Arena Melanie looked from Shinji to Galv, not wanting to leave...But at the same time not wanting to get shot either. She quickly stood up, feeling overly cold and realizing it was because she couldn't use her powers for some reason...Instead they were stuck inside of her... All in all this was a really bad situation. "S-Shinji. I....I don't want to be your partner anymore." Melanie stated. Please don't say this to the crazy guy with the gun. [...] One of Chloe's kicks landed and the girl was dropped to the ground. Instantly she scrambled back, confused to why she wasn't stronger. Having a feeling it had something to do with the Game she decided to just use what she had around her. She couldn't depend on Connor healing her this time, she'd have to play smart. So when Cato came back at her Chloe grabbed the nearest brick and chucked it at his head. She hoped Connor was fairing better, but by the looks of it he wasn't. Fancy Party Kanna raised a brow, but then gave a small grin as she looked forward. "Well I appreciate it" she said softly, pausing as they headed back into the party room. There were so many people, and Kanna couldn't help but to feel overwhelmed. Narroh House When Erin finally moved back from Jason the boy blinked, gathering his bearings. "T-That was....Nice" he said, looking back at her. He was still shocked the girl was all over him like that."I'm pretty sure you did it right" Luckily Kanna wasn't home. |

I can't see what you're imagining

-Arena- Galv was quiet, taking a deep breath as he glanced towards Melanie, then back to Shinji. The room wasn't that big...It was possible he might be able to rush him, push the gun up and tackle the other guy to the ground. The red haired electric user didn't have any weapons on him, but he was stronger then most people assumed someone of his stature was... -Fancy Party- Ethan smiled, “Don't worry about it.” He lead Kanna through the party, stopping by a heavyset man who was laughing quite heartily at his own joke and against all rational thought, had mutton chops and a large handlebar mustache. Those around him chittered nervously, the man not seeming to notice that his joke had not been that well received. “Ah, hello, Colonel Lithwort?” Ethan said, “I wonder if we could borrow you for a moment?” “Hm? Oh! Ethan, dear boy, of course! And who is this lovely woman on your arm here?” Lithwort asked, turning his bulk towards the two. The others who had been around him slowly began to disperse. “This is Kanna Narroh. She has a daughter in the Games,” Ethan said, introducing the two, “I was wondering if perhaps you might be willing to sponsor the girl.” Colonel Lithwort paused, twirling his mustache, “Let's see...Narroh...Yes, I think I remember. Daughter looks quite you, my dear. Quite stunning. But Ethan, dear boy, don't you have a daughter in the Games as well?” “She made it quite clear to me that if I help her in any way, she wouldn't talk to me again,” Ethan said with a small smile, “And we Vires enjoy a challenge to truly to test our strength, and it's simply not like me to let Miss Narroh here fret over her daughter when I can help.” “Of course, of course!” the colonel nodded idly, “And you want me to help sponsor the girl?” “You and your friends,” Ethan said, smiling slightly now. “There was some talk of putting in a little money towards that Hawkins fellow. One of the chaps knows the Tuirill family with their electricity from a way back, who's the boy's mother. Most of us like that Cato fellow though. Strong young lad, good face. Make a dashing Victor,” Colonel Lithwort said, twirling his mustache again, having an odd look like he was dealing with someone more intelligent then himself, but was still smart enough to think he might be walking into a trap. “Ah, well, if you can't, then that's fine,” Ethan said idly, taking Kanna's arm and turning her away, “We apologize for taking up your time.” He glanced towards Kanna, winking slightly as they took a couple steps, then stopped. “Oh, by the way, Colonel, I looked over some of those papers you gave me. With your accounts,” Ethan said, as though he just now remembered that, “There's some...inconsistencies...” “Oh dear...there is?” Lithwort asked, producing a handkerchief and dabbing at his face, a nervous expression spreading. Even the mutton chops couldn't hide his fear. “Yes. I'll have to look a bit more closely at them,” Ethan answered, “And if I find anything wrong, I'm afraid I'll have to have the authorities look at them too...” “Ah...” Lithwort said, pausing as Ethan took Kanna's arm again to head off. After a couple steps Lithwort stepped forward, putting a hand on Ethan's shoulder. “Umm...that Narroh girl, she's looking for Sponsors?” Lithwort asked. “Yes. Melanie Narroh. But you have others in mind, so don't worry sir. We'll look for others,” Ethan said in an odd cheerfulness that had Lithwort worried. “Ah, well...we haven't actually decided anything. I could see us sponsoring the girl. Yes, she'd make a good Victor,” Lithwort said idly, fidgeting with his handkerchief. “Yes. Most definitely.” “Why thank you sir,” Ethan said, smiling, “And now that I think about it, I'm certain those inconsistencies I found are just the result of a bad calculator. I'll make sure to remedy that.” “Ah, yes, yes. Of course,” Lithwort said, then began to shamble away, towards another group of men in military uniforms. Ethan smiled, turning to Kanna. “Once when they were debriefing me I demonstrated some other talents I have,” Ethan explained, “So they like me to go over their accounts and such. Amazing what you can do with numbers, really. All the strength in the world's useless if you don't know where to apply it.” -Narroh Residence- Erin smiled faintly, sitting down and staring at Jason. “I'm glad I can do something right then...” Erin said softly, smiling up at him, then fidgeted with her dress a little. She still felt nervous, but it should be alright. Her brother was off somewhere, and besides, she had a piece of paper that said she was sane. Most people didn't have that. She probably has it on her person somewhere too. |

