I can't see what you're imagining
|
-Littlelip Theater- “I have my ways...” Jenny said to Snake, “And...my dad has a few connections, you know.” She sighed slightly, frowning, “It's been a while...You kinda disappeared, after the war...” -Docks- Aaron frowned in the gloom. He had trouble seeing in low light, so he knew he'd have to trust his other senses for now... “Okay...we got Lalia...we should get out of here before we get caught up in anything else...” Aaron muttered. -Hospital- “I honestly don't know...” Galv answered, “But she's the only person I can think of you might be able to...” He sighed, rubbing his forehead, “We can try and talk to her tonight...I should be able to get an audience with her...But maybe you should stay here, with Blake and Joyce...” |

[Littlelip Theater] “I disappeared for a reason.” Snake said, turning his head for a moment. “That war…” He paused, and shook his head. He decided not to go down that road. Not to remember what had happened in Germany during the Great War. “What are you doing here, Jenny?” [Docks] “Leaving is a good idea.” Nanami agreed. |

Littlelip Theater “If you think you’d just go walk away and not be bothered when you get laid off from all you ever wanted, then yer crazier than a longhorn dropping.” "I didn't say I wouldn't be bothered. That I wouldn't be depressed, or angry. I just said I'd try to put it in perspective and still try to do good even IF I felt like I'd been...messed over." He shook his head. “Look here buddy. Even if you didn’t want us to work for a Japanese officer, you could have transferred us. You could have given us other jobs – but instead you just dropped us all. ‘cides, I ain’t talking about Japan. Look, I love me the Samurai, but I know what’s going on with Shiny’s dad is pretty effed up right now.” "Transferred you? You mean kept a unit operating at precisely the same proceedures and precisely the same duties as he was aware of? WHERE could we have transferred you? With respect, Miss Sunrise, I get the impression that you would not fit in in a proper military service-but you were STILL welcome-still ARE welcome-to try." “At the same time, I know Shiny, and you don’t. I know he ain’t one to attack America. He came here for a reason, and y’all won’t even talk to him. Instead you send him away and keep working on learning how we can fight him. The only person in the Japanese military I can help you beat with what I know is Shiny – and he’ willing to talk to you. He’s here wanting to help us. And y’all don’t even care.” "Interesting. The way I recall it, I spoke with him and attempted to be cordial despite initial friction, and I intend to convey his statements to my superiors as soon as I can. In the meantime, we are trying to be ready. And you STILL refuse to answer just WHY you're so convinced he's no threat, that when the chips are down he WON'T give everything for Japan's expansionist policies-policies which have led to NAKED AGGRESSION against Japan's neighbors EVEN AS WE SPEAK. You have failed to respond to WHY you are so convinced that if the chips are down, he won't side with Japan if and when we go to war. All you've done is rail about how he's some sort of savior who will be able to persuade his entire nation-despite the actions of his father, his father's council, and ALL of his siblings-that they need to change course. We WANT peace, Miss Sunrise, and probably WILL be willing to talk to him-but in the meantime we are trying to be PREPARED should the worst come to pass." He took a deep breath. "Miss Sunrise, I've tried to be reasonable, I've tried to show circumspection. But unless you just want to rail at me about how evil my service is and how you have no desire to help the country protect itself because of a controversial decision by the administration than you will have to do the same." |

[Littlelip Theater] Gemini paused for a moment and raised an eyebrow. “… Maybe y’all just one of them yankes who can’t understand me with my accent, that or you got some real selective hearin’… or maybe you’re just dumb as a horse tryin’ to run backwards. So I’ll be real clear here, so y’all can understand.” She paused once again, and sat forward in her chair. “I DID answer why I’m convinced he’s no threat. I told you – it’s because I know him. Because I trust him. You don’t know a dang thing about him, ‘cause you wouldn’t talk to him, what because you ain’t got the authority?” “I ain’t fail to respond to anything. I told you, I know him. He spent a lot of time here in New York, and he really liked this city and this country. He FOUGHT for this country. He risked his LIFE to protect it as part of the team. If that ain’t enough reason for you, then I can’t help.” She stood up. “Now, am I under arrest? If not, I’m leaving.” |

