I can't see what you're imagining

Paris -Deuxième Bureau HQ- Jenny was quiet for a moment, looking up at Snake. “Jack...I will. But I won't leave you behind. If it gets too dangerous, I'm running...and I'm taking you with me,” Jenny said softly, “Got it?” -Streets- Aaron followed along after Didymus and Alice, not entirely sure what was happening. “Well I tend to prefer something with a lot of spices too,” Aaron said idly, looking over the menu, “French food tends to be pretty bland in comparison to what I'm use to...” Following them idly was the young girl who had been with the man... New York City -Streets- Blake was being taken away in the water, thrashing himself as he tried to get free, too panicked to think about teleporting out with his shadows. He was brought into a mostly empty alleyway, where he was deposited with a sudden thunk on the ground. Blake breathed heavily, looking upwards at a tall blond haired man, who was frowning. “Blake Hawkins...” Walter said quietly. “Get the hell away from my son...” Walter turned, seeing Galv, who had dropped a bag of groceries, glaring at the older man, sparking... Erin smiled a little still, patting her daughter's shoulder, before grabbing Jason's arm and holding it tightly. Erin was better then she had been, but she was still nervous going out in public... -Airfield Outskirts- Ethan frowned, stopping outside the airfield. It had taken some time, but he had managed to track Kanna and Rica to the airfield. He just wondered what it was they were doing...And if he should even get involved. But still...Kanna was the mother of two of his children, and...he still did love her, even if he didn't hold any illusions about any sort of future the two might have. Rica could rot in a ditch though. |

[Paris] [Deuxième Bureau HQ] Snake frowned for a moment and he turned to Jenny. His put his hand on her shoulder. “… That’s not good enough. I don’t want you in that kind of danger, Jenny.” Snake shook his head, and set off onto the streets of Paris. ((If Vidit wants to have something happen, he can, and if not I’ll bring them to the place for the meeting with The Boss)). [Chattes Noir] Alice didn’t say much as they took to the table. She ordered a tea, and then sat back and looked at the two Americans. “All of those things were a good indicator.” Alice said, with a slight smile. “But it’s not that hard to spot a foreigner in Paris. This is a tourist town. You live here long enough and you learn how to spot the differences between locals and out-of-towners.” |

Chattes Noir Didymus nodded at Alice's remarks. "So, if I may, you were quite...vocal...back there. As I may or may not have said, a woman who's willing to openly scream at, even attack, a communist in public gains a few points with me-" He grinned, hoping to communicate his humor, "But who are you, precisely, anyway? It's gutsy for a German woman to be living in France at a time like this. As for me, I'm Didymus." he said. “French food tends to be pretty bland in comparison to what I'm use to...” Didymus raised an eyebrow at Aaron. "French food? Bland?" he paused. "French food can be called a lot of things, many of which derogatory, as far as I'm concerned, but BLAND? What exactly ARE you used to, anyway?" he chuckled a bit again. Paris streets As Snake and Jenny reached the warehouse district, they weren't alone...some other men were hurrying along, trenchcoat-laden and intent on going somewhere, it appeared... |

[Chattes Noir] Alice sipped her tea as it arrived, and then at length sat down the cup and addressed Didymus’ question. “I’m actually French on my grandmother’s side… and as much as it pains me, I have more in common with France than Germany in these days.” Alice seemed truly sad about that statement. She leaned back and looked at Aaron and Didymus. “My name is Alice L. Malvin. My family was once one of the most powerful and respected in all of Germany. Those days are gone, now; buried along with my father.” [Paris Street] Snake paused as he noticed men in trenchcoats running around. He frowned, and put his hand under his jacket, resting on his pistol. “… Jenny. Head’s up. We could have a problem.” |

Chattes Noir “My name is Alice L. Malvin. My family was once one of the most powerful and respected in all of Germany. Those days are gone, now; buried along with my father.” Didymus paid attention, great attention. "It sounds like there's a story behind that, Miss Malvin. Or, perhaps considering the circumstances, Lady Malvin?" Suddenly, a pair of pretty young women dressed as stereotypical French maids approached and bowed, one having a shade of reddish hair, the other dark-haired. "GOOD EVENING, LADY MALVIN!" they said in unison, giving a coordinated curtsey. "What would you like this evening?" said the first one. "We have our pride show performing tonight, it should be starting shortly!" "Please do let us know if anything we can do would make your stay more pleasant." said the second. |

