The Crazy One

March 5th, 2015 was the day the world changed. The day time was rewritten. The day that the aliens arrived. In an instant, mysterious spaceships appeared all across the world, flying above cities and towns - always large, and always near bodies of water. When the ships dropped the odd yellow crystals into the water, thick clouds of golden mist spread across the cities. Many of those who were exposed died in an instant - their skin becoming like stone and crumbling into dust. Those who survived were changed. Their DNA had been altered - and incredible, dangerous and unfathomable powers bestowed onto them. No one knows what being is responsible for the event now called "Terragenesis". Yet those who were changed - now called Metahumans - have become a subject of great debate and uncertainty. Some look to them with fear, others view them with hope. Yet no one was prepared for what would happen in 2025. No one could have foreseen that an even greater change than Terragenesis was about to happen to the world. ![]() [London: Diplomatic Building] “We’re all ready, mum.” A blonde woman in a heavy black coat saluted the soldiers stations at the gate as she and her companion walked into the high-security area. Kate Stewart was the head of the Strategic Science Division of SHIELD; but much to her chagrin she was also the ranking officer present in London this morning, and that meant her focus was on a subject where science and logic was useless. Politics. “Have the representatives arrived yet?” Kate asked the SHIELD agent who accompanied her through the twisting hallways. “The representative of Alexandria has, yes. We’re still waiting on the Latvarian Ambassador.” Kate sighed. “Of course we are. The Latvarians want to force this to be on their timetable. Assert their power right away. God, this is why I hate politicians. Always have to ruffle their feathers and make a big show of everything instead of just getting things done.” A week earlier and the Central European country Latvaria had announced to the world it was annexing its neighbor, Alexandria. They had given one month for Alexandria to stand down and dismantle its political and military organizations and pledge their “Life, loyalty and souls” to Victor von Doom, under the threat of executing anyone and everyone who didn’t. SHIELD was desperately trying to stop war from breaking out – or that’s what Fury said, anyway. Kate herself wondered how anything this one-sided could be called a “war”. [New York: SHIELD Regional Field Office] “I understand that the situation in London is his top priority, but I need to talk to Director Fury… Look, this is about the First Sons! … What? Alright, fine, just have him call me back!” Skye sighed as she slammed the phone down on her desk and began to massage the temples of her forehead. It had been a very long day, and she was tired and just wanted to go home – but that wasn’t about to happen. She leaned back in her chair and brooded. She might have finally gotten a lead on the enigmatic group that SHIELD had heard a few rumors of, and now she couldn’t find Fury. It was starting to drive her crazy. [San Francisco: Streets] In the distance, a siren howled through the darkened streets of San Francisco. A city so large never truly slept, in the depths of night something unusual was stirring. Two men dressed all in black were wandering down a back alley, one of them holding a small crystal talisman in his hand. “You sure that thing is working, brother?” One of the men asked. “Do you doubt our master?” The other replied, and the first man fell silent. They turned the corner into the alleyway and suddenly the talisman began to glow with a faint, red shimmer. It shook in the man’s hand and his eyes widened – and as they searched the alley, the two men came to a sudden stop when they noticed the woman. She was sitting with her knees hugged to her chest and a dark blue cloak surrounding her body and covering her head with matching hood. She slowly rocked back and forth, and she was chanting something over and over again. “Azarath, Metrion, Zinthos… Azarath, Metrion, Zinthos…” “That’s her.” One of the men said, and he started forward. The woman stopped speaking and she became still. A faint, whispery voice spoke from under her hood. “… Go away… just leave me alone…” “Can’t do that. Our master has spent a long time looking for you, Miss. Roth.” Suddenly the alley became colder. What little light had been visible from the street lamps beyond the alley was gone in an instant. The only light came from the talisman. “You idiots! You have no idea what you serve, do you? He is only using you. You threw away your souls when you followed him, and now you bring that here? Leave before you throw away your lives too!” The woman growled, barely restraining the anger in her voice. The amulet in the man’s hand began to glow even brighter – and then from beneath the woman’s hood, four glowing scarlet eyes opened. [???] Just beyond the Earth’s atmosphere, an old, 60’s style wooden police box was floating absently in space. The door to the box was open, and a man with a sharp face and gray hair was staring out of the door, his eyes looking at beaming blue marble that was Earth. “… I worry ten years isn’t enough; this is the planet of pudding brains, after all. Though – that’s enough reason for me to do this, now, isn’t it? They’ll just muck it all up if I stay away for too long.” The man turned over his shoulder, as if expecting a reply – and then his sour faced curved into a frown. He had forgotten that he was alone. It was odd, for a man who had felt alone for centuries, he never quite got used to it. “… Bah, one bright spot about coming back to Earth… I always seem to find at least a couple of humans worth having around. Maybe they’re not all pudding brains…” |

