-Tribute's Train-

Ila simply didn't seem to notice Rica's creeperness, just grinning.

“So!...I was thinking, we might be able to form an alliance,” Ila suggested, “My Tributes suggested the idea to me themselves.”

Galv found Melanie kissing him back, gripping his shirt tightly. His heart fluttered, his hair sparking slightly as he felt his emotions whirl around his head.

After a few moments he pulled back, taking a big breath, a goofy look on his face for a couple seconds, before his brain came back online.

“I...uhhh...I always had a crush on you...” Galv muttered quietly, “But I was always too shy to say anything...”

-Spork Residence-

“We all are,” Agoi said, holding his wife tightly now, “He'll make it through this, all of us will...We'll be a family again.”

Jimi frowned a little, looking out a window so his family wouldn't see his expression. He was worried about Hammah. He worried immensely. But he was also worried about Kxs...A lot...A thought had popped in his head...if he was put in a situation where he could only chose one of them to save...which would he chose?

[Tribute’s Train]

Rica frowned to Ila. He immediately didn’t trust her, or her Tributes – but having more allies could keep Melanie alive longer, and better her chances.

“… Why?” Rica asked simply. “You’ll pardon my suspicion, but an alliance is a risky business.”

[…]

Connor sat there like a deer in the headlights, just trying to be quiet until Caesar asked him something.

… and hoping he wouldn’t freeze up when Caesar DID ask.

Tribute’s Train

Melanie caught her breath when Galv broke the kiss, the girl watching him carefully as he explained that he liked her...And had for awhile.

Which didn't make sense.

"But you barely know me" Melanie said, pushing a bit of her curled hair behind her ear. "How do you have a crush on someone you know nothing about?"

[...]

Sarai noticed from her spot that she Connor looked nervous, and tried to give him a little smile. She doubted he could even see her with all the lights...

"You certainly as a charming young lady Miss. Chloe! Now how about your friend, what's your name young man?"

Spork Residence

"I suppose" Rose said, leaning her head against his chest and taking a small breath. She then noticed her son, standing by the window.

"Are you okay darling?"she asked Jimi.

“We both have lover things going on!” Ila mentioned, “They could be bonded together! Your two Tributes are young lovers, forced into a Game where only one might live. One of mine has a love she was taken from before they could really express it, forced to be in the arena against her love's own younger brother!”

Ila grinned, waving her finger at Rica, “Acting together through a common goal, to see love somehow prevail!”

I'm liking 75% sure Ila has no idea who Nanami is.

Galv's heart dropped a little, looking forlorn.

“...We go to the same school...We have a lot of the same classes together...” Galv answered, frowning, “We live close to each other...My dad was good friends with your dad...So...I saw you a lot...I was just an idiot who couldn't build up enough nerve to talk to you.”

He stepped away from Melanie, frowning and looking out the window at the rushing scenery.

“I guess I'm just not very noticeable...” he muttered.

-Spork Residence-

“...I'm just worried about them, is all...” Jimi answered, still staring out the window, “I'm wondering what they're thinking about, all that...Sorry...I'm just not very good with words like Dad and Hammah...”

(Because I forgot this last time D: )

“Colette, I'm sure wherever they go, they'll take you with them. They're never going to leave you behind,” Aboy answered, stroking her cousin's red hair. Red, like her own mother's...

“So I wouldn't worry yourself over that. When we leave, you'll be the first person they make sure to find.”

"That could work," Kxs replied. There was probably only sticks and stones, there there's a couple of possibilities of what to do with a good stick and a sharp stone.

Shimera held Cess' hand as he held hers. She was so excited it was hard for her to keep quiet, but she knew she had to shush until they got there.

She had a small skip in her step. Her boots were made for fashion, not walking. But she had to learn that the hard way.

Tribute's Train

Melanie frowned, feeling like a d-bag....It was true that the boy had been around her a great deal of her life...But she never seemed to take notice of him. Perhaps it was because her mom was constantly bickering with his father...Or perhaps that her brother Jason was always ushering her away when boys looked at her for too long.

"I'm sorry" she said quickly, getting up and placing her hand on his shoulder "I didn't mean it like that...It's just...I never really thought about us like that I guess...I never really thought about anyone like that"

Melanie gave a little sigh...She was sixteen...Of COURSE she had thought of boys like that. No use in lying about her hormones.

"I guess I was distracted by things...I was never one to notice things right in front of me"

Spork Residence

Rose frowned, moving quickly over to her son. Her arms went around him in a tight hug, the woman not caring if it embarrassed the boy. She was his mother after all.

"You're just fine" she said with a sigh. "I'm sorry you have to worry about this..."

[...]

Colette curled up next to Aboy, closing her eyes for a moment and letting her cousin stroke her hair...

"Will I be able to help?" she asked softly with a yawn. "I'm not even strong enough to go into the games..."

[Tribute’s Train]

Connor froze like a deer in the headlights.

“Um… I-I-I’m… C-Connor…”

[…]

Rica groaned. This was just making too many comparisons to THEM. He sighed, rubbing his neck and looking to her.

