[The Ritz] Musashi watched as Adrianna, the pretty girl he'd met earlier, seemed to clash with Laila, the pretty girl he'd just met. He didn't like to see people argue, especially when they were relatives – but at the same time, he had a soft spot for pretty girls. “Actually, having a tour guide would be a good thing. Part of my reason for being here is to experience life in America, so meeting a variety of people would be very good.” Musashi explained. Nanami rolled her eyes. She wasn't too keen for MORE obnoxious locals. The only reason she was willing to temporarily tolerate Aaron and Adrianna was because they knew Old Man Sensei, and she had respect for him. Rica, meanwhile, decided not to tell his daughter or Ethan's twins that the explosion HAD been a terrorist attack – and the terrorist responsible was their mother... [Brooklyn] Sama was a little out of breath after going up so many stairs, but when they reached the apartment and he saw the clutter, he just chuckled. “Oh, no problem. I moved into my place two years ago and mine's even more cluttered than this.” It wasn't a joke. Sama spent very little time at home, and had allowed a mess of his belongings to form a gigantic pile in the floor. It had gotten so bad, he sometimes hoped to get a new case just so he could avoid cleaning a while longer. |

The Ritz "Perfect!" Laila said with a smile "I'll show you guys what the nightlife of Mannhattan is like! In fact I have a job tonight but if you'd all like i'm sure I can make a few calls and get you all a table. It's just a cocktail lounge but I heard it's pretty nice" The girl then looked to her father "What do you think dad? Perhaps we can find you a nice lady friend to hang out with" Brooklyn "Be right back" Crystal giggled, disappeared into the back room and leaving Sama in the sea of papers and files....Papers and files which seemed strange to be the possession of a young woman. Crime files from Washington DC, LA, and even other countries like Japan and Germany. "Don't worry, i'll be out in just a second!" Crystal exclaimed, changing into a slinky green dress for the night. Quickly the girl grabbed a white fur coat (not made of bunnies) and pulled on a pair of white gloves. The girl headed back into the living room, slipping on some heels and pulling a compact from her purse. |

[The Ritz] Musashi grinned and nodded eagerly to Laila. “I would like that very much! I have never been to a cocktail lounge before, but it sounds exciting.” The young prince was never allowed to go to bars. When he was a prince, he had to live in the stuffy palace life... and when he was doing his duty in the Japanese Navy, he was living the life of a military officer and had to set a good example for his men. Nanami didn't seem to like the idea at all, but she stayed quiet. Rica turned to Laila and nodded. “I'd be happy to come along. It'd be nice to catch up with you, darlin'.” [Brooklyn] Sama was a brilliant detective because he had a photographic memory. When he saw something, it was nearly impossible for him to forget it. So even though he didn't plan on going through Crystal's papers, he did notice a few sitting on top, and the contents seemed... unusual for someone like her. That smelled like a mystery... and Sama loved mysteries... Then, Crystal returned and Sama did forget about the mystery for a second. He gulped, and rubbed the back of his neck instinctively. When it came to murder and crime scenes, he did awesomely – girls on the other hand brought out his awkward side. “Y-You look really nice.” He stammered. |

The Ritz "Then it's settled!" Laila said with a grin "We can go now if you'd all like, that way I can get you settled with some drinks before I get to work. Yeah, because there's nothing weird about taking your dad out for drinks while you first with some middle aged business tycoons a few booths away. With a smile Laila led the group to a part of town which was lit up in lights despite the fact that it was getting late. She stopped in front of a nice lounge (though around the back there was some crime scene tape still lingering from an early homicide). Brooklyn Crystal gave a pretty smile, fixing her lipstick in her compact before looking to Sama. "Thanks so much" she said sweetly "Oh, you don't think it's too much though do you? Is this how girls in the city dress?" |