Fancy Party Kanna wasn't usually the quiet type, quite the opposite actually, but right now the woman stayed silent and watched the conversation between Ethan and Colonel Lithwort. Apparently they knew each other...She was surprised the man had such connections. But his connections didn't seem to work, and the two were denied. Kanna continued to stay quiet, having been led away by Ethan. “Oh, by the way, Colonel, I looked over some of those papers you gave me. With your accounts. There's some...inconsistencies...” Kanna raised a brow and paused...She had a feeling she knew what he was up to. And it seemed to work. Melanie had a new sponsor within the minute. The two walked away and Kanna couldn't help but to feel extremely relieved. "So you're a super strong accountant? I must say that was a bit unexpected" Kanna said, unable to contain a small smile. "Thank you for the help. Though are there anymore hidden talents I should know about?" Narroh Residence Jason blinked, noticing the girl looked a bit nervous. "Are you okay?" he asked, his face finally back to it's normally pale hue. It was obvious that Erin was distracted, and he didn't really blame her...She also seemed really down on herself. |

[Arena] “There's not suppose to be any guns in the Arena,” Galv said carefully, “How did you get one?” Shinji just smirked at Galv. He was having too much fun being the most dangerous man in the room (for once). He kept the shotgun trained at the redhead, and then he laughed. “I guess someone must have made a mistake, because I ‘found’ one.” Shinji laughed once again. “I’m a lucky guy, you know…” Shinji was more than lucky. He came from a rather infamous family in the Capitol, and several of his relatives were members of the Enclave. Shinji had only volunteered for the Games to get fame and fortune, but he was a coward. So he arranged for his relatives to leave him a care package in the arena. It was cheating, of course, but Shinji’s a violent predator, so what do you expect? "S-Shinji. I....I don't want to be your partner anymore." Now, Shinji turned to Melanie and he shrugged. “Too bad. I don’t give two sh*ts what you want. There’s only one thing I want from you… so take your pick, do you want to please me, or should I just kill you both?” I’m really looking forward to Shinji’s death. It will be fun. […] Cato gasped as Chloe tossed a brick at him. He was able to avoid it with his head, but the brick hit him in the shoulder, and Cato dropped his knife as he cried out in pain. Connor, meanwhile was having a bad time. Ryuunosuke was slashing and stabbing at him, and Connor was doing his best to avoid… when he could. Most of the slashes, Connor had blocked with his arms – which meant he had been cut several times and his arms were covered in blood. He realized he had to stop this, but he didn’t know how! Connor wasn’t a fighter! |

Arena Melanie stayed silent, staring from the gun to Galv and then back to the gun. She then slowly moved towards Shinji. What was she supposed to do? She didn't want to die, and she was sure she didn't want Galv to either. Perhaps it was foolish thinking that they would both stay alive, but she wanted to believe the boy's odds were better without her (or Shinji shooting him in the face) "Fine then, let's go" Melanie mumbled, looking down at her feet. [...] As soon as Cato dropped the knife Chloe scrambled for it, knowing the weapon was her chance to get the upper hand in the fight. Luckily she grabbed it before Cato could, and she made a mad slash at the boy's shins. Ouch. Just ouch. |

