GRAPPLING HOOK!

Tribute’s Train "Alright then! Right to the point!" Caesar said with a grin as he snapped his fingers. Immediately people started to set up around Kimi, Shinji, and Erin....Caesar sat down and smiled at the short girl in a dress. "Now don't be nervous, this is just a simple interview-" Kimi? Nervous? Ha. Ha. Soon everything was set up and the cameras were rolling! "5.....4.....3....2...." "And we're back! I'm Caesar Flickman, your host for this night of interviews! We're on to our next group! Please introduce yourselves!" [...] Melanie frowned..."So they could be burned for all we know..." She muttered a bit darkly, looking down and noticing her hand was still intertwined in Galv's. Luckily she didn't have to linger on that for long, as the clipshow finished and the next set of interviews came to life. "S-Shinji!" Melanie exclaimed, realizing the boy she had made an agreement with was not doing his interview. From her spot Nyea frowned. "Oh poor girl, she's not going to last too long" she said referring to Kimi....She did look like a little doll wearing the frilly dress. Once again. Ha. Ha. |

[Tribute’s Train] “Well Caesar, my name is Shinji Matou,” Shinji introduced himself with a large television-friendly smile. “And may I say it is an honor to meet a living legend such as yourself!” Shinji is good at buttering people up. Kimi, on the other hand, sat up and gave the best smile she could. “… My name is Kimiko.” […] Rica shook his head and looked over to Nyea. “Never judge based on appearances. I remember one year the winner was a twelve year old girl who looked like a twig. Nobody expected her to win… and nobody expected her to have the stomach to rip open a man’s throat with her teeth, but she did both.” The Hunger Games are kinda effed up. |

Tribute’s Train "It's very wonderful to meet you too! What an upstanding young man!" Caesar grinned watching as the camera zoomed in on Shinji for a moment and then turned Kimi. "And Kimiko, what a beautiful name for such a beautiful girl!" He said. "How do you two feel about being chosen for the games this year! It must be an honor!" [...] Melanie bit her lip, feeling a bit sick. She couldn't even picture her ripping open someone's throat..It was so violent. But she supposed she would have to do it if push come to shove... |

I can't see what you're imagining

-Tribute's Train- “Well, you'll have more opportunities to wow the crowd,” Ila said to Kxs, “You're a cute girl, I'm sure you'll get sponsors!” She paused, thinking, “And maybe you'll get lucky like me! An earthquake took out most of my competition during the Games!” One that she had caused, mind you, but she hadn't been trying to do that. Galv glowered at the TV, or more specifically, Shinji. “I bet he dies first...” Galv muttered. Because he was planning on killing him if at all possible. He glanced back towards Melanie, “You shouldn't trust that guy...I have a bad feeling about him. He doesn't actually want to help you...” Erin stood off to the side, letting Shinji and Kimi answer questions, looking nervous. She hoped they wouldn't ask her questions either. This was her first year mentoring, her psychologists clearing her for it. They're jerks. -Spork Residence- Agoi smiled, hugging his daughter back. She had red hair, much like his sister. It sprang up in his family every now and then. “Hammah's smart, I'm sure he'll be able to keep himself and Kxs safe,” Agoi said, “He's good with animals too. I bet he'll find a bunch of animals and they'll help him out.” Now I'm picturing Hammah riding a Deathclaw, pumping his fist in the air triumphantly. -District: Small House- Cess stopped outside the small house Musashi and Sama were in. He paused, glancing around, then knocked in a pattern, letting them know it was him... |

Tribute's Train A blush flowered on KxS' cheeks. "Um, thanks. I suppose I might." She highly doubted it. Who would sponsor someone who lived off of garbage for half of her life? Capitol: Small House Shimera loomed close by, yet kept her distance. What was with this mysterious house? Ooh, it must have been a Rebellion hide-out. She had never seen it before. Yet, assuming was never a good idea. She had to stick around and find out. |

[Tribute’s Train] “Well you know Caesar, I volunteered.” Shinji said in his usual casual voice. He smiled over to the cameras and the gasp of the audience. “My family has a long standing history of service to the glorious Enclave, and I wanted to experience the Games and entertain my fellow citizens.” He was treating this like it really was a game. Kimi, meanwhile, merely shrugged. “I’m not really an outdoors-y person, so I’m just hoping this year will be somewhere warm.” […] “… I doubt he’ll be the first to die. He’s too cowardly. Usually the first one who dies is someone who thinks he’s unstoppable.” Rica mentioned. [District: Small House] Musashi opened the door, wearily, but when he saw Cess he gave a grin and opened it all the way. “Clear! Come on in man.” When he said clear, Sama came out of the next room. He was holding a rifle. |