[Chattes Noir] Alice looked up to the girls who had appeared, and she just offered a slight smile and a nod. “Good evening, ladies. I am fine for now, I have all I require. Good luck with the show.” She gave a polite nod once more, and then returned her attention to Aaron and Didymus. “The Great War was hard on many aristocratic families in Germany. Ours was among the lucky ones; we lost little of our fortune, and few of our heirs on the battlefield. Two cousins of mine died, but that was all.” Alice sipped her tea. “However… my father made two serious mistakes. His first mistake was that he was an avid supporter of Adolf Hitler. I take no pride in saying this, but I have dined with ‘Der Fuhrer’ many times. My father’s second mistake was getting TOO close to Hitler. He discovered some secret of the Fuhrer’s… I don’t know what, but whatever it was, it made my father abandon Hitler.” She sighed. Talking about this was not her favorite subject. “… and whatever it was, Hitler had him killed so he could not tell anyone else about it.” |

Chattes Noir The maids turned to Didymus and Aaron, asking for their orders. "Oh, uh...I'll have your...um...steak filet..." he said. "And you?" they asked Aaron. When they had taken his order, they left, and Didymus listed to Alice speak. "...that's...quite a tale, Miss Malvin-or do you prefer Lady Malvin? Or Lady Alice? Is that how that works...?" He paused. "I am sorry for your losses...but...most interesting...most suspicious..." he said. His mind was racing-he had to call this in, this could be a good intel source, something he couldn't let slip by. ...he supposed she looked alright, too... "...but, again, most interesting..most fascinating...so, you fled the country and came here, I presume?" |

[Chattes Noir] “Alice is fine. It has been a long time since I’ve stood on ceremony. I am an aristocrat without a country… and depending on whom you ask, a traitor.” Alice added as she took another small sip of her tea. “I had to flee Germany. I declared it my life’s mission to drive Hitler out of power and into a grave.” Alice said this as if she was talking about the weather. “Unfortunately, I am unable to do that from within German soil. Hitler has powerful allies and my opinion that he should be hung from the tallest tower in Berlin seems to be the minority.” |

Chattes Noir “Alice is fine. It has been a long time since I’ve stood on ceremony. I am an aristocrat without a country… and depending on whom you ask, a traitor.” "Whichever you prefer, though I like to think of myself as a gentleman respectful of titles, if I can be..." he said. "...or at least, I like to think I TRY." “I had to flee Germany. I declared it my life’s mission to drive Hitler out of power and into a grave.” Alice said this as if she was talking about the weather. “Unfortunately, I am unable to do that from within German soil. Hitler has powerful allies and my opinion that he should be hung from the tallest tower in Berlin seems to be the minority.” Didymus laughed at Alice's closing statement. "Oh dear, oh dear...Alice Malvin, may the Lord help me, I think I like you." He paused. "I bet you'd just love to get a crack at the Axis." He had to call this in, but he had to make sure he had Alice's information in the mean time. "I'm sorry, Miss Malvin, but I may wish to call upon you again, if you'd honor me with that." he said. "Shortly after we part company tonight, I imagine. I don't suppose I could ask where you're staying, or if we could meet again...?" He paused. "With that said, if I offend you speaking like this," he said, his tone growing more serious, "then I profusely apologize." Edited by The Vidit of Light, Jan 1 2013, 02:40 AM.

New York City Blake was pulled away from Samara, moving away so fast that the girl couldn't keep up. She ran as fast as she could, but unfortunately Blake didn't think to use his powers...That or he was unable to. This worried the girl, and forced her to run faster, turning a corner and seeing the red-haired boy in front of a man that she didn't recognize....Which meant Blake didn't know him either. “Get the hell away from my son...” Samara stiffened, the shadow-being looking over to see Galv....This didn't look good. [...] Jason smiled down at Erin who looked a bit worried to be out on the street. He gave his wife's arm a reassuring squeeze, before kissing the top of her head and looking over to Solanna. They were very lucky that their daughter was so well grounded, despite her parentage. She walked a few steps in front of her parents, stopping as she caught sight of a flower vendor a couple feet away. Instantly the young woman grinned, picking out a rather large bouquet. "Dad, do you think she'll like these?" Airfield Outskirts "Rica!" Kanna exclaimed, rushing to his side after he was knocked back by Red Skull. The woman glared forward, pulling her gun once again and fumbling for another bullet. Shipping Warehouse Crystal yelped as Sama shot at a box of explosives. Instantly the woman threw her hands over her head, feeling the rock of the building and some debris fall on her head. "Sama! We need to go!" she coughed. Paris Streets Laila grinned, taking Musashi's hand and walking into the shady looking French bar. Instantly they were overcame by a cloud of thick cigarette smoke and the smell of not-so-expensive liquor. Laila took a seat and looked around with a grin. She didn't seem too worried. "Romantic eh?" she said with a slightly devlish look in her eye. Louvre Adrianna walked through the Louvre, staying relatively quiet as she looked at all of the exhibits. She couldn't help but to feel a bit awkward around Oliver....She wasn't sure if she was supposed to say something...Or act a certain way...This was probably the reason Musashi 'dumped' her. She was rather awkward. "Nice...Nice painting" she finally said, looking up at the Mona Lisa. |

