[Roosevelt Mansion] [Second Floor] Snake shrugged, and paused, turning to Didymus. “Believe me, Didymus… this isn’t the end of our road. I’m afraid it’s not even close to the end. I’m afraid there are several battles ahead of us, and I’m sure you’ll get more opportunities to prove yourself than you want.” As they walked into the room, Coulson was waiting, and he looked grave. “Gentlemen… I need to know. Just what are we dealing with? Was this their endgame, or is there something more?” |

Roosevelt Mansion "Oh, I know this isn't the end of our road. Even if this was the end of this unit, war is coming. I just...Lord willing, I don't want to feel useless in it." he said. “Gentlemen… I need to know. Just what are we dealing with? Was this their endgame, or is there something more?” Didymus shrugged. "I'm afraid I don't know. A lot is going on, I'm actually investigating something else...and our affairs in New York, my squad's affairs, at least, may be wrapping up soon." |

[Roosevelt Mansion] [Upper Floor] Coulson nodded. “It seems this isn’t the first time you’ve come across this group, and any information you have can help us. Still, I understand that you already have a mission.” The room was, overall, very dark. The only real source of light was the fireplace in the corner, which was roaring. In front of it was a chair, angled away from the group. “They do, and an important one.” A voice from the chair spoke. “So tell me, what IS your opinion on the former New York Sakura Team?” Snake raised an eyebrow. “… So that’s why we’re in here. Good evening, Sir. I wondered where the Secret Service had you hiding.” “Hello, Jack. Didn’t you say you wanted a desk job?” “I still do, sir.” Snake nodded. “But at the moment, I think I’m more useful here.” |

Roosevelt mansion-inside Didymus straightened up, recognizing the voice... “So tell me, what IS your opinion on the former New York Sakura Team?” Didymus paused. "...well, sir, they are understandably upset at all that's happened...to be honest, I've not had too much time to research them...they were...argumentative, if not necessairly uncooperative. All reject the notion that their captain could do any wrong, it appears, or at any rate would be on the wrong side, though I don't seem to recall if I got a straight answer out of any of them concerning his loyalties to us or his native land. I'm afraid the youngest, one Rosita Aries, has gone missing, possibly in enemy hands, possibly skipped town after penetrating a police perimeter and being then warned about my investigation." He paused. "Gemini Sunrise has proven ultimately on our, or rather, perhaps, her captain's side, and while not openly hostile, I suppose understandably harbors a bitterness and seemed offended that I would insinuate that maybe her captain's loyalty would tilt him towards Japan in any conflict." "Cherion Archer, the lawyer, accused me of being on a witch hunt when I asked her about the potential of her captain or her teammates because of him taking Japan's side in any potential conflict. She did provide me answers to my questions before that point, but has since then been...cool...towards me." "Diana Caprice was visibly shaken, her pacifistic spirit seemed unwilling to even consider the prospect of conflict between our nation and her captain's. But she faced it." "Suburu Kujo, I have little reason to suspect is anything but what we feared-sans, perhaps, there is no guarantee that she will go to the Japanese in the event of any conflict. Still, a sorceress, by the looks of it, who I have not had a chance to interview in depth, I'm afraid." "Whenever I would ask, all were universally praising of their captain, and, as I stated, seemed to be adverse to even the insinuation that he would wind up on the wrong side. I believe Miss Sunrise was most adamant, actually, that he would be on our side in defense of us should a conflict ever occur, but I must confess their reluctance to even acknowledge the questions I asked as legitimate, considering their captain's heritage and upbringing, makes me cast some doubt on their opinions." He sighed. Here it came. "However, their captain himself has already been here, and spoken with me multiple times. He apparently anticipates conflict and has stated he wishes to help us. He appeared sincere, and has fought beside us. Of course, there yet remains the possibility that it's all just an elaborate ruse, but I doubt that at this point, considering it involved squaring off and the maiming of another member of his family..." "...and that is more or less what I've gathered thus far, sir." |

Roosevelt Mansion - Den "Once a deadly assassin, always a deadly assassin!" Marco laughed a little, at Nanami's comment. "Though the floor of the president's mansion is probably not that bad, compared to the floor of other places." Except most of those other places probably weren't full of KOed and dead enemy soldiers inside and out. "A chair probably would be better, though..." Marco then said, before taking a deep breath and pushing himself back off the wall, and slowly towards the first seat he could find in the room. |

(I officially have lost track of what's happening in Roosevelt Mansion, if it wasn't already obvious) Gallic Enterprises Kanna pulled Melanie out of the room, heading out of the fire escape with Rica. By this time Melanie was starting to come to, the younger woman catching her breath. "Melanie, you're alright...." Kanna said with a relieved breath, still moving. "Come on, we're getting you out of here...Ugh, we should have made you go with the kids" "What happened?" Melanie asked drowsily. Melanie was about to answered when Blake suddenly appeared. The older woman jumped a bit, caught off guard by the boy. “Grandpa said I should help you...” Without hesitation Melanie came at the boy, hugging him tightly and pulling him against her. She was still feeling rather light headed but this was her son, and nothing would keep her from him. Melanie then blinked, moving back. "You're not Blake" she said. It was partly true...Blake was still up in the ceiling with Joyce and Sage. [...] When Blake left Jade was released, gasping for air. The woman stumbled out of the shadows, still looking rather deranged... [...] Crystal rushed in the room as soon as Jade was released, and right behind Sama....The girl suddenly had a feeling of utter doom come over her, especially as she caught sight of a very familiar young woman. Who looked exactly like her. It also didn't help that she was right next to a man who looked like Sama. "W-What the heeeeellllll!?" [...] "You're doing enough" Joyce said softly, moving forward and kissing the boy carefully...This lasted for a moment, before she paused. Samara was still watching them silently. "She's....Kinda creepy." |