Tribute's Train Unexpectedly hugged by the cute girl...Shipper blushed in response before slowly wrapping his arms around her. "Think so? It'll be difficult! But..with your fire..and my solid Earth..we can win, ya know? Oi!" Smile, smile. ---- Izaya dodges a fist aimed at his nose and licks his lips. "What's wrong, Shizuo-chan? You seem to be missing quite a bit today. Your luck must be out." Shizuo grunts drawing back. "You'll get yours, you little.." Grits his teeth. "I'm saving all of this for the games. You're DEAD." |

-Tribute's Train- “You're an underdog!” Ila told Kxs, clapping her hand on the other girl's shoulder, “People love underdogs! So we'll play that up!” Hammah nodded, “It's true, you are. Even more then me. My family was decently off, considering everyone else in the District...But you had to scramble to survive...” Galv frowned again, staring at the television. His father's power...it had helped him in the Games, made him impossible to kill. “Well he's not going to win,” Galv glowered, “Melanie is...” Aiden smiled, enjoying the hug, though she didn't realize the effect she was having on the boy. “I bet we can!” she said, now stepping back from Shipper, still smiling brightly. “We have time until our interview, what should we do?” -District: Small House- Cess entered, nodding to Sama and Musashi. “Good news. I found some new people to join the Rebellion, and to help out with the plan Nanami's been hatching,” Cess said, “One of them is an inventor, good with machines...and they have two people close to them in these Games...” |

Tribute's Train Shipper smiles. "We should talk..try to find our mentor...and learn more about each other. We're going to be fighting, side by side, right? We need to develop a tight bond, now." He sits down. "So..so...which part of Panem did you come from?" He asks. |

I can't see what you're imagining

-Tribute's Train- Aiden paused, thinking, “Ummmm, near the eastern border, by some mountains. It's kind of cold, and a lot of people mine coal...I'm kind of kept at the orphanage though, because of my power...don't want me setting things on fire with all the coal... “What about you, where do you come from? I bet it's some place really neat!” she added. -Woods: Seemingly Abandoned Temple- Vines overran the old temple, looking worn out. Dust was everywhere, undisturbed as an old man moved through the halls carefully. He stopped outside a door, opening it up a crack and slipping inside, closing the door behind him. No one else knew about this place. Not even Nanami. Old Man Sensei took a deep breath, looking at the old electronics in the room. He walked over to a radio, tapping it, seeing a red light. Power. Of course there was still power here. It had been built to last, and Old Man Sensei remembered when he found this place, decades ago. He put on a headset, turning on the radio, searching for the right spectrum. “...Aaron...Aaron Kimball...It's me...” Old Man Sensei said, “You always monitor this channel at this time...I need to talk with you...” |

[District: Small House] “Good… well, not ‘good’ about them having people in the Games, but… you know what I mean.” Sama rubbed his neck, always putting his foot in his mouth. Musashi nodded. “We need to be careful, though, if they’re family of the Tributes, then the Enclave will be keeping an eye on them.” |

Tribute Train Shipper frowned. "I'm sorry for that...you should live where people would want you." He looks out the window. "I was born and have lived on the farm lands near a grand river. Lived as a farmer all this time, I guess. Mom and Dad like how I can make the soil nice and fertile, they tell me. Oi! It's a lot of work, but I guess it's worth it." He leans back with a smile, tightening his bandana. "We got to visit the Capitol sometimes. That was always a treat...so tell me more about yourself." He winks with a grin. Aradesh: Kimball's Home Aaron Kimball, the Leading General of the Grand NCR army, had recently retired for the day. His house was rather medium size, smaller in comparison to the more elite members of the NCR. That said, Aaron spent more time in the war room planning on how to deal with the Legion than he spent at home. But it was that time and day that he had so often checked a certain machine. He heard a voice crackle from the distant Radio..the glorious thing about radios was the fact they were very underutilized in this time. Most of the other organizations avoided them...but Aaron always enjoyed using them. He finely tuned the radio to eliminate static before putting on his own headphones and pulling a mic close. "General Kimball. I hear you loud and clear." His voice was strong and rich. It was obvious Kimball was a charismatic man..and could probably write one hell of a speech. "It's been awhile, Old Man. What can the Bear do for you today?" He asks. New Vegas Word was out. There was work here, in the city of sin...just waiting to be plucked. Cole McGrath walked in town as anyone else did. But unlike others, who came to gamble their hearts out..Cole on the other hand...came for work. Word on the wind was that a courier like him could find good work in New Vegas. And when it came to his job...Cole had became INFAMOUS. On his way in, he had to deal with several raiders. Nevada was swarming with them..the enigmatic head behind the entire place clearly didn't care much about the places outside of New Vegas. He also probably didn't know a group of organized raiders with dynamite had surrounded the city, claiming toll money from visitors. Oh the odds were stacking up. But the city of sin was large and very impressive..a basin of freedom and shame. If one thing had stood out to Cole..it was the amount of people. Several NCR soldiers, wasted and off duty, were loitering around. Citizens from all over..with the exception of Panem...had come to drink their weight in booze while trying their hands at games. It was impressive to say the least. |

