I can't see what you're imagining

-Fancy Streets- Cess smiled, leading Shimera down the streets, coming to a stop by a short girl, about ten years old. She was dark skinned, with big brown eyes and long black hair, and was frowning at Cess and Shimera. “So this is the girl I heard about?” the little girl said, looking over Shimera, “Really?” “Oh, be quiet Ila,” Cess said, then turned to blonde haired young woman. “Shimera, this is Ila. Ila's the daughter of the guy who, well, taught me everything I know. She's like a little sister to me,” Cess told Shimera, “She helps me out some too. Like this! Ila, we'll need a table and some chairs.” “Yah, yah,” Ila said, cracking her knuckles, then stomped on the ground, creating a table and four chairs out of the earth beneath them. “There you go. I'll start drawing a crowd.” Cess grinned, pulling out some cards, shuffling them. They were Tarot cards, well used. Cess didn't believe in them in the slightest, much like his palm reading, but he found a lot of people did. -Narroh Manor- “Oh, it's okay,” Maize said, grinning and walking over to Jason, “My mom died when I was young, so I never really knew what a mom was like...” She paused, thinking, then turned to Jason, smirking, “So how do I look in your clothes, hmmmmm?” “Okay...” Samuel said, frowning, “I know why I need to stop Kain...But your son is an adult...If he wants to bring home a girl, I don't see how that's my problem...” Galv smiled, nodding his head, “Alright! I can't wait to see!” Melanie's neighborhood would be a heck of a lot nicer then his. |

Fancy Streets Shimera 'ooh'ed at the cards. She got a closer looked at them. "What do these do?" she asked Cess. Avenger's Abode Avenger was working on something in the little workspace they had. KxS sat on the chair. She moped, giving ole 'Venger what he needed. "Wrench," he held out his hand for the tool he wanted. KxS grabbed it and slapped it on Avenger's hand so he could use it. He tried turned a nut with the wrench, but the wrench was too big. Avenger looked at his student to see that she wasn't even watching him. She was watching the floor. "KxS, look at me," Avenger told her. The girl looked up at him. Her teacher sighed. "Don't be so down. I'm sure you'll see those boys again. It'll probably be in a few years on my watch, but if you're meant to see them again, you will." KxS groaned and looked back at the floor. |

[Old Factory] Alice had crashed against the wall and she was gritting her teeth in pain. Didymus had come her way, and she groaned as she saw him. “Okay... not my best plan.” She sighed. The attacks on the automaton were finally dealing damage. The armor was starting to break. Asuka grabbed her rifle and fired at the weak spot that was forming, and the machine exploded! [Stark Enterprises] As Colette rushed over to hear the story, Sama gave a little chuckle. It was cute that this little girl was so interested... but at the same time, Sama wanted to keep her from hearing the darker side of the story about Tesla. “Well... traveling the world and inventing things to help people is a really noble goal.” Sama said with a small smile. “But what would help the most of all would be if we invented a way TO travel.” Sama's mind was racing as ideas churned in his brain. “If we had a safer way of traveling outside of Hydron... then the engineers could all travel, and we could change the whole world for the better...” |

Old Factory The machine finally exploded! “Okay... not my best plan.” "I..." Didymus looked legitamately...concerned? Worried? Relieved? Angry? All of these things may have shown on his face. "...are you all right, Lady Alice? Come on, we need to get out of here and report what's happened..." he said. He looked around, at the bodies of the slain slum leaders. "...command is NOT going to like this. This...what does this mean?" |

[Old Factory] Alice groaned as she got back to her feet. Her injuries had gotten worse thanks to the combat. “Of course command won't like it.” Asuka joined in the conversation as she walked over. “The leaders of the slums are dead, and it looks like WE did it... obviously our bosses won't fall for the clear set-up, but--” “All it takes is the rumor.” Alice finished with a sigh. “Damn it!” The noble was angry. She punched a wall, despite her injured shoulder. “I can't believe this... everything I've worked for... this set back could destroy it all!” |

Old factory Didymus watched and reflected as Alice cursed. Was this the end of Section Three's work, and the undoing of any progress it had made? Oh NO... he thought. ...the propagandists for the movement I investigated will have a field day with this... "We have to expose who really did this. I don't know who will listen, but it MUST be done. But for now, Lady Alice, we need to get YOU out of here. NOW." He wondered, in this moment, if maybe this would get Alice to set her sights on higher political aspirations? Section Three's work was good, but...he wondered if Alice couldn't perhaps do more good at higher levels of government... A good reason for this, perhaps... he thought. |

[Old Factory] “Get out of here...?” Alice repeated, and then she immediately shook her head. “We CAN'T! Not yet... we have to secure the crime scene and collect evidence right now! If we don't, someone could clean things up or remove evidence.” Alice was adamant. Her voice steeled up and strong, despite the clear pain on her face from the injuries. The Military Police operated as both of their namesakes. While they had a duty to be soldiers; they were also expected to be investigators of crimes. “... I'll do that.” Asuka volunteered. “I've got plenty of crime scene experience. Didymus, you get the noble out of here.” |

