[District: Small House] Musashi nodded. “Well, in that case… I guess we should probably get going. It’s a long travel, and we’ll need to be extra careful. With the Games starting soon, security will be high everywhere.” [District: Hob] Sama had snuck his way back to the Hob, hoping to find some batteries he could steal, and hoping NOT to run into Peacekeepers. Especially a certain Peacekeeper. [Gomorrah] Burke gave a grin and clapped Cole on the shoulder. “Good. You’re smarter than you look, Mr. Courier. Take this…” Burke handed Cole a small transponder. “This will let me keep tabs on you. Don’t even think about getting rid of it.” [Tribute’s Train] Rica nearly had a heart attack when SHE was almost mentioned. He had not noticed the comparison until now, but as he looked at Melanie and Galv, they WERE remarkably like… “… That could be problematic.” Rica frowned. |

[Tribute’s Train "What could be problematic?" Melanie asked when Caesar and his crew left, sensing that anything problematic should probably wait until the paparazzi of the games was gone. She obviously hadn't been exposed to many of the games, and had no clue who Caesar had been referencing. "Are you okay?" On the other hand Nyea knew why the man looked so tense all of a sudden...In fact now she was twisting the hem of her brightly colored dress and biting her lip. |

[Tribute’s Train] Rica shook his head, and looked over to Nyea. He was irritated now. That slip of her tongue could have cost them a lot, and now that the image was in Rica’s head… “… It’s better if you don’t know.” Rica said to Melanie, and then he bent down and put his hand on her shoulder. “Listen to me. You and Galv playing the cute couple will help you a lot, but it is very important neither of you come across as defiant. You need to be careful in that regard. If you seem defiant at ALL, it will be bad, do you understand?” |

Tribute’s Train Melanie didn't understand, but she gave a little nod. "Uh....Y-Yeah..I understand" she said carefully, looking at her mentor. He looked terribly serious. "Why do they want us to be so happy about things..." She then asked with a little squeak "It's all rather morbid" "It's part of the games" Nyea spoke up "It's a great honor to be chosen after all" It was obvious in her voice that she didn't mean that. Either way, the woman stood up and ruffled Melanie's curls. "You two should get some rest...If you need us tell your Avox" Melanie gave a little nod, but the pause. "Alright, but can I talk to Galv alone first?" |

[Tribute’s Train] Rica nodded. “Go ahead. I need to go and tend to some things…” He wanted to try to call Kanna. He knew she’d be fuming mad about what she saw on TV, and since she had gotten him a phone, Rica decided to try to make some use of it. |

|
-The Capitol: Holding Area- Kicks tended to be more devastating then punches, simply because kicks had more force and muscle behind them. One had to train their arms, but legs carried around a person every day. As Lavan went for a straight mule kick, Pibb...simply stepped backwards, getting out of the way of the blow, but it's speed made it difficult. Neither of them could use any abilities they might have, but that gave Pibb an advantage. He had been teaching himself for years on how to fight without them by now. “Either you've relied too much on an ability, or you're trying to make me think you don't know how to fight,” Pibb spoke up. Someone who had given the Enclave so much trouble like “Strudel” couldn't have been horrible at fighting. If his power compensated for that in such a large way, Pibb didn't think Gallic would have risked letting Lavan into the Games. “I realize we are being watched, but do realize not everyone is going to underestimate you,” Pibb added. -Tribute's Train- “Alright then!” Ila smiled, clapping her hands together, “I'll go have a talk with their Mentor!” Ila then hurried out of the compartment, leaving Hammah and Kxs alone again. “If we band together, we have a better chance of escaping...” Hammah said, after a moment. He hoped they'd agree to it... “Alright!” Aiden nodded, smiling now, glad their Mentor was so helpful. She then turned back to Shipper, still smiling, “I'm glad you're my partner for this.” Galv frowned at the mention of Nanami. He paused, glancing towards Melanie. He wondered then how much of their romance had been a show, at least at start. Nanami had been forced to kill the boy she was said to be in love with, the Rebellion suffering a horrible blow from the PR. For a long time he had hoped Melanie would notice him somehow, that he'd gather the courage to talk to the girl. And now, for the first time, he was hoping Melanie wouldn't notice him, wouldn't fall in love with him like those old sappy stories. He was terrified that then no matter what he did, he'd just end up hurting her. Of course Galv knew who Nanami was. His father had to help 'deal' with it, being a former Victor and all. And then Melanie wanted to talk to him, alone. He wondered what she wanted to talk about... -District: Small House- “Good. And you'll have to be quiet at first...there can be monsters lurking outside the fence...” Cess warned Shimera, taking her hand softly. The Enclave had placed things like Deathclaws into the wild, as a way to keep people in check and not try to escape the 'safety' of the District... -Spork Residence- As Colette and Aboy left, Agoi took the seat next to Rose, putting his arm over her shoulders and holding her softly. “We have to hope,” Agoi said, “Hammah and Kxs are both very smart. They'll know how to stay alive...Right now The Rebellion is the only thing that gives us much of a chance...” He paused, then looked towards where Colette, wanting to make sure she was out of earshot. “There's...one other thing. It's risky...and it'll depend on Hammah...” Agoi added, “His ability...I'm pretty sure I know what it is...I think...he's a technopath. He can control machines, electronics, etc...If the Enclave realizes that...they're going to pull him out of the Games somehow. They're terrified of technopaths, want them working for them...Because they can shut down pylons...If the Rebellion managed to find a single technopath and got them to the right place...they might be able to shut down all the pylons...for good...” |

