[Convoy]

Nanami stood up on the hood of the lead car, and she took a megaphone and yelled out to the gathered group.

“We’re moving out. It’s time we go over the plan. We’ve identified an escape tunnel built into the Holding Facility. It was designed for the Facility’s officers to use in case of a fire, or if enemies take control of the facility. We know where the tunnel comes out at, and we’re going to use that tunnel as our entrance.”

“Now… we have two problems. Firstly, the outside of the tunnel is sealed shut. We can open it with explosives, but it will be too loud; and we can’t rely on anything with super strength since Pylons are ALWAYS active at the Holding Facility. However, we do believe we can hack the door to open it using a Pip-Boy.”

Nanami crossed her arms. “Now, that’s the first problem, and as I said, we believe we have a solution to it. The second problem is a bigger deal. As I said, this escape tunnel was designed for the Officers of the Holding Facility. That means it will lead to the Commander Officer’s private office. We have no way of knowing if anyone will be in the office, or if it will be rigged with an alarm. It’s a gamble, I’m not going to lie…”

She shook her head. “However… it’s the only chance we have of getting into the facility. Any kind of frontal assault would be suicide, and would give them plenty of time to execute the kid. This tunnel is our one chance. We can’t afford to screw up.”

She nodded. “Okay people… let’s move out.”

And the convoy set off, and would soon arrived at the Tunnel Exit.

Convoy

“Are you sure about this, Sarai?”

Sarai nodded, leaning forward and kissing Connor and letting it linger for a moment. "Y-Yeah" she answered, squeezing his hand and climbing abroad. She noticed Chloe's glare of death, but tried to ignore it for the moment.

The girl was then distracted as the Jeeps started up and Nanami took a microphone to explain the plan. All the while the girl listened carefully, squeezing Connor's hand.

Melanie also paid close attention. She knew that even though she'd be following Nanami and her father she would be responsible for not getting herself killed...She needed to be ready.

The plan seemed straight forward enough though...Well as straight forward as something like this could be. Like Nanami said there were still many variables left unaccounted for....

[Tunnel Exit]

The Convoy soon arrived in a rather derelict area. It was in the ruins of an old city. Half a mile away was the Enclave Holding Facility – a depressing and dark building in the middle of nowhere. There was a concrete wall surrounding the Facility, with barbed wire, an electrified fence and several patrolling guards.

And, of course, Pylons.

The Convoy was hiding out in the wreckage of an old world parking garage. The Tunnel exited out not far away, in a drainage ditch.

“Alright…” Nanami said. “Who here has a Pip-Boy? We’ll take only a couple of people until we get the door open.”

Connor, meanwhile, smiled to Sarai… but things seemed a bit tense with Chloe. He was worried.

“That's, uhhh, me...” Hammah said, walking towards Nanami. His Pip Boy came to life as he tapped at it, working the screen.

Even with the pylons stopping his power, Hammah was smarter then people tended to give him credit for. He worked fast, frowning a little.

“I think I can open it from here,” Hammah said, after a moment, “As for the pylon...I might be able to shut it down, but it might not be for long, especially if they have backups. I'd have to shut them down individually...And it would alert them to our presence...”

[Tunnel Exit]

Nanami nodded to Hammah, and she peered around nervously. They were just outside of an Enclave Holding Facility… it worried her to be this close. If they made even one mistake, they might all die… or worse.

“The Pylon isn’t our main concern.” Nanami shook her head. “The longer we can go undetected, the better chance we can survive this. Just focus on getting the tunnel open… but be ready to knock out the Pylon later, if we have to.”

“Got it...” Hammah nodded, tapping at his Pip Boy.

A couple moments later the exit began to open, the Rebellion would be able to get inside!

-Enclave Holding Facility-

“I still believe this is not the wisest course of action,” Claire frowned as Gallic adjusted his tie, looking into a mirror. He appeared to be wearing the expensive suit he always wore, but beneath it, hidden from view, was one of the most advanced pieces of personal armor that the Enclave had to offer.