[The Ritz] Musashi seemed quite excited and followed Laila closely. He was looking forward to seeing an actual cocktail lounge in New York. It sounded excited, and was certainly more fun than some of the sights he had seen while traveling across Europe. “This looks like a lot of fun! Thank you for inviting us, Laila-san.” Musashi bowed once more. Rica chuckled a bit. His daughter was entirely too much like her mother... and too much like him. [Brooklyn] Sama paused, and shrugged his shoulders. “Oh, well... I don't really know. I don't spend a lot of time with girls in the city, most of the time when I go somewhere fancy, its because I'm working.” It was really hard to enjoy the fancy side of New York while investigating murder. Not impossible, though. “But I think you look very nice. Shall we go?” Sama asked with a smile. |

-Hawkins House- Galv glowered at Sage, not liking the boy much. Partially it was because Galv was protective of Joyce, and partially because of who Sage's father was. Sage gave a weak smile to the father of the girl he liked, then turned to Melanie, “It's good to see you too, Mrs. Hawkins.” Samuel chuckled at his family, then paused, glancing at a clock on the wall, looking towards a window. It was growing dark. “Well, nice to meet you all, but, well, I have a date!” Samuel said, “So I'll explain everything later!” “What, dad?” Galv said, confused, “Wait...a date...?” Samuel chuckled, rubbing the back of his head, “Yah...Can't your dad have dates?” Galv...did not know how to answer that. “Don't worry, I'll be back, by tomorrow, at the latest!” Samuel said, “I might get-” “Dad, you have grandchildren present!” Galv shouted. “Oh, sorry, yah...” Samuel said, then hurried for the door, heading outside, towards the cocktail lounge... -The Ritz- “I think I may have to pass,” Ethan said, stretching, “I'm not as young as Rica here, and alcohol never agreed with me, even when I was young...” “Are you sure dad?” Aaron wondered. “I am...I think I'd rather get some work done...But if any of you need a place to crash, feel free to drop by,” Ethan said. Aaron sighed, then nodded, turning to Lalia and the others. “Well, let's go then,” Aaron said, grinning, “And as for drinks, remember Lalia, no alcohol for me! I don't want to wreck anything...” Ethan chuckled, then turned to Adrianna, leaning towards her and whispering softly. “And be good, dear...don't get in over your head with this Musashi guy...” Ethan smirked. There was a figure, watching them in the shadows...silent...unseen... Dun dun dunnnnnn. |

Hawkins House Joyce was an ace reporter (in her mind) so when Samuel rushed off she was obviously suspicious. The girl took her friend's arm and looked to her mother. "Mom, can I show Sage some new notes I made up in my room?" Melanie raised a brow at her daughter. "Joyce-" "Don't worry mom i'll keep my door open!" Joyce assured. Melanie gave a sigh and then a nod, picking up Blake. "Alright" she said before Galv could counter. "Great! Come on Sage!" Joyce exclaimed, pulling her friend up the stairs and towards her room. Once there she grabbed a coat and opened her window. "Wanna go spy?" Manhattan Cocktail Lounge "Laila-San...Oh I like that!" Laila said with a grin, earning a glare from Adriana. The Manhattan Cocktail Lounge was a nice place, though full of smoke and shady people. Laila led the group inside, bringing them to a large table with a few drink menus. On the stage there was a blonde with entirely too much make up singing.... "This place has some of the best drinks in the city" Laila told the groups "I can get you- "Miss. Rica" an older gentleman asked, appearing at the table. He was an older man, about forty or so who looked as if he was perhaps Spanish...Or Italian. "You are my escort" "Oh yes!" Laila said with a charming grin, shaking his hand. The man instantly slinked his arm around the girl's waist unaware that her father was in front of them,,, Brooklyn "Sounds wonderful" Crystal said with a smile, taking Sama's arm as they headed out of the apartment. "So do I get to see your place now?" |