London: Diplomatic Building "So riddle me this, Topaz. Who puts a SCIENTIST in charge of a POLITICAL summit?" "...an agency that accuses you of telling ghost stories?" "...yes. Thank you for reminding me." "It's what I'm here for." "I suppose it's a good thing we're here for this, but...let's be honest. History is my witness that European conferences always fail. I mean, good gosh, the last time a Brit sat down with a dictator, Neville Chamberlain declared "peace in our time"." "You're just being too negative. Look on the bright side. It's not the British who are SITTING DOWN with the madman, it's the madman's intended VICTIMS." Didymus and Topaz stood at their post, chatting to pass the time in an otherwise boring watch, Didymus chuckling at his partner's latest comment. "But in all seriousness, hopefully this goes well." Didymus remarked. "Yeah...and you don't give us enough credit. Anyone Fury would trust with this has to be as stubborn and direct as he is. I don't think we have another Chamberlain situation on our hands." They chuckled again. "Still...they say that Alexandria's princess herself is attending in an actual diplomatic fashion. Imagine that, someone with such a title actually doing something in this day and age. I'm not sure if this is a sign the past isn't dead, or if it a sign it truly IS after all." Didymus remarked. Topaz grinned. "Why?" she asked. "Does the thought of a WOMAN being able to do something disgust you? Or are you SMITTEN? Either way, now I'm nervous." "...that was underhanded." Didymus said. "Oh, relax, I know you probably WANT something to happen so you can charge in and rescue her. You may want to get that white horse pulling that old-timey carriage over there to complete the effect." Topaz pressed. "So see? It's good we're in London after all. White horses are in plentiful supply. You can probably find some armor around here too, if you look...complete that whole "Knight and Princess" thing." "That would be freaking awesome, actually..." Didymus said. "...well, apart from the fact it would mean a lot of people would be hurt or die." "And you have no idea how to ride a horse." "AND I have no idea how to ride a horse. Way to shatter my dreams." "It's what I'm here for." San Francisco A man in a hood made his way slowly through the streets. Something was unfolding in this city... |

New York City -The Sewers- Michelangelo was skating along the sewers, a duffel bag on his shell, filled with everything he would need soon. Today was going to be his first superhero team up, with the notorious Spider Duo, or whatever they were called. He had met them one night, and after some kind of hilarious misadventure, had become something of allies. And tonight, he was going on patrol with them. He stopped by a grate, unzipping the duffel bag and starting to change into Turtle Titan... -Streets- Not to far from the sewer grates, a teenager in red and blue spandex hung from a web outside down, waiting patiently. Spider-Man looked around. It looked like it might be a slow night... Probably not much luck in that. London -Diplomatic Building- “Riding horses isn't all it's cracked up to be. Besides, you can outrun horses in a long enough run,” a voice said, another S.H.I.E.L.D. agent walking up to Didymus and Topaz. Edda grinned a moment, nodding to the two. “Just did a quick run through, everything seems quiet,” Edda said, looking a little worried. He didn't trust the quiet. San Francisco -Streets- “Did you...” “Hear something?” Two teenage boys frowned, looking around. They had come to San Francisco to visit a friend of their's, but had gotten a little lost exploring around... Ben and Billy glanced towards each other, then hurried down the streets. Something was buzzing in the back of Billy's head... something... dark, but magical was happening... Edited by AGodofIrony, Mar 5 2015, 07:19 PM.