Littlelip Theater "And I was asking what EXACTLY about him gains your trust, Miss Sunrise. What qualities he has demonstrated. For now, I've got naught but your own opinion without the details thereof. You have not provided me with a detailed example of his character in action-you've just indicated his time with you and said that's reason enough, and that I should just talk to him. For one, OF COURSE he would help us when he's not experiencing a conflict of interest-a conflict which would suddenly be manifest should our countries go to war." He sighed. "As for not talking with him...I have a MISSION. I have a function to perform. I DID listen to what he had to say, I DID agree to pass it along to the men who COULD make a decision about it." “Now, am I under arrest? If not, I’m leaving.” "You're not under arrest." Didymus replied. "...if this is truly all you have to say...thank you for the time." he somehow managed to get out. When she was gone, Didymus pounded his fist on the table. "I knew I was going to hate this job." he said. "At least the other one was kind enough to answer my questions...I tried to be reasonable, circumspective, and courteous, and I just got emotion and insults. This is why they picked me for this job, I suppose..." He pounded his fist on the table again, clearly quite agitated. "...sorry about the display, Miss Basil. I just...this job...this miserable task...it reminds me of much I do not like...as well as showing me plenty of it in action...' |

Dockside Warehouse Kanna paused for a moment, attempting not to waiver in her confidence. "Of course not" she said, totally seriously. "I will do whatever needed to aid the Fuhrer's plans for this country. No one is more important." [...] Laila was relieved Musashi and the others were okay, but they couldn't just leave...Nor could they rush in there...It was complicated. "My mom is in there" Laila said, frowning and keeping her voice low. From her spot Adrianna stepped forward "Mom? She's here?!" It wasn't often the girl showed interest in something, but she did have a lot of questions to the woman... "She's inside, talking to some man about strange things..." Laila said, looking to Musashi "She knows who you are...And she's going to try and kill you." No wonder the kids all lived with their fathers.... Sama's Apartment Crystal was sure that Sama was still asleep...She made sure four times before coming back out to the living room and rummaging through this massive piles of paperwork and closed cases. She wasn't looking for a particular case....Rather she was looking for information on Sama. News stories, medical documents, closed cases that he was known for...Even his birth certificate. Once she found something interesting the girl would place it in her bag and go back to work. Crystal sighed, she knew she needed to hurry...She really liked this boy.....Like REALLY...But she had a job to do. Hospital Melanie looked from her children to her husband, a sad smile on her face. She knew the man was determined to help their son and would even deal with his sister to meet this goal. "Please be careful...." she said silently, moving forward and wrapping her arms around him. She rested her head on his chest. "Come back tomorrow, when Joyce gets out, either way...Even if Lilly can't help. The children will wonder where you've went." |