-District: Small House- “We'll have to help them anyways, if we're going with Nanami's plan though,” Cess said, “Besides, we're going to need a way to bust up those shield generators, and having another engineer on the team will help.” -Tribute's Train- “About myself? Well...ummm...I'm an orphan...” Aiden answered Shipper, thinking, “Apparently I was found at the orphanage when I was a baby, left there...Don't know who my parents were. No other people around who looked like me..” Aiden had tanned skin, but her hair was a shocking white color, along with odd red eyes. Her appearance was somewhat unusual, even for a place like the Capitol. “I've never seen the Capitol before! I hear it's really shiny and nice,” Aiden sighed, looking wistful, “I wonder how much we'll get to see before the Games...” -Seemingly Abandoned Temple- “...We need help...” Old Man Sensei said, sighing, “The Rebellion against the Enclave here is falling apart...we just don't have the man power or the ability to recruit many to our cause. But...we're working on a plan. I need your help. We don't have the resources needed to pull off this plan...I need your help, old friend...” -New Vegas- As Cole McGrath entered New Vegas, a Securitron rolled up to him. “Howdy fellow,” Victor the Securitron said, “You're Mr. McGrath, aren't you? Mr. House would like to extend a job offer...” |

District: Small House Shimera listened in, lying low but close to the house. She held in a giggle. She felt so sneaky and devious. What a ticklish feeling. Tribute's Train Underdog, huh? KxS never thought of herself as an underdog. Then again, a lot of things happen in life that you never think about before. When she was a very young child, she never thought her parents would disappear. A few years back, she never thought she'd meet Jimi. A good number of minutes ago, she never thought she'd be chosen as a Tribute. "Hm...I guess that could work out for us," she said as she rolled her shoulders to ease the tension in her back muscles. |

The Capitol: Holding Area Lavan shrugged. "Eh, my name IS a bit long for casual conversation, so yeah, call me... "Strudel". It's a fitting name, considering I'm absolutely delicious! Well, at least I think I am. Not everyone would agree with that fact, but hey. Not many can handle me! Gally certainly couldn't, he just dumped me in here to wait for the judgement day." Once he heard the man's name, he chuckled a bit. "Pibb? Well, there we go! There is delightful irony in this somewhere, when a delicious snack and a drink end up rooming next t one another. I wonder if they'd allow us to room together... Would be nice to have a roomie! I wonder if they have paints." While speaking, Lavan continued to do a little light exercising. He knew that he needed to be in PEAK condition when entering the arena of the games, which meant exercise. Lots and lots of exercise so he wouldn't waste away. Muscles had the property of degrading over time, and his body was at the peak of its metabolism: if he wasn't careful, those muscles would start to wane. Before, he kept his body in shape by messing with the Enclave. Exploding bases, running away from Peacekeepers and soldiers alike, living life on the edge... It all contributed to some rather impressive musculature, even though it wasn't build for strength. Lavan wasn't strong, not physically at least. His strength translated into motion, into speed and reflexes instead of raw physical power. An athletic body looked better too. The ladies were ALWAYS impressed, especially since he was so fond of vests. He never got cold with his powers either. Kinda helped him make his choice of wardrobe. "Say, Pibb. You certainly have a sad story behind it. Do you remember any happy stories? Anything to lift your spirits with, anything to pass your days here in the dank nether regions of Donny Gally's private prison cells? Cause if you don't, I can lighten up your dank little netherworld a little. Got some funky stories to share, that I do. Well, if you would care to live vicariously through another... Some don't really care for it, you know." |