San Francisco Uncle's Rare Finds "Jaaaaaackie! This is not fair! In fact i'm 100% it's unjust imprisonment!" From the other side of the door an exasperated Jackie Chan spoke. "You used the rooster to give motion to a giant billboard cutout of the Sumo Smashers movie, which almost flattened half of Chinatown!" "Yeah but I said I was sorry! And anyways we handled it! Like champs if I do say so myself! We should be celebrating-" "No celebrating. I have to go convince Captain Black to cover the cleanup bill for the city...If not it's coming out of your allowance..." The teenage girl on the other side, Jade Chan, gave a loud (and slightly over exaggerated) groan, leaning back on her bed. "Can we at least postpone my grounding until tomorrow! I'm expecting guests!" When she didn't hear Jackie on the other side of the door she gave another loud groan, assuming he was gone. This was totally unjust....Of course she COULD just leave, but ditching a punishment five minutes in would kinda be a jerk move. Not to mention Jackie would probably get so mad he;d ship her back to China! San Francisco University A thirteen-year old Japanese boy sat awkwardly in a chair in front of several men and women in business suits. He felt extremely awkward and slightly under dressed...Not that they cared about his cargo shorts and t-shirts....All they cared about was his brain...Or what was inside of it. His Aunt Cass assured him that certified genius or not she loved him, but Hiro Hamada felt a need to impress these people with his brain power. He wanted to make his aunt proud, as well as his brother who would have given anything to see him sitting awkwardly in front of a panel from MENSA..... "Mister Hamada, we had a chance to look at your tests and the results were very interesting." One woman started, pushing her glassed up on her nose a bit. "Ummm...Good interesting or bad?" Hiro couldn't help but asked, shifting uncomfortably. There was a pause and she smiled "Good. Very good in fact. You tested higher than 98% of MENSA applicants in robotics and engineering. 89% higher in advanced mathematics and 84% higher in chemistry....A very impressive all around test" Hiro let out a little breath "Uh...T-Thanks. So does that make me-" "A genius in the area of robotics, yes. Congratulations Mister Hamada. Your family will be very proud" New York City Apartment A young woman lied in bed, buried under a massive duvet and snoring slightly. It had been a long night of good parties and god booze, which probably factored into a few bad decisions....One of while led her to this bed. The woman, who went by the name of Kanna, gave a yawn, blue eyes opening slowly and looking around the room. It took her a few seconds to remember why she was here but when she did she hopped out of bed and got to work. Getting dressed was job one. She moved around the room finding her skirt from the night before, as well as what seemed to be her date's button-up. She shimmied into the clothes, while also slipping her heels on from the previous night and tying her dark hair up in a messy knot. As a finishing touch she rummaged around and found her purse, applying some lipstick and mascara. Kanna then went to the door, listening carefully....She heard a bit of humming and some sizzling- oh god....Was he cooking her breakfast? How lame was that. Well she supposed she deserved some eggs after that pretty pathetic display of manliness last night...Not aggressive at all. Like a Chihuahua in bed. No..She deserved more than eggs...Bacon...Maybe some pancakes too- Not that she had time for breakfast. She looked around, a grin coming to her face when she noticed his pants on the floor. Instantly she was rummaging through them, finding a rather fat wallet in the back pocket. "Cash...Credit...Another credit...Oh platinum card" She mumbled to herself, stuffing the contents of the wallet into her own bag. She then supposed it was time to leave...She eyed the window and pulled it open. They were at least ten stories up, but she had escaped from higher. Climbing through she grabbed the rails of the fire escape ladder and jumped, sliding towards the ground! London Diplomatic Building Most people took offense to being referred to as 'the muscle' but the young woman standing guard outside the building didn't really mind the label...Though she preferred security personnel...Sounded like SHIELD was paying her more than they did....Either way Chloe was in charge of smashing heads if anything got out of hand today...But in all truth why would it? It was just a bunch of eggheads and upper-management talking or something.... Either way Chloe did as she was told, standing at the door and trying to look intimidating. Of course that was easier said than done, the Hispanic girl was all of 5'5 and maybe 120 pounds...But she could break the neck of someone twice her size and beat another guy with the dead body of the first. [San Francisco] [Streets] A scream echoed throughout the streets. It was one of the cultists, who was howling in abject terror. The cultist was down on his knees, screaming as a shadow sprang up from the ground and wrapped itself around his face, showing him visions of absolute horror – his worst fears and greatest shames replaying before his eyes. The second cultist was standing a few feet away, frozen in horror as he watched. [London] [Diplomatic Building] “I can’t believe this, Chloe! We finally get an assignment someplace cool and we end up playing guard duty to a bunch of politicians. I hate politicians.” A young Japanese man with spikey hair walked over and came to lean against the wall beside Chloe. He gave a deep sigh, crossing his arms and rolling his eyes as he looked over at the girl beside him. Musashi had always loathed politicians. Reminded him entirely too much of his family. […] “You there!” A tall woman with flowing brown hair covering one of her eyes appeared from around the corner. She was wearing a militaristic uniform, and quickly approached Didymus, Edda and Topaz. “I am General Beatrix of Alexandria.” She quickly introduced herself, staring at the three with her one visible eye narrowed. “I have concerns over the appalling lack of security at this conference.” [New York] [Streets] “Wow. A sewer grate. You sure know how to impress a girl, Pete.” A woman in black and white spandex, with a hood covering her masked face, came crawling down the side of a building – her hands sticking to it easily. She smirked beneath the mask as she waited. […] A young man in a black long-sleeved shirt and matching pants, beneath a long navy blue trench coat, was walking down the side of the road. He whistled a bit, wearing heavy sunglasses as he rounded a corner. Rica knew that he needed to be back at SHIELD. It was only a matter of time until someone needed him to do something – but he had a side deal to take care of first. |

