiot who was about to get herself and her new friends (well Connor was her friend she thought...His sister..Well the jury was still out on her) killed.

“... Look, the point is, this girl is bad news. Normally I'd say we shouldn't get involved, but it's too late for that now...”

"I don't wan't to be a bad person...But I guess I am." Sarai said quietly "I do what my dad tells me to...But I don't think I want to, not anymore. But you don't have to help me, I can leave and figure something else out."

Sarai gave a small sigh but eyed the strange gloves again. "What are those?" she asked quietly

[Citadel: Lower Wards]

“If you guys are going after a Jedi temple... I'm willing to keep helping out, no charge.”

"What." If looks could kill Musashi would be dead on the floor. She then looked back at the others "This idiot doesn't speak for us, and since when do you want to go play tourist at a Jedi temple? We need MONEY not fun vacation memories you dummy!"

“You're not a bad person! You stopped... you could have just done what he wanted, heck you could have just shot me, but you didn't!” Connor pointed out with a frown. “I'm going to help you.”

He added that last part with a glance at his older sister, essentially telling her that he was already committed to this, even if she wanted to bail out.

Moira's eyebrow went a little higher on her forehead, but she decided not to dwell on that statement. She sighed, and then paused when Sarai asked about her gloves.

“They're a weapon.” Connor sighed. “One you can't use, Moira. You almost didn't make it last time... you promised-”

“None of us are going to make it if somebody decides to put a bullet in our brains.” Moira cut him off. “That guy – her dad – he had a gun, Connor. He threatened to use it. And people like him always have more than one. I'm not going looking for a fight, but if someone attacks us, I'll do what I have to.”

[Citadel: Lower Wards]

“Chloe relax!” Musashi groaned, immediately returning to her side. “Look, they need our help... besides, I'm sure Kanan wouldn't mind if we took a couple of old Jedi trinkets for our troubles? Stuff like that can fetch a nice price on the black market.”

“Kanan would absolutely mind if you did that.” Kanan corrected him firmly.

“Nothing dangerous! And we wouldn't sell them to Imperials!” Musashi protested, now caught between an unhappy partner with super strength and a Jedi.

GRAPPLING HOOK!

Chloe was quiet for a moment, before relenting.

"Jewelry. I want jewelry. And one really kickass weapon if we find one. Maybe something bomb-related. Or one of those really cool saber thinggies. Something I can put above my bed as a trophy."

She looked to Kanan "We got a deal? Oh and you buy the next round of drinks. Since now we're HELLA broke thanks to this dumbass"

[Citadel: Coffee Shop]

Sarai was almost afraid to ask but she did... "What do they do to you?"

The better question was probably what did they do to other people when she used them. It was probably 10 times worse than what they did to her.

“None of you are getting a lightsaber.” Kanan stated bluntly. “These are sacred weapons to my order. You don't just get one. That said... fine, I'll let you have something.”

Musashi grinned. “Great! Then we're in.”

“... You remember when I healed you back at the base?” Connor shuffled his feet. “Moira can do that too. We got it from our mom... but those gloves... they reverse it. The healing repairs any damage, takes away pain... but with those gloves on it causes pain, and it causes injury...”

Connor was clearly unhappy saying that. He hated the concept of it. “... Our power isn't meant to be use that way, and when we use those gloves... it hurts us. Last time Moira used them she almost died.”

At Kanan's revelations, and then Musashi commenting about coming along, Shiori frowned.

"...I will be coming along," she announced soon after Musashi did, not offering up any reason.

"You should have listened to your partner, originally." she then added, looking up to Musashi. If she could keep him from going on this trip, things definitely would be safer for him, for now. It also maybe could mean she didn't have to tell him that information yet, at least until she had a better confirmation if it was actually true or not.

But she also knew Musashi and his stubbornness. She had to try, though.

"You could have at least pretended to disagree with the likelihood of you shooting me..." Marco protested, at least until she mentioned the Empire, and just being on an imperial ship.

At that moment, he simply and suddenly hugged Nanami. It was an outrageous story, but Nanami was the least likely person Marco knew to lie about something like that.

"Glad you made it back," Marco's voice was back to being completely serious as he spoke, before he let go of the hug, and turned back to the TARDIS.

At which point he slowly took a step into the TARDIS, taking note of any possible unusual feelings, since whatever was inside definitely was something that would not 'make sense' with the exterior of the box being so small. He then hello to its occupants once again.

"So heeeeeeeeey. Suit guy, I love the suit," he then gave the Doctor a thumbs up, "You also look like the one in charge in here, so... What's the deal with you parking your extradimensional warping device in the middle of my office here? Especially after detouring in the Empire and picking up bounties, apparently?"
