Tribute's Train Melanie was walking through the train, the girl quiet and curious....She couldn't help but to be....She had never been on a train before.... When she was led aboard Melanie was brought to her room. She was told that her mentor and partner would be coming to see her soon but until then she had a bit of time to relax....She took this time to drop off her coat and go though a package of clothes and papers that was left on her bed. She was now done with that....She needed to walk around...Perhaps it would clear her mind. She nervously twisted a finger around her long curls and turned a corner. [...] Sarai had boarded the train after all the tributes, officials, and camera crews. She was a part of a small handful of Avoxes who would serve the tributes... The girl was now in the dining car, eyes down with three other Avox men. They were serving supper tonight. It was obvious that someone had tried to cover up her many new bruises and cuts on her face with cakes of ill-matching makeup...She felt like a clown. [...] A teenage girl walked into the dining car, paying no attention to the Avoxes. She had short brown hair and dark eyes and lacked the nervousness that most tributes had...She took a seat at a far table, expecting her mentor and partner any time now. |

[Tribute’s Train] “I am sooooo screwed.” Van, the pale young man who was desperately trying to grow a mustache to look a little more intimidating, was leaning against one of the seats on the train. He sighed, looking up at the ceiling. “How did it get to this point?” Van sighed. […] Connor was in his room, pacing back and forth. He was still enraged over the Peacekeeper who had attacked him, and who he was sure had abused Sarai. He hated the Peacekeepers, he hated all of them. They were a useless bunch of idiots… Connor wondered what he could do. He knew that in a few days, he would probably be dead… but if he could somehow save Sarai from her fate, it would be alright if he died in the Games. Maybe he was obsessed with saving Sarai because he knew he couldn’t save himself… or maybe it was because she was so cute. “Ahhh…” Connor groaned, collapsing on his bed. “Why…?” […] Rica was in his room, at the sink. He was doing the hardest thing he had ever done… pouring his precious vodka down the drain. “That b***h…” Rica sighed, thinking about Kanna. If it was anyone else, he could have stayed drunk… but he couldn’t let Kanna’s daughter go into the arena without being as prepared as possible. So Rica was cleaning up his act… and it put him in a terrible mood. He sighed, and headed out of his room. He still smelled of booze, which didn’t help his craving for it. He turned down the hall, heading for Melanie’s room, when he noticed her in the hallway. “Oh. There you are.” Rica grunted. “You seen the boy?” |

Tribute’s Train “Oh. There you are...You seen the boy?” Melanie jumped, turning quickly and catching her breath. She couldn't help but to wrinkle her nose...The man smelled of alcohol but seemed nice enough...Okay maybe not nice, bearable was a better word. "N-No...I haven't seen him yet" she told Rica. She then stepped forward. "I don't think I properly introduced myself...I'm Melanie" She didn't know of her mother's relationship... |

[Tribute’s Train] Rica looked down at Melanie and sighed. She looked a lot like her mother… he paused for a moment. It was actually a little creepy how much Melanie looked like her mother… His eyes… wandered, and he had a few horrible, horrible thoughts. “It’s… very nice to meet you Melanie.” Rica grinned. “You look a lot like your mother, you’re very pretty.” |

Tribute’s Train Melanie blinked, pushing some of her hair behind her ear....This guy's demenor changed a bit, but strangely enough for the better. It was reassuring...Sorta. "Thank you" she said polietly, suddenly thinking about something..."Ummm...You knew my mom? N-No offense, but I don't think she ever mentioned you before today..." Ohohohoho |

I can't see what you're imagining
|
-Tribute's Train- “Oh, there you are...” Galv now appeared in the hallway, seeing Melanie and Rica. His partner, and their Mentor. He tried to give Melanie a reassuring smile as he walked over to them. “Hello Melanie,” Galv said, “I don't know if you remember me, but my name's Galv, if you don't...” He wasn't much taller then the girl, maybe by just an inch or two. But his wild hair made him seem a tiny bit taller then he really was. He rarely combed his hair, since his electrical powers would often mess it up. |

Tribute's Train “Hello Melanie,” Galv said, “I don't know if you remember me, but my name's Galv, if you don't...” Melanie turned to see Galv show up, the boy smiling at her. She tried to return the gesture and push away the pit in her belly. She wondered if she would have to kill him...Or if he would have to kill her. "Nice to meet you Galv" she answered back. She then looked from Galv to Rica...This was her team. She wondered how she fared in comparison to the other tributes. [....] "Oi! Wake up in there!" A loud knocking would come to Connor's door, shaking it a bit. Behind it was Chloe, the girl from the dining car had been sent to get her partner. |

I can't see what you're imagining

-Tribute's Train- Galv knew he'd need to talk to Rica alone later, to tell the man we wanted to make sure Melanie won, no matter the costs. But he couldn't say that in front of Melanie. He didn't want her to know that... “Well...I have electrical powers,” Galv said, speaking up, “I'm pretty good with them, myself, though I've never done any sort of competition with them...But I can use them in a few other ways. Like, I can sort of control metal, if I zap it first, at least...” |

