Outside Convent "I can't say I know THAT much about the Sons of the Boss...some whispers, sure, but intel is treated, ideally, on a need-to-know basis." He paused. "Frankly, I didn't expect that the Germans would even be here, let alone with the Thule Society...but frankly, considering the...unusual...nature of the Sakura pilots, I suppose I can't say I'm surprised." Diana and Suburu raised eyebrows at him. "As for what we're up against, again, I cannot say. I encountered a commie earlier, even..." he said. "...but I wouldn't be surprised if we do have more...paranormal...foes to deal with. As for how we win...I seriously doubt the Nazis will employ an army like that, even if they can. The Thule Society is a very niche part of the German Reich. It plays a lot into what plans they may have to restructure German society and culture, but it is itself a very small portion of their overall forces-a type that...well, I hesitate to say "specializes" in paranormal fields, but they at least think they do, and admittedly, their capacity to do harm is great. The monster you fought...for one, they're not quite as in control as they'd like to think-didn't you see how when you interrupted their ritual by gunning one down, EVERYTHING hit the fan, even for THEM? And from what I've seen..." he paused, not sure he should disclose it. "...well, that monster at the warehouse? Not quite as easily controlled as you think. I seriously doubt that man's body was his own anymore, really." Suburu raised an eyebrow. "And what would YOU know about these affairs?" "Enough." Didymus said. "In light of today's events, I should like to leave it at that." At least, for now, perhaps... |

Kanna's Suite Kanna didn't like the idea that Galv could possibly make Melanie's powers stronger, but she gave a little nod. "If it helps to change like that then you should" She stroked the boy's hair for a moment, looking down at him. "I need to look over a few papers...You finish eating." Kana then stepped away, grabbing the papers and plopping down in a chair and reading carefully...It all seemed to be instructions on her latest hit...A politician visiting from Washington DC and staying at this hotel...Apparently he was the head of a new organization created to combat terrorism...She wondered what CIA could possibly stand for.... No matter....He was going to be dead in less than an hour. Apparently this needed to be a quick job.... She then sighed, looking over to Blake...This would be slightly more complicated with him around. Streets Joyce nodded, closing her eyes and focusing once more....Not only on things with large quantities of electricity....but things that were cold...But charged. It was a weird combination, but that was basically her brother. "I think i've got something" she said pointing forward "This way" Rica's Safehouse Melanie nodded, her hand rubbing at her mostly flat belly. Since she had suspected her latest pregnancy she had been feeling strange...She knew the feeling though, it happened with her last two children...Getting random shocks and feeling freezing early on wasn't out of the question... "I'll try" she said, focusing on not using her powers. City Hall Crystal eyed the strange woman who had made her way past the secretary without any issue...She decided to play her shadow and carefully follow her... But it wouldn't be as easy as just following behind her....So Crystal eyed the vents.... Makeshift Safehouse Booth Adrianna and Laila frowned. Neither of them spoke German, nor did they have any reason to. Their mom wasn't German either! Why the heck was she a Nazi!? "Sorry, they don't teach that language in school" Adrianna said with a shrug. |

-Rica's Safe House- “Alright then...hopefully we can find him...” Galv said, still looking nervous. “Poor Blake...” He sighed. There was another reason he was worried. Blake had a lot of power. His shadows seemed to be an order or two of magnitude more powerful then Melanie's, and even Joyce's as well, and Joyce had the electrical boost too. He hated to think of someone trying to take advantage of him and use that power... -Makeshift Warehouse- “No...I just know English and Spanish...” Aaron frowned, “And a handful of random Asian words that Sensei shouts at me. Won't tell me what language they are but I can figure out what they mean through context.” He frowned, looking down at the German words, “Well, I guess we wait for Nanami to recover a bit, then ask her...” -Streets- Sage nodded, carrying Joyce towards the direction she was pointing in, hoping this time it would be right. Of course, Sage would be happy to carry Joyce around the city all day. He was just also worried about Blake... -Kanna's Suite- Blake paused, wondering what he should change himself to look like. He looked to his grandmother, reaching out for a muffin, munching it now. She seemed very smart. “What should I look like?” Blake asked, “I don't want to be found yet...Should I just look older? Like Samara? Or someone else?” Blake was a kid, and he had been wandering around alone for almost a day now. He was latching unto Kanna as someone he could trust, someone who could tell him exactly what he needed to do to get his powers under control. |

