-NYC Streets-

“Well...my hotel room is nearby...” Samuel mentioned to Kanna, smiling at the woman. “We could hide out there...”

D:

Sage frowned, still carrying Joyce, placing her carefully in a police car, an officer offering to bring them to the hospital.

“I'll take the blame,” Sage offered, getting in next to her. “Your dad doesn't seem to like me much anyways...”

"A hotel room? That could be interesting" Kanna said with a grin, following the man "Perhaps I could spend a bit of time...You can keep me safe"

Or something like that.

[...]

Even though she was in pain Joyce couldn't help but to give a small giggle. "If you said that this was your fault my dad would probably shoot you!" she joked, half wincing at the same time. "But I appreciate the offer"

-Samuel's Suite-

Samuel smiled, leading Kanna into the building, and up an elevator, to his suite.

It was quite large, and decorated nicely, even with some alcoholic beverages in a cabinet.

“Would you like something to drink?” Samuel asked, walking over to said beverages, inspecting them.

“Ahh, they got the year I want...” Samuel said, speaking mostly to himself, “1868...A quiet year for me, if I remember...”

He was muttering somewhat...but Kanna can totally overhear him. XD

-NYC Streets-

“Well then we'll both have been shot, and can heal together,” Sage said, grinning a little, not knowing Galv would shoot him with lightning. Repeatedly.

Didymus nodded at Snake's handiwork.

A most useful addition to the roster already...

He looked over at Violet.

And hopefully her duties will keep her away from this sort of thing...

He took the notebook and went up to her.

"Violet, stay in cover...and here you go."

He handed her the notebook.

"We've got to make sure the area is entirely secure."

[Musashi's Safe House]

“Drama is all that happens to us.” Nanami metioned with a sigh, taking a seat in one of the chairs and pulling out a police scanner. She quickly began monitoring police radios, to find out what was going on out there/

Musashi, meanwhile, shrugged and looked to the girls.

“Eh. If someone steals our stuff, that's fine. We mainly just need this place for safety anyway.”

[NYC Streets]

Volgin shook his head, moving closer to Galv.

"It is coming... the day on which we must all prepare... where will you stand when the day arrives?" Volgin asked.

Yes, because he knows WTF you're talking about crazy colonel man.

[Manhattan Cocktail Lounge]

Sama followed Crystal towards the back.

“Probably... places like this usually have a sleazy back room for people with cash.”

He just hoped that with the shooting, whatever was happening back there would have stopped happening. He approached the door and swung it open – and then sighed.

“... Dead people. Why do I always end up finding dead people?” He sighed, leaning against the wall. He shot a glance over to Crystal. At least this time he had cute company.

She looked up and nodded. She had composed herself at last but there was still a glance of fear. She suddenly thought if she got involved in any field work...well, her chances of surviving were little. She was weak. Didn't know kung fu. Couldn't walk up behind someone and disarm them. Couldn't bring herself to shoot someone...know, she was, in fact, useless.

She took her book and looked into Didymus's eyes. Why is he being so nice too me? For so long, I feared he would be like everyone else. Dismiss me like a servant..but he hasn't...

She then wondered how far Snake had progressed. He worked fast and stealthy. And she then privately feared whether or not someone on the enemy side possessed the same skills.

Didymus met Violet's gaze, for a moment, then looked up again.

"Stay safe, Violet."

He moved on, from cover to cover, working with Snake...it seemed the area was secure, and they were now moving in on the back room...

[Manhattan Cocktail Lounge]

By now, the nightclub had calmed down. The shooting had stopped, most of the armed people had been knocked out or disarmed – and the police had arrived.

Once the police burst through the main door, Snake paused and ran back over to Didymus and Violet.

“Say, Didymus... this unit of your's... is it the sort of thing you want local LEO's to know about?” Snake asked, raising a brow. If they had to keep this from the cops, it would be best to leave quickly.

"The area's secure and the cops are moving in?" Didymus asked.