[Arena] A sinister smirk crossed Shinji’s face. In his mind, getting a woman to go with him at gunpoint somehow made him suave. He kept the gun pointed at Galv as Melanie stepped closer towards him. “Good. Now, you’re going to come with me… your little friend here can just sit down and count to one hundred. And if I see you following us, I’ll kill you.” Shinji growled. […] “Grah!” Cato screamed out as he felt the knife rake his shin. He fell on his face, busting his lip… and making him seriously angry! He reached out, grabbing Chloe’s leg and trying to knock her down! |

Arena "Just leave him alone" Melanie said, panic in her face (she had an odd feeling Galv would follow despite warnings not to) "He's not gonna follow. W-We better just get out of here before more people come" Melanie just wanted to go before something horrible happened. [...] Chloe stumbled when Cato grabbed her leg, instantly trying to break her fall but not drop the knife. She landed on her stomach and instantly turned back to him and slashed at his face and neck. "Let me go!" She screamed, kicking her leg all the while, trying to get away. At the same time she found herself looking around for Connor, desperate to figure out what state he was in too. |

[Arena] Shinji paused. He knew that the smart move was just to take Melanie and go, but he happened to be a sociopath. He suddenly slinked his arm around Melanie’s waist and pulled her up next to him. “Fine, I’ll leave him alone… but first I want you to kiss me right in front of him, just to make sure he knows what’s what, so he won’t be so inclined to follow.” […] Cato screamed out as he was slashed in the face. He now had a large, bloody slash down the middle of his face, across his nose. He growled and glared at Chloe, but it was hard to see with blood in his eyes. “I’m going to tear your apart for that!” Cato growled, and he charged at Chloe! Connor, meanwhile, was in the struggle of his life. His arms were covered in cuts and he was losing a lot of blood. Ryuunosuke stabbed at him, and Connor jumped to the side and kick Ryuunosuke in the back, sending him falling to the ground. “Chloe we have to run!” Connor shouted. He felt woozy. |

Arena Melanie stiffened when Shinji slinked his arm around her waist. She tried not to look at him, but found herself turning to him in disbelief when he told her to kiss him. “Fine, I’ll leave him alone… but first I want you to kiss me right in front of him, just to make sure he knows what’s what, so he won’t be so inclined to follow.” "W-What?!" Melanie whimpered, face flushed. She knew she didn't have much of a choice though. "Not here...Not right now. Trust me he won't follow us" [...] Chloe perked up when she heard Connor, nodding but as she was tackled by Cato once again. But this time she was ready. She held the knife at the level of her upper torso, facing out. When Cato moved at her she plunged the weapon into his gut. |

[Arena] Shinji frowned. He was still aiming the gun at Galv with his free hand. It was actually a bad idea, since firing a shotgun one-handed would hurt with the recoil. Though it would hurt Galv more, with the actual shells. “It wasn’t a request. Kiss me, Melanie… or else.” Shinji growled. […] Cato groaned as he was stabbed in the gut with the knife. He rolled off Chloe and onto his back and he looked down at himself. He was covered in blood now, and the pain was immense. His vision was clouded too from the cut on his face. He tried to get up, but he seemed a lot weaker. |

Arena "......Okay" Melanie decided shakily. Sure, she had kissed plenty of guys before (Melanie had quite a few admirers in her sixteen years of life) but this just felt different. She didn't care for this boy....She didn't want to touch him none-the-less kiss him. But she didn't have much of a say in the matter. Melanie felt numb, but she supposed that was for the best. She moved forward and kissed Shinji as quickly-yet-convincingly as she could. Ugh. Now she felt dirty. [...] Chloe left the knife in Cato's stomach, rushing over to Connor's side while Cato tried to pull himself up. Instantly she grabbed the boy's hand and pulled him through the alley and into the street. She could still feel a bit of rain coming down but she didn't care, they needed to keep running. |

