[The Capital: Streets] The moment Galv mentioned his dad was from the District, Shinji jumped away from him as if the boy might have the plague. Shinji made no move to hide is disgust, and he even wiped his hand off on his pants. “Well, I suppose flukes do happen.” Shinji just responded, and then he decided to ignore Galv, instead turning his attention to Melanie. “Ah, hello there. It’s ever so lovely to make your acquaintance.” He grinned to her. [Rebellion Headquarters] Nanami closed her eyes. The moment Old Man Sensei mentioned a rallying point, she knew what he meant. Once, that had been her. In a way, it still was. She was still seen as a symbol of the Rebellion, but she was no longer someone who inspired hope in people. Not like she had been. “… Then I’ll find one.” Nanami said, her voice now pained at the memories. “Because I can’t sit and watch another batch of children die for sport.” |

District Outskirts "Holes?" The man peeked out from his impromptu cover, and... Stuck his tongue out at the incoming armored man with water on his arms. "More like moles! You have them all over your face, by the way, might wanna check that acne problem. Wanna buy something for that? I always carry SOMETHING that might help! Oh, and I hope you don't mind if your buddy vertibird has a few problems with flight patters for a minute or so!" One stick of dynamite wouldn't do much. Neither would 10. But 10 sticks of dynamite fanning overhead and bouncing off the vertibird's windshield before detonating? If that didn't do damage to the bird, it would at least disorient the pilot. That's what the man was hoping for anyways. "Say, you wouldn't mind playing a little game, would you? I call this one: guess where I planted those landmines! All you have to do is guess where you need to step! You win if you don't blow up, you lose a leg if you step on one! Simple, right? Or are you not in the mood for games? Because that would not be sporting at all." He jumped out of his little hidey-hole, rolling to the left and coming up in a loose defensive stance, looking like an absolute amateur of martial arts. His stance was a bit sloppy, his defense full of openings, and he even had his toes point at one another. All in all, he appeared to be... Well... Like it was just pure luck that he managed to get by. "So, wanna play that game? Or are you going to try and change the rules?" |

I can't see what you're imagining
|
-District Outskirts- The figure in the blue armor paused, staring at Lavan. After a moment he removed his helmet, tossing it behind him. The figure had blue eyes and blond hair cut short. “I'm not very fond of games,” he said, holding his hands up. More water began to appear around him, raising into the air, moving forwards. “And I don't have time to play around.” The water grew more numerous, the figure seeming to make it appear out of nowhere. He clenched his hands, the water suddenly freezing into numerous ice shards, then brought them, both in front of him to actually test for land mines, and around Lavan! -Capitol Streets- Galv and Samuel both frowned at Shinji now...Galv more so now that it seemed Shinji was making a move on Melanie! “All of us here are from the District,” Galv said to Shinji, “And I bet I could take you in a fight!” “Galv, be polite,” Samuel said. “Not everyone in the Capitol is the same, remember?” Galv frowned now, then sighed, nodding. His mother, Levina, had been from the Capitol. It had been the one thing Samuel had been glad for with the Games... -Rebellion Headquarters- “Don't do something stupid...” Old Man Sensei said, knowing Nanami would do something even if he forbid it. “And if you come up with an actual plan, then come to me, talk to me about it. I will support you. If I think it'll work.” And of course Nanami wouldn't come to him with a plan unless she didn't think it would work... |

District Outskirts Lavan blinked as ice appeared all over the place, and shivered momentarily. He HATED ice. It was cold, freezing, and it arrested his momentum. And that was always a bad thing. Judging the area where the ice shards were most likely to impale, he stumbled back a few times before falling on his ass and avoiding the shards headed for him... And incidentally placing his palms on the ground, channeling a little bit of his own gift, and detonating the area from underneath, creating flame pockets remotely around him and releasing his control over the heat and pressure, letting the explosions fill the area like true landmines. Once the explosions and dust started to settle, he pointed at his opponent in mock indignation. "AHA! You DID change the rules! And here I was thinking no Enclave soldier had two brain cells to rub together! Not like they often do that anyways, rubbing them would just hurt a lot. Well... I wouldn't know, actually. DOES it hurt?" He shrugged. "Doesn't matter, I suppose." He stood up slowly, stumbling a little. "Say, think you're good with that? Think you got rid of all of them? What if I told you there's one right underneath you? What would you do then? Would you jump? Would you move? Or am I bluffing?" He shrugged. "I wonder about that. You say you don't have time to play, but you're playing my game already. Care to continue, or have you used up all your lives and patience already?" |

