[Airship Entryway] Alice shook her head. “Well... in we go.” She slowly walked up the plank into the ship, and down the hall until she reached the massive circular ballroom. The young woman looked around the room and sighed. There were a bevy of the richest and most powerful people in the room. She noticed Kanna, Gallic and Stark. Those three were all very well known for different reasons. She also noticed... “Oh! Hello Alice.” A short man with a round nose, a monocle and a top hat waved. He was the elected leader of Hydron, and the only person who was not on the council or in the military leadership who was revered as one of the most powerful people in town. The Mayor. “Who are your friends?” He looked to Didymus and Samuel. […] Stark gave a grin. The moment a pretty woman mentioned the word dancing, a switch was flipped in his head. “You know, Kanna, if you'd like to dance... I'm known to be very light on my feet.” Don't worry. Stark's not actually joining the eleven-mile long list of Kanna's suitors. He's just a womanizer. […] Speaking of said list: Rica, Ethan and Maize had finally arrived. Rica adjusted his top hat, fixed his tie, and turned to his BFF with a grin. “Well, here we are. Try to get along with the arrogant pricks in here. They're even worse than me.” At least he's honest. And humble. […] Sama sweat dropped and looked up at his friend with a grin. “Aww, come on! This party is sooooo booooooring. You're the only person I know here! Well, aside from Mr. Stark, but he's busy.” The boy put on his best sad puppy look. “Please? Can't I just hide back here with you?” |

Airship-ballroom Here it was. The lap of luxury and formality. The meeting of the rich and powerful. I walk in the valley of the shadow of death...please, Lord, remain with me even here in this...this...den of iniquity? I fear I have been indeed forced into a lair of sin and debauchery...still, perhaps I am too hard on these people...and even if I'm not, there but for Thy grace go I myself, I suppose... And to say he was unimpressed would be inaccurate. He was also fascinated by the dress, the surroundings, the food, the overall atmosphere, and even he would admit the attractiveness of the ladies in attendance, his own compatriot no exception. Then, the mayor was approaching, addressing them, no less. He was an odd man, and Didymus was uncertain if he would play the role of aristocrat patsy (they HAD put him there, right?) or what...still, to have the attention and interest of arguably the most powerful Hydron official was certainly quite a situation... "...Lady Malvin? You know the mayor?" he asked, not introducing himself or stating what his role allegedly was. |

-Streets- Cess grinned. He'd have to crash a party later, as he watched Shimera run off. He then turned to Shipper. “I'm afraid there's some...pressing business, I must attend to soon. Just came up,” Cess said, “Tell you what, give me a place to meet, and I'll give you your fortune, free of charge...Half price.” -The Airship- Galv almost didn't seem to realize that Jason was there, despite the fact that Jason was the entire reason he revealed himself. “Hello!” he said, smiling to Melanie, “Are you alright? I didn't mean to startle you!” Galv looked worried, then paused, remembering Jason. “I asked you first! But if you must know...I wanted to see how the airship worked...” Galv answered, “And who's she?” Galv returned his attention to Melanie, grinning. “Dancing is, unfortunately, not one of my strong suits,” Gallic said, “I suppose Mr. Stark here can obliged you.” “We're bodyguards,” Samuel told the Mayor, “Extra security.” Samuel felt like he and Didymus should be wearing dark glasses. “Maybe I'll get lucky, and find a woman who likes commoners with lots of cash,” Ethan said, his turn to tempt fate. Maize sighed and shook her head at the two, uncomfortable in her poofy dress. “You two try not to have too much fun,” Maize said, and set off, looking around, trying to find someone closer to her own age. |

Airship Grand Ballroom Spoony answered, "Well, I wouldn't say I get to go to on airships like this ALL the time, but... ya, frequently, I guess." Since there wasn't anybody within earshot, Spoony then said, "Well, you're learning stuff about me, so it's only fair that I ask you stuff, too. What kind of stuff do you do everyday? I don't really know a whole lot about the world outside of the nobles... but I am kind of interested in learning more about it." ((Ya, I know, this post is horribly short. I apologize.)) |