London: Diplomatic Building Didymus shook his head. "Only on a very, very, VERY long "run"." he said. "Besides, have you SEEN my runtimes on the fitness test? I'm more of a mighty glacier." "Are you? I thought we had someone here to handle that..." Topaz said, her voice suddenly losing some of its bantering tone. "Don't get me started." Didymus said. "Suffice to say, we all know that we mere humans are here as cannon fodder alone, while any METAS along with the team are REALLY who they trust in...we're just here for show, and to die to let the "real" heroes know how high the stakes are." "If I didn't know better, I'd say you're not satisfied with your job." Topaz remarked. "Just a hunch." "Heh, maybe not." Didymus grinned. "Still, we're here to protect people from evil..."metas"..." Topaz added. "You know that." "Yeah..." Didymus remarked. "...but I think things could be better. Whether it be an undervaluing of its actual "boring ordinary" members or red tape...bah, listen to me, griping while on duty." "It's okay." Topaz added. "It's not like we have anything better to do. Except make sure a war doesn't break out." Didymus chuckled again. Then Beatrix appeared. Didymus and Topaz saluted, as was the custom to salute senior officers of allied nations. "I apologize, ma'am, but you can probably speak with Doctor Stewart inside, just let us check your ID, please." he said. Had to keep it cool... San Francisco Streets A scream! The hooded man turned in its direction, and began sprinting, clutching an item in his hand...and turned into the alley, and saw what was happening. "Deus mea, audi clamorem meum!" he shouted in a loud voice, and striking out! From the top of the cross, an iron chain whip shot out, carrying the spiked tip into the shadows connecting Raven to the cultist! "Nam propter nomen tuum!" he shouted again, drawing the "whip" back as a blaze of light shown from it! Edited by The Vidit of Light, Mar 5 2015, 09:12 PM.

New York City -Streets- “Hey, you knew this job could get dirty when you signed up,” Peter smirked towards Gwen beneath his mask, “Besides, it's always nice to have someone else helping.” Some grating moved, and a green and a red figure appeared, clambering up and grinning. “Never fear, Turtle Titan is here!” Michelangelo said, striking a pose. San Francisco -Streets- Ben and Billy turned a corner, coming to a stop when they saw a strange scene. People on the ground, Raven in the air with shadows around her... and some guy with a whip attacking the shadows. “...Okay, what's going on?” Billy wondered, glancing towards Ben. Ben shrugged, activating his Omnitrix. “Not sure what, but I think it's hero time!” Ben said, slamming his hand down and changing in a flash of light. “Oh yah, now I'm ready to lay down some smack,” Ben said, now transformed into Fourarms! “But who?” Billy wondered, not sure if they could interfere. “Uhhhh...” Ben said, trailing off. Good question. London -Diplomatic Building- “You know I regularly spar with one of those metas, right?” Edda said idly to Didymus, “And I win some too.” He grinned a little, then went to attention when Beatrix appeared, sketching a salute. Edda was an agent, but much more lax in this kind of stuff then Didymus and Topaz were. “Ma'am, if you're not spotting the security, then we're doing our job,” Edda said, “If someone wants to try something, we'll be all over them.” Los Angeles -Gallic Enterprises HQ- Gallic sat at his desk, burning the midnight oil, working on reports, status updates, and the like needed to keep his company running. He didn't leave the office except for functions, or when he decided to splurge and get something to eat not in the company cafeteria. Gallic was an odd CEO. He lived in office, a room right by his office which contained a small living area, specially made when the building was built. Sometimes he would leave at night, dressed down in sweats and torn clothes, and remind himself why he did what he did... |

