[The Tops] Connor smiled to Sarai. Despite the horrors of the day, and everything that had happened… he still felt hopeful about Sarai. Then Castor returned, and Connor frowned. “We can leave in a few minutes. I need to heal Sarai first.” Connor explained, and he walked over to Sarai and softly placed his hands over her bruises. The golden light started to glow from his hands, and her bruises slowly started to disappear. [Legion Territory] Rica frowned and knelt down. He reached into his pocket and pulled out the scope for a sniper rifle. He glanced through it, looking down at the Cove below. “… Lots of Legionnaires. Damn… more than I expected. We’re going to have to be very careful, Sammy. There’s enough they could overpower us. They throw some chains around our legs, tie them to weights and we can spend the next several years at the bottom of the lake.” |

The Tops Sarai let Connor touch her, the warm light spreading around her skin and causing the painful bruises and cuts to vanish as if they were never there. She gave a sigh when everything had vanished, trying to smile at her boyfriend. "Now that you're all finished I must insist that we get going. There is a train back to the Capitol, very private and one of the only ways back into Panem. You will be safe in there. It's how I usually smuggle my...Employees in." Castor explained, ushering the group out of the room and down the hall. He made sure to take a back stairway, just in case someone has reviewed the security footage. At the bottom of the stairs and out a door was a waiting car with tinted windows. Gem was in the driver's seat. "Hurry in everyone" Castor said, motioning to the car "We mustn't be late for the train" The Ultra-Luxe "What does he want?" Melanie asked with a frown, looking around for Jane...She didn't mention the woman though... |

[The Tops] Connor felt a little worried that things were still awkward with Sarai, but he said nothing as he healed her. Soon Castor whisked them all out of the room, down the back stairs and into a rather nice car. Cars were a rare luxury in New Vegas, and the nice ones even rarer. Connor was a bit worried, since having a car meant having a lot of Caps, and that meant making someone a target… but he hoped Castor knew what he was doing. He sat in the back (in between Chloe and Sarai, just because we have to make this as awkward as possible) and he leaned back into his seat. |

The Tops The car roared to life, the group heading off onto the street at a rapid speed with the four teens squished in the back. Sarai found herself staring out one of the windows, noticing people staring back at them from the street. Instinctively she moved for Connor's hand, intertwining her fingers in his while keeping her eyes on the street. Chloe was trying to ignore the two, so she turned her attention to Edda....And his rather strange case. "What's that? You carrying an instrument now?" |

[Castor's Car] Connor smiled over to Sarai as she took his hand. He felt a little reassured with their fingers intertwined together, and he was able to relax a little for the first time since the incident with Ryan. He didn’t say much, but he did lean against Sarai slightly. |

I can't see what you're imagining
|
-Legion Territory- Samuel peered through some binoculars he had stolen from a dead Legionary, looking over the camp. “Definitely a few cages...I see a couple figures. Can't see Galv or Melanie, but they might be hidden, or elsewhere,” Samuel said, sighing. He looked over to Rica now, “We'll have to be careful. Act like we belong there. Hope we can bluff our way through...” -The Ultra-Luxe- “You'll see...through here,” the guard said, pointing to a door. Another one opened it up, and Galv and Melanie were herded into the room. It was nice, decorated like a well off office. A desk was in front of them, a figure sitting in a chair, the back to them. “Leave us,” the figure said behind the chair. “But boss...” “I'll be fine,” the boss said. The guard nodded, closing the door as he left, the three standing guard outside. “...We were told there were two other people in charge...” Galv said quietly, frowning. “Well...they handle the minutia. Things I can't be bothered with. Unfortunately it seems Mortimer is acting up, trying to bring this group back to their...less then primitive roots, before Mr. House came and put them in line,” the boss said. “Them...?” Galv asked. “Ohhh, clever boy,” the boss laughed, “No, I don't consider myself part of the White Glove Society. I was a....free lancer, when House showed up back up. I offered my services, and in exchange I became the head of this little tribe. I'm one of Mr. House's Aces in a hole. I'm sure he has more, of course.” The chair spun around, the boss revealing himself. He had dark skin, wearing a nice suit as he smiled at the two. “My name is Joshua Nadir. You may call me Mr. Nadir. And I have to thank you for helping me and that man I hired,” the boss said, “I was beginning to think he'd have to drop the case.” -Castor's Car- “You didn't see earlier?” Edda said, then grinned, “It's my supplies. Medical supplies, survival supplies, things like that. And a custom made Anti-materiel rifle, made by the Gun Runner's for me. Works like a sniper rifle, with enough punch to get through even power armor.” He had put the case in the trunk of the car though, since the back of the car was cramped enough. “I use it when I'm exploring the Wastes. A shot from that tends to keep away any raiders...and puts down any creatures who won't be scared,” Edda added. |