[Capitol Streets] Shinji just shrugged to Galv and Samuel. He was a bit surprised to see that Samuel, someone in a uniform, was so… enthusiastic about the District. Of course, Shinji was too arrogant to pay attention to former winners who were men, so he did not recognize Samuel. “I have no interest in fighting you. Even if you are from the District, you’re here now, so I suppose there’s no use in getting upset with you.” Shinji shrugged his shoulders, and kept his attention – and eyes – on Melanie. [Rebellion Headquarters] Nanami shook her head. She had no preconceptions that her plans were anything but stupid. “I wish I had a plan. Even a stupid one. But all I have are just vague goals.” She shook her head. “But we have to do something… I can’t keep watching this happen.” |

I can't see what you're imagining

-District Outskirts- Unfortunately for Lavan, Walter was not one to banter with opponents. “...My armor can handle any sort of land mine you would have gotten access to,” he simply said, “If you wish to end this quickly, then fine.” Water condensed back from the vapor Lavan's fire had created, sending it at Lavan in a rushing blast! It was also cold, bits of sharp ice hidden in it's onslaught... -Capitol: Streets- Galv continued to frown at Shinji... -Rebellion Headquarters- “We need more people to back us up...we have a handful of people within the Enclave...but not enough to do much...” Old Man Sensei frowned, “We need more help...” He sighed. When he had 'disappeared' decades ago he had wandered the wild. He had spent some time in the NCR. They seemed nice, possible allies, but they didn't have the power to help challenge Panem, but he had kept some contacts... He had ran across the Legion, and had been taken captive. He fought his way free, knowing the only sort of help they might be would be a distraction. But the Legion would simply be trading one demon for another. He had seen the lights of New Vegas and marveled at the lost technology that this mysterious Mr. House had. But Mr. House was a man who cared not for the individual, just the money in their pockets. He would only support the Rebellion in Panem if he believed it benefited him. “We need that public support...if we can get enough people here to start working against Panem...we might be able to get help from the outside...” |

[Rebellion Headquarters] Nanami sighed, leaning against the wall. She was not impatient, quite the opposite. She knew the importance of taking her time and making strategic moves. It was how she had survived the Games. She was calm, cool and extremely intelligence. Still, after an entire decade – and after what the Enclave had taken from her – every day that passed only made her more eager for revenge. “You have a point. I know you do… but we won’t gain any support by sitting around with our thumbs up our asses. The District knows that the Capitol is horrible, but they don’t see any use in rebellion. We’ve been fighting for a decade and haven’t made any tangible progress… and it was a rebellion that started the Hunger Games in the first place.” Nanami sighed, her forehead tense and her eyes closed. “… We need to do something big. Make a daring, flashy attack right on the Capitol. Maybe on the Games themselves. Even if we don’t have the manpower to actually do any REAL damage… if it was flashy enough, it might make people think we’re stronger than we are… give people a reason to support us.” |

District Outskirts "Woop, I think it's time for me to make a-" Lavan had to duck before he finished his sentence, rolling clumsily and knicking against the same rock he tripped over before. "-LOW PROFILE! Yipe, you're scary!" Rolling yet again, Lavan started up his momentum... And started to roll about on the ground almost randomly, looking like some sort of demented earthworm. This, however, rolled him up the little hill and dropped him back behind his previous little cover hole with a loud "oof". "... You know, did you ever think that playing with steam was not exactly fair? Or do you people have no concept of fair? Eh, whatever." A bunch of cherry bombs came flying out from behind his hiding rock, scattering about and popping... And suddenly flashing brightly as the magnesium inside lit up, turning previously harmless-looking cherry bombs into potent, extremely bright magnesium bombs. "HEEHEEEEEE!!! Nya-nyah, can't catch this! Can't touch this! Can't see this! Can't-" An explosion from where he was hiding send debris and his cover blasting to pieces, sending dirt everywhere, obscuring the are from sight with dust and some smoke. There was a moment of silence... ... Followed by a rain of dynamite incoming for Walter from behind the smoke cover. |

District: Spork Residence KxS nodded firmly at Hammah. "Yes, this is my last year. Hopefully I'll have a lucky break and I'll never hear about the Games again. "I hope we all have a lucky break," she said softly. She was glad Jimi KxS hugged her bag lightly and hoped on her lucky plush that none of the Spork children were taken. She took a deep breath. Her heart was jumping like a frantic kangaroo and her emotions were getting the best of her. She had to stay strong. For Jimi. The Capitol: Streets "Thank you~!" Shimera sang. She loved complements. All pretty girls do. She then stopped and twirled around. "Here we are sweetie! Ivory Street~" |