New York City -Streets- It was another day of bustle in New York. The streets were full of people that needed to get somewhere, anywhere, as quickly as they could possibly get there. In all the hustle and bustle, it was easy to lose sight or not pay attention to a single man. That's what one man counted on. A figure in a pure-black outfit and wearing black shades passed through the crowd expertly, like a ghost flitting through the shadows of an old and familiar home, evading every stranger and passerby that were hurrying on to their own destinations. Passing a corner, he briefly shadowed by a man in a blue trenchcoat, passed by a few street signs, all with the singular goal of getting to where HE needed to go. The regional SHIELD office. -SHIELD Regional Field Office- The man briefly stopped in front of the building, surveying the entrance for a moment before heading inside with that same single-minded focus. He passed by an armed security guard without any preamble, heading to the front desk and the receptionist that sat behind it. Wasting no time, he spoke just as he made the final step up to the desk. "I am here to see Mr. Yamaki." That immediately got the attention, a rather lazy-looking youth who looked like he'd rather be anywhere but sitting behind this desk. He scrutinized the new arrival, before looking down at his computer screen, bringing up the day's schedule to confirm that it really was true. "And what would your business be with Mr. Yamaki, sir?" The man in black answered promptly and sharply. "That is none of your concern. This is a private meeting with Mr. Yamaki, and should have been registered as such." "Hmm." The youth hummed non-committally, before checking a few more things, and picking up a phone, typing in a number and waiting for a ring... |

[London] [Diplomatic Conference] Beatrix’s one visible eye narrowed at Edda’s comment, and as she reached down to extract her ID from her bag and hand it to Topaz, she glanced over at him. Her credentials were in order, and a quick check of the SHIELD Database pertaining to ‘known personnel’ at this summit would show her as Alexandria’s top general. “It’s easy to think your security is good enough when you’re not the one standing on the front lines. The US and UK don’t have to live with the constant fear of an insane tyrant next door with the resources to crush your nation into dust if he feels like it. You dismiss Victor von Doom as just another crackpot dictator in a long line who makes boastful claims he could never back up… and it’s my people who will die for it. So spare me your overconfident claims, Agent.” [New York] [Streets] “… Do you always have to do that?” Gwen asked as she spotted Michelangelo. She could swear that the turtle was even more into this ‘hero’ business than Peter. Still, for all her griping she had come to truly enjoy these nightly escapades. “Okay boys, what’s on the agenda for tonight?” Gwen asked. “I did bring along a police scanner if we need it.” She’d just have to get it home again before her father returned from work. [SHIELD Regional Field Office] In one of the private offices on the top floor, a most unusual man sat back in his chair. He clicked a lighter absently in his hand, but no matter how many times he spun it, no flame ever burst to life. Then his phone rang. Yamaki sighed, and slowly picked it up. “Yamaki.” He stated bluntly. When the receptionist filled him in on the surprise visitor, Yamaki quickly pulled up the security camera located just behind the receptionist desk. Then he smirked. “… Tell him to wait there for me.” A few minutes later and Yamaki, his suit impeccable and sunglasses worn even indoors, stepped off the elevator and passed the armed guards as he approached the man waiting at reception. “Good. You made it. Come on, it’s almost my break time and there’s a coffee shop around the corner I’ve been dying to try. We’ll talk there.” Yamaki motioned, as he headed towards the door. This was a conversation best held away from prying ears. [San Francisco] [Dark Alleyway] The iron chain slashed into the shadows, and the whip cut through them. The stands of shadows seemed to burn away for a moment as the cultist fell to the ground and began to shake uncontrollably on the ground. Raven backed up and let out a deep, visceral howl. A dark energy as radiating from her body, and beneath her hood the four, crimson eyes were burning with rage. “Nooooo! You fool… stop it!” Raven growled in an unearthly voice. The second cultist was back on his feet. His eyes widened as he watched Ben transform into a massive four-armed beast with red skin. He reached beneath his jacket and withdrew a curved dagger, which began to PULSATE with a burning red energy. |