[Legion Territory] “… We’ll have to keep our heads down. Only speak if we absolutely have to.” Rica frowned as they got a bit closer to Cottonwood Cove. As they got closer to the Legion encampment, they would see several people strung up around the camp. Most of them were long-since dead; a warning to anyone who would enter Legion territory without a good reason. Rica really hoped the kids weren’t here… [Castor’s Car] Connor frowned. He wondered what it was like to explore the wasteland the way Edda did… it seemed dangerous. He stopped and wondered how many times Edda had been forced to use that rifle on a person… Connor shuddered. No matter how hard he tried, he just couldn’t shake the dark thoughts about what he did… |

Castor’s Car Chloe leaned back into the car's seat, giving a whistle. "Impressive" she said to Edda. While she considered herself tough, Chloe had never left the Capitol before the games. Her parents, trainer, and handlers wouldn't let her anywhere near the borders...Everyone had too much too lose if she ran off. "Now when we get to the station keep your heads low. Don't speak to anyone and keep close until we get to my car. I own it and have made sure it's not bugged. We'll be safe there" Castor explained as Gem continued to drive. She was forced to slow to a stop as they hit a red light. Sarai peeked out the window, catching sight of a couple of men watching the car...Walking over. She could see their mouths moving but since the windows were rolled up she couldn't hear them. "Heads down...." Gem said. The Ultra-Luxe Melanie couldn't help but to shake a bit as they walked into the room, the girl clutching Galv's arm tightly as they walked. Nadir revealed himself...And Melanie bit her lip. "W-What do you want from us?" Please don't say dinner. Please don't say dinner. |

[Castor’s Car] Connor frowned as he saw the men approaching the car. He was immediately worried, and that doubled when Gem told them to get their heads down. Connor did as he was instructed, and he made sure that Sarai’s head was down too. “What do you think is going on?” He asked Chloe, who seemed to be pretty street smart in these situations. |

-Cottonwood Cove- Samuel and Rica entered the camp, not getting any looks from the others so far. Both were tall males in good physical condition, they fit the Legion profile well enough, especially with the armor on. Samuel headed over to the large cage in the center of the camp. He couldn't find Galv and Melanie... Where were they? -Castor's Car- Edda kept his head down, keeping calm. If worse came to worse... His hand reach down near his leg, where he had a knife strapped there, hidden beneath his pants' leg. -The Ultra-Luxe- Nadir paused, smiling, then leaned back in his chair. “Very tempted to say 'dinner' but that would be crass of me,” Nadir laughed, “No, I wanted to thank you for your help in clearing all this up. Perhaps you didn't actually do much, but your presence was the final little push needed to get the evidence we needed. No, in a few hours Mortimer and his cronies will be receiving some...Wasteland justice. We may say we're civilized, but there's a few things we still haven't let go of.” He smiled at the two, “I don't know why the two of you are here in New Vegas. I doubt this is some elaborate plan of the Enclave. It's too...risky for what I know of Gallic, and too subtle for Autumn. But I can tell you're the two to watch for. I'd like to offer you a more permanent room here at my casino, if you want it. You can come and go as you please, and carry weapons into the casino if you want. In exchange...” Nadir leaned forward now, “I want you to talk to whoever you're here for. Tell them the Ultra-Luxe is interested in helping them, and would be more then happy to provide some information.” |

[Cottonwood Cove] Rica peered around the camp, trying to keep his head down. He didn’t want to make eye contact with anyone. He doubted anyone would recognize him as being a stranger if he avoided their faces, but he didn’t want to take the chance. He checked several of the cages, and frowned. “… Maybe they’re not here.” Rica sighed. “… Who isn’t here?” A voice asked, and a young man with messy hair and heavy armor that seemed to be made from concrete approached them. There was something vaguely familiar about him. |

Castor’s Car "Cars aren't that common around here...Maybe they're just curious" Chloe said with a frown "Or they want to rob the rich idiots who decided they wanted to drive around New Vegas" she added as an alternative. Gem rolled down the window, looking to the men when were now standing next to her door. Castor handed her a large bag of caps, which she handed over to the men without a word. One of the men counted the money while several others peered into the other windows. Sarai tried to keep her head down, but felt as though the guys were starring right at them. She peeked up again only to catch eyes with one of the men who were looking inside of the windows. With a squeak she brought her eyes back down, tightening her grip on Connor's arm while the men hooted and hollered from the other side. There was even a cat-call. Castor noticed the commotion, handing Gem more caps... Chloe could hear the noise on the other side of the car, and unlike Sarai she was not afraid of such advances...In all truth they were rather humiliating and rude. She leaned up, looked one of the hooting men in the eye and flipped him off. Castor groaned, handing Gem MORE caps. These children were going to make him go broke. The Ultra-Luxe Melanie frowned....They REALLY shouldn't be making deals with cannibals. "We won't-we can't" she corrected, deciding to go the slightly less rude approach lest they get turned into a kebab. "We're not suposed to be here....We can't let anyone know anything about the people who are helping us...It's a matter of life and death." |