“… I’ll talk to them about it, but I’m not making any promises. Ila, we both know that only one person walks out of that arena alive, and I’m sure we’re both planning on it being one of our Tributes. So before I agree to any pacts, I’m going to have to talk to the kids and think about it.”

Rica didn’t like alliances. He had had an alliance when he was in the Games… he had ended up killing her with his own two hands.

“The arena's different every year...” Hammah said, thinking, “Though they usually don't like to repeat arenas too soon...The last few have been very wild places...hopefully they'll switch that up then!”

He smiled at Kxs, nodding, “And even if they don't, your powers are pretty awesome! They'll help a lot, no matter what.”

“It's okay...I never really did anything to get you to notice me...” Galv sighed, rubbing the back of his head.

“Except that one night...but you didn't see me or anything...Considering...” Galv thought to himself.

“...I really do wish I had been braver earlier...I guess now I'll be brave to make up for all that...” Galv sighed.

“No problem then! Just let me know after you talk with them!” Ila said, still smiling for some reason. She then turned to walk off.

This was the first year Ila was Mentoring...

-The Wilds-

“There's lot of wilds things out here...so we need to be careful and quiet...” Cess whispered.

He paused, hearing a roar in the distance...

“Shoot...”

-Spork Residence-

“Ack, mom!” Jimi said, embarrassed as his mother hugged him, though still found it comforting.

“I just...I just hope everything will work out for the best...” Jimi sighed, hanging his head low, hugging his mother back, “I'm worried...and I wish I could be there with them and help them, instead of just waiting and hoping for now...I just...want to be doing something...”

“Of course you will...but remember helping doesn't always mean being out in the front, or fighting,” Aboy said, “You're smart, you're kind. You could help by building things, or tending to the injured or sick, or things like that. There's a lot you can do.”

The Courier heaves a sigh as they were out and away from Gomorrah. "Those guys tried to bribe me into working for them. I had to agree or they'd have shot you...they'll probably attack me after the job's done but we'll cross that bridge when we get there.

He continues walking, passing the Lucky 38. "But nevermind that. Mr. House himself hired me. I've got a package to start looking for. Does the label Old Man Sensei ring a bell to you? Apparently he traipsed along and took House's package and wandered into what's now Legion Territory. Guess where I'm going."

Tribute's Train

Shipper's eyes widened. "Board games? I don't really play many, 'cept checkers. You up for a game of cards? Dad taught me it, they call it Caravan!" He states proudly.

As Pibb dodged away, Lavan grinned. This guy was good, much better than the average Enclave soldier. But Lavan didn't let up here. Up until this point, he had been more or less testing his opponent and himself, but even now he figured that Pibb was an incredible fighter. This was why he wanted to fight in the first place.

However, the mule kick wasn't the end of things. As Pibb dodged backwards and out of reach range, Lavan's leg went down and his whole body followed right over it in a side-leaning, bunched-up cartwheel that placed both of his arms flat on the ground in front of Pibb as his body coiled in on itself...

And lashed out with a full-body-spring double kick to Pibb's face. Or, depending on if the man dodged, where his face used to be, the whole of his body following the attack.

KxS gave a flattered smile. "Heh, thanks Hammah.

"I hope we go someplace where we can find some useful items...I would hate if this year's arena was a desert."

The Wilds

"What was that...?" Shimera whispered. She never heard a roar like that before. Actually, she never heard a roar before. But she kept her cool.

Her eyes were quickly scanning the forest. Could there be a lion in there?

Tribute’s Train

Chloe couldn't help but to glare at Connor a bit as he basically wasted precious interview time with stuttering.

Caesar didn't seem too phased by the stuttering, it was almost guaranteed that he would get a few nervous kids every year...

"Connor eh! And how do you feel about being selected for this year's games? Quite honored I imagine!"

Caesar was now trying to help the boy by leading him into answers. He doubted the kid would be able to form them himself.

Meanwhile Sarai watched on, attempting to give the boy a smile from the small crack in the door.

[...]

Melanie frowned, pushing some of her hair behind her ear. She could sense she had said the wrong thing, but she was telling the truth....Though what would have been the harm in leading the boy on until they both met their untimely end.

Melanie sighed.

"You don't have to be brave about all of this...Goodness knows i'm not" she said with a sigh. "You can be scared, after all who knows what's gonna happen tomorrow? Could be dead"

......Well that was morbid.

Melanie gave a loud groan, stepping back from the boy and kicking off her heels. The then shook out her hair until all the curls had fallen down her back and there was a pile of glitter on the floor. Take off the glitter coat, you look crazy.

Spork Residence

Rose nodded, moving back from Jimi and giving a nod. "I know...I can't sit and watch-"

She then paused, turning back to the TV and rushing over. By the time she switched it on Caesar was talking to a boy she didn't know...

"Did we miss it?" Rose asked with wide eyes.

Connor frowned at Caesar’s question. He KNEW that he had to lie to answer this question; that he had to smile and wave and say this was a great honor.

“… Not really, sir.” Connor replied to Caesar.