Shimera's Abode Shimera sneaked back inside her mansion and went back to her room to get ready for the party. Her parents were going to be back soon, and they really wanted her to go to this party. The silly girl just wanted to make friends as it was. |

Airship Grand Ballroom Sophie looked over, frowning a tiny bit but still remaining relitively cheery. "Uh...Well I do normal stuff I suppose" she said, unaware that normal for her would probably be totally foreign to Spoony. "I work in my grandpa's shop most days, making deliveries of parts and a few little repairs to some of the people around the city...Oh! I like to travel too -but I haven't been many places, I mostly just get to go around the city." She tried to make her life sound interesting but she was aware that it was rather mundane. [...] Jason blinked, looking back at Melanie who was still behind him. "Oh, that's Melanie" he said offhandedly, at first not realizing the boy's sudden intrest in the girl "She's my little sister. Mel, this is Galv. He works at one of the shops I visit a lot" Realizing that the strange redhead wasn't going to attack Melanie stepped out, giving a polite curtsy and a small sweet smile. "Uh...Hi" she managed quietly. "We're here because of the party" The boy explained "Our mother is doing...Business here" "Are your parents at the party too?" Melanie asked. [...] "Alright then, let's dance" Kanna said with a grin, eying Gallic as she took Stark's hand. "Dancing isn't difficult, it's all about making the right moves at the right times" [...] "You gave up pretty fast didn't you? What? There were no pretty girls to dance with?"Crystal sighed but gave a defeated nod, allowing Sama to stay in the back with her and the other waitstaff. "Alright, but if you get into trouble then I don't know you" That was kind of a joke...Crystal needed the money so she didn't want to get fired. |

[Airship] [Ballroom] Alice turned to Didymus and frowned a bit. “Yes... we've meet before. The Mayor is an old family friend.” She tried to smile. The Mayor turned to look at Didymus, and then at Samuel, and he gave a small chuckle. “Oh, bodyguards! How fun that must be! Why, when I was younger I wanted a bodyguard. I had an idea for three children to protect me with awesome super powers! Oh... but then I was told that was impossible, and to stop having crazy ideas.” He shrugged. “Oh my yes... so would anyone like some capers?” […] Rica chuckled. “I always want to have too much fun, Maize. It's one of my better qualities.” Rica smirked, as he looked around the room. He had his bad habits... lots of them... but he was still an decent guy. […] Tony gave a (semi-drunken) smile as he took Kanna's hand. “Everything in life is about making the right moves at the right times. I pride myself on being a master of making the right moves.” Stark grinned, slipping his arm around Kanna. It was part of the dance, but combined with what he just said, it clearly had a double purpose. […] Sama chuckled a bit, rubbing the back of his neck. “Aw... I'm not good at talking to all these rich girls.” Sama frowned, which implied that he was good at talking to some demographic of girls, which is clearly false; but shut up. He grinned when she finally agreed to him staying back here. “Don't worry! I won't get in any trouble, I promise... or at least, I won't drag you into any.” He frowned a bit. “Though you know, If you need a good job, you could always come work for Mr. Stark. You're a good engineer, Crystal! I bet you could even get a job working on airships...” Sama's face got a distant look. He was thinking of airships again... the boy really wanted to work on them. |

Airship Grand Ballroom Spoony was actually kind of intrigued by what Sophie was saying. It wasn't anything like what he was used to doing. Before Spoony had a chance to comment, though, his twin sister, Fork, had found him. Talking about Sophie's life in the slums was no longer an option for a topic of conversation, lest her cover be blown. "There you are!", Fork said. "Mom and dad have been looking for you." Fork then took a look at Sophie and asked, "So, who's this?" Spoony turned to Sophie and said, "Oh, uh... this is Sophie. She's the daughter of, uh, some dude that owns some really big company that deals with repairs and stuff. She's here as my invited guest." Fork raised an eyebrow and somewhat coldly said, "Delighted to meet you, Sophie. I'm Spoony's sister, Fork." Spoony was a bit nervous, and hoping his sister wouldn't catch wise. But Sophie certainly looked the part right now... so there wasn't really anything to worry about, right? Right? |