[New York City] [Airfield Outskirts] Red Skull wanted nothing more than to kill Rica and Kanna… but suddenly in the distance, he heard police sirens. Someone had heard all of the commotion at the Airfield and called the cops – and NYC was on high alert thanks to what happened a week ago. “… We’ll meet again, mark my words!” Red Skull yelled at Kanna, and he turned and ran towards the hangar. [Shipping Warehouse] Sama coughed several times as smoke started to flood the room. He had screwed up this mission that was for sure. He rushed over to Crystal and grabbed her hand, trying to find his way out of the building. “Okay, time to run.” He agreed. [Paris] [Shady French Bar] Musashi took a seat next to Laila and looked around. The bar definitely seemed fairly sketchy, and he had a feeling that several of the people in here were no strangers to breaking the law. Not that he minded. He had been in a lot of sketchy places. “I’m not sure this place is romantic… but it sure looks fun!” Musashi grinned. [Louvre] Oliver noticed that Adrianna seemed quiet… and extremely awkward. Oliver was a peculiar fellow, because he had never really felt awkward about anything. He just did things, and worried about the consequences later. “You know… if this isn’t the kind of thing you like, we can leave.” Oliver offered. “I don’t mind, and I certainly don’t want to bore you.” [Chattes Noir] Alice looked to Didymus and she had to raise a blonde eyebrow. “Not so fast, Mr. American. I’d love to take a shot at the Axis… but I don’t know anything about you.” Alice pointed out. “You could just be trying to butter me up to get me in bed… or you could be a spy trying to get me in a hangman’s noose.” She leaned back. “So tell me… just who are you two?” |

I can't see what you're imagining

Paris -Streets- “Jack, I've been on the battlefield, bullets whizzing past me as I've worked on people, yourself a number of times,” Jenny said, “I'm no stranger to danger. Besides, I can't leave you behind...” She glanced to the side, sighing, “I made a promise that I would never leave you behind. And I'm going to stick by it. So if you don't want me getting into too much trouble, try not to get yourself into too much trouble, okay?” A pause, as they noticed the strange men in trench coats. Jenny nodded a little, hand resting towards a pouch, where she had her tranquilizer gun hidden away at the moment... -Chattes Noir- Aaron frowned at the menu, wondering if they had burgers, unable to find one, he paused, looking up the maids. “Umm...I'll have what my friend's having,” Aaron answered, “Thank you.” He then stayed quiet as he listened to Alice and Didymus. “Well, I don't think I personally fit the kind of people Hitler and his goons seem to think are superior,” Aaron mentioned. He didn't say anything about the 'bedding' her though, as he was pretty sure Didymus would want to defend himself there. New York City -Streets- Walter paused, looking towards Galv, frowning, as per usual. “Good. I was hoping to find you,” Walter said. Then held up his hands, “I'm not here to fight you.” “It doesn't look that way! Why did you try to kill my son?!” Galv yelled, stepping closer. “If I wanted to kill your son, he would not still be alive right now,” Walter answered calmly, “I needed to get your attention.” Galv frowned. Walter...did have a point. He knew Walter could be ruthless, but Blake was still alive, albeit drenched. “And what is it that you want?” Galv asked. “The man I am working for right now wants Kanna dead,” Walter said. Before Galv could say “so what?” he continued, “And her children, and her grandchildren. I have been told he would spare my niece this, but...I can not trust him to keep his word.” Galv was quiet, sighing, “I see...So what do you propose?” “I do not wish to see my sister or niece hurt. You do not wish to see your wife or children hurt,” Walter said simply, “I want to work with you...” “They look lovely, I bet she'd love them!” Erin said, smiling at Solanna. -Airfield Outskirts- As the Nazis ran, another figure appeared, frowning. Ethan stopped by Rica and Kanna, “It seems I got here a little late...you two should come with me...I can get you out of here...” |