[Dockside Warehouse] “That’s good.” Red Skull nodded to Kanna. He was pleased to have this woman’s loyalty… but at the same time, he never trusted anyone. He was a trigger-happy madman. However, as long as Kanna was useful to the Fuhrer, she would be safe from Red Skull’s wrath. “Good. Then I look forward to meeting your friends… and I look even more forward to seeing this city burn down. Ha… Haha…” […] Musashi blinked. He had had some weird days since leaving Japan to return to New York… running through the Chinese countryside… crossing boarders secretly… avoiding the Gestapo… crossing the ocean… But this? He was caught flirting between two sisters, and now their mother was trying to kill him. Yeah, this one took the cake for the strangest day he had had yet. At least, for the time being. “Your mom wants to kill me?” Musashi frowned. He supposed that made sense… he HAD flirted with boy girls, and even kissed Laila! Surely Kanna would want his head for that! … probably, but this was actually bigger than that for once. “She knows who he is?” Nanami was more concerned with the details of Musashi’s secret identity. “Damn it… this could be bad…” Nanami was totally ready to fight Kanna if she had to. Oh I hope they end up fighting. Though it may be too awesome for the universe to survive. [Sama’s Apartment] With a grumble, Sama woke up… sorta. He was more like half-asleep at the moment, trying to make sense of what had happened in the last few hours. He had investigated a shoot-out at a night club (a rather grizzly scene, even by his standards), confronted a mafia boss (who was a semi-friend) and then things with Crystal had gotten complicated (but in a good way). Okay, this was the strangest day he’d ever had. And he had once investigated the death of a salesman on a hot tin roof on Broadway! It sounded like a crazy mismatch of theater, but it had been a lot more literal than anyone expected. That’s when he vaguely realized that Crystal was gone, at least from the room, and he could hear the sounds of papers and boxes being moved from the other side of the wall. “Wha…?” [Littlelip Theater] “I told you EXACTLY what about him gained my trust. Clear yer ears out, pardner. It was the fact that he was someone else… someone who ain’t never been to this country before… but he came, and even though things was a bit bumpy with him getting in the Sakura Teams… he fought hard to win OUR trust… and when he had to fight FOR America, he did, without a second though. Risked his life.” She crossed her arms. “I knew him. I spent a lot of time with him. I ain’t got time to tell you every one of the stories…” She stood up, and then left, once he agreed she was not under arrest. |

-Littlelip Theater- “I'm here because I was looking for you...” Jenny answered, frowning at him, “I've been looking for you for a while now...” She sighed, running her fingers through her hair. “Shouldn't that be obvious?” -Docks- “We can't exactly confront her...” Aaron sighed, thinking, “Not without revealing ourselves...” He paused, pacing slightly. “Either one of us goes...” Aaron said, looking at them, “Or we all get out of here and hide.” Aaron was also not going to let his sisters be the one that went... -Hospital- “No force on heaven or earth could keep me from you and the children,” Galv said, giving Melanie a quick kiss, then heading off. Once outside, he flagged down a cab, and was off! -Gallic Building: New York Division- Galv entered the building, and was soon stopped by a security guard. “I.D., buddy?” the guard asked. Galv frowned, shaking his head. “My name is Galv Hawkins...” Galv said, “Tell Lily I'm here to see her...” The guard's eyes widened, and nodded, “Oh! It's you...of course...Ms. Gallic has told us you're to be let through, right away...Top floor.” “I know...” Galv said, and took the elevator, heading up to the top floor... |

[Littlelip Theater] Snake paused, looking away from Jenny. He couldn’t look her in the eye right now. “… I’m sorry I vanished, Jenny, I just… I after that war, I had to get away. I couldn’t keep doing what I was doing…” He took a step closer to her. “… How did you track me down, anyway?” [Docks] “I’ll go.” Nanami said to the others. “Hey, wait…” Musashi started. “I can handle this. You should all get back to the safe house.” Nanami told them. |

Sama’s Apartment Crystal was so wrapped up in her investigation that she did not realize that Sama woke up...She had found an article from the newspaper more than a year ago about a case Sama had solved...The NYPD was being put to shame by a man who wasn't a cop or government offical. "Master detective or citizen vigilante?" Crystal read quietly....There were so many rumors about this guy. Dockside Warehouse "Good night" Kanna said, picking up her now empty bag and turning on her heels to head out. She then proceeded to walk out and look around....She was sure she had seen someone following her and listening in.... [...] "I don't know how she knows about you" Laila said to Musashi "I didn't even know she was in New York, I haven't seen her in a couple of years" None of Kanna's children had seen her in awhile...The woman hadn't been around much when they were children, and as they grew up Kanna was abroad more and more. The only time Laila saw her mother was the very occasional meet up between she, her father and mother. They were all rather awkward...Laila much preferred living with her father. Suddenly Adrianna looked past the group, hearing the click of heels. "Guys, someone's coming." she said, hushing the group. Hospital Melanie frowned, watching her husband rush off. She headed back into the hallway, leaving her children to sleep... She was curious of where Sage went off to.... |

