I'll bite your legs off!

Gondor/Avalon border Didymus could not say he was particularly pleased by the goings-on around him. You think you know shadow better than these Thalmor? he thought. As the spearmen advanced, he steped forward, and, sword glowing, shined through some of the shadow. One of the spearmen lunged at him; he deflected the blow with his own sword, and slid it forward so that the hilt smashed into the spearman's face. The next one tried to smash him with the pole of his spear, he grabbed it and thrust it sideways, into a third, knocking him over, before pommel-striking the second! He had a sword, these Thalmor had spears; in close-quarters he had the advantage...and he was a veteran. This was not the first, nor, he suspected, the last Thalmor ambush he would be hit by-and it showed. His footing, his moves, his blows, parries, they were the signs of the guidance upon a Paladin, and, perhaps, combined with the signs of an experienced soldier who had served in battles like this before... ...when the three spearmen were down, he charged at the ringleader, hoping to seize him and force his unit to back off... |

[Gondor/Avalon Border] “Shadows? Hahahahahahah! A pale imitation of true Darkness. You shall only serve to see yourself destroyed!” However, before the Thalmor Mage could try to make good on his threat, Didymus sprang into action and quickly neutralized several of the spearmen. The Thalmor Mage quickly backed up, and when Didymus charged at him he held up his hand and two of the archers fired directly for Didymus. The Thalmor Mage used the opportunity to jump back. He shouted in Elvish, and suddenly the very grass on the ground started to grow, and then tried to grab Blake and Didymus around their ankles to hold them in place! [Ankh-Morpork] Nanami watched as Chase fled and she cursed. She hated the idea that he had escaped… another Dragonborn was a serious issue, and one she would have to be mindful of. Still, for the moment, it seemed like things had settled down for the moment. Nanami holstered her sword, and turned to Jimi and Hammah. “Thank you for your help.” […] The electricity smashed into the terrible creature and it roared and stumbled back. It fell onto its knees and roared loudly – and then it’s hands burst into flames, and it tried to throw a massive fireball at Galv! Rica, meanwhile, just chuckled. “You’re trying to buy time for your children. I’m not a fool.” Rica stated. “But you’re only delaying the inevitable. You cannot win… and the more you resist me, the more you will suffer for it later.” |

I can't see what you're imagining
|
-Gondor/Avalon Border- The vines suddenly began to grow around Blake, the red head frowning, closing his eyes and focusing. He seemed to dissolve into shadow, moving away from the vines, appearing by one of the spearmen. He slammed his hand forward, faster then his size might denote, shadows creeping from him, covering the spearman, suffocating him before releasing him. It didn't kill him, but he'd be out and would wake with a splitting headache later. Blake then turned to the Mage, narrowing his eyes. “Perhaps they are an imitation of Darkness, but they exist and grow stronger the brighter the Light, while Darkness simply disappears,” Blake responded. -Ankh-Morpork- “Hey, no problem,” Jimi said with a shrug, “I'm sure if we had been fighting some super evil person, you'd have helped us too.” “So about that potion...” Hammah started. Jimi punched him in the arm and Hammah frowned, going quiet. “I have fulfilled my mission for now...” Zadkiel said, wincing slightly as he stepped forward, holding his side, “I must be off myself...” Galv held up his hands, creating a brief shield of electrical energy, blocking the giant fireball. “Unfortunately I have a lot of experience dealing with a fire user who wanted to kill me...” Galv said, frowning a little, “And it doesn't matter what I go through, as long as my children are safe...” He was starting to breathe a little heavy though, sweat forming. He wasn't as young as he use to be, after all... Soon at Sage and Joyce's, the door opened back up, Sage entering. “Alright, I got us a wagon, big enough for everyone. We'll head out, stop at an inn for the night somewhere on the road. Supplies and everything else have been packed, but we'll have to get more stuff later on the road or another city,” Sage explained, “I packed enough coin for everything too...” Kyran smiled, “Good! Let's get going then!” |