“Of course it isn't. There's a risk no matter what we do,” Gallic answered, “But we can't win without rolling the dice...but we can lose if we stay too cautious. I'm certain Autumn is going to try and move against me in the near future. I doubt he'd be able to get to me, but he still has a substantial amount of forces behind him. My men might be more loyal then his, but fear is still a powerful motivator.”

Gallic flexed his sleeves, two blades coming out from them. They were longer then a knife or dagger, about the length of a short sword. He swung them around a little, then nodded approvingly, getting them back to being hidden in his sleeves.

“Still sir, what you want to do...” Claire frowned, “At least have Walter with you.”

“No, no, I want to meet her one on one again,” Gallic answered, smiling, “We have so much to catch up on...”

[Enclave Holding Facility]

As soon as Hammah had the tunnel open, Nanami rushed forward. She insisted on being the first in the tunnel, in case they should run into any problems or traps. As they walked, they soon came to the actual entrance to the tunnel, and would come out into the commanding office’s room.

Nanami was the first into the room, moving slowly and quietly… the room was empty, as she had expected it to be, so she waved the others to follow.

“Hammah, there’s a computer console over there. Can you hack it? We need to find out exactly where they’re holding Galv.”

“I think so, yah...” Hammah said, heading to the computer, typing at it, turning his Pip Boy now and then and tapping at that as well.

Cess stood by the door, having drawn his gun, waiting quietly, in case someone walked in on them.

“Okay...he's...On the top floor,” Hammah said, after a moment, “Says he got transferred there earlier today...Under...President Gallic's orders...”

He was quiet, Cess frowning as well now, who looked towards Nanami.

“And, ummm...It says...It says President Gallic is here visiting,” Hammah said after another moment, “Some notes here that he brought additional security with him here too...”

“Okay...he's...On the top floor,” … “Says he got transferred there earlier today...Under...President Gallic's orders...”

Nanami froze. She turned to look towards Hammah, and she noticed that Cess was staring at her now. She figured that he would.

“And, ummm...It says...It says President Gallic is here visiting,”

Nanami’s heart skipped a beat.

He was here.

Gallic was here!

The man Nanami wanted to kill... the target of all of her hatred and her disgust… he was here, in this building. This was the kind of moment Old Man Sensei had always prepared her for.

He had always urged her that the mission came first. She was here for a reason… and she was supposed to be the leader of the team. She had a responsibility.

… but she could not stop herself.

“… Cess, you’re in charge of finding the kid and getting him out of here.” Nanami said bluntly. “Don’t even think about arguing with me. You’re going to save the kid, I’m going to kill Don Gallic.”

She looked to Hammah. “Where is he? Does the computer say?”

“Ummm...It says...he was given a conference room for his use. First floor...Room... C6,” Hammah answered, “But he's probably surrounded by guards and stuff...”

Cess sighed a little, knowing that his Speech skill wasn't high enough he couldn't say anything to stop Nanami from going after Gallic, and short of shooting the girl there wasn't anything he could do to stop her.

“Be careful Nanami...Gallic has kept his position for a reason,” Cess simply said, “If you confront him, that's going to start an alarm...They might think it's just you, come here to kill Gallic. If it gets too dangerous, pull back though. I'll have Hammah start working on shutting down the pylons.”

He turned to the others, then nodded, “Nanami, you go first. Be careful...”

-Conference Room C6-

Gallic stood calmly in the conference room, alone in the large space for now. A laptop was set up on the table, it's screen glowing softly, but he wasn't paying attention to it at the moment.

He smiled slightly, waiting...

[Enclave Holding Facility]

“Guards can’t stop me.” Nanami said matter-of-factly. “Cess, just stick to the mission. Find Galv Hawkins, rescue him, and get everyone out of here as quickly as you can.”

She turned to him. “Do not wait for me. Complete your mission. I’ll meet you back at the base.”

Nanami turned and headed out of the door. She would want to come back… but her main focus was going to be on killing Gallic, not protecting herself.

[…]

The hallways were full of guards. Well-trained, well-armed, well-armored guards… and they were nothing in Nanami’s eyes.

She rounded the corner. There were three guards at the far end. Nanami strung an arrow into her bow and let fly, striking the first guard in the back of his armor – and the arrow suddenly let loose with an electrical charge, frying the guard inside the armor.

