[NYPD 27th Precinct]

When Crystal moved to a completely new filing cabinet, Sama's interest piqued. He would have enjoyed trying to solve thirty four murders over the weekend, but if she had something unusual... that could be even more fun! Besides, despite his photographic memory, Sama wasn't sure he actually COULD solve that many cases in a hurry...

Though he would have loved to see Lenny's face if he did.

He walked over to Crystal as she explained about the rumors about foreign attacks. Sama's face fell... with the tension in Europe and Asia, it was no wonder... but the idea of someone attacking America seemed impossible...

“Well now that sounds important...”

And then she mentioned lunch. Sama grinned... if there were two things that interested him in the world, it was mysteries and girls. This was a rare chance when the two could become one...

“That sounds like a brilliant idea!”

“No,” Blake said, finishing his donut, hoping to get another one, “You're my big sister...you're really smart!”

He smiled up at her, both trying to get on her good side to get another donut, and just being his usual adorable self.

Galv smiled, kissing his wife back as she entered the room, getting up and looking around.

“Oh? Needing more space...?” Galv said, a grin appearing on his face, “Well, we could always have another kid. I know I won't complain.”

Didymus paused.

"I can wait, though I would prefer to get in contact with Miss Archer as soon as possible...government busniess." he said.

New York waterfront

Along the waterfront near the harbor, a blonde-haired girl with glasses was admiring the view.

She sighed. The sea was so peaceful...at least, from this angle. The harbor was busy enough.

The man frowned a bit, and eyes Didymus warily.

“... Government, huh? I know Miss. Archer had some kind of dealing with them back in the war...”

He shook his head. “... I'll take your word for it. She's heading to the 27th' Precinct to talk to the cops about a client, and after that she's heading down to Broadway to talk to some actor friend.”

“... Government, huh? I know Miss. Archer had some kind of dealing with them back in the war...”

"...back during the war?"

Didymus paused, and looked through a folder he had out.

"Thank you. In case she comes back, please inform her I stopped by."

He handed the clerk his card, identifying his name, rank, and his military affiliation, and scribbled his contact information at the hotel he had checked into on it.

He eventually flagged down a cab, and made his way to Broadway...

New York City Streets

"Awww you're such a good little brother" Joyce said with a little smile, shuffling her notebook and carefully retrieving another doughnut and handing it to him. "Make sure you finish before we get home, and wipe off all the power, you know mom doesn't like when you eat too many sweets.

Weird things happened when Blake had too much sugar.

Looking back to her notebook Joyce started to rant once more. "Some kids at school said I was paranoid, that I was making up stuff to get a story...But you can't make up the news yes you can I have valid sources for everything I write!"

Okay so maybe the crazy homeless man in the subway station on 34th street wasn't exactly a valid source...Perhaps if she could get a statement from the mayor or something!

Soon enough the two made it to their home, an old (but large) house on the corner. Joyce led her brother up the stairs, bending down to wipe his face of the sugar and finish the doughnut he was currently half done with. She then straightened up and headed inside.

"Moooooooom daaaaaaad we're home!" Joyce called out, dropping her bag by the door.

New York City:Hawkins House

"No more kids, at least for right now" Melanie said, wagging her finger in front of her husband's face. "We're much too busy as it is!"

Suddenly Melanie heard the door opening and the young woman smiled "Speaking of busy"

She then headed into the main room, greeting her two children like every afternoon. The woman went over to her youngest, picking him up "How are you my big boy? Like school yet?"

NYPD 27th Precinct

"Alright then" Crystal said simply, bringing the other files with her and leading him out of the room and back where various officers were rushing by and working. She stopped at Briscoe's office door.

"Mr. Briscoe i'm going to step out for my lunch break with Mr. Sama, would you like anything?"

She didn't mention the file.

Lenny Briscoe was seated at his desk, having just gotten off the phone with the chief of police. He looked stressed – as any cop would, when he just informed his boss that the Mayor was a crossdressing murderer.

“No, no... I'm fine, I brought lunch today but...”

Lenny shot a glance over Crystal's shoulder, where Sama was hanging around by the door.

Didymus had been here once before already today, and already felt edgy being back here again.

He looked through his file again, before putting it back in his briefcase.

Alright...I feel awkward trying to interrupt her on what is apparently a personal meeting...but if her secretary decided to point me this direction, maybe she won't mind...I'll just show up and ask if it's a good time, or at least set up an appointment.

He began his search for the attorney, his brain working...

...and if I can't find her, maybe I'll just scope out Littlelip again for any other members...

Blake had eaten his donut quickly, finishing it up as they entered their home, wiping his face on his sleeve.