Tribute's Train KxS gave Hammah a firm nod. "It's our best bet." She didn't have very much to say on the matter. All she could do was wait. District: Small House "Okay then! I'll try to be as quiet as possible," Shimera responded with a smile and a finger pressed on her lips. She didn't seem it, but she was very good at staying quiet. Well, unless she sees, hears, or thinks something funny. |

Tribute's Train "Y-you too!" Shipper pulls at his collar awkwardly. He never had many friends...this was almost refreshing. Apollo looks between them. "Alright. You two get more acquainted. Build your bonds now before you enter the arena. The more you understand each other, the better you will become at pretending." He turns on his heels and leaves the pair. "He's nice, oi." Shipper remarks, holding Aiden's arm closer. He was nervous now.. Gomorrah Cole nods, taking it with no remark. He'd just dump it in Legion territory. Or crush it. "No worries." He tucks it into his belt. "if there's nothing else, I'll see myself out." He heads back down to Zeke and grabs his arm. "Let's get the hell out." He walks past Zeke, expecting him to follow. |

Tribute’s Train Once Nyea and Rica had walked out of the car Melanie gave a little sigh, wiping some of the glitter off of her face. She felt entirely too overdressed for the situation but she supposed it helped during the interviews...Perhaps they would have a few more Sponsors now....Even one would be nice. "I'm not gonna get double-crossed when we get out there. How do you feel about me? Truthfully. No cameras or anything" It was ironic she was asking this, considering she had already planned on working with Shinji....Great.... [...] "It's going to be a long night for them...I doubt they'll get any sleep" Nyea said to Rica, as they walked out. "And I wasn't lying before, I still think she looks just like you...Perhaps you should talk to her about that" Nyea had one of those feelings...Just the way Rica looked when thinking about it. He was suspicious too. [...] Connor had been left alone for quite awhile before a knock came to his door. After a few moments Caesar and his crew let themselves in, no doubt barging on the boy. Behind the crew, peeking through the door there were a few people...Two small children and an older girl--Sarai. None of them spoke, instead they were just peeking in amazed at the lights and cameras. Spork Residence "You really think...He's a technopath?" Rose said, taking a seat once more. "And you're betting on him figuring it out and find a way to use it against the Games..." Sounded like a lot of pressure to put on a boy already fighting for his life in the games... "I wish we could just give him a hint...Tell him what he needs to do..." she said, sipping her tea...It had already gone cold. "And how do we get the Rebellion started here? People aren't just going to fight against the government that gives them food...No matter how little it is. We'd die without them." |

[Tribute’s Train] Rica groaned when Nyea mentioned the very thing that was on his mind. He instinctively stuck a hand into his jacket pocket to fish out his flask, but then he remembered that he had emptied away his booze and he only got more irritated. “Yes, she looks like me, and she’s just old enough that…” Rica shook his head and trailed off. “No. I’m not thinking about that. I can’t think about it… because if she is… then there’s no way I can let her get into that arena.” Rica missed his booze. And he really wanted to talk to Kanna. […] Connor jumped from his bed, seeing the cameras and Caesar. He wondered if Chloe was going to be interviewed with him. The boy rubbed the back of his neck and then, he spotted Sarai. He smiled at her, but dared not wave in front of Caesar. |

Tribute’s Train "You really don't have much of a choice in that aspect" Nyea said, placing a hand on Rica's shoulder for a moment "Don't you think you should know before she goes out there? I would hate to have to live forever wondering about it if she doesn't come back" Nyea then gave a shrug, stepping back "Either way it's your decision, i'm going to go get some rest. Attempt to look decent tomorrow, while they're fighting to the death you need to be schmoozing with old creepers" [...] Sarai caught Connor's eyes for a moment and gave a little smile, before she disappeared for a moment to let someone else in the room. A second later Chloe was walking in, wearing a short green dress covered in sequins. She didn't look particularly happy in it, but she seemed content enough, moving gracefully and taking a seat beside Connor. "I see you found your way out of the closet" Chloe said under her breath with a little grin. Sarai and the two younger Avoxes were once again peeking through the door. "So are you two ready to show off for the camera!?" Caesar asked with a grin "Of course" Chloe said with a charming smile |