[Castor’s Car] Connor kept a tight grip on Sarai’s hand, and kept his head down. When he heard the men cat calling and making a commotion over the women, he looked up long enough to glare at one of the men. He didn’t like the idea of these guys looking at Sarai like that. Still, he said nothing… he didn’t want to start any trouble if he could avoid it. He did have to wonder how Castor got so many caps… he was clearly a very wealthy and likely very powerful man. [The Lucky 38] There are many casinos in New Vegas, but one stood out among all the others. It was a long tower with a disc-shaped top floor, and it was an oddity around Vegas. The Lucky 38 was THE most prestigious of all hotels… or at least, that was the rumor. No one knew for certain, since no one had ever been inside. The only things to ever enter or exit the Lucky 38 were the robots that worked for the Lucky 38’s master – and the man in charge of New Vegas; Robert House. No one knew much about House, and no one had ever seen him in public… he was rumored to have been alive since before the Flare Incident. Nanami approached the door to the Lucky 38, which was guarded by a robot. She looked over to the Securitron. “… I want to see House. Tell him it’s about the Platinum Chip.” |

-Cottonwood Cove- Samuel frowned, turning to the man with the concrete looking armor, glad he was wearing a helmet to help cover his face. “Orders,” Samuel said, “Someone sent us to look for a couple possible captives. Two teenagers, boy and girl. Boy is red headed, girl has long black hair. Short. Have you seen anyone like that?” He hoped he wouldn't be asked whose orders... -Castor's Car- Edda sighed, frowning at the people, glancing towards the others. “They're not going to try and rob us, not in New Vegas,” Edda said, pointing out the window towards a Securitron who had rolled forward, watching the crowd and the car, “If they did they'd be shot by the Securitrons. So we're safe there, at least...” -The Ultra-Luxe- “You misunderstand. I don't want you to tell me who you're working for,” Nadir said calmly, “Just to pass on my message to them. Then they can decide if they want to approach me or not.” Galv frowned. It made some sense... “I...guess we can pass the message on...” Galv said, “That's all we need to do, right?” “Of course,” Nadir nodded, “The room will be open for you two regardless, if you two want some...alone time. I'm not expecting you to rush off and deliver the message right now. Enjoy the casino for a bit. I'll give you some special V.I.P. cards. You'll be able to go anywhere you want. And everything will be on the house.” The phone on Nadir's desk rang, and he reached forward, picking it up. He listened for a few moments, then smiled, “Excellent. Good job. Pay Russel and his companion, will you? Add a little extra, I'm feeling generous.” Nadir then hung up the phone, turning his attention back to Galv and Melanie. “You two are free to leave. And oh...” he paused, then reached into his desk, producing two bags of caps, handing one each to Galv and Melanie, “Have fun.” Galv glanced towards Melanie. This was...not what he had been expecting. -The Lucky 38- The Securitron stared at Nanami, looking over the young woman for a few moments. It didn't say anything, but the door to Lucky 38 opened up... |

Castor's Car After giving the men a few more caps Gem rolled her window up, and the group continued on in the car. "Edda is right...Not robbery...But bribery" Castor nodded, looking back at the group "New Vegas is safe...But a bit corrupt. Of course we have enough money to keep trouble at bay....Well as long as certain passengers keep their heads down when they are told to." Sarai frowned, leaning on Connor's shoulder. They drove for almost a half hour before stopping at a small train depot. There was a long train, mostly cargo, sitting on the tracks. Several cars attacked on the back seemed to be for people. "Are you all ready to head back to Panem?" Gem asked, stepping out and slipping on a hat over her silver hair and a pair of large sunglasses over her eyes. The Ultra-Luxe Oh good...They didn't up in someone's soup. But Melanie was still rather confused. She frowned a bit but gave a nod, accepting the arrangement for the moment. She couldn't deny that it would be nice to have some alone time with Galv....And she was tired...A nice sleep perhaps? She was still worried about being turned into a kebab.... "Alright...We'll take it....T-Thanks, I think...." she said, pushing her hair behind her ear. |