-Capitol Streets Melanie didn't know Galv nor Shinji very well, but she was polite none-the-less around them...Even when they were going back and forth bitterly. "I'm...Fine, thank you" she said to Shinji with a small smile. She didn't want to look too nervous about the Reaping...Especially in front of a guy who was willingly about to thrust himself in the danger. "We really must be going" Kanna said, watching the scene with a frown. She looked to Jason who moved forward and took Melanie's arm. She was led from between Galv and Shinji and placed into a black car that just pulled up. The District: Hob Crystal giggled a bit as Musashi approached her. She knew both boys and was very much used to their antics...In all truth it was comforting to see someone making the best of the District's horrible situation. "How are you both today?" She asked with a smile. Hopefully their day was going better than hers... District: Spork Residence "You don't know that" Colette said wisely, allowing her brother to finish her hair. She tugged at the hem of her dress and looked up at her much taller brother "What if I am? I don't think I can be that mean" Then Colette jumped when a knock came to the door. "Is it KxS?" [...] Rose snapped out of her stupor when a knock came to the door, revealing KxS.... "Good morning darling" she said sweetly, getting up and moving to the girl. "You look wonderful my dear" [The Capitol "I did" Seneca said with a grin "And i'm highly impressed with the vast array of mutations present in this year's games...Brand new ones, and of course our old favorites. The Capitol will be so entertained!" The man took a sip of his wine as his colleagues gave nods and murmurs of agreement. From her spot the teenage girl, Sarai, tried to keep her head bowed. While no sound came out she was mouthing everything Crane said...It was her way of remembering. |

[District Outskirts] The Vertibird was still here, but it had not gotten involved in the battle. The staff knew that Walter was one of the best, and they did not expect him to have any problem fighting against this ruffian, even if Lavan was more skilled than the usual rebels they battled. Still, to aid their commander, officers leaned out of either side of the Vertibird and started to open fire with high-caliber rifles! They were trying to hit Lavan’s arms or legs – and yes, they were aiming for his knees – in a hope to stop him without killing him. Luckily, these are nameless NPCs so they can’t shoot for $#it. [Capitol: Streets] Shinji sighed as the girls left. Without women around, he had no reason to be here. He paused and then decided to turn around and walk away without a word to Samuel or Galv. They were men – and men from the District – so he had no reason to bother with them. […] “Ah! Thank you!” Coral seemed relieved as they turned onto a new street. “I really appreciate it… I get so lost in the Capitol.” Most residents of the District were not allowed in the Capitol except on official business. Coral was one of the lucky few who came here on business often. The unique plants and flowers she grew were well sought after here. In the Capitol, the flowers were often used for decorations… back in the District, those flowers were sought after for medicinal purposes. She hated the idea of selling the flowers to people who would simply use them to decorate a hallway… but Coral’s family needed the money. [District: Hob] Sama sighed and shook his head. “Not so good… Reaping season brings out the worst in everyone.” It was a true fact. The Hob was never really a sociable place, but usually there were at least a few people laughing at rude jokes about the Capitol, or grinning over the food from the various shops. Today, everyone was miserable. Some were worried about themselves, or their siblings or children. Other just hated to watch another year of the Games. Musashi groaned. “Oh come on! There’s no need to be so down. Besides, I think you-know-who is going to do something this year.” “You-know-who” was Nanami. She was such a famous rebel that mentioning her name in public was never a good idea. [Capitol: Gamemaker’s Office] Maddox gave a bow, pleased at the words of praise from the Head Gamemaker. “I’m glad you think so, sir. We’re still going to be working on a few last minute additions. You’ll have so many choices this year, you may just want to let my creations eat all of the Tributes.” Maddox is a little crazy. |

District A very young man stood behind the counters of a pub. Blonde hair and azure shades. A bartender outfit. He was rubbing a glass nonchalantly as customers came and went, the continuous smell of food in the air. He had recently turned 18..but he knew the risk wasn't up yet. He had to attend the reapings one more time. Hopefully he wasn't picked. He hated the thought of that. Shizuo sighed. It would be just his luck to be drawn anyway. Rebellion HQ A man in a lab coat was hard at work in the closed doors of a very small, very cramped lab. He dabbed his forehead with a cloth and looked down. Junked lined the room in various piles. He pushes up his glasses and sighs heavily. Michael Grassi was in conflict with himself. "This is my big chance...this is it. I can finally put my name out there. I would never have succeeded with that under the Enclave...mere grunt work." He looks up and around the room. "I will prove myself here. This is where the true challenge lies. It's time to set to work. And by the end of these days, the world will know the name Michael Grassi." He shuts off the recorder. An audio log. He puts it down and opens the door. He took a stroll through the headquarters now. And that's when he heard her voice. "..something flashy" He hears. Something...Flashy...He slowly smiles. He steps out and walks over quickly now. "You want something flashy? I can do it." He volunteers. Grassi smirks. The leader and the face together. And soon, he would establish his own position...and if he had it his way, he would be the brain. |