Kanna's Suite "You can look like whatever you would like, their your powers after all" Kanna said, moving over to a vanity and powering her nose. She then began applying lipstick and trying her hair up in an elegant knot. "Though if you're trying to avoid your parents I would change the hair" She then turned back to him, frowning a bit. She would need to make a hasty exit after the next murder...She wouldn't have time to come back here.... "Would you like to come with me? I have a few things I need to do for....Work" Kanna fails as a grandmother. Streets "Wooooooah....That's a huge building" Joyce said, looking up at an extremely tall hotel that her powers had led them to..."I think he's in there....Somewhere...." |

-Kanna's Suite- Blake just nodded, thinking it over, letting his shadows move around him a bit. It calmed him. Well, he didn't want Samara to come out if his parents came near...maybe this would stop her. He focused, changing his form so he looked like Samara once more, then walked over to Kanna. “Where are we going?” Blake asked, “What is your job?” -Streets- Sage paused, looking at the hotel. He frowned, then got a devilish grin. “Can you walk Joyce?” Sage asked, “I think I know how we can get it...But it might look bad if I'm carrying you...” |

[Outside Convent] ((Vidit, nobody knows that the Sons of the Boss are a threat. ^^; Their whereabouts are currently unknown, but at this point in history they’d be considered war heroes, and there’s absolutely no reason why anyone would be planning to defeat them.)) “A commie? A Soviet soldier?” Snake was shocked to hear this, and his eyes widened. “… Did he use a Western Revolver? A Smith and Wesson?” Snake seemed extremely disturbed by this news, even moreso than the idea that they were up against some kind of paranormal evil. “… You’ve eased some of my worries, but you’ve made me very concerned about this Soviet agent, especially if it’s who I think it is…” [Rica’s Safehouse] “Okay, good.” Rica said, and he activated the device. Soon he was able to see a small hit on the screen. “… It’s in the area of the warehouse. If we go back there, we should be able to follow it to wherever Blake is now.” He paused, seeing the worry on both of their faces. “We’ll find him. This is what I do. I realize I’m hardly your favorite person in the world, but believe me when I say I’m good at my job.” Rica said, heading out the door. [Makeshift Warehouse] “Darn…” Musashi frowned, rubbing the back of his neck and leaning back on his chair. He bit his lip, looking back at the paper. “Wait…” Musashi looked a bit closer at the map. His eyes flashed wildly. “Wait, wait, wait…” He jumped up. “I know this place! It’s… the Governor’s Mansion? That’s not good… the Governor could be one of their targets…” [City Hall] Down the hall, the woman disappeared into the Mayor’s private office at the end of the way. There were some immediate raised voices, shouting, and after a moment the woman reappeared, with the Mayor following her! They hadn’t noticed Crystal, yet, and seemed to be leaving the office… |

Makeshift Safehouse: Nanami’s Room Marco... was very surprised that Nanami actually told him as much as she had, even though a bit of it was still cryptic and not really explained. That DID mean that he could try to research some of that, if it was possible to, however. Though doing so could also lead Nanami to probably try and kill him with fancy secret martial arts... Risky. But since Nanami actually went into some depth about what she could do, Marco decided he should do the same for her, about what he could do. |

[Makeshift Safehouse – Nanami’s Room] Nanami had revealed more than she normally would, but she was very tired and Marco had earned some trust with his actions today. Still, she was careful not to tell him too much. Her powers were rare, and while he might be able to research them to some extent, she doubted he would find out much… and her martial arts style was one closely guarded by her Clan, so unless Marco planned on traveling to Japan and asking the head of her Clan, he would not learn much. … though Nanami would be horrified if Marco ever came near the head of her Clan… After Marco explained, she sighed and looked over to him. “… Thank you for telling me.” Nanami flicked her eyes towards him. “… I’ll admit, I didn’t like the idea of taking another random American into our folds, but you’ve actually been useful…” She took off her glasses and put them on the shelf, and then she undid her ponytail and let her hair fall loose. “… Don’t make me regret trusting you, Marco.” Nanami said suddenly, looking over towards him and narrowing her eyes. |

