TriOp Labs Korenchkin was clearly bothered by Nanami's complacency. But his tone of voice didn't show this. "I'd definitely think about...it will be something to see, for sure. Now if you excuse me, sounds like Grassi has something for me." He passes her without another word. GNR Tower "HelloOOOOOooooo!" A voice sang out. "This is Three Dog, and you're listening to Galaxy News Radio, Bow wow! Now, the talk of the Town and probably the rest of the world is all about the Von Braun. A little birdy tells me it will be manned by the best scientists and soldiers the UNN and TriOp have to offer. And they're heading out into spaaaace...where no man has gone. Rumor has it they're calling this 'Operation Frontier.' Where no man's gone and all that good stuff. "Seems like it wasn't too long ago that good ol' NASA fell out and seems like it was even less time ago man first touched the great Moon in the sky. Makes a guy wonder just how far we've come." Three Dog's voice continues to sound off across the airwaves. Diner A man walked in as the two came for the way out. He paused in front of them, a pair of two more men following in behind him, flanking him. But one look into their eyes would tell you they were androids: artificial humans built to perform like humans. And, if one had superior knowledge in robotics, it was easy to tell they were older models. They had M-16's strapped to their back. The man leading them in had a service piece, an expensive looking laser pistol. He halted the two. "Pardon you two, but...have you heard of any odd happenings going around here?" Alex asks. Rumor had it they were mysteriously losing technology around the small diner. Soldiers and, more often, police would be knocked out and awoken later to find their weaponry, if they had any, was missing. Similarly, Scientists were reporting similar problems if they happened to be traveling with technology of varying kinds. And Denton was assigned to bring it to a stop. |

N.Y.C.: Rooftop Shimera grinned. "Oh yes, I heard of it! It sounds so exciting~" she chimed as she stood up and twirled. "I wouldn't mind taking a trip to space!" N.Y.C.:Streets KxS ignored Samus for a minute as she realized she was missing something in her grocery bag. "Oh geez, I forgot milk, of all things," she muttered. The "cowgirl" sped ahead, hoping to find some milk. Diner Kaito turned his head toward the odd man and his androids. He said nothing as he faced away from them to look back at his table. For now, he'd just listen in. |

[Diner] “Is there a problem, here?” Sama asked as he walked out of the kitchen. There was an odd man here, and he had armed androids with him. “We would prefer you not bring weapons into this establishment… we have a sign on the door.” |

Diner The two androids shifted into a pose but the young man stopped them with a wave of the hand. He produced his wallet, showing his badge. "Special Agent Denton of the UNN. I have all the warrants I need to investigate this area." He shuts his wallet and places it back in his pocket. "Are you the proprietor of this diner?" He asks Sama now. "If so, I have a few questions for you." Alex Denton smirks a bit. The two androids remained rigid and silent. "Oh, pardon the weapons. But based on reports, it seems as though it was prudent to have them." |

DC: Marine Barracks Didymus paused. "...sir, if this is just a politician wanting to get in FRONT of the cameras, rather than being BEHIND them...well, I can't help but form my own opinions on what's happening here, sir, but the fact remains that it's an unhealthy situation altogether one way or another..." He took a deep breath. "...and I'm pretty sure you'll have to fight for me if you want me. I think I've already been presented as the incompetent fool and/or backwater hic who got those poor boys killed to their families..." NYC Rachel blinked after KxS. "Um...groceries..." she said. "...that makes me wonder how the supply situation aboard the new ship will be...and you should try to shift focus away from machines and towards people when you can..." she said. "...it's just healthier..." |

[Diner] Sama frowned as he saw the badge and the warrants. This was not good, and the boy knew it. “The proprietor doesn’t come in much. He’s 72, usually stays at home and drinks wine.” Sama informed Denton. “Listen… I can see you have the warrants and all, but we get a lot of very wealthy and politically powerful people eat here…” Sama said slyly. “Anyway, I can call the proprietor, or I can try to answer your questions.” [DC: Marine Barracks] Diego smirked and clapped Didymus on the back. “I can handle a fight. I’ve had my fair share. I need people I can trust on the Rickkenbach… we’ll be dealing with TriOp wahoos who think they’re in charge. We need to remind them that they’re not.” [NYC] “… I prefer machines. People are more annoying and society frowns on ‘dismantling’ them.” Samus sighed. |

Diner Denton wasn't amused by the implications. Denton saw the UNN as the law. Alex scans over Sama with his purple eyes. "If he isn't here often, he's got less use to me. I assume you're here a lot, as an employee? You won't mind if I ask you a few questions?" Alex asks. He then crosses his arms, his laser pistol dangling in its holster. "Alright. You have a room where I can conduct an interview away from the public?" Von Braun - Construction Site "-HEY! I said move it over here!" "Be careful with that thing!" "You could kill a person with that." "Where are the droids? I need a little help over here!" "Where's the blueprints for Deck 5-A?" These shouts were echoed throughout the large room. The Von Braun sat underground, away from the public's eye. It was a big ship. Could carry thousands. And it was a self sustaining ship; with the biologist department's watchful eye, the hydroponics deck would supply oxygen and produce. There would be a lot of supplies, ranging from preservatives to weapons to robots to meds to simple things like paper. Delacroix walked up. She smirks, clutching her PDA. She begins an audio log. "It es finally seeing the light of day. Our dear Von Braun. It will be capable of flight fairly soon..I just hope that Korenchkin doesn't rush this...that creep will do anything for money. Note to self - check the umbilical and make sure the Rickenbacker will fit. I need to run a system's check on Deck 2 and wire the ship up for the master AI. Emergency sy-stems will need to be checked for functionality. We need to install terminals as quickly as possible on deck four and complete cryo. So much work, so little time..." She pauses again. "Meet with Grassi soon and see if I can get a date on plugging up his AI. Check with Korenchkin on funding. I also have to meet this man, Captain Diego, and explain plans for the Von Braun...the more I talk, the more I realize this mission will depend on so many others. And..it makes me nervous." |