The other two turned, surprised, but Nanami had fired two more arrows with amazing speed and precision; and the other guards fell as well.

She rounded another corner. There were a few guards down the hall. Though they had heavy armor, none of them were wearing helmets. Nanami drew a small knife in each hand and rushed down the corridor at amazing speeds.

“What—grah!” The first guard fell, his throat cut before he could speak. Nanami stabbed the second in his windpipe before he could react. The third guard raised his gun, but Nanami stabbed him in the wrist and then turned and stabbed him in the chest.

She spun and kicked the fourth guard, knocking his gun away before he could fire. She pounced on the man and slashed his throat.

The whole thing took less than a minute. Nanami could feel her hands soaked with blood… it reminded her of the Hunger Games.

[Conference Room C6]

Nanami arrived at the door, outside of the room. She was breathing heavy… but she knew it was time.

So she kicked in the door, bow in hand, arrow strung and ready to fire…

“Well hello Nanami...I suppose I should be glad I didn't have my own personal guards out there...Be a shame to lose good help,” Gallic said, back to Nanami as she entered the room, bow in hand, arrow strunge.

“You can try and shoot me now, if you want,” Gallic said, turning carefully around towards Nanami, smiling, hands behind his back. “Ahhh...that determination in your eyes...Yes...your eyes...They use to remind me of your mother...But now...they remind me more of your father.”

-Enclave Holding Facility: Hallways-

Hammah pulled out a pair of dark glasses, putting them over his eyes now. He blinked as they came to life, connecting to his Pip Boy, giving him a HUD to see.

“There's stairs this way...” Hammah said, Samuel stepping forward with Cess, to provide cover if they ran into anyone, “I can't track any guards, at least not until I get the pylons down...”

[Conference Room C6]

Nanami saw him. Don Gallic… standing across the room from her.

It was the closest she had been to the President of the Enclave, since he congratulated her for winning the Hunger Games.

“Ahhh...that determination in your eyes...Yes...your eyes...They use to remind me of your mother...But now...they remind me more of your father.”

“Don’t you talk about my mother you son of a smurf.” Nanami growled. “She died cold, sick and alone because of you and your damn Enclave… and now I’m going to put you down like the rabid dog you are.”

She fired!

[Enclave Holding Facility]

Connor followed behind Hammah, Samuel and Cess. He was worried… Nanami’s decision to go off on her own could end up messing things up.

-Conference Room C6-

Gallic moved, one of his hidden short swords springing from his arm, slashing through the air as Nanami fired, cutting the arrow in two as he moved to the side.

He grinned at Nanami, almost looking like he was going to laugh.

“Very good Nanami. I'm glad you've gotten so skilled,” Gallic said, “But such a shame, we haven't caught up in...what's it been, a decade?”

He smiled still, straightening up, the short blade still in his right hand. “I doubt you will believe me, but the death of your mother was...unfortunate. Your mother was...not something I had planned for.”

Gallic's face fell a little, shaking his head and sighing softly, “If I can't talk about her though...how about your father. I don't believe she ever told you much about him.”

-Holding Facility-

They turned a corner, a guard pausing and looking startled as he saw the group.

Cess fired, one shot through the head, the guard slumping down, dead.

“Up the stairs!” Cess said, leading them to the second floor...

One more floor to go...

“I doubt you will believe me, but the death of your mother was...unfortunate. Your mother was...not something I had planned for.”

“Shut up!” Nanami shouted, and she was overcome with rage. The idea of Gallic talking about her mother was terrible. She had long trained to fight him, but she had never expected the subject of her mother to come up.

She fired a couple more arrows, but she was too frazzled to fire straight. So she tossed her bow down and drew two long knives from her belt. She was better with a knife than a bow anyway.

“If I can't talk about her though...how about your father. I don't believe she ever told you much about him.”

“My family has nothing to do with you!” Nanami growled. She had never actually known her father, but she wasn’t about to admit that to Gallic.

[Holding Facility]

Connor followed behind, staying close to Sarai and Chloe. He was worried… but they were getting very close to the holding cell, or so he hoped.