Outside Convent “… You’ve eased some of my worries, but you’ve made me very concerned about this Soviet agent, especially if it’s who I think it is…” "Easing some of your worries? Does that mean you're accepting what I'm saying as true? Well, good..." he said. "...as for this Soviet agent, or I think he was, yes, I seem to recall him taking fascination with my sidearm...heh, funny this comes up, one of the Sakura Team members we're to chase down," he said to Snake quietly, preventing any of the Sakura Team members present from hearing, "....was a veteran of the Red Revolution. She served with the Reds and helped bring about the current...situation...in so doing..." He shook his head, smirking. "And now Hitler and Stalin are signing treaties...at least Japan and the Soviets don't seem to get along. If we're lucky, maybe they'll weaken each other; they've already had skirmishes. Skirmishes that the captain of the Sakura Teams elsewhere has masterminded..." |

[Outside Convent] “Why wouldn’t I?” Snake asked, raising an eyebrow. “From what I gather, you have more experience in these issues than I; and therefore it is only sensible that I accept what you say. Just as, if the subject were something where I have more experience than you, I would hope you would accept my words.” Snake turned and cast his eyes towards the skyline of the city. He listened to what Didymus had to say. “… Damn. Revolver Ocelot is in New York.” Snake’s face grew grim as he turned back to Didymus and Jenny. “Revolver Ocelot is a member of GRU, one of the Soviet’s secret agencies. They’re among the most elite soldiers the Soviet Union has, and they’re experts at both being spies and saboteurs.” Snake frowned. “Ocelot is also…” He trailed off. “… If he’s in New York, then this changes everything. We either have a deadly new foe, or a potential ally… either way, we all need to be on guard. If Ocelot indeed knows about your investigation, he’ll be keeping tabs on you…” |

Outside Convent "I suppose you're right, fair enough, fair enough...heck, your experience in the Great War is part of what brought you onto this team..." Didymus chuckled. "Oh, he knows. We left quite the impression on each other..." he said. "...on that subject, perhaps we should leave. I'd hate to bring down a communist purge on this convent..." he added. "...and a new ally? Why the heck would he have a new ally? I'm not sure I wish to work with a COMMUNIST, who KIDNAPPED me, and had no qualms endangering civilian life to his advantage, as I recall..." he said. "...was there anyone else in that parking lot...?" He shook his head. "At any rate, perhaps the ladies can use an escort home..." |

[Outside Convent] Now that they were far enough away from the Convent grounds, Snake took a cigar from his pocket and lit it. After a few deep puffs, he turned to Didymus. “Relax. Firstly, before we can even know if Ocelot would help us, I need to find him – and assuming he doesn’t shoot me the minute he sees me, I need to talk to him.” His eyes glanced back to the city in the distance. “… Over the last few days, Nazi saboteurs have gunned down military officials and bombed a hotel, and we now know that both HYDRA, the Nazi special weapons divisions, and the Thule Society have been operating on US Soil, kidnapping and killing our citizens and invoking paranormal dangers at one of our most beloved monuments.” He paused, puffing the cigar again. “… Considering all of that, would you turn down aid, even if it came from an unsavory source?” Then, Snake actually chuckled. It was a grim sound. “Besides. Ocelot has passed information to the West before. I met him a year ago. I was doing some espionage work in Italy. Ocelot passed some information to me then, knowing full well I worked for America. And I’ve heard from my contact in MI5 that in January, Ocelot passed information on to the British. I don’t know exactly what game he’s playing… but I wouldn’t consider him an enemy just yet.” |

Rica’s Safehouse Melanie frowned at Rica but gave a nod "I trust you..." she said. She didn't like him, but he knew he would help. If for no other reason than she was Kanna's daughter. Makeshift Safehouse "Why would mom be stupid enough to try to do something to the Governor?" Adrianna asked, as a sense of doom creeped up in her. "She'd be killed...He probably has guards hiding in the ceiling right about now" "Mom's crazy...She's probably find a way to kill him" Laila reasoned. City Hall "What the..." Crystal had found her way into the vents, and was watching the strange woman in white lead the mayor out of his office...She supposed that this was good opportunity for her, as she crawled into the empty room and jumped back down. The room looked normal....Nothing out of place...And the phone they needed right on the desk. Quickly Crystal rushed to the window and opened it. "Sama!" Kanna's Suite "It's nothing big...I just need to speak with a man in the hotel...You can come along...It won't take long..." And by talk Kanna totally means 'shoot in the head'. "You ready?" Streets "Sure...I should be fine" Joyce said, allowing the boy to put her down. She eyed him and noticed his expression "....What are you planning Sage?" |