“Momma!” Blake smiled as Melanie picked him up, hugging her tightly.

He paused, as Melanie mentioned school.

“...I don't like school...” Blake muttered, “None of the other kids want to play with me...”

The other kids always thought that something was...odd, about the boy. Something...frightening.

“Hey there kids!” Galv said, grinning as they showed up, “You guys want another sibling right?”

He grinned at Melanie, then looked to Joyce.

“Got any new stories, oh intrepid reporter?” Galv wondered now.

-Old Man Sensei's School of Butt Whoop-

The large man had left, Aaron sighing, worried he had hurt him too much.

“Don't worry, you did quite well!” Old Man Sensei said, getting up and patting the short young man, “You are quite good at controlling your strength.”

“Thank you, Sensei,” Aaron said, then paused, “...Where did my sister go?”

-Narroh Apartment-

If there was a fire alarm, it would be going off.

“Oh no!” a brown haired woman said, waving her hands, blowing away smoke erupting from the stove. “It's going to burn!”

It was already burned to a crisp, though...Whatever Erin was trying to cook...

[Old Man Sensei's School Of Butt Whoop]

Soon, the two youths from Japan who had come from the boat from France arrived at Old Man Sensei's school. They had been told to come and seek him out.

As they stepped into the dojo, both of them removed their shoes, and then headed deeper inside. When they found the training going on, Musashi paused.

“Pardon the interruption...”

[Broadway]

“... Miss. Archer. Thank you for meeting me.”

Cherion Archer was now in a very different kind of meeting. This one had nothing to do with the law, and more to do with the situation in Europe. The man she was meeting was a blond man wearing a cowboy hat, and dressed in a long trench coat. He spoke with the hint of a southern accent... but something seemed just a bit off about it.

“Nice to meet you... Adam, was it?” Cherion asked.

“Yes.” 'Adam' replied. “As you know, the situation with Germany is not getting any better. My Government is concerned. I understand your theater troupe no longer performs?”

Cherion shook her head. “No. Things have changed a lot. One thing hasn't... I don't like wasting my time. Let's cut to the chase.”

“Very well...”

Finally, Didymus saw Cherion, sitting at a table conversing with someone...who looked even more suspicious than he did. And that's saying something when you're dressed like a standard g-man.

...okay, maybe not, but Didymus got a bad vibe of sorts from that man.

He did, however, simply wait. No need to interrupt her conversation. He waited, keeping an eye on her.

Old Man Sensei's School Of Butt Whoop

A very short teenage girl sat in the front of the school, looking rather bored. While her brother seemed to enjoy spending time here the girl couldn't stand it....Which was why she was reading a book rather than learning to be a better fighter.

The girl, Adrianna, looked at her watch and sighed. Aaron was taking much too long....

New York City: Hawkins House

“Hey there kids! You guys want another sibling right?”

Both Joyce and Melanie raised a brow at the man, both wondering if he was serious...Which he probably was.

Melanie then turned back to her son, frowning a tiny bit at his frustration. "Awww darling, don't worry it'll get better I promise....Did the other children say why they wouldn't play with you?"

Joyce looked up to her father, giving a nearvous laugh before going back to her bag and pulling out a small piece of paper. "Well dad...I DID get a new story....But I also got detention....You have to sign this."

Crystal looked over "What!? Oh Joyce this is the sixth one this month! And it's only the 14th!"

Joyce frowned "It wasn't my fault! The headmaster was just mad that I was interrogating the cafeteria staff! It's not my fault they couldn't take the pressure!"

Crystal looked over to Galv. "Honey, talk to your daughter"

Narroh Apartment

For some reason Jason always came home to a smoke filled kitchen...It was sort of a tradition in the Narroh family...

"Gaaah! Erin what are you cooking?!" Jason said, stepping in and seeing the smoke once again. The first few times it happened he was more panicked, but not he was used to the smell and alarming smoke. He rushed into the kitchen and turned on the sink, throwing a bowl of water on the flames.

For some reason I remember hearing that would shouldn't do that...But considering I can't cook I wouldn't know.

NYPD 27th Precinct

Crystal saw her bosses expression, but didn't really think anything of it. Instead she smiled and gave a nod.

"I'll be back in an hour! Thank you!"

She then rushed off, grabbing her coat and heading for the exit.

[Broadway]

At the table of the outdoor cafe, Cherion Archer was meeting with the mysterious man known as 'Adam'.

“... I understand where you're coming from... but I can't help you.” Cherion finally said after a moment, shaking her head.

“Come now, Miss. Archer... given the circumstances in the pacific, do you think anyone is going to trust your little theater troupe again? It's merely a matter of time until your own government turns on you... we can protect you.” 'Adam' gleefully explained.