-Arena- All rational thinking went out of Galv's head as Shinji made Melanie kiss him. There was no way he was going to let Shinji have any sort of alone time with the black haired girl. He shot forward, moving himself quickly as Melanie kissed him, his rational mind at least making him move when Shinji was the most distracted. Galv moved at Shinji, trying to tackle him and knock the gun away from him! -Fancy Party- “Oh, I have plenty of hidden talents,” Ethan answered, “Not all of which are appropriate to demonstrate here in public.” He grinned at Kanna, “As for your daughter, the Colonel will make sure his other friends will help sponsor her as well. There's only a handful of them, but when they put down money, they put down a lot, and many people will follow their lead.” -Narroh Residence- “Oh! Just, ummm...this is all new to me,” Erin answered, “I don't know if what I'm doing is right, is all...I've never kissed a guy before or anything...” |

Arena Shizuo contemplated this for..a couple of seconds, at most. He walked across the tree he had rooted up and tore of a number of branches and tossed them aside. "There's your firewood. But how are we supposed to draw water?" --- Giacomo had a fairly twisted smile on his face. "How do you know? You weren't paying attention, I could have activated them. Maybe they don't need activation and you're just trying to fool yourself. Or maybe this detonator has the switch." He held it up. "Now, why don't you put THOSE supplies down and act more civilized before I have to blow you to kingdom come?" --- Shipper chuckled softly. "Well..I can't really cook, but I need to finish the fort anyway. Someone should also go into the city sometime and find some furniture." He shrugged. The Fort Cole walked in through the tent's flaps and forward to Caesar's throne. All he could feel was wonderment at how much pull his title held. As he approached, he noticed many guards with a gloves and devices around their arms. There were..many guard dogs as well. Caesar made it pretty much impossible to just assassinate him. Cole had a funny feeling, though, that this meeting had little to do with his hunt for the chip. |

[Arena] Shinji did not plan this one out too well. He had just assumed that the sight of the shotgun would be enough to keep Galv too intimidated to do anything; but when Shinji was busy slobbering all over Melanie’s face, Galv attacked! As Galv tried to grab the gun, Shinji fired – but since one of his hand’s was still wrapped around Melanie, he made the very boneheaded move of firing a shotgun with just one hand. Shinji yelped out in pain as he stumbled back, with his shoulder practically dislocated from the recoil. […] Connor ran with Chloe, but while Cato was down, Ryuunosuke was not. He came rushing after them, cackling the entire time. “Heeeey, come back! I just want to open you up!” Ryunnosuke yelled, waving his knife around. [The Fort] Caesar sat at the far end of the tent, on a throne. At either side were many, many guards. “So, you’re the ‘famous’ Courier. It takes guts to walk into my turf. So… how about you give me any reason why I shouldn’t have you tossed in the arena to be killed for sport?” Caesar has his own mini Hunger Games! |

Arena Galv tackled Shinji and the gun went off, causing Melanie to let out a loud scream. Because Shinji had a tight hold of her when he shot she had been pulled down with the boys, was now squished somewhere between them. It took her a second to realize she hadn't been shot, and when she tried she frantically tried to pull herself away from both of them before being crushed. [...] Chloe kept running, the girl looking over her shoulder every few seconds to see if Ryuunosuke was still following. He was, and he was gaining on them. Chloe didn't know how much further she could run like this. She quickly looked around, coming across a drainage ditch, half full of water from the rain. It was a big enough incline that the could hide, and hopefully dirty enough that Ryuunosuke would not think to follow them. Without thinking the girl, tugged Connor into the ditch, pulling him underwater and trying to hold her breath for as long as possible. Fancy Party "I appreciate all the help, really I do" Kanna said, deciding she could relax for a moment and have a drink. As a waiter came by she took a flute of champagne and started to sip. As she enjoyed her drink the woman's eyes started to wander and she came across one of the many television screens placed in the room. It was playing Melanie...And Galv....And some other boy...The scene didn't look good. Narroh Residence "N-No, you're fine-really good in fact!" Jason stuttered, placing his hands on the girl's shoulder. He then sighed, looking to the side. "Maybe this was too fast, how about we start over. "Hi, i'm Jason" The boy held his hand out for Erin to shake. |