District Outskirts Finally, the vertibird joined in on the fun and games. The problem? The man in red and black had managed to put up a rather effective smoke screen, and the gunfire was as precise as raindrops against a windshield. "Oh, jeez, NOT THE KNEES! ... Heeeey, that rhymed!" After another second of continuous fire, the voice from the smoke cloud shouted again. "DAMMIT, I knew I shouldn't have left that thing in the air! This isn't fair! This is ganging up against an innocent civilian! ... With bombs... Doesn't matter, still NOT FAIR in any respect!" Finally, he had to tumble out of the smoke cloud, coughing slightly as he did, avoiding the worst of the fire. Having tumbled out, he drew attention with some more sticks of dynamite, but those were, yet again, another distraction. A whistling sound suddenly came from the remains of the smoke cloud, followed by something shooting into the air and impacting directly with the vertibird. That something then began to smoke, and warning alarms flashed into life on the vertibird's control panel as whatever hit it breached the hull into some of the sensitive electronics... And exploded. Not a very large explosion by any means, but definitely enough to hurt. And enough for the pilot to start worrying about. "And theeeere she gooooes! Ladies and gentlemen, I offer to you a special service tonight! Enclave En Flambe! Thank you, thank you, I'll be here all wee-... YIPE, Watch it with the ice!" And he yet again had to start rolling around, avoiding Walter's next assault. This battle was already lasting longer than usual, and the man was STILL mostly unhurt. Any bruises he collected was from his own clumsiness, pitfalls, rolls and various other clumsy acrobatics. Nonetheless, somehow, he still remained relatively undamaged. "This is FUN! Kinda like the one time I had to run from some noble guy's front lawn after covering his backyard in toilet paper. Who knew that he had a shotgun? ... And that his daughter usually has her window open at all times... Maybe it was because I decided to pay a visit? Naaaaah, HAD to be the toilet paper..." |

I can't see what you're imagining
|
-District Outskirts- Walter was very much like the element he controlled. He was stoic, calm, standing still and able to wear down opponents. And at other times was a powerful force, capable of drawing on large reserves and simply overwhelming people. The magnesium bombs momentarily blinded Walter as the dynamite flew at him. He heard gunfire, could smell the smoke in the air. “Enough.” From Walter's hand water seemed exploded, shooting forward in a giant torrential wave towards Lavan. He couldn't be entirely sure what Lavan was doing, or what even was coming at him, so he made a wide range. The water would hit the dynamite, putting out the fuses, drenching them as the wave of water barreled right at Lavan! -District: Spork Residence- “We can always hope...” Agoi sighed, then smiled towards his wife, “We were both lucky to never be chosen...perhaps it'll be the same for all of us...” Hammah frowned as Colette asked if she was chosen, what would happen then... “Colette, if you're chosen, I'd take your place...” he said softly to the red headed girl, “Jimi told me the same thing when we were younger, that he'd look out for me...He's too old for the Games now, so now I'll be the responsible one.” He was quiet enough so that his parents wouldn't hear him. He didn't want to worry them. “Well it'll be over soon, at least for the year, on who goes and who doesn't...” Jimi said, moving a little closer to Kxs, “After the Reapings, why don't we go out?” He paused, realizing how what he said could be interpretted, then quickly blushed, shaking his head, “I mean all of us! We'll get lunch. I'll treat.” -Rebellion Headquarters- Old Man Sensei rubbed his chin, glancing towards Grassi as he entered the room. “Appearance would help...show we're still out there...If we can disrupt the Games...well, then that would be a big blow. It would prove that the Enclave are not quite as strong as they believe,” Old Man Sensei said, thinking it over, “Michael, do you have something in mind?” -Capitol: Streets- Samuel and Galv got in there own vehicle, heading off as well towards the Reapings. Galv was still annoyed about Shinji. “When you come here often enough, you start to learn the twists and turns.” A figure stepped out from an alleyway, very pale with jet black hair. He was quite tall, though seemed a bit lean, almost as though he had been stretched to his height sometime in the past. “Shimera!” the figure grinned, turning to the blonde haired girl now, “Who's your friend here?” |

District Outskirts A torrent of liquid shot towards the red-haired man, catching all of the dynamite sticks right as they flew, putting out the fuses and decidedly sending them back at the man in red... Well... That was the plan, except the dynamite exploded the moment it came in contact with water, completely ignoring the fact that the fuses were no longer lit, scattering the water wave heavily enough and forcefully enough as to disrupt control. That's when the man in red jumped to his feet and rushed straight at Walter, completely ignoring everything else... And he jumped into the air, readying himself for an apparent win as he brought a hand down, a lage stick in said hand, looking rather victorious. Except he wasn't. Jumping into the air was one of the stupidest mistakes in melee and power combat, because if you could not fly, you could not maneuver in the air. And without that maneuverability, you became a sitting duck. It only made him look stupid instead of victorious and heroic, especially when he finished that with "I HAVE YOU NOW! YAHOO!!!" |