Airship-ballroom Alice was frowning at Didymus...? Is it something I said, or is she just as ill-at-easy around this guy as I am...? “Oh, bodyguards! How fun that must be! Why, when I was younger I wanted a bodyguard. I had an idea for three children to protect me with awesome super powers! Oh... but then I was told that was impossible, and to stop having crazy ideas.” Didymus blinked, and tried not to stare. It was apparent to him now why the aristocrats had chosen this man as mayor: he was at best childish, and at worst outright insane. Easily manipulated, and easily ostracized in the event that he messed up. Now you're just being both cynical AND paranoid. Besides, even IF the aristocrats were conspiring, wouldn't they know that a candidate THEY established going crazy could still ultimately be blamed on them? Here he was. Standing amidst the very heart of the aristocracy, at least for the evening, forming and pondering on conspiracies and power grabs he theorized they either were or may have been in the process of. A sign of being far too paranoid or learning my politics well, at least. Maybe both. “Oh my yes... so would anyone like some capers?” Didymus paused. Some of the foods offered around the room made his mouth water, others made him wonder if "high" society didn't have a second, hidden meaning. "Um...thank you, sir, but I think it may be best if we picked out what we liked ourselves, besides, there's so much offered here, and we just arrived, we have yet to see it all!" You know, he could just be ACTING crazy to hide a shrewd and cunning mind...gosh, can't I stop thinking about politics and conspiracy for a moment?! Knowing me, something's probably showing... He looked around. Already, it appeared, alchohol was flowing freely, people were plastering on fake smiles, handshakes and courtly remarks were being exchanged, and politics in the guise of friendliness and familiarity was playing out. ...no. I can't stop thinking about it. Not when I'm surrounded by it. A slight grin appeared for a split second upon his face. Situational awareness, right? |

-Airship- “My dad isn't here...” Galv said, “He said he had a job to do, with the military.” Samuel had not told Galv that he would be on the airship though, in the note he had left Galv. He didn't mention his mother. “No thank you sir,” Samuel said, “Eating might distract us from our job. It's good to meet you though.” He glanced to Didymus. “Calm down,” Samuel whispered to the younger man, “If you're too nervous, you'll miss things.” “Just don't wreck the place, Rica,” Ethan mentioned. |

Streets Shipper did not bat an eye. Maybe that was just who he was. Young and naive..or maybe just cheerful. Either way, he grinned, picking up the crates. "Tell ya what. Just pop into Shipper's Consignment Store. May find something ya like while you're there." Of course, Shipper was his last name. His Family had run the store long before Nathaniel was born into the family. He was the current heir..if things turned out differently, Aja would inherit it. But she was gone. Just as gone as his mom. He smiles. "See ya later, hm?" Library Violet wiped the receptionist desk clean with a filthy rag. There was a sweet smile on her forever silent lips. Something seemed to be on her mind. She pushed up her thick glasses. They seemed almost opaque. That was one thing her mother didn't like; not only was she a mute, her eyesight was getting progressively worse. Violet had two flaws. But of course, she was lonely. She wanted company...but the library was almost always in perfect solitude... |

[Airship] The Mayor blinked and looked around, and then he shrugged and ate a handful of capers. “Well, suit yourselves then! But you know, it is rather silly all this security... we'll be taking off soon, and I don't think anything too bad could happen way up in the sky, you know!” The Mayor clearly didn't know RPs very well. […] Rica shrugged. “I try not to wreck too much. They'll make me replace it.” He laughed a bit, and scanned the room. “I don't know, though. Seems everyone's getting into the spirit of a party. Care to help me find a lampshade?” […] Roll, meanwhile, still dressed in her stolen waitress uniform – with her crossdressing brother – grinned. “Rock, I can't believe we're in an actual aristocratic party! I really hope we can find something delicious to try!” |