[Tribute’s Train] Rica paused, it hit him like a ton of bricks when Melanie told him that Kanna had never once mentioned him. Then again, he supposed she had no reason too… Kanna didn’t need to introduce her kids to every old boyfriend she had… Rica didn’t even notice Galv when he walked up, instead lost in a world of thought. He was still buzzed, but with no fresh alcohol in his system, he was slowly sobering up to the world, and he didn’t like it… “Hmm…” Rica looked down at the two. “Electricity? Well that’s useful. MacGrath won with electricity back in the day. Still, it’s a flashy power, so you’ll have to be careful. You won’t be able to hide and use something like that… well, we’ll figure it out.” He then rubbed his neck. “Okay, children, listen to me. I’ve been where you are, and I survived. I will do everything I can to make sure the two of you survive as long as possible, but you’ll have to do everything I say.” He paused for a moment. “Come on. Let’s go to my room. We shouldn’t talk in the hall.” […] Connor opened the door to find himself face to face with… Chloe. He blinked a few times. “Um… who are you?” |

Tribute’s Train Chloe raised a brow when Connor came to the door, it seemed as if the girl was looking him over...Sizing him up. "I'm Chloe, your partner" she said simply, obviously not impressed. "Where are you from District or Capitol?" Chloe was blunt. [...] Melanie blinked when Galv started to mention his powers....She wasn't sure why he was doing that so easily...After all wouldn't they have to fight soon? Surely he was holding something back. “Okay, children, listen to me. I’ve been where you are, and I survived. I will do everything I can to make sure the two of you survive as long as possible, but you’ll have to do everything I say.” This brought her back, and hit her like a ton of bricks. She gave a little nod and followed him into his room....As soon as they made it she was hit with the strong odor of liquor, and glanced at Galv. |

[Tribute’s Train] Connor just blinked once again as he looked at Chloe. SHE was his partner? That… was a big worrisome. “Um… I’m Connor… I’m from District.” He rubbed his neck. Chloe was a little intimidating. […] Once Galv and Melanie were in Rica’s compartment, he sighed and sat down on one of the chairs. The smell of alcohol was strong in the room, and it made him want a drink… and he knew he couldn’t have one. These stupid kids. “Alright. I know what the boy can do. What about you?” He asked Melanie. “Any powers? Special skills?” |

Tribute’s Train "District...Ugh...Great..." Chloe muttered, running her hand through her short hair. "Well you don't look like you were dirt poor so maybe you can fight....Or not...Maybe you can just look pathetic and the sponsors will give us crap" Chloe seemed to be plotting Connor's purpose without his consent. She girl then motioned to the door. "Come on, we need to fatten you up a bit more. If now you're gonna die three minutes in" [...] Melanie didn't know where to sit down....everything looked a bit grungy (even though they had only been on the train for a short while) but eventually she took a seat on the bed and played with the hem of her dress. "I'm...Not that talented" she said carefully....She needed to play this carefully. "I play the piano, sing and stuff....I don't fight." This wasn't a lie. She enjoyed the finer aspects of growing up in the Capitol. "My mom always told me I couldn't be chosen for this" |

[Tribute’s Train] Connor felt a twinge of annoyance from what Chloe was saying. She was the typical Capitol attitude, and Connor hated it. He crossed his arms. “Well you’re a bright ray of sunshine, aren’t you?” Connor asked, crossing his arms. “I’m not hungry, and I don’t intend to die.” […] Rica looked at Melanie and he raised an eyebrow. The piano and singing wouldn’t do a thing in the Hunger Games. “Alright, well, we’ll have to figure something out… I’ve seen less talented Tributes win.” Rica rubbed his neck. “First thing we need to decide… do you two want to work as a team, or independent? If I’m training you together or separate, I need to know.” |

Tribute’s Train “Well you’re a bright ray of sunshine, aren’t you?” "Thanks for noticing" Chloe said with a sarcastic grin "An I already know you're going to die, because i'm going to win. It's simple logic after all....But until we get to that lovely moment where I stab you in the liver with a rusty dagger we have to work together- so come and eat. It's way too depressing for you to sit in here away from all the cameras after all" [...] Melanie thought about Rica's question for a moment...Before looking to Galv....She wondered what he wanted...She was almost afraid to agree to train with the boy considering how they would have to turn on eachother....But on the other hand she didn't want to spend her last few days looking over her shoulder and paranoid.... "I'll work with him...."She answered, as she cupped her hands in front of her. A small dark glow came from them "And...Ummm...This is what I do." |

Tribute's Train KxS was sent here of course. She noticed a familiar head of blond hair. "Hammah!" she cried out. She was glad to see him now. It was better than meeting him later in the arena. She waved to him to get his attention. District: Office #72 "Aw...well, okay Cess," Shimera sighed. Of COURSE she would sneak after him. She didn't want to be away from Cess again. She was going to spy on him like a...um, spy. |