Oh snap.

Rica groaned and walked away from Ila. He would deal with that problem in bit… right now, he had decided to head back to the room. He walked in and looked to Melanie and Galv.

“… Okay. Two things. First off, Ila’s Tributes have proposed some form of truce. You’ll both need to think long and hard about this.”

He paused. “… And Melanie, I’d like to talk to you. Alone.”

[The Wilds]

Musashi frowned, gripping his knife tightly and wishing that he had his sword with him. Or maybe a bazooka.

“Any idea what it could be, Cess?”

-New Vegas Strip-

“Legion territory, huh?” Zeke asked, “Do we have to do? They don't have any beer, you know.”

Zeke was of course going to accompany Cole.

“As for that name...hmmm...yah, actually, it does,” Zeke answered, “Looking over some of the more restricted airwaves we get from Panem. Guy use to live there, I think...”

-The Capitol: Holding Area-

Pibb did not dodge, instead bringing his hand around to hit the side of Lavan's legs, using his own strength and Lavan's momentum to move the legs to the right of Pibb's head, redirecting Lavan's attack.

If this worked, Pibb would then move to the side, away from Lavan as he redirected the kick, spinning around himself and launching a kick towards the red headed pyro.

-Tribute's Train-

“Okay!” Aiden said, having no idea how to play Caravan, “You can teach me how to play then!”

She grinned at Shipper, sitting down at a nearby table.

“Yah, a desert would suck...” Hammah nodded, “Boiling at day, freezing at night...But I doubt it will be. A Game in the desert would be over pretty quickly, and most of the Tributes would die of thirst, and they want a show...”

Galv nodded to Melanie, removing his coat.

He wanted to say something else to her, but Rica walked in, talking about an alliance.

“...No Alliances,” Galv said, shaking his head, thinking it over for barely a second, “I don't trust anyone else.”

Especially Shinji.

-The Wilds-

“...Yao Guai...” Cess muttered. He reached for one of his handguns, concealed on his person, but frowned. They weren't too near the gate, but a gunshot would draw suspicion, and possibly Peace Keepers.

Yao Guai, mutated grizzly bears who had supposedly come from the “radiation” of the nuclear war. In reality they were early experiments of the Enclave as a way to keep people in line, placed in the wilds to keep people from wandering around.

Not as tough or terrifying as Deathclaws, but they were still not something you wanted to run into in the dark woods.

Normally something like this wasn't an issue for Cess. He'd just turn invisible and keep going, turning himself intangible off and on to hide his scent.

But with others...turning someone else with him required more energy, and even discounting Musashi, Cess wasn't sure he could bring himself and Shimera through the woods to the Rebel hideout where Old Man Sensei was currently at.

“If it's just one, we should be able to handle it,” Cess muttered, glancing towards Musashi.

A sudden crashing in front of them, and a Yao Guai appeared there, roaring loudly, charging at them!

-Spork Residence-

“We might have...here...” Agoi said, going up to the TV. He fiddled with it, and suddenly the feed began to rewind, going back to the start of the interviews, with Hammah and Kxs.

“There they are,” Agoi said to Rose, turning back to her, “Hammah's looking confident...”

Tribute’s Train

There was a silence in the room, and not one of those holding for applause silences...The only noise was Chloe literally smacking her forehead with her palm.

This boy was going to get himself killed, even before the games started! He was probably hoping they chop off his tounge and make him an Avox so he could spend the rest of his life with his knew friend...

"What he means is that he's not honored to be a tribute, he's blessed to be one!" Chloe said with a large charming grin, pushing Connor over so that she was now in the frame. "This is only the highest honnor where he's from. They believe it is fate to be chosen to represent our nation! It's a miracle when it happens!"

No one in the room believed her one bit (not even Chloe herself) but everyone gave a nod and a mumble of agreement. Caesar who had been caught off guard seemed even more enthusiastic about it.

"Of course! Well fate seemed to be on your side my boy! And what about you miss, how do you feel?"

"Just amazing, I'm already planning my victory speech!"

"Confident aren't you!"

Chloe nodded "Confident, beautiful, i'm a lot of things and it's all because of where I came from!"

Chloe was going to kill Connor later.

[...]

Melanie jumpped a bit when Rica stepped back in, the girl's hair was now a mess as was her dress and make up...She frowned a bit but gave a little nod.

"Alright then....." she said carefully, looking back at Galv as if to say 'if im not back in five minutes assume he locked me in a closet somewhere'

Hahaha.

Spork Residence

Rose sat down slowly, eyes not leaving the television as she did. There was her son, smiling for the camera. She knew he was faking it...But she was happy he was. They wouldn't treat him well if he wasn't.

"H-He looks wonderful...." she said, dabbing at her eyes. "And to think they're going to try and kill him tomorrow...."

[...]

"I think I would be good at helping the sick " Colette said quietly, half asleep "I help momma sometimes..."

She then perked up....She head a familiar voice. Her eyes widened and she jumped out of bed.

"H-Hammah! It's him!" she exclaimed, rushing out of the room.