[Diner] “He’s rarely ever here. I’m the head chef, so I’m here every day… but I spend most of my time in the kitchen. Like I say, we’re often pretty busy and the politicians don’t like to be kept waiting for their food.” Sama then motioned for Denton to follow him. “We can use the manager’s office, in the back, by the kitchen. Follow me.” He led Denton to the office and sat down in a spinny chair by the computer, and then looked up to him. “Okay, so how can I help?” |

Diner Denton had followed Sama in. An android stood outside the door, watching..the other stood by the blue haired singer, watching him. Violet looked over to the robot wordlessly, watching his movements. Denton offers a smile. "As my boss, Diego, likes to say: let's get down to brass tacks." He places a hand in his pocket. "We have some Intel that there's a group that's been stealing our technology. They strike our patrols, steal their firearms and armor if they're wearing any, and pocket any technology they can pick. The thing is, they like to do it on this road and a few other streets, all of which I've been assigned to search thoroughly." Alex looks at Sama now, placing a hand on his desk. "So. Have you seen any suspicious activity? Do you know anything about this group of bandits?" |

[Diner] “That’s terrible!” Sama said, frowning to Denton. “I had no idea someone was doing that… and you said on this street? Man… that’s pretty damn scary.” Sama shivered a bit. “Though… you say they’re tech thieves? That’s odd… maybe some hackers? I don’t know. I can’t imagine anyone who would be stupid enough to attack UNN patrols…” He shook his head. “Sorry, I wish I could help, but this is all news to me.” Of course, Sama was lying… |

DC: Marine barracks "I...hope so, sir. As for showing TriOp who's in charge, I've never been one to demonize corporations, if you'll pardon me, sir, in my position I'm more concerned about the public sector overstepping its bounds than the private one, but suffice to say..." He paused, then chuckled. "...heh. Maybe this will work after all. If they can't make an example of me, maybe they'll be satisfied with hurling me into space." He paused. "At any rate, sir, I would welcome your support, but I'd like to warn you to get involved at your own risk. It seems I really stepped on someone's toes and even IF I'm acquitted I've already suffered public slander that may not fade for a while..." NYC Rachel paused. "Oh, come on, don't talk like that..." she said. "...you're human too, you know. You don't need to act disconnected...that isn't healthy either..." she said. |

[DC Marine Barracks] “… Trust me, if you knew half of what I do about what really goes on at TriOp…” Diego stopped mid sentence and shook his head. He did not like to talk about the corporation once owned by his late father. There was far too sour a taste in his mouth about the whole thing. “As it stands, this is a UNN Mission. TriOp may have built their fancy spaceship, but this is the first manned mission this far out into the unknown, and the UNN has command, not Korenchkin.” He then turned to Didymus and shook his head once more. “Public slander is a nasty thing… especially when its turned on someone who doesn’t deserve it instead of the people who do…” He remembered the spin on the Citadel Incident... it was one of the things that got Diego hot under the collar. [NYC] Samus shrugged her shoulders. “Maybe… but aside from you and Adam, I don’t have much attachment to other people. I’ve always preferred solitude.” |

Diner Denton crosses his arms, slightly skeptical. "You sure about this? These criminals must be stopped at all costs. The UNN cannot risk this kind of thievery." He warns Sama. "Are they hackers? Intel says otherwise. Seems to use they're a group of mercs, maybe." Alex lies. He had a sneaking suspicion they were former UNN soldiers, but he wouldn't let the UNN look weak in public. That was against his mission. He sighs a bit, his PDA going off. He picks it up and shakes his head. "Damn meeting in a bit...the world's abuzz over this ship." He turns to leave but stops. "Oh, I intend to leave one of my androids here to watch the place. Survey for those nasty thieves and protect the restaurant if need be. He's named Armitage." Denton pauses. Then shakes his head. "I'll dispatch a soldier later on to pick him up after, oh, say, a few days." He then held out a card. "My number if you get any problems out of him or see something." He then leaves. As he leaves the room, he walks to Armitage, says a few quick words, then leaves with the other robot in tow. It was nearly time for the meeting over the Rickenbacker. |

[Diner] “Oh my, that is pretty scary…” Sama nodded. Then Denton went on to say he wanted to leave an android at the diner. Sama frowned, and decided to try not to do this. “Actually… I’m not sure having an armed android here is a good idea. I understand the desire to keep everyone safe, but at the same time having someone armed here might spook the customers…” Sama frowned, and looked to Armitage. “Well… crap.” |

DC: Marine Barracks “As it stands, this is a UNN Mission. TriOp may have built their fancy spaceship, but this is the first manned mission this far out into the unknown, and the UNN has command, not Korenchkin.” "Aye, sir." Didymus said. "And whether or not I deserve this, sir, the fact remains it's already happened. Someone wants me to pay fro some perceived slight, I have my presumptions as to why and what, but at any rate, that's the way it is." He sighed. "So it's your decision, sir, but a word of advice-this may get you marked if you try to interfere." NYC “Maybe… but aside from you and Adam, I don’t have much attachment to other people. I’ve always preferred solitude.” Rachel paused. "You know, I think I knew a guy like that once, but I don't know...he actually just wanted friends too, I think. No man-or woman-is an island, Samus." |