[Gondor/Avalon Border] “You betray your ignorance human.” The Thalmor Mage spat. “The Darkness will never truly disappear… and when the time comes, it shall consume the light and all living things.” The Mage held up his hands, and sent a chain of lightning at Blake! It was, however, a strange red color and seemed to radiate a black aura! [Ankh-Morpork] Nanami nodded to Zadkiel. She wondered who exactly he was, but decided not to worry about it right now. Instead she turned her attention to Jimi and Hammah. “... The Dark Brotherhood was involved in all of this, of that I’m sure. I’m going to go have a chat with their leader. I’d suggest you lay low, and pretend you don’t know me. Things are about to get messy.” […] Rica chuckled as he watched. “What’s the matter, boy? Are your knees aching? Does your back hurt? Your age betrays you, boy… not that I ever have that problem. I have lived far longer than you can imagine; perhaps longer even than that father of yours. And I will continue on long after you’re gone.” Rica waved his hand, and suddenly the monster charged at Galv! It tried to tackle him! […] Musashi climbed into the cart, next to Kyran of course, and leaned back. It felt a bit weird traveling with this family, but he had to help them. |

-Gondor/Avalon Border- Blake held up his arms as the lightning came at him, taking the blast, gritting his teeth. Blake's shadows seemed to grow stronger from the attack, suddenly racing along that ground, raising above and striking at the Thalmor Mage! -Ankh-Morpork- “Oh, heck no, we're coming along,” Jimi said, stepping forward, “I've heard of the Dark Brotherhood before...If I can help you take them down, then I'm coming.” “I think I'll come along too...I got to keep an eye on my older brother, and besides, assassins like those are bad for business,” Hammah added. Galv glared, suddenly finding the monster tackling him. He braced himself, the monster hitting him and throwing him backwards, slamming hard against the cobble road. “Doesn't...matter...” Galv said, picking himself back up, “I...have something to fight for. You...you're just an egotistic, shallow husk of a human being...You don't have anyone to fight for...no one you actually care about...” Kyran settled next to Musashi on the cart, leaning her head against his shoulder, yawning slightly. The excess use of her powers lately were catching up to her. Once everyone was inside, Sage climbed on top of the cart, starting off... |

[Gondor/Avalon Border] The shadows struck at the Thalmor Mage; but he seemed to disappear as they came down at him! All that remained was a puff of gray smoke! “Ha ha ha… not bad, for a human,” The Thalmor Mage was now in the trees, hiding among the branches. He spat the word ‘human’ with a terrible venom in his voice. “But you cannot defeat the Thalmor! We are the true masters of this continent! We are the chosen people! We are the ones who will rule over all others!” Suddenly, the tree tops started to shake, and balls of fire fall down towards Blake, Didymus and Garnet! [Ankh-Morpork] Nanami sighed. She didn’t like the idea of bringing these two along… although they HAD helped her kill Maghda, and that was something she would forever be grateful for. “… Very well. Let’s us make haste, then. If the Brotherhood was involved in this, they may decide to flee when they see their dragon failed to burn this city as it had the others.” […] The monster roared at Galv, and started to advance at him – but Rica snapped his fingers and the beast stopped. Rica strode forward, looking down to Galv with hatred on his face. “You know nothing.” Rica sneered. “Kanna should have killed you a long time ago… I’ll fix that mistake right now.” He moved his hand, and the monster charged forward, roaring and trying to grab Galv! […] Musashi felt a blush cross his cheeks as Kyran leaned against him. It was a bit awkward to sit like this with her family so close by, but he decided to enjoy it all the same. He didn’t say anything though. He wasn’t suicidial. |

Gondor/Avalon border Didymus ignored the mage as he spoke. This was a battle he had fought more times than he counted before; this was all just typical Thalmor dribble. He suddenly struck his sword, blade first, into the ground, kneeling, and was quiet... ...a bright light flashed, and when it subsided, the fireballs were gone! He charged at the tree the mage was hiding in, and swung his sword HARD, attempting to fell it with one blow! |

[Gondor/Avalon Border] The Thalmor covered his face in horror as the light flashed, and when he could finally see once more and realized his fireballs had failed, he scowled. “You humans are trying my patience…” Then, Didymus hit the tree and it shook. The Mage had to jump to another tree, and then jump back to the ground. His hands blazed, suddenly burning with flames, and he rushed towards Didymus trying to grab him and burn him! |