Airship-grand ballroom “Calm down," Samuel whispered to the younger man, “If you're too nervous, you'll miss things.” Didymus looked to Samuel, briefly, and nodded. "Thanks..." he whispered. “Well, suit yourselves then! But you know, it is rather silly all this security... we'll be taking off soon, and I don't think anything too bad could happen way up in the sky, you know!” "Um, thank you..." Didymus said, puzzled still by the mayor's manner. At least he seemed like an friendly man, even if not necessarily the brightest one. He looked to Alice. "Well, Lady Malvin? What strikes your fancy this evening?" he asked. "A-HEM!" A short ways away from the trio stood a pair of rather beautiful women, one of whom bearing a striking similarity to Alice, with the same eye and hair color, the other looking almost nothing like her, complete with dark hair and eyes. Didymus looked over. The blond was glaring at them. The dark-haired one simply smiling with a smile that said "Another mistake I must now correct, silly girl..." "Don't look now..." he whispered to Samuel, trying to prevent Alice from hearing. "...but we're about to get caught up in aristocratic politics..." he said. The two women approached, the first storming, the other walking. "Who. Are. THESE?!" the blond demanded of Alice. The dark haired one smiled at the two "bodyguards". It was a political smile. "Gentlemen, could you give us a moment, please?" Didymus hesitated. "Lady Alice? What is your wish?" The newly-arrived blond glared at him now. "DON'T play that game with me. You are NOT our family's servants. Now get out of here before-" The other woman covered her mouth. "What she's TRYING to say is that we'd just like a little privacy to talk with Lady Alice, just for a moment, if you could give us some space? Please...now?" Didymus hesitated still, waiting for Alice's word, but even he was starting to shift away... |

Airship Jason frowned a bit, pretty sure that his little sister had mentioned something she shouldn't have about Galv's home life. Of course she couldn't have known, as she wasn't aware of the hardships outside the upper circle of the city. "Oh...."She said with a little frown before perking up suddenly. "Well you can hang out with us tonight then! Isn't that right Jason?" The boy's frown deepened...This would surely lead to trouble. "I dunno Mel, I think Galv should probably head back...And clean up a bit. I wouldn't want him to get into trouble..." Melanie pouted a bit and Jason sighed. A moment later the boy was defeated. ".....Fine....Come on Galv, we better get you cleaned up a bit...Melanie you stay here" Jason decided, leading the redhead towards one of the bathrooms. [....] Sophie blinked a bit as the girl introduced herself and offered a hand (which probably would not be accepted) "Nice to meet 'cha!" she said cheerfully "....You're name is really Fork? Sounds like some joke your parents decided to pull on you as a baby" She didn't mean for this to be rude but as an inhabitant of the slums Sophie lacked a certain level of tact. [...] "Maybe one day" Crystal said with a small grin, now moving to load one of her trays full of drinks. She offered one to Sama "You want? I mean you are technically are a guest" The drink was bubbly and smelled a bit of alcohol and cherries...Strange. Crystal leaned in, smiling a bit "Anyways, i'm just doing this to save up, the rich yuppies pay pretty well you know...It's been hard to find someone to take me seriously to engineer. But who knows, if we get our face out there enough maybe we can own one of these one day!" |

[Airship] Alice groaned in annoyance. Of course her sisters would be here. They lived for snooty events like this one, and they were about to ruin her cover. She narrowed her eyes, and stepped towards her sisters. “Quiet down! Stop making a scene, you're going to attract attention!” Alice scolded her sisters in an odd turn on the usual. She approached them, and led the two off into a corner where they could speak without interruption. “Look, don't make a scene right now! Those two are soldiers, and they're here for a reason! We're working security for this crummy party, now just leave us alone, will you?” […] Sama rubbed his neck, but he hesitantly accepted the drink. “... What is it?” He smelled it and recoiled. Sama wasn't a big drinker. He frowned as she went on to tell him of her woes in finding an engineering job. “I could always ask Mr. Stark... he's a little weird, but he pays well, and I'm sure he'd hire you.” Sama frowned. You may wonder why he hadn't already tried getting his friend a job with Tony. If you do wonder that, then you don't realize how often Tony tries to pick up every woman he sees. But who knows, if we get our face out there enough maybe we can own one of these one day!" “Yeah, maybe we could own one of these some day...” He paused, his face turning slightly pink, and he decided to try the drink. |