[Roosevelt Mansion] [Dining Room] Musashi found his way to the dining room and he was sitting at a rather lovely table… which had unfortunately taken some damage during the struggle. Some of the HYDRA agents had tried to come in through the window, and the Secret Service had held them back. The prince sighed. He was confused about Shishido being alive, and worried about his own mess. Here he was, in the private home of the US President. Would they blame him for this? Would they arrest him? Would they demand he leave the country? He supposed this was the moment he had been building too… He wondered where Laila and Adrianna were. Maybe that craziness would take his mind off things. [Den] “I’m not an assassin. I’m a bodyguard.” Nanami corrected him. Nanami was a little surprised that Marco could keep making jokes even at a moment like this. It felt odd… a few minutes ago, the boy bleeding all over… and then he had promised to help Nanami. She felt… bad. Nanami had a feeling that if Marco kept putting his nose into the Sakura business, he would end up getting hurt again, or worse. This was why she was against having Marco or the others in this business. “… What do you suppose happens now?” Nanami suddenly asked. [Upstairs] As Didymus addressed each Sakura Team member in turn, a response came to each statement. First Gemini. “Hmm. I suppose it should be encouraging that Miss. Sunrise seems completely convinced that her captain will not stand as our enemy, but I have to wonder how much of that opinion is colored by her attraction.” Then Cherion. “I’m hardly surprised to hear that the lawyer was cold. Still, sounds like she was cooperative.” He did not address what Didymus said about Diana, and her hopes that conflict would not happen, but he did comment on Subaru. “A sorceress? That bodes ill… is there any chance she could be working with the Thule Society?” Snake shook his head. “I don’t think there’s enough evidence to conclusively say one way or another, at this time.” There was an audible gasp from the chair when Didymus mentioned that Musashi was in the US, and had spoken to Didymus several times. “… So you say he’s fought alongside you? That IS a surprise… but welcome news.” The chair spun around. Franklin Delano Roosevelt looked tired and annoyed; but people had been shooting at his mansion for the better part of half an hour or so. “You’ve done a good job. We still need more information on Miss. Aries and ESPECIALLY Miss. Kujo, but you’ve done good work, and brought mostly good news. What of the Prince? Where is he now?” Snake cleared his throat. “… He was in the kitchen.” Roosevelt blinked, in disbelief. “What kitchen? Wait… you don’t mean… he’s HERE? Downstairs?” [Gallic Enterprises] Sama blinked. Not only was there a boy who looked like him, but a girl who looked like Crystal… Sama was one of the best detectives of his day. He had solved mind-boggling cases that had stumped the NYPD, the FBI and even the legendary Scotland Yard… but this was one mystery Sama couldn’t even begin to fathom. “What the f***?” Sire blinked. “I’m not drunk, am I?” […] Rica blinked as “Blake” appeared. “We need to go. There’s no time to stop.” Rica urged them. |

Roosevelt mansion “Hmm. I suppose it should be encouraging that Miss. Sunrise seems completely convinced that her captain will not stand as our enemy, but I have to wonder how much of that opinion is colored by her attraction.” "Frankly, sir, I would imagine that is the case with them all. An exotic foreign prince comes and sweeps them off their feet, sir, and fights with them, gaining their trust AND affection, admiration, even...again, I don't think that his teammates are entirely unbiased witnesses..." “I’m hardly surprised to hear that the lawyer was cold. Still, sounds like she was cooperative.” "I apologize, sir. Cold is the wrong word. She was rather visibly angry with me." he had to fight back the urge to say "Not that that's anything unusual". He was speaking to the president. "She was marginally cooperative, at least, but again, after I insinuated that we were worried about potential treasonous activity, she...was angry. Maybe later mentioned that she understood I was "only doing my job", perhaps I shouldn't mention I think it's a valid one..." he chuckled. And THAT'S why you're hated... As Suburu was addressed, he added: "Suburu is an avid advocate of her native culture-unlike the rest of her teammates with the exception of her captain, she is Japanese-or at least appears so. We have no confirmed record of her birth and we've reports of her serving with the prototype European division years ago and not aging a day since then, in appearence..." There was one more member...but she needed no mentioning. He had not found anything new on her, and her last known location lead to all manner of bad conclusions... Finally, Musashi was mentioned. "Um, yes sir, he's here, provided he wasn't killed in the fight..." |