[New York] [SHIELD Regional Field Office] The man in black quickly glanced around the moment Yamaki stepped out to meet him, glancing at both the security measures around the building and the guards, before stoically matching pace with the man he came here to see, falling right into step with the ease and practice of extended training. "The professor was under the impression that this meeting would be held under maximal security. Is there a particular reason to choose a public place for a meeting of what I have been informed are delicate and confidential matters?" The man's voice was blank as talked, free of any inflection. It was almost robotic, despite the fact that the speaker was indeed human, a rather unsettling mix with his entirely black garb. |

[New York] [SHIELD Regional Field Office] Yamaki led the man outside, heading down the sidewalk until they had rounded the corner. Once they were far enough away, Yamaki stopped and turned to look back at the man. “We’re not actually going to a coffee shop.” Yamaki stated bluntly. “However, this discussion is one I don’t want monitored by my superiors. Call me overcautious, but I want to keep a tight lid on things.” He led him down a small corner, where a black van was waiting. Yamaki unlocked the back and climbed inside. Despite seeming like a normal van, it was filled with high-tech equipment. “Get in. Shut the door. There’s a jamming field, so our conversation can’t be monitored.” |

I'll bite your legs off!

London: Diplomatic Building Topaz ran Beatrix's ID through the system, and waved her through. She saluted again, and Didymus, seeing that Beatrix was clearly approved, did the same. "Please go right on in, ma'am." Topaz said. "I'm sure they can help you inside." Didymus wondered briefly if she'd try to get one of them to come with her, but he and Topaz had this post to man... ...he also wondered what the heck Edda was thinking mouthing off like that. Sure, he wanted to deliever some comment HIMSELF about Beatrix's little speech. Heh, if THIS is what they're all like maybe I don't want to meet the princess after all... San Francisco The hooded man looked back and forth between the threats that had presented themselves... ...but the...creature...with the four eyes seemed to be the most threatening. Still, that knife... "Deus mea, audi clamorem meum!" he shouted again, as suddenly a flash of light shot out from him (if it didn't hurt or drive whatever that four-eyed manifestation was back a bit, he hoped it would at least buy him time), and his whip shot out-trying to disarm the cultist with the knife! The four-armed creature was concerning, but he didn't think it was quite the same as his other two concerns... |

[New York] [SHIELD Regional Field Office] The man in black paused, surveying the area first before he climbed into the van. He was used to doing dangerous things, but he wasn't a fool, and he knew when to look for a possible trap. He was, after all, working for quite a secretive organization, it wouldn't do to be captured. Again. It was quite an inconvenience when that happened. Making sure to memorize the area and to identify some of the mentioned jamming equipment by sight, the man climbed after his guide into the van and closed the doors behind him. Since the man he was going to speak to said he provided his own jammer, he didn't bother to set up the one given to him at the moment, and simply sat across from Yamaki, getting right down to business in that same, monotonous voice. "The professor was intrigued by your attempt at contacting Nova Labs, Mr. Yamaki. I have been dispatched to act with full authority in his stead, and will do so in accordance to his wishes. However, if you will require to speak to the Professor, I can establish a connection whenever it is required. Will that be necessary?" |

[San Francisco: Streets] The cultist moved to the side, narrowly avoiding the whip as it slashed into the wall where he had been standing. His eyes narrowed as he stared out at the hooded man. “… This was unforeseen. Be gone, light-bringer! This is of no concern of yours!” The cultist roared out. [New York: Yamaki’s Van] “I would prefer to talk to him, but I assume he would not send you if you weren’t capable of having this discussion.” Yamaki said simply. He didn’t know if it would be necessary to actually talk to the enigmatic Desty Nova personally or not. He just sat back and watched the man in front of him for a moment. “I don’t believe I got your name.” |

[New York] [Yamaki's Van] The man in black nodded curtly. "You have not. I am Jagan Nova, primary executor of the professor's external forces and operations. As previously explained, I have full authority to act in the professor's stead." The man in black never relaxed his pose, sitting straight as an arrow, almost painfully rigid as he brought up one arm and clicked the side of his watch, bringing up a holographic screen projected from said watch. Manipulating a few things on the brought up screen, he closed it after a few moments before switching his attention to Yamaki. "It would be prudent to get right down to business. There must be a reason why you have contacted Nova Labs, and due to the contacts you have used it must be a discreet inquiry. The professor is most intrigued as to why. Would you care to elaborate?"