Gondor/Avalon border The mage rushed towards Didymus...and Didymus, glad that he had stopped hiding, rushed toward the mage, sword glowing... ...he STILL attempted to go for a nonlethal blow, though...he struck his sword, flat side, towards one of the mage's arms, attempting to knock it back, so hard the mage himself would spin around, while sidestepping the other arm and delivering a jab, with his right hand, to the mage's jaw! |

[Gondor/Avalon Border] Most Mages were not skilled at up-close and physical combat; and the Thalmor Mage was no exception. When Didymus punched him, he fell to the ground and rolled, hitting hard. His nose was bleeding, and he clutched his face and he growled, glaring up at Didymus. “Vile human! Curse you!” The Mage growled, and he slammed his hands into the ground – and it started to shake violently! |

Gondor/Avalon border When the ground started to shake, Didymus knew this couldn't be good. It was hard to keep his footing, but he ran forward, and brought the pommel of his sword down on the mage's head-he was trained to strike blows like this...if it connected, it would, in all likelihood, knock the mage out... |

I can't see what you're imagining

-Gondor/Avalon Border- Blake held up his hands, preparing to guard against the fireballs, pausing as Didymus managed to dispel them all. Making a mental note to think Didymus later when he wasn't in the middle of a battle, Blake focused, sending his shadows towards Didymus and the Thalmor mage. “Paladin! If you can trust me, jump on my shadows! I can keep your footing steady for you!” Blake yelled, focusing. -Ankh-Morpork- “Right. Let's go kick some bad guy behind,” Jimi grinned, following Nanami, “Any idea where to start looking for them though? If they're underground...Well, the city is built on...the city. There's a ton of underground passages that were old rooms, or streets even...” Galv breathed heavily, glaring up at Rica, staring as the monster charged at him... But he had a couple more tricks up his sleeve. He focused, his electricity sparking around his hands, growing brighter, superheating the air around him... In a sudden loud CRACK, the air exploded forward, sending a blast of sound at the monster! The cart kept going, heading out of Ankh-Morpork now in the regular hustle and bustle of the city. Even a dragon attack didn't stop commerce for too long in Ankh-Morpork... Kyran yawned, falling asleep against Musashi's shoulder for now... |

GRAPPLING HOOK!

Ankh-Morpork "This....Bumpy....Ride....Is....Terrible" Joyce said, holding her stomach and making slight gagging noises. She looked a little kart-sick, but that was no difference than any other day for her lately. Elysia frowned, looking at Musashi and Kyran. She was tempted to throw a canteen at the pair but resisted. She looked back to Sage. "Are you sure it's safe to just travel like this? What about the dragon?" |

[Ankh-Morpork] “I haven’t the faintest idea.” Nanami admitted. “I don’t come to Ankh-Morpork often, and I have never been underground of this city… but we must search for them. Wherever they are, they are undoubtedly responsible for this.” Nanami frowned. “… I suppose that’s not much of a plan, though. Do either of you know the underground?” […] Rica frowned as the monster roared in pain and clutched at its ears. He waved his hand, and the monster suddenly turned to dust. “You must think you’re awfully tricky, don’t you boy?” Rica asked as he approached her. “But I grow tired of this game.” He held up his hand, and blasted a concentrated beam of frost at Galv, attempting to freeze him solid! [Cart] Musashi leaned against Kyran, enjoying the closeness, but he looked over towards Elysia when she spoke up. “Hopefully that dragon won’t be coming back this way… but we don’t have much of a choice anyway, do we? Walking would be even more dangerous.” [Gondor/Avalon Border] The Thalmor Mage stood ready to defend against Didymus and Blake, but suddenly his eyes widened and he collapsed – he was dead! An arrow stuck out of his back. As the Thalmor died, Garnet rushed over to Didymus’ side. “Is it over?” Garnet asked. |

Gondor/Avalon border As Garnet rushed to his side, Didymus called out "Get to cover!" When she was next to him, he brushed her back, getting her directly behind her, opposite the direction the arrow came from. "Friend, I suspect I have little reason to quarrel with you with your recent aid...but...if you could kindly show and identify yourself, I would appreciate it..." he called out, getting into a defensive stance...
