[Red Lounge]

Rica gave a rather large smirk. He wasn’t sure if spending time with this blonde would help him find Samuel – in fact he suspected it wouldn’t – but he did have a feeling that it would be fun.

“I would be delighted to stay with you, darlin’.” Rica said with a huge grin forming on his face.

[Roosevelt Mansion]

Snake moved to the window by the door and opened fire. The window shattered and one of the HYDRA agent with a rifle was struck, stumbling back and hitting the ground.

The HYDRA agent with the BAR immediately opened fire on the door, bullets shredding it as they flew. The two riflemen still standing also opened fire, but they aimed at the walls by the door, hoping to hit anyone who was hiding!

Musashi ran over to the side and took a few shots, but he wasn’t as good a shot as Snake and he missed!

Nanami… had disappeared! She’ll show up next post.

Didymus was quiet...but he took cover, then took out a grenade. There didn't seem to be too much cover where the attackers were.

"FRAG OUT!"

In a split second, the grenade sailed out of one of the windows at the attackers!

[Roosevelt Mansion]

BOOM!

The frag grenade went off just feet away from the group of enemies. One of the riflemen and the agent with the BAR were both immediately taken down, ending the hail of gunfire on the door.

The agent with the BAR was clearly dead; the rifleman was alive but injured.

The one remaining rifleman jumped back behind a hedge, and motioned behind him.

Back at the trucks, a few more figures jumped out. One of them was moving VERY fast, and seemed to be rushing around the building as if looking for another way in.

That’s where Nanami was waiting. She had rushed to the back door, expecting a secondary attack.

The attacker was a woman in green, with black hair.

She said nothing; immediately drawing a pistol and firing at Nanami, who had to dodge it.

-Red Lounge-

Galv sighed, shaking his head to Rica, then turned to Ryan.

“Alright, we'll look in the VIP section then,” Galv said, “You should be able to get us in.”

After all, the current C.E.O. of one of the largest companies in America would count as a VIP.

Samuel smirked, looking at the broken glass in the man's hand.

“Ohhh, the old broken glass?” Samuel said, “That's a classic, but could you aim for the face? I don't want my suit ruined. It's a nice suit after all.”

-Gallic Enterprises-

“My shadows will stop anyone...” Blake frowned, “I'll use them to protect everyone. No one will hurt my family.”

Sage paused, looking around at the group. He had known that Joyce's family had powers for a while. Joyce had told him when they were younger, and made him promise not to tell anyone. Sage had kept that promise. He hadn't even told his father.

Heck, he secretly wished he had a power to. While Joyce said it didn't matter, he always thought, in the back of his mind, that Joyce would like him better if he had a power.

“Ummm...Why don't I go and see if I can't get everyone something to eat?” Sage suggested, standing up, “Any preferences?”

-Roosevelt Manor-

Aaron couldn't see well in the dark. It was part of his abilities. His eyes could adjust very fast to bright lights, but in darkness it took a while. Out in the bright, sunlit day, Aaron could see like an eagle even.

So Aaron had learned how to move in the dark without seeing.

He crept quietly, moving in an arc towards the trucks, so he wouldn't be in the way of his allies defending the door. He didn't want to get hit by friendly fire, after all.

[Roosevelt Manor]

“Doesn’t make sense…” Snake muttered to himself. He was currently taking cover, but his mind was racing. If these guys were indeed a professionally trained hit squad on their way to go after President Roosevelt, then ‘run at the front door’ was a extremely poor plan.

Unless the small force shooting at the door was meant to make a lot of noise and a lot of bullet holes and draw their attention to a single entry point, while the bulk of the enemy forces were actually going to break in front different entrances.

Snake wasn’t that worried – they were just guarding the front door because they were here. The Secret Service was protecting the other doors, and they had most of them people upstairs. By now the Secret Service had to have called in for back up, and police and federal agents would be rushing towards the manor now.

[…]

At the back, Nanami rushed forward, throwing a knife towards the woman in green. She caught it and threw it into the ground, then fired several shots which forced Nanami to take cover.

[…]

At the sides of the Manor, there were suddenly loud explosions! On both sides, HYDRA agents had crept up, planted bombs and detonated them to create their own entrances; and now they were rushing into the manor…

"Of course I will" Ryan said simply, pulling out some form of ID before looking back at Rica. "Come on you old creeper. Leave the girl, we have work to do....She's too young for you anyways."

OHOHOHO. Gotta love that irony.

[...]

"You're arrogant. I don't like arrogant" The man stated, rushing at Samuel and swinging his arm. He was hoping to take a chunk out of his face!

Gallic Enterprises

Melanie appreciated that Blake wanted to protect his family...But she didn't like how seriously he spoke. He was a child after all.

"Something to eat would be lovely darling" Melanie said, looking to Sage.

"Oh! I'll go with him!" Joyce said, standing up quickly. "Come on Sage" she said pulling him out of the room. As soon as they were out of sight the girl took Sage's hand.

Rica glared at Ryan. He had a feeling that no one would mind if he put a bullet in Ryan’s brain, but he supposed that would kill the mood tonight.

“Don’t presume to tell me what to do, McCall. You’re just a very small fish.”

Roosevelt Mansion - Main Hall

"...what I'd give for a fancy eye that could look into the future a few seconds, about now..." Marco commented to himself, as he started fending off COBRA HYDRA peoples. This was a bit different than at the restaurant earlier.

Way different.

"If any of you military guys have any ideas for me to do, I'm all ears!"

==========

Roosevelt Mansion - Outside

Meanwhile outside, as Aaron attempted his sneak attack, he would likely notice something quickly jump past him, sounding much like a simple cat on the run towards the mansion.

