[Manhattan Cocktail Lounge] Musashi waved off Laila's worries about work. “Your boss won't hassle you when you tell him you got double the money.” Musashi grinned, and he returned to his cup of sake, taking a small sip. Nanami looked a bit miffed. She supposed it was 'sweet' or some bullcrap to have saved Laila from the nuzzling creep, but now Musashi was blowing their travel fund on this? She wasn't too surprised, but she was annoyed. [Italian Bistro] Giovanni didn't believe Crystal for a moment, but he was the sort of man who never believed anything. He still seemed happy instead of mad, though... which was probably a bad sign. “... Aren't you the girl who started the fight in the kitchen?” Giovanni asked. “It's going to cost a pretty penny to fix the broken tables.” Sama yawned. “Oh, I'm sure you can just sell some drugs or something to pay for it.” Giovanni glared. “Watch it.” |

I can't see what you're imagining

-Manhattan Cocktail Lounge- “Of course. I will guard them with my life,” Samuel said, giving Kanna a small bow, “Beautiful things such as these flowers can be such a fleeting thing though...I do hope our...future experiences are longer then the life of these flowers.” He grinned at the woman, finding himself a seat by the stage now, placing the flowers carefully on the table. Aaron sighed, sitting back down in his seat, taking another sip of his cola. “So then...” Aaron muttered, trying to think of something to talk about that would lead them away from his sisters competing for a Japanese prince, and thus getting stabbed by the very scary Nanami. “How do you two know Old Man Sensei?” Aaron asked, “Like, he trained Adrianna's and mine dad in combat, and is training me now...” Sage frowned at the man, looking at Joyce. He couldn't let her stay in the company of this strange and probably evil man by herself! “Ummm...” Sage paused, then walked towards the man, then dropped to a whisper. “Look, my dad is Ryan McCall...And he might not like it if you got his son in trouble...” Sage said, having no idea if it would work or not. -Hawkins' House- “Don't worry dear, I'll be safe!” Galv said, not noticing a shadow move within another shadow, snaking down the street at the speed of dark... |

[Manhattan Cocktail Lounge] Musashi shrugged his shoulders to Aaron and sat back. He felt a lot better now that things had calmed down. “He trained me, too.” Musashi replied with a grin. “It's been a while since I last saw him, and... I've been a little too slack in keeping up with everything I learned... but he really made a difference for me. Probably saved my life a few times, too.” Musashi's adventures in Asia and Europe hadn't always been... safe. “I just know of his reputation.” Nanami answered. “He's supposed to be one of the top martial arts experts on the planet. I was actually trained by one of his rivals for that title, but I still hold great respect for the man.” |

Manhattan Cocktail Lounge “Nice to meet you, Violet. The name's Snake. I take it she's part of this team, too?” "She's not. However, I HAVE asked about her skills as a clerk...someone to help keep the info organized COULD come in handy..." Didymus remarked. |

[Manhattan Cocktail Lounge] Snake gave a little grunt and nodded. “Well I sure as hell won't play secretary. I'm not good with papers and numbers... my area of expertise is more... hand's on.” He looked to Violet. “Well, I say you tell this kid to give you a job, make you part of the team. From the sound of things, we could use every hand we can get on board.” [Upstate New York] In upstate New York, several miles outside of the city at a quaint ranch-style house, a man of unrivaled scholarly status lived a humble life. His name was Henry Jones Sr., and he was an expert in a number of fields. Doctor Jones had traveled the world in his youth, all in the pursuit of ancient artifacts. One in particular had intrigued him above all the rest... but he had never found it. Now, even as age set in, the elder Dr. Jones did not give up. After all... he now had a famous son who was an archeologist... so if Henry did ever find a clue, he knew who to call. “Hahahahah!” On this fateful night, Jones jumped out of his chair. “I cannot believe it... but I've done it! Hahahaha!” The elder Jones was quite pleased. Through a combination of historical texts and ancient rumor, he was confident he finally found what he was looking for. He reached for the phone, to call his son, when a knock came at the door. “Oh balderdash. I haven't time for this!” Dr. Jones was used to the annoying girl scout down the street trying to peddle cookies off on the old man. He hurried to the door and opened it, but who stood on the other side was not a harmless little girl. “Good evening, Doctor Jones.” An enormously tall man stood in the frame of the door. He was built like a tank, and his eyes seemed... unnatural. Immediately, Jones felt a horrible feeling in the pit of his stomach. “My name is Bison. You are going to tell me where to find the Grail.” He raised his hand, and it shone with an eerie purple light... |

Manhatten Cocktail Lounge Violet nodded quietly, even though there was no other nod she could do. She held up her notebook and wrote down a few swift sentences. When finished, she handed it to Didymus. "I will except your offer, be there one. If you need any kind of example of my skills, the page after this contains a full Manuscript of the conversation you just had." She smiled. Most mutes never learned to read or write...she did and did them one better. She pushed up her spectacles, allowing Didymus to gaze over her handywork if he wanted too. |

I'll bite your legs off!

Manhattan Cocktail Lounge Didymus looked over Violet's notebook with interest and annoyance... "...apparently I wasn't careful enough...blast, I could get nailed for being a security leak..." He sighed. "...on the other hand, you could be valuable, Violet. I can make a few calls to my superiors, and point out we could use a clerk, especially one with such observational skills...yes, I think that's what I'll do..." |

Manhattan Cocktail Lounge Violet bowed politely to Didymus. She gulped gently, noticing his annoyance...she privately wondered and hoped he was more impressed than annoyed. She never thought she would get him trouble..she would appologize as soon as he gave her the notebook back. After all, it was her "voice" so to speak. She played with her skirt a bit before backing away, shy before both agents. She would have to find a way to thank this man, who was planning to get her a job..something that could help her get by. |

I'll bite your legs off!