Old factory “... I'll do that. I've got plenty of crime scene experience. Didymus, you get the noble out of here.” Didymus nodded. "Thank you...what was your name again, if I may ask?" He found himself experiencing simultaneous attraction to and despising of this girl... Probably because she seems brash and arrogant, yet she's pretty and seems to want to help out... he shook his head. "Alright, squad!" "SIR!" the veteran soldier barked. "Work with the Ranger. We've radioed this in, do so again and we'll make sure that command is notified. Make sure we get what we need here." "YES SIR!" The veteran soldier turned to the rest of the squad and started barking orders, while Didymus looked to Alice. "Lady Alice, the car is this way. Please, come along..." |

((Second time this week I’ve done one of these in an RP, but…)) [TIMESKIP] Two Weeks Later. [Stark Workshop] “… It’s finished.” Tony Stark was standing in the middle of his workshop. For the last two weeks, Sama, Crystal, Hammah, Jimi and Colette had been hard at work. Stark himself had helped them as much as he could, and in an amazing thing to see, he had been sober most of the time. Sama had enormous respect for Tony Stark, but he knew the man had a problem with women and alcohol. Yet over the last two weeks, he had been addicted to something else – his work. As Stark worked on the project, he seemed to transform into the man Sama remembered from that day years ago, when he came to the young boy who had just lost an arm and offered him a job. “It’s actually finished…” Stark repeated, staring at the armor. “… Now this could be fun.” Stark grinned to himself. [Malvin Manor] Alice Malvin was not happy. She had made a full and rather remarkable recovery from her injuries in two short weeks, but during that time she had been under house arrest, unable to perform even basic desk duties. Instead she was forced to do all of her work through a courier – Didymus. The rumors of the murders of the slums leaders were still being talked about, and with Alice out of commission, she could do nothing to squash the rumor of her involvement. Every day, she feared for Section Three’s continued survival. Now, though, she was ready for active duty – and she was waiting for her ride to the office. |

Malvin Manor Didymus had pulled up the car, and the guards had waved him in. He drove up to the front of the manor, and parked the vehicle. Inside Alice's sisters were watching her. "Do be careful, Alice." the elder said. "You had us so very worried with your injuries...please, I realize that duty may call, but...try not to hurt yourself." "Huh." the middle sister remarked. "How ironic. You because so active that you were eventually forced to stay here like you always should have. Maybe there's hope for you yet." Ellie really did care about Alice...she just had a...unique...way of expressing it. "It appears the lieutenant is here, Alice...so I suppose we can't stop you..." Solie said, and a servant opened the door for Alice. Outside, Didymus stood. "Good morning, Lady Alice..." Her sisters were watching. Didymus hurried around and opened the passanger door for her... He reflected on the last two weeks. Making regular deliveries to this place and chatting regularly with Alice, constantly giving her updates and spending long hours talking about what had occurred, Alice's opinions on what should have occurred, some of his own, and more...he liked to think he had gotten to know her, at least, somewhat...and his suspicions about what she could be, what she could mean to Hydron, only increased with each conversation they had had...he had to remind her that she needed to be safe. As they drove, he spoke. "Do you mind if we make a small detour? We won't be late, don't worry..." If she answered in the affirmative, Didymus would drive until they came upon a building not too far from the officer academy. It was a church. Not too large-but it was a far cry from Wolfwood's in the slums. Tidy, historically stylish, and with a number of stained glass windows, it wasn't a full-on cathedral, but nothing to sneeze at. Didymus got out of the car. "Come on. I...wish to show you something." |

-Narroh Manor- “Two weeks...and he hasn't shown back up yet...” Samuel muttered, leaning back in his chair, sipping a cup of tea. Kain had yet to reveal himself... Of course...Galv and Melanie had also been getting closer. Galv was wandering the house, having become more familiar with it in the past two weeks. “Melanie!” Galv called out, looking for her, “Where are you?” -Shimera's Mansion- Cess was totally coming to see the girl again... -Gallic's Office- Back in Gallic's office, it had been two weeks since Batman had paid him a visit... Gallic smirked, looking at some papers on his desk. “Perhaps I should move on to another phase...” Gallic smiled. |

[Gallic's Office] “Sir?” Someone who worked for Gallic knocked on the door. “There's a woman here to see you... said you offered her a job a couple weeks ago, when the airship crashed in the desert?” [Church] Alice had agreed to the detour. She wasn't quite ready to be back in the office yet anyway. She followed Didymus towards the church with a raised brow. “What exactly is it you have to show me, Lieutenant? I think you've already seen my church.” Yes, she was talking about the shack full of guns that Wolfwood had dubbed the only church in the slums. He was a friend... and far more insightful than his cigarette chain smoking and giant guns would lead one to believe. |