[Tribute’s Train] Rica groaned, and pressed his head against the wall. He did not want to deal with this… and if Melanie was his, then he couldn’t stand to think about her not coming back, but Rica realized it was possible. … No, he realized it was probable. Even if Galv was truthful in his claims that he wanted Melanie to win, the simple fact was there were a lot of bigger, stronger, faster people in the Games. For Melanie to win would take an enormous amount of luck. It wasn’t impossible, but she would definitely not be the favorite to win. “… Fine.” Rica groaned. “I’ll talk to her.” […] Connor felt a lot more content to see Sarai smile at him, but when Caesar mentioned cameras, he suddenly started to shake a little. Connor had never been good in front of an audience, and now the whole country was looking at him! “I-I-I guess so.” Connor stammered from next to Chloe. |

-The Wilds- Cess took Shimera's hand, leading her to the fence. He glanced back towards Musashi. “I can handle this myself, if you have somewhere else to be,” Cess said to the fellow rebel. He focused, turning himself and Shimera intangible, stepping them through the fence and into the forested area... -Gomorrah- “Awww, but I was about to win back what I lost!” Zeke complained as Cole dragged him out of the casino, “And I'm pretty sure there was a girl eying me!” -Tribute's Train- “Maybe the arena will have a bunch of random stuff lying around that we can use to build something...” Hammah said, “Then we can build something! That'll help us a lot.” As Apollo left, Aiden turned back to Shipper. “So...how do we bond?” Aiden asked, “Do we play a board game or something?” Aiden was out of her element here. Galv was quiet, staring back at Melanie, not sure what to say. He could tell her the truth...but then...even if it meant Melanie would like him back... No, he couldn't. Could he? He hesitated. Was there a chance? Some kind of slim chance they could both make it out of the Games? It had be done before...sure, it had ended in tragedy...but if they did things a little different. His father was high up in the Enclave, a former Victor, loyal... “You want to really know...?” Galv asked quietly, “I...” He had done this before, earlier, in front of the cameras. But this was different. It was more...personal. Galv stepped forward, pulling Melanie towards him and kissing her. “Hey, Mr. Rica, right!” Ila appeared, approaching Rica and Nyea, “You're Galv and Melanie's Mentor, right?” -Spork Residence- “I do think he's a technopath...He has...some of the same signs. I've seen it before. My sister...” Agoi answered, “She was one too. It's...subtle, but I knew what to look for. As for him discovering his power...well, he'll be in a high pressure situation. A lot of times that can give someone a boost they need to get past that final barrier and reach their ability.” He sighed a little, “Hammah's smart. He's intelligent. And while he doesn't like to admit it, he knows how to sway people. He knows how to effect people. Maybe he's a little more then a technopath. He talks to animals a lot, he's good with people...Maybe he's just able to 'talk' to everything or something... “As for the Rebellion...I don't know. That man, Cess, said they would be back to help us. It might mean leaving our home here, and meeting back up with Hammah and Kxs...” |

[Tribute’s Train] Rica frowned as Ila appeared. ‘Great, now what?’ He wondered. “Yes, I am.” Rica said, putting his southern charm back on and grinning to her. He also let his eyes wander over her for a second, because it’s Rica and we’ve all come to expect that from him. “What can I do for you?” He asked with his usual grin. […] At this point, Coral was wandering the train, looking for something to do. |

Tribute’s Train "Smart decision" Nyea said with a grin, about to head off when Ila appeared. "I'll leave you two to talk, i've got to get Rica's outfits ready for the receptions tomorrow. There will be lots of glitter!" Before Rica could protest the woman was gone. [...] Melanie was expecting some sort of explanation, or perhaps a confession that what he was doing was for the cameras...Instead she was pulled forward, her lips pressed tightly against his once more. But this time they were alone...She could actually process it without the bright lights and cameras. She leaned in further, clutching his shirt tight enough to make her knuckles turn white. [...] "We're on in 5....4....3...2....1!" The lights shone and Caesar was grinning brightly, before the cameras turned to Chloe and Connor. The teenage girl grinned brightly and even gave a wave to the camera. "Welcome back! We're with another lovely pair of tributes, ready to show us how they plan on gaining the upper hand in the games. What are your names?" "I'm Chloe, and may I say it's an honor to finally get to meet you! You're a legend where i'm from!" Caesar couldn't help but to go a bit pink, giving a laugh "Why thank you young miss! I hope I look as good in real life as I do on camera!" Chloe gave a loud laugh (which was obviously not genuine), patting the host's knee "I will say you definitely do! My friends will be so jealous!" Chloe was playing the audience like a violin. Spork Residence "I'm willing to do whatever I need to in order to save Hammah..." Rose said, running a hand though her hair. [...] Once Colette was in her room the girl climbed into bed and looked at Aboy. "Aboy....Do you think Jimi, momma and papa are going to have to leave in order to help Hammah? They won't leave me right?" |