“... I admit, there's a good chance my government will have questions for everyone who belonged to the old troupe... but we are a nation of laws, and they will obey those laws, even with the rising tension.” Cherion shook her head. “I'm sorry, I can't help you.”

After a moment, the two both rose and nodded to one another.

“Very well...” 'Adam' turned and walked off down the street. Cherion made a move to hail a taxi...

[Old Man Sensei's School Of Butt Whoop]

While Musashi had gone inside, Nanami had waited by the door. She didn't like the idea of waiting outside... but she had a feeling that Old Man Sensei would not be a threat to the prince.

She paused, noticing a young woman sitting nearby and reading a book. Nanami stiffened, but made no move to approach the girl.

[NYPD 27th Precinct]

Sama was waiting at the exit, absently tossing his hat up into the air and catching it once more. He was incredibly bored, having the attention span of a five year old. It was part of the reason he always showed up at the precinct, looking for new cases.

Hopefully this lunch would produce a new case, and he'd have that to keep him busy for a while... not to mention going out to lunch with a girl was pretty awesome for other reasons too.

After a moment, he noticed Crystal coming his way and he grinned and waved, plopping the fedora back over his head.

“So, is there anywhere specific you'd like to go? If not, I know a good coffee shop down the street.”

Sadly Starbucks hasn't been invented yet. D8

Didymus eyed the man Cherion had been talking to.

Something about him...didn't sit. Didymus had been working intelligence for a bit now, and had started to gain a sense of things...he'd definitely have to call this in.

But that was not his current assignment.

When Cherion moved to hail a cab, he stepped forward.

"Miss Archer? I'm Lieutenant Didymus, USMC. Working with military intelligence in DC. May I have a moment of your time?"

I can't see what you're imagining
_New York City_

-Old Man Sensei's School of Butt Whoop-

“Oh ho ho, hello there young man!” Old Man Sensei said, walking over to Musashi, giving him a small bow, “It has been a while since I've seen you...Why, you were shorter then me last time we met, I believe!”

Aaron paused, looking at the two.

“Have you been keeping up your training?” Old Man Sensei asked Musashi, “Before we discuss, I must be sure! Aaron, please attack our guest!”

Aaron paused, looking bewildered, “Wait, what?”

“Oh, it'll be fine!” Old Man said grinning, “Just do it!”

Aaron sighed, then shrugged, turning to Musashi.

“Sorry about this...But if you know Sensei like he seems to know you, this shouldn't surprise you...” Aaron frowned, then charged at Musashi suddenly, ducking low and swinging his leg downwards in an arc, attempting to trip the Prince!

-Hawkins House-

“...They say I'm creepy...” Blake answered, hugging his mother tightly, “And that I'm weird...”

He did keep lugging a blanket around.

Galv frowned at his son, worried about him, but Melanie was attending to their youngest, so he turned his attention to Joyce.

“Now then Joyce, I know you want to get to the bottom of things, but you have to learn to pick your battles. I don't want you getting into some kind of trouble where you'd have to use your...special skills, to get out of,” Galv said.

“THAT being said, I'm also glad you're getting in trouble for something like this, and not for spending alone time with some boy,” Galv added. He would eff up anyone who touched his baby girl.

The irony was lost on him.

He took the paper, pulling out a pen and signing it.

“Oh, and Joyce, no dessert for a week,” Galv added, handing her back the paper, “Got it?”

-NYPD 27th Precinct-

A rotund British man in a fedora hat seemed to spot Sama and Crystal, pausing as he glanced at the two, then elected to follow them.

Dirk Gently had to solve his case somehow!

_Baton Rouge, Lousianna_

A young looking man with brown hair and brown eyes sighed, sipping a beer among the carnage of broken tables and chairs, several people unconscious or close to it around him in the bar.

“I liked this place too...” the man sighed, glancing to his beer, then tossed it over his shoulder, “Don't know why I drink this stuff. Doesn't work.”

The man got up and stretched, turning to the only other fully conscious person in the bar, the bar tender, who was starring at him with frightened eyes.

“You know, I like this time a lot better,” Samuel said, “None of those stupid duels and being gentlemen. Just a good old fashioned brawl. Much more my style.”

He grinned, pulling out some money and tossed it to the man.

“Glad they repealed that Prohibition nonsense too. Way to hard to start something like this in those speak easies.”

The brown haired man grinned, putting his hands into his pocket, walking outside into the muggy air, ignoring the mosquitos who swarmed him. They never could bite him.

“Where to next then...?” Samuel Hawkins wondered, rubbing his chin, “Haven't been to New York in a while...Though my kid's there...”