[Roosevelt Mansion] [Upstairs] “That’s understandable.” Roosevelt nodded his head. “What you need to determine is how much of their opinion is based on the time they spent together as a military unit, and how much of it is coming from attraction. I’m sure that’s no easy task, but it is an important one.” "I apologize, sir. Cold is the wrong word. She was rather visibly angry with me." “Don’t take it personally. She was visibly angry with ME back in the day. The Sakura Team was active while I was Governor, and although I only had a few run-ins with them, Cherion Archer leaves an impression.” When the conversation moved to Subaru, a frown crossed the President’s face. “That’s… disturbing to say the least. I’ll not step on Solomon’s toes, this is his operation… but I would urge you to do whatever necessary to discover where Subaru’s loyalties lie. If she is our enemy, we need to know.” Roosevelt sighed. “Well, I can’t say this is ordinary, but nothing about today has been ordinary. Alright, the obvious question… what do you suggest we DO about the Sakura Team members?” |

Roosevelt Mansion - Den "...I'm pretty sure you could fill both roles very easily, Nanami," Marco laughed again, at Nanami's comment about being a bodyguard. In addition, she did have that same sort of cold personality that assassins would be thought of having. Train also had that same sort of personality, when he first met him. Nanami with a personality like Train's current personality, though... Now THAT is a funny thought. “… What do you suppose happens now?” "That's a good question..." Marco answered Nanami, "I'd guess since the enemy attack here is under control, the focus is probably going to fall onto Prince Musashi now. Hopefully it won't be in a bad way, since we gave them the advance warning to this attack, and helped combat them. But if not..." Marco then paused, thinking, as well as digging around into his pockets. "If not, we'd probably have to get Musashi out of here quick," he then added, before throwing his car keys towards Nanami, "I could probably distract them enough to let you all get away quick." |

[Roosevelt Mansion] [Den] Nanami did not comment on Marco’s observation of how easily she could be an assassin, mostly because he was absolutely right. A key part of her job was to assassinate Musashi if he ever did anything to threaten the Empire… and there were some people who would want her to kill him now for what he was doing. When he tossed her his keys and mentioned the possibility of having to escape quickly, Nanami sighed and shook her head. “Forget it. I didn’t save your life just to leave you behind now. That would be a waste of those healing herbs.” Nanami stated matter-of-factly. “If we have to escape in a hurry… I can take care of that. For right now it’s better if we, ugh, be diplomatic. Musashi has wanted a chance like this; I suppose he’ll take it.” |

Roosevelt mansion Didymus sighed as Roosevelt asked him his question. "Sir...frankly, my unit-the Puritans, our nickname, at least-were handling their duties quite well and in manners that are less...questionable, considering individuals such as Miss Kujo. We may not have served in any open conflict, but that's not what the unit was formed to do, perhaps..." He paused. "...I wouldn't recommend returning them to duty without further investigation of what's really going on, at least. With that said, it would be foolish to disregard the offer of aid that their captain has now appeared with." |

-Roosevelt Mansion- Jenny was helping with the injured, while Aaron had been helped inside and was sitting on a chair, still exhausted... -Gallic Enterprises- Blake stared at Melanie, “I am Blake...I'm just...in two places...Hold on...I will get Joyce and Sage...” Blake disappeared in a flash of shadows... Sage blushed as Joyce kissed him, then glanced towards Samara. She was kind of creepy... Before he could say anything, Blake sat up, rubbing his eyes. “It's time we leave...” Blake said, then held up his hands, suddenly pulling Sage and Joyce through some shadows, along with himself! Shadows reopened by Melanie, Kanna, and Rica, and Joyce, Sage, and Blake would appear from them. Sage was shivering. “We're here now...” Blake said quietly. “Hey, bozo, pay attention to your opponent!” Samuel yelled, rushing at Sire and throwing a punch at the man! Meanwhile, Lily was getting back up...and she looked pissed. |

[Roosevelt Mansion] [Upstairs] “I know all about your unit, and I am highly impressed by what it’s accomplished. That is precisely one of the reasons why you are conducting this investigation. If any member of the former Sakura Team is involved in something sinister, we need to know about it. However, I’ll not ignore all of the good the team did in the past because of one member. If some of them are willing to help, it’s better than none.” Roosevelt replied thoughtfully. [Gallic Enterprises] Rica’s eyes widened. Blake’s abilities were… impressive. Maybe moreso than Kanna’s. He shuddered for a moment. “Good, we’re all here, so we can all leave. Now hurry down the fire escape! Kids, stay close to Melanie.” […] Samuel’s punch smashed into Sire’s super-hard skin… and did nothing. Sire stumbled back a bit, but he was uninjured. “Bah! You’re pissing me off!” Sire slashed at Samuel with his clawed glove, unaware that his attack would be as useless as Samuel’s had been. |

Roosevelt Mansion - Den Marco couldn't help but notice that Nanami didn't sound all that thrilled about 'diplomacy', so he had to ask about that. But first... "So now my value is due to those herbs being used on me... Is that why Musashi's so valuable, then? He's gotta get injured a lot, with how he seems to seek out trouble and danger at every turn..." He soon afterwards added a laugh to make sure the ever-serious Nanami could understand he was joking around. "But also... Not a fan of the diplomatic angle to success?" |