[Manhattan Cocktail Lounge] Musashi looked around the room for a moment, caught up in the atmosphere of the shady place. There was smoke, a singer on stage and all sorts of odd characters around, some of whom were probably criminals. The boy sat down at the table and grinned, looking to Laila once more, but before he could say anything, a strange older man appeared. He paused for a moment and frowned. He wished that she could have stayed with them, it would have been more fun to have someone else to talk too. Musashi was really enjoying getting to be around people... Rica, meanwhile, looked over at the man for a moment. If this guy tried to get handsy with Rica's daughter, he was not above shooting a man in the face in a crowd of people. He did technically have a license to kill. [Brooklyn] Sama paused. Weren't they supposed to go tracking down criminals in the seedy side of town? Well... then again, the way he was dressed, he would stand out. “Well... if you really want to see my place, I guess I could find something fancier to wear.” The boy nodded. “But I live in Queens, so its a bit of a drive.” |

Manhattan Cocktail Lounge "Don't worry, i'll be back in a bit to check on you all" Laila said with a smile, looking at her father once more before disappearing with the older man who led her to a booth across the room. "So do you two drink?" Adrianna asked Musashi and Nanami, feeling a bit weird that Rica was at their table...She leaned over to Musashi and showed him the menu. "Martini's are pretty good...Oh but this place even has foreign drinks. Sake....That's Japanese right?" Adrianna probably shouldn't be drinking. But she tended not to care. It would just make it easier for her to hurt Nanami later if she needed to. [...] Meanwhile a new singer was getting ready to take her place on the stage. Wearing a tight black dress and her hand in loose curls Kanna looked strangely different...But beautiful. She was also packing two small handguns strapped under her dress....Her boss told her she could cause a bit more trouble...There were some military men in the crowd tonight. They would die. Brooklyn "Oh it's okay! The night is young!" Crystal said with a smile, leaning against the window of the war and watching the building pass by. "You think we'll find anything tonight?" |

-Hawkins House- Sage was bright red as Joyce dragged him up to her room, not thinking like his father at all as they entered it. “What...sneak out...? Are you sure...?” Sage muttered, “I mean...we might get in trouble...” He paused, then looked over at Joyce, then sighed, nodding, “Okay, let's go!” “I don't like him...” Galv muttered, watching as Joyce ran up the stairs with Sage, “I think he's a bad influence...” Oddly enough it was the other way around. -Manhattan Cocktail Lounge- “I don't drink, myself...” Aaron said, “I can't hold my alcohol well...” He paused, then glanced to Nanami, hoping she wouldn't try to stab his full sister or half sister before the night was up. He wasn't paying attention to the stage, more worried about possible stabbings. Samuel had arrived, and was right by the stage, grinning up at Kanna, giving the woman a little wave... |

[Manhattan Cocktail Lounge] “I drink sometimes. When I'm not on duty.” Musashi grinned to Adrianna – which earned him an elbow from Nanami. “I mean, uh, not duty, um... when I'm not... at work?” Musashi was not a good liar. Nanami just sighed. […] Rica was walking around the lounge, unaware that his former lover was about to take the stage. [Brooklyn] “I have a feeling we will.” Sama grinned. “Finding something is our job... and I have a habit of running into trouble, as it is.” They eventually made it to Queens and to a small house in a relatively middle-income neighborhood. Sama made fairly decent money working as a police consultant, and he still had some reward money left over from solving a few high profile missing person's cases. But really, he couldn't afford the house he had. “Come on it! Sorry, it's a mess.” He was right. There was a pile of clothes, weights, comic books and other random things on the floor. He rubbed his neck. “I, um... don't clean much.” |