[Makeshift Safehouse] Musashi shook his head, looking down at the map. He was silent for a few minutes, and then he looked to the girls. “… If the nazis are trying to sabotage New York, then killing the Governor would be one way to make a big impact.” Musashi looked grim. This was… serious stuff. [Streets] Rica’s device was beeping, and he soon led Melanie and Galv down the street. I should ask CR and AGOI when/if they can pick up Kanna’s trail. [City Hall] Sama was on the fire escape, shivering a bit from the cold. He looked up and saw the window open and he smiled, and slipped inside. “Great job, Crystal!” He grinned to her. “We’re inside… and now I need to make a call!” He walked over to the desk and picked up the phone receiver, and then he paused, looking over to Crystal. “… A couple years ago, there was this lady named Carthridge. She was accused of killing her husband, and the lady’s friend, the Governor’s wife, hired me to investigate and prove that her friend was innocent. I did, but in the end, she couldn’t pay me. See… the Governor didn’t want anyone to know his wife had second guessed the police, so instead, she told me if I ever needed help I could call and she’d talk to her husband.” Sama rubbed the back of his neck. “So… I’m hoping she still remembers me now that she’s in Washington.” Sama dialed a number, and after a few rings, someone answered. “Hello ma’am, this is Detective Sama, you… oh, you remember me? Thank you ma’am. Yes. Ma’am, I’ve been investigating the attacks in New York, and I have some information I need to share… yes, ma’am. Yes… Oh I see… okay. Yes ma’am… Thank you!” Sama hung up the phone and then turned to Crystal. “Okay, good… He’s gonna contact me sometime today. We should probably get out of here…” |

-Makeshift Safe House- “How prepared would those guards be in dealing with someone like us, though?” Aaron asked, letting light glow from his hands for a few seconds. “Mom has both my light and Adrianna's shadows...She could use those to kill someone without having to use something like a gun...” -Kanna's Suite- Blake nodded, taking Kanna's hand as she headed out. He wondered who she needed to talk to. Maybe it was someone else who could help them! Poor Blake. -Streets- Sage just grinned, “Just watch.” He strolled into the hotel, Joyce presumably behind him. “Ahem, I need to book a room,” Sage said, thumping his hands on the desk. The receptionist looked up at him, raising an eyebrow, “And?” “I'm sorry, do I need to repeat myself?” Sage asked, looking annoyed, “My father sent me here to get him a hotel room. He wants nothing less then an suite.” “I'm sure your father is someone important, but we just can't-” “My father is Ryan McCall, and he now owns this hotel. Don't you read the papers?” Sage asked. The receptionist suddenly paled, eyes widening. Just yesterday Lily Gallic had given control of the company to Ryan McCall...Of course, the papers had reported it. It would have been front page news, if it wasn't for the terrorist attacks in the city. And Gallic Enterprises owned quite a bit of real estate. “Oh my god...I'm so sorry!...You...you do look an awful lot like your father,” the receptionist said. “It's fine, you didn't realize,” Sage said, smiling now, “But the room?” “Of course, sorry, one moment...” the receptionist said, picking up a phone and dialing a number, talking rapidly. After a few minutes the phone was hung up, and the receptionist smiled, producing a key and handing it to Sage, “Here you go sir. Top floor, room number 923.” “Thank you,” Sage said, stalking towards the elevator. The receptionist paused, glancing towards Joyce. “Who's this?” the receptionist asked, frowning at Joyce. The girl was disheveled and they could almost swear she was...sparking? “She's my associate,” Sage answered, “Where I go, she goes.” “Right, right...sorry...” -Warehouse at the Docks- Galv frowned, back at the warehouse where he had been very close to finding Blake... (And I'm cool with Rica picking up the trail!) |