[Paris] [Streets] Snake frowned. He wanted to try to explain to Jenny that this was different; this was The Boss. The legendary soldier who had trained Snake, who had taught him how to be the man he was today… he wanted to explain that everything Snake could do, The Boss could do infinitely better. … but he knew his words would be wasted on Jenny. Luckily he was spared the chance to find out when they spotted the strange men in coats. Snake had no idea who they were, but something about them made his hair stand on edge. He simply nodded to Jenny, deciding that silence was best for now, and he slowly crept after them. [Chattes Noir] “Perhaps not… but Hitler himself doesn’t conform to his own ideal image.” Alice pointed out. Hitler was a terrible hypocrite… but you know… he’s Hitler. Big surprise. [New York] [Airfield Outskirts] Rica looked up and let out a small groan. “Oh. Good. Being saved by Ethan. Well, isn’t that just wonderful?” Rica commented, since he is a completely asshole. |

Paris Shady French Bar "It's just like at home, but instead of being soldiers all the guys here are hopeless writers and poets" Laila noted with a slight giggle. She had worked many gigs at shady places like this, hanging all over overly drunk guys who wanted to seem impressive...She wondered if a cute American girl was a novelty here?....She could make good money in tips alon- Laila gave a little cough, focusing. She was here with someone for a change. Her boyfriend. She would behave....Sorta. "How about I go get us some drinks?" Laila offered "I picked up some French from my dad, i'm sure I can scrounge up something good" Louvre Adrianna blinked, instantly shaking her head "W-What? Oh no! It's not boring! I actualy love this kind of thing" The girl wasn't really lying, she adored books and art and pretty much everything she was taking in University. Adrianna had been studying for several years after all... "I'm just feeling kinda weird I guess...About this." Adrianna sighed, running a hand through her wavy hair and trying to ignore the blush on her cheeks. "Gah....Uhhh nevermind" New York City Streets When Samara spotted Blake she disappeared, reappearing beside the boy and hugging him tightly. She glared at the two men speaking, while still keeping her grip tight on Blake. She understood what they were saying about keeping the family safe, but she didn't like it- "It's my job to keep you safe" Samara exclaimed "Not theirs" [...] Solanna smiled, carrying the bundle along and allowing her father to pay for them. The group then headed towards Melanie's home a few blocks away. "I haven't seen Blake and Joyce in quite awhile" Solanna stated "I wonder if Blake's any bigger, he's always been so tiny" Jason shrugged "Well that's what happens when too short people decide to reproduce" he joked Solanna smiled again, climbing up the steps of Melanie's stoop, knocking on the door. There was a bit of silence before the woman came to the door. Her tired expression instantly turned to one of surprise. "Solanna! Darling!" Shipping Warehouse Crystal took Sama's hand, choking on the air as they rushed out. Once they hit the outside the girl took a deep gasp of air and hipped around. "Where'd he go!?" she exclaimed, looking panic. She highly doubted Jeremie would be happy that they let Fisk just get away....Especially considering he knew the autorities were onto him. Airfield Outskirts "For once i'll accept the offer" Kanna said, much too frazzled and worn out to have a snarky remark or insult towards Ethan. She ignored Rica for a moment, taking the other man's hand. "See Rica, now you know why I worked for that bastard. He's a demented homicidal Nazi with rather deliciously evil intentions. Just my kind of man" Sarcasm. I hope Edited by Crystal Rose, Jan 3 2013, 08:55 PM.

Eiffel Tower Marco looked at Nanami like she was an alien (but not like he was talking about ALIENS), when she started talking about Musashi getting into trouble, but "nothing he couldn't handle on his own." He was about to say something on that front, before Nanami then decided to get into why everyone else wouldn't be here to attack them yet, either. "Well, if you're confident about that, I guess that's OK," he then commented. Though all it really would take, was a telegram or a telephone call or two, from someone who was a spy for Germany and knew who the Japanese Prince was, to tell Germany, and them telling Japan... Then again, Nanami was the 'pro' here, while Marco just acted like it. "So you're here to check over the city as well, then?" |