Church “What exactly is it you have to show me, Lieutenant? I think you've already seen my church.” Didymus raised an eyebrow with a slight smirk/grin at this. "Your church? So, you do consider yourself part of a congregation, then? I was wondering...anyway, what I have to show you..." He sighed, and opened the door for her, walking in. The inside was more or less the same as the outside-with an air of earnestness, beauty, and history-not a cathedral, but nothing to sneeze at. Didymus led Alice down the aisle to a spot near the front, and stopped. "You see this position?" he asked, pointing to a space right in front of a pew. "This church is rather conveniently placed between the officer school and my residence...I..." he paused again. "I studied politics when being schooled to become an officer. Malvin, I...I watched. I studied, and I categorized. I examined the aristocracy which runs this city VERY closely...and I was only distressed by what I saw. Dismayed. You know how the aristocracy acts; they seem, in my humble opinion, to be too busy backstabbing each other or playing games of wealth and power in other fashions against each other to actually run this civilization and care about the plight of the common man...most of what I saw was either corruption, selfishness, malice, or indifference. But...I knew that there were some people, at least in the military, who valued service more than self. That's part of why I joined up..." "...when I was in training, almost every day, I can't say I was perfect at it, but I'd come here, and in this exact same spot, I'd come, and I'd get down on my knees, and I'd ask God-nay, I'd BEG Him-that I could serve Him, that I could do SOME good. I trusted that MAYBE there was some reasonable aristocrat, or MAYBE the military had enough or could gain enough influence to actually make some sort of governmental change, or something...something to just..." He was clearly composed, but the passion in his voice at this point was clear. "...to get Hydron out of this blasted rut it's in of corrupt or indifferent leaders who don't care about the common citizen. The rut that we were stuck in weighed on me; it seemed we were trapped in an corrupt, sinful society with little if anything worth protecting and little hope of things getting better till Kingdom come...still, I hoped. I believed. I came here and got on my knees almost every day and BEGGED God to help me, to help Hydron, to show me the way I could serve, and to give me, if it pleased Him, a sign of hope...I worked hard in intel, and..." He paused. "...and then, as a reward for honorable service, they kicked me out of the INTELLIGENCE OFFICE and made me bodyguard to a unit that everyone hates. I wondered, but..." He paused. "...but it wasn't all bad. I think, even though it's just been two weeks, perhaps...perhaps what happened to me, painful though it seemed, was necessary...necessary for Him to answer my prayers..." He looked her right in the eyes. "Malvin, in the past two weeks, I've seen you show more concern for your unit, your mission of slum relief, and the common citizen than most of the philanthropists and charity workers in Hydron. You never hesitate to put your own life on the line, and I've SEEN the concern you show when I talk about the people in the slums these past two weeks we bump into, or the dangers your men face, or the problems the middle class has we bump into. Frankly, Malvin...perhaps I'm wrong, but you appear to be an aristocrat...a noble, if you will, who actually is interested to living up to the title. Someone who actually WANTS to do good...and with your linage and status as the heiress of House Malvin, you are someone who actually, conceivably, CAN do good. Someone who could FIGHT this trend of corrupt and indifferent aristocrats. An aristocrat who actually could make things better...I've not seen such an aristocrat anywhere else." He paused. "I know I'm getting personal, Malvin, but all this is to say, two weeks ago, you continuously and repeatedly risked yourself in a manner that was reckless, if not foolish. If something were to happen to you...it's just, I've prayed for this for YEARS. Now, finally, I think maybe He's given me an answer...Malvin, PLEASE, I'm BEGGING you now...be careful out here. Consider your moves carefully. I know you want and plan only the best...and perhaps this is something of a charge and a pledge. Hydron's future can be changed for the better-and I think you might be able to do it. I like to think I've gotten some grip of who you are in the past two weeks...and if my appraisal is accurate...then I am now charged with protecting you by more than just Hydron's aristocracy, I'd warrant. And you...you need to stay alive." he said. He suddenly blushed a bit, turning away. "I-I know this is all incredibly personal stuff, but you were so reckless...I had to say something. I...I will not stand idly by while what could be the BEST chance Hydron's got for a better future that I can see now risks herself recklessly. I...you can at least understand where I'm coming from, right?" |

Shimera's Mansion Shimera was feeling giddier than ever today. She didn't know for sure why, but her chest felt like there were tickling butterflies in it as she brushed her long hair. She was going to see Cess again, and it made her feel so excited. Shimera decided she had this feeling because she was in love with the boy. She almost screamed with joy with the thought of loving someone. Nothing excited her more than Cess' visit. Avenger's Abode It had been a few weeks, and Avenger was starting to ease up on KxS. They went back to the schedule of letting KxS roam around at day and bringing her back to the little house before sunset. "I'm going to the library, 'Vengy!" she called out from the door. "Alright, don't be gone long!" he replied. KxS smiled and headed toward the library. It had been two weeks, and the girl was starting to miss Jimi. She may have seen Nevex every now and then, but she longed to see |

The Library A faint guitar tune could be heard in the background, the wind picking up as Nevex patiently waited outside of the library... "Isn't this a bit stalkerish? Don't ya know that this might come off as a bit creeperish?" Sefier looked at Nevex with something resembling worry. The teen was completely optimistic, however. "Nonsense!" "Are you just happy to see her, or is it just me? Seriously, you've been hearing her sleep. That's kinda creepy." "Excuse me for-" Nevex paused, and then looked up at the sky. "Why are you here anyway?" "That's what I'm asking myself..." The guitarist stopped playing, and looked off into the distance... |