Littlelip Theater Violet looked down at the complete transcript of the interview and then turned to Didymus. She showed her handy work: a drawing of Miss Sunshine and the Prince as well as a transcript and a few firsthand descriptions. She raises her eyebrow as if to ask if it was good enough. She did want to please him and he seemed fairly stressed.. Spade's Office Spade opened the door to his small office and took a seat behind his deck, planting sticky notes down on and his notebook aside. He removed his hat and trench coat, revealing a brown vest, a white shirt, and a holster strapped around his shoulder with the luger inside. He was wearing an ivory white button up shirt with an emerald green tie. He puts his palm onto his forehead. He needed a case, all of this Sakura Gang stuff had taken up a lot of time and money. He contemplated giving the evidence over to the police and letting them handle it. He walked over to his window and opened the blinds, looking outside. He sighed gently. |

[Sama’s Apartment] Sama soon emerged into the living room and spotted Crystal reading through some papers. He frowned for a moment. He supposed it was possible she was just interested in him… but then, she could have asked if that were the case. It was getting hard to ignore his detective skills… it seemed she was investigating him… but at the same time, if that were the case, then why would she…? There were just too many questions, and he was too involved to see the picture clearly. “That’s a good one, though they seem to imply I’m against the cops, which really I’m not, you can ask Lenny.” He said, leaning over her shoulder and looking at the paper in her hands. [Dockside Warehouse] Once Kanna headed out, Red Skull slunk back into the shadows. He has nazi stuff to do. Which can’t possibly be good for anyone. […] Musashi frowned a bit. This was… bad. He was angry at this Kanna woman for not being around her kids more! … Oh, and also for wanting him dead. That was probably the more serious issue at the moment. Musashi knew that if he failed in his mission, it would likely mean war would be inevitable… and perhaps it already was, but he had to try! Then, Adrianna announced someone was coming. Nanami tensed up. “You all need to leave. Now. Get back to the safe house… I’ll deal with her.” [Spade’s Office] A knock came at the door to Thomas Spade’s office. The person knocking did not wait for an answer before she came bursting into the room. It was Cherion Archer, former member of the Sakura Team and Ace Attorney. She had the same stern look on her face as she always had, and she didn’t seem to mind that she was technically entering his office without permission. She walked over to him and crossed her arms. “You’re Spade, right? The detective? I’ve heard of you. I want to hire you. Money is no object, as long as you can work fast and efficiently. Are you interested?” |

"S-Sama! I thought you were still asleep!" she said, stuffing the papers behind her. "I was just looking at a few things...Couldn't sleep" Dockside Warehouse "What?! We're not going to leave!" Adrianna exclaimed, eyes narrowed at Nanami "Adrianna, we need to get out of here! I doubt she's gonna just let us leave if she sees us with Musashi...Even if she is our mom!" Laila exclaimed, looking to Nanami "But you should come too! No offense but my mom is dangerous...." "Yeah, she'll kick your ass" Adrianna chimed in. |

Spade's Office Spade turned around, looking to the woman. Some work, she says. He began to cover up the work on the Sakura Gangs, but thought better of it. He didn't need any shade of doubt cast upon him or suspicion. No, that would be too much. He sat down in his chair and leaned forward on the desk. "Fast and efficient is what I'm known for." He smiles a bit and opens his notebook to a blank page. "I recognize you. One of the attorneys, right? Archer? Pleasure to meet someone with your credibility." "Let's get to business." He ran a hand through his brown hair, licked his lips, and clicked his pen. "What's the nature of this case? Give me some details and I'll see what I can do, Miss Archer." He noticed that, even for a suit, she spoke fast and would easily cut through any small talk. That was fine with the investigator. |