Hawkins House "Awww I think it's cute" Melanie said sweetly, kissing Blake on the cheek. "Ready for bed darling?" [...] Joyce giggled climbing out the window and heading down to freedom. She had only just gotten back home and she was back out and following Samuel down the streets and into the more adult part of the city. "This is so exciting isn't it?" Joyce said, pulling out her notebook and writing as she walked. Manhattan Cocktail Lounge The lights which had gone out on stage suddenly came back up and Kanna began to sing. While she was a very scary (and evil) woman she was an amazing singer. She really didn't resemble to Kanna everyone knew, which was probably why Laila didn't recognize her own mother (not to mention she was pretty sure the man she was with was nuzzling her ear) Adrianna didn't seem to notice either, her eyes were on the drink menu (and Musashi) "Duty eh? Well whatever your duty is you're not on it now. So how about some Sake?" Kanna continued to sing, catching eyes with Samuel for a moment and grinning. He was much too nice to kill tonight... Sama's House "Awww how nice! I love it!" Crystal said, looking around the crowded house and taking a seat on his couch. She noticed like her home there were a lot of papers. "You seem to take you work home too don't you?" |

-Manhattan Streets- “I guess it is...” Sage said, looking around, “But I just hope we don't get caught...” He paused, scooting a little closer to the girl, blushing. “But we should still be careful! If someone tries something, I'll protect you!” Sage said, trying to act brave. Though Joyce had a much better chance of beating up anyone who might try to mug them, what with the superpowers and all. -Hawkins House- “Okay mommy...” Blake said, nodding his head, clutching his blanket tightly, “I can keep the light on, right mommy...?” Light hurt his eyes, like with his mother, but he still seemed terrified of the dark... -Manhattan Cocktail Lounge- “Errr...maybe you shouldn't drink, sis...” Aaron muttered, blinking in the light. He couldn't see well in the low level of light... He was worried about Adrianna and Musashi having too much, and wandering off somewhere... Samuel sat back in his chair, listening to Kanna sing, keeping his eyes fixed on the woman, a smile on his face. He was almost certain this woman was the mother of the girl his son had married...but after living as long as he had, Samuel didn't care that much. This woman was very attractive, and not so young that he'd feel weird flirting with her... |

[Manhattan Cocktail Lounge] Musashi nodded to Adrianna. “You're right. And some sake does sound wonderful.” He smiled to her and leaned back in his seat for a moment. Tonight might really be fun, and it would probably be okay if he slacked off for one night. Nanami leaned over and whispered to Musashi. “If you get drunk and try to screw the American, I'm going to stab you and lock you in the trunk, your highness.” “Noted.” Musashi nodded. Rica did not notice the businessman nuzzling his daughter's ear, or there would have been a corpse on the floor. However, he did notice Kanna on the stage and he looked up to see her. He grinned, took a sip of his martini, and nodded in her direction. [Sama's House] Sama nodded with a grin. “I get wrapped up in my work... really wrapped up in my work.” He admitted, and then he remembered the whole reason for coming here. “Just a second, I'll get changed. I think I have a suit left over somewhere...” He did not dress fancy very often. The boy disappeared into his room. |

Sama's House Crystal gave a nod, looking around Sama's living room after he left to change...Looking VERY carefully....In fact she was quietly going through some of the files on his coffee table...And pulling a few of the papers to place in her small purse. Manhattan Cocktail Lounge Kanna sang a few song, continuing onstage for about fifteen minutes before taking a short break. With a short bow the woman headed into the crowd and towards the bar. "A martini please" She said simply, with a charming smile. [...] "That was pretty good" Laila noted, taking a sip of her drink and totally unaware that was her mother onstage. The man she was with said something she didn't understand and continued to nuzzle the girl. [...] "Your drinks" Adrianna looked from the stage when a waitress sat two large bottles of sake in front of them as well as a couple of very small cups. Having never had the beverage Adrianna eyed the cups before asking for a mug. Because drinking a mug of sake is smart for an 120 pound girl. "Oh don't worry brother, I'll be fine " Adrianna stated filling up her very large mug. Manhattan Streets "I'll keep that in mind if we get mugged" Joyce stated with a laugh, stopping in front of the building that Samuel had disappeared into. "Think we can get in?" she asked, wrinkling her nose at the smell of smoke and booze. Hawkins House- "Of course if you'd like darling" Melanie said sweetly, though with a frown "But I do believe you would sleep better in the dark, you're always so tired" |