Manhattan Cocktail Lounge Didymus hesitated as he noticed Violet's uneasiness...she really seemed to regret, or at least worry, about what she had done...he wondered if her worry was completely altruistic, completely selfish, or a mix...but he handed her the notepad back. "At any rate, I may as well call this in...if you're finished, Snake, I need to get to a phone..." |

Manhattan Cocktail Lounge Violet became anxious with worry. Her notebook at the ready, she began to write an appology as quick as she could. She finally formulated one and handed Didymus the paper. She tried to make herself seem elegant but sincerely sorry for the act. She was personally only one of the two. "First of all, I'd like to thank you for your generous offer..I need another job, my living conditons in the past few years has been disdainful to say the least. You might open up a new road of possibilities for me. And for that, I am completely thankful and bewildered you would give this oppurtunity to me. "Secondly, I'd like to appologize deepy for doing what I did. I can tell it must have been wrong and I'd hate for you to get in trouble for my mistake. I will do what I can to repent the mistake and will take full blame, regardless of whatever happens." She handed the page to Didymus quietly. |

Manhattan Cocktail Lounge Didymus looked over the note Violet handed to him, and for a moment, he felt sympathy tug at him. He hesitated, wondering if he wasn't letting any personal issues which he was deemed resistant to when assigned to this mission cloud his judgment. Her clerical skills, coupled with her observational skills, however...could make her a valuable part of the team... His only hesitation was on her loyalty, possibly her judgment...and he was confident there were ways that each could be tested. "It's perhaps my fault for being too loud or something, and this ironically may help you, Violet...at any rate, let's go, I have a phone call to make..." he said. |

Manhattan Cocktail Lounge The mute nodded slightly, closed the book, and her hands fell to her sides. She had a feeling she would be following Didymus around a lot more...if this job came to reality, she knew she wanted to follow him. He made her feel safer. She pushed up her spectacles and would be ready to follow Didymus when he was ready. |

Manhattan Cocktail Lounge "You, Musashi, are a strange boy" Laila said, taking a sip of the sake and looking back to him with a smile "But you are also very kind, thank you again": While she tended to have jobs working around a lot of creepers Laila herself was very well-mannered when she needed to be. She supposed this warranted a bit of kindness. Adrianna continued to watch on, not impressed. Italian Bistro Crystal couldn't help but to turn to Sama with narrowed eyes as well "Yeah Sama....Watch it" she muttered, not quite sure THIS was the time for snarky remarks...She really didn't feel like dying right now. Crystal then turned to Giovanni, offering him a nervous and charming smile. "Umm..Well.....I can pay for that of course! I'll be sure to go right to the b-bank on Monday!" Manhattan Cocktail Lounge Kanna couldn't help but to give a small smile as she looked once more to the men and then headed through the crowd and back to the stage. Before she made it, the woman stopped at a table near the stage were several men in uniform stood. She leaned down and said something to them, which they responded to with a few nods and in exchange of money (which Kanna promptly stored in her dress. [...] The man blinked when Sage told him his father's identity. "Your father is Ryan McCall?" he said...And for a moment Joyce though Sage had somehow saved them with his father's name..."He slept with my wife!" "......" Well that didn't work. |

[Manhattan Cocktail Lounge] “Hold it.” Snake followed Violet and Didymus. He too had taken notice of Didymus' unease at the possible security breach, and Violet's hesitation at it all. Snake walked over to the two, grabbed a napkin from the bar and hastily wrote down a phone number. “I don't know all that's going on, but there's no need to worry. Didymus, get this girl a good job... and if either of you get into trouble over things, just ring Campbell. He's got a lot of pull in the Pentagon. Tell him I told him to help out and he will.” […] Musashi smiled to Laila. He had noticed Adrianna seemed a bit annoyed right now, but Musashi's very confusing code-of-honor meant he had to help out a woman in need... he probably didn't have to flirt so obviously with both sisters, buuuuut... “You don't need to thank me at all Laila. A guy like that is a creep... he's got no respect for anyone, but thinks everyone else should respect him... that's just not my style. Even if someone is rich or important, if they're a jerk... they don't deserve to be; and they certainly don't deserve to spend time with such a sweet girl.” Nanami rolled her eyes. She had never drank before, but Musashi might drive her to it. [Italian Bistro] Sama shook his head to Crystal. He could tell she wasn't used to this kind of situation, or Sama's trademark style of making things worse. “Relax. Giovanni won't do anything... and you certainly don't have to pay him back. Heck, this guy has more money than the US Treasury! He can afford some new tables and chairs. Can't you?” It might have seemed suicidal to talk to a mob boss this way... and normally it would be. “... You are on thin ice, kid.” Giovanni adjusted his tie. “Yeah, but you still owe me one... and as much as I love having a get-out-of-death free card, I think I'll collect. I need whatever info you have on the terrorist attack.” Giovanni paused, as if considering whether he should tell Sama... or shoot him in the face. |

I can't see what you're imagining

-Manhattan Cocktail Lounge- Samuel smiled, leaning back in his chair as Kanna started singing again. He was pretty sure she was up to no good, in the sense of causing lots of damage, but he didn't care too much. He raised his glass towards Kanna, nodding to her. Aaron sighed, looking at his two sisters, then other at Musashi. He was going to have to keep an eye on all three of them...as well as Nanami. He paused, then grinned suddenly. “Musashi!...can I talk with you...in private?” Aaron asked. Sage gulped, his father's reputation hurting them... He frowned, shaking his head at the man, “Hey! My dad isn't like that!” Poor Sage didn't think his dad was bad...he was blind to his father's...activities... A shadow moved, silent, within the shadows, going towards the man... |