"Yeah, I think I'd prefer if we kept a low profile. Violet, Snake, let's go."

He started making his way towards the exit where the police were NOT arriving from.

Hugging the notebook to her chest, she jumped up and quickly followed beside Didymus. Her face was flushed with fear. A few tears had fallen but she seemed perfectly alright in every other aspect. So she wondered where they'd get out...the police were surely everywhere by now. They'd have to cover some ground and quick. She quickly wrote a note to Didymus.

"I can hide you in the library until everything is quieted down, if you want.." It was only a suggestion, she had no idea what the other two had planned.

Didymus glanced over the note.

"Sure. Lead the way-but let's try, of course, to keep a low profile and act as inconspicuous as we can..."

Violet took the lead. She opened the exit and left quickly. Keeping calm and quiet, she lead Didymus and presumably Snake down a darker, much more hidden route too the library. Violet knew a variety of things. And she knew the town very well.
--------

Library (Anyone want to name it?)

They finally approached the city's library, a fine institute with several shelves and some city records. She took out her keys and opened up the entrance and walked in quickly. She wrote down something on a slip of paper. "Would you rather take cover in my backroom? If you don't think you need it, then that shall work too."

Didymus paused.

"Wherever you think is safest and makes the best hiding spot, Violet. You know this place better than we do."

Crystal followed Sama into the back room, jumping at the sight of three dead men. This was no joke. The girl carefully stepped around the group, looking around the room for anything. She noticed a few papers on the ground.

"Looks like orders" Crystal said, grimacing at the sticky blood on the paper "They had recently come in from Ellis Island....Dunno what the rest of this is though."

While the words were indeed English it looked as if it was written in military terms and slang.

Samuel's Suite

"Something to drink would be lovely" Kanna said with a slight grin, looking around the suite before taking a seat on his couch. She continued to examine her surroundings, always on guard.

“1868...A quiet year for me, if I remember...”

Kanna blinked, not sure if she had heard that right...Had he just said that he remembered 1868? That was impossible! That would make him-

Surely she had heard wrong...He looked much too young. Kanna now found herself, looking at him from over the couch, frowning slightly.

Perhaps she shouldn't have come up here.

NYC Streets

Joyce laughed, then grimaced once more "You're much too nice to me" she said trying not to move. "We'll be sure to hang out at the hospital, might be the last time we see each other for awhile..."

Musashi's Safe House

"You guys are like super spies or something" Laila said, collapsing into one of the chairs and kicking off her heels. She looked over to Musashi, smiling a bit.

Adrinna stayed a bit more formal, keeping her coat and shoes on, looking over Nanami's shoulder. "Where'd you get that?" she asked, looking at the scanner with an intrested look.

[Library]

Snake had, of course, come with Didymus and Violet. He made sure they weren't followed. Once they were inside, he took a seat at one of the desks and whipped off his beret, setting it on the table. He leaned back for a moment, looking around carefully with his one eye.

“Well that turned ugly fast,” Snake commented. “Wonder what happened at that lounge.”

[Manhattan Cocktail Lounge]

Sama was crouching over one of the dead men, examining the bullet wounds. It was a reeeeeeally gross job, but it came with the territory. He stood back up, shaking his head. He always hated this part of the job – examining dead guys was just gross.

“Oh?” He walked over as Crystal held up some blood-covered papers. He probably could figure out what they said, but I'll have to ask CR.

[Musashi's Safe House]

“Heeeey, we're not spies! Well... kinda... but we're really here to reconnect with my old team.” Musashi told Laila with a grin. He walked over and leaned against the wall next to her chair.

“See, a few years ago, back in the first war, I was part of a special team. All the other team members were American... they were the best... but I lost touch with most of them. Especially given what's going on now...”

Nanami, meanwhile, looked to Adrianna with a small smile. She could tell this girl was interested in these sorts of things.

“Actually... I stole it.” Nanami admitted. “Buying these are tough, but stealing one is a lot easier.”