"FLANK ATTACK!" Didymus called.

He had his BAR ready.

"Alright, come on. There are a number of staircases, we can bunch up where they all converge, though and create kill zone just where they all arrive on the second floor..." he said. He had looked at a map of the place before the shooting began.

“That's the pot calling the kettle black,” Galv said to Ryan, frowning. Of course, Galv was also older then Melanie, but just by a year.

He followed after Ryan into the VIP room...

Samuel didn't move, the bottle scraping across the side of his face.

Samuel grinned, bits of glass clattering to the ground, some on his shoulder. His face...looked fine.

“Let's see...three points for originality, four for your yell, though I'll give you a solid seven for that swing,” Samuel said, brushing the glass off his suit, “Now then, my turn.”

Samuel darted forward, grabbing the man's hand that held the bottle. Then squeezed, crushing the glass while it was still in the man's hand!

-Gallic Enterprises-

Sage and Joyce headed out of the room, Sage pausing as he saw Lily leaning against the far wall.

“Can I help you?” Lily asked, turning her attention to them.

“We were wondering about getting something to eat, perhaps?” Sage asked.

Lily smiled, “I'll send someone out for some sandwiches, alright?” She turned, snapping her fingers, and a man in a suit appeared.

“Yes Ms. Gallic?” the man asked.

“Can you get an aid to get our guests something to eat? The sandwich shop down the street, I think,” Lily said. The man nodded, then headed off. Lily then turned back to Sage and Joyce.

“So Joyce, how have you been? I hear you want to be a reporter?” Lily asked, “My company owns a newspaper, you know. I'm sure I could pull some strings and get you a job when you're out of school. Least I could do for my niece.”

-Roosevelt Mansion-

Aaron paused, frowning. Was it one of the bad guys, getting past him? Someone else? Was it just a cat, scared from the gunshots and running inside?

Did the Roosevelts even own a cat?

He shook his head, looking towards the explosions. He focused, his hands suddenly glowing brightly, and he fired a beam of light towards one of the vans!

[Roosevelt Mansion]

With HYDRA agents pouring into the Mansion from two sides, it was a bad situation. Snake hated to abandon the first floor, but Didymus’ plan was their best choice of action – plus they would have secret service support on the upper floor.

“You heard the man! Let’s move!” Snake called, but he would be the last one up the stairs. He fired at the hall, mainly to keep the enemies hiding in cover so that the group had a chance to move.

Musashi frowned, and fired a few shots himself, before he rushed up the stairs. “Laila! Adrianna! Stay close to me…” He called to them.

“Can’t believe this is happening…” Gemini frowned as she ran up the stairs.

Nanami rushed back in. She was bleeding from a wound on her cheek, but she seemed fine. She noticed Marco and was quickly at his side.

“Move. We need to get upstairs and make a blockade.” Nanami seemed to be ignoring her injuries.

[…]

Outside, Aaron’s beam of light hit the van and it shook! Several HYDRA agent jumped out, all seemingly blinded for a moment. They were all also holding guns, and would likely attack as soon as they could see again!

Marco nodded to Didymus's suggestion, starting a slow backwards retreat towards the staircase, from where he was dealing with HYDRA members.

Then soon thereafter, Nanami had returned, bleeding a little, but not looking all that worse for wear, and then she was barking orders.

To this, Marco again nodded, and wasn't about to disagree. People like Didymus and Nanami were trained to be able to deal with situations like this, while Marco himself was not. Following what they said was probably the best way to keep everyone here 'relatively' safe...

So Marco started to go more quickly back, and then up the stairs.

[Roosevelt Mansion]

The plan was in motion and the group was now on the second floor. There was only one staircase that led up to the third floor, where the President and his Secret Service team were located. At the top of that staircase was Agent Coleson and his best men, all with their weapons trained on the stairs.

Snake ushered the others to the bottom of the stairs. This would be the only place they could make their stand. They were at the end of a long hallway, with several rooms. The other halls all connected here, at the base of the stairs.

“Everyone look alive!” Snake called to the group.

Nanami, meanwhile, was near the stairs. She briefly stopped to look at her arm where a bullet had grazed her skin. Then she looked up at the others.

“We have two major problems. The first is a woman in a green suit. I don’t have any clue who she is, but she’s VERY skilled, and VERY fast. The second is a man called The Gorgon.”

At this, Musashi nearly shouted. “What!? Nanami, that’s not possible… Shishido is dead!”

Nanami shook her head. “Then he looks and moves very well for a dead man. He’s here, Musashi, and he’s alive; and he’s working with HYDRA.”

Didymus was clearly displeased.

"So, you know this other person? We need the intel now, then. What can we expect?"

Musashi shook his head, looking to Didymus. “It’s not possible that Shishido is here. Nanami has to be mistaken.”

Nanami is rarely ever mistaken. She has a sharp intellect and a keen eye for details. She pushed past Musashi and looked to Didymus.

“His name is Tomi Shishido, but he was nicknamed ‘The Gorgon’. He was a well-respected member of the Japanese Navy and a brilliant swordsman.”

“And he’s DEAD.” Musashi interrupted. “He was on a ship that had a mechanical problem, they crashed, it sunk and he DIED. And even if he wasn’t dead, he was opposed to my father meeting with the Germans! There’s no way he’d be here helping HYDRA.”

Nanami turned back to him. “His body was never found, Musashi. And you yourself said if anyone could have survived, it was Shishido. I can’t explain why he’s here, but he is.”

Now she turned her attention back to Didymus. “And he’s extremely dangerous. He’s fast, he’s skilled, he’s highly trained and he’s damn good with a blade. Do NOT let him get close to you.”

Musashi shook his head in disbelief.
