Narroh Estate "A contest" Kanna stated, eyes still on the article. "It seems as if they're looking for new technology to protect the city....Their offering a contract with the city to the winner..." Suddenly little cash signs appeared in Kanna's eyes. While thanks to her husband's mass fortune she and her children were set for the rest of their lives this would provide a wonderful opportunity to prove to weary business men that she was more than just a woman dabbling in engineering...She was a powerhouse...She also loved the fact that she could get a little money on her own. Shut all those nay-sayers up. "We'll naturally I will have to entered this." Kanna said with a little grin. Suddenly Jason walked into the room, still groggy and not paying attention...He walked past Kanna and retrieved himself a cup of coffee...Before pausing and looking back over to his mother at the table. His azure eyes fell on Samuel. "Who the hell is he?!" The boy exclaimed, not used to seeing another guy in the house. Kanna wasn't even keen on hiring men to work as cleaners at their estate. "His name is Samuel" Kanna told him, eyes still on the paper. Jason raised a brow, rushing over and glaring at the strange man. "You get a boyfriend or something last night?" Kanna still didn't look over "No you idiot. He's Melanie's father-in-law" "........................................" "Well...Soon to be father-in-law" Kanna corrected. "Ha ha ha you're funny." Jason said, not looking amused in the slightest. "Now tell me who he REALLY is" "Already told you" Kanna said, sitting down the paper. "You can meet the boy, he should be in one of the guest rooms..." "OH I WILL" Jason exclaimed, slamming down his coffee and heading back out of the room and down the hallways towards a very unfortunate Galv. When Jason was gone Kanna turned to Samuel "Well that turned out better than I was expecting" [...] The old lady maid did NOT win Steampunk Stories. That pillow probably killed her. Okay maybe not killed her, but the woman let out another shriek as she was assaulted by the pillow. She recovered a few moments later, keeping her distance. "W-What are you doing in Master Narroh's room!?!" she exclaimed. Apartment "Fine fine fine, I'll get up" Crystal muttered, pulling her hair up in her usual ponytail before disappearing into the bathroom to get ready. Once she was ready she reemerged, looking cleaned up and at least a bit more awake. Collette finally stirred herself, the girl groggily (and adorably) rubbing her eyes and looking up at Hammah. "We're going?" she asked |

-Military Police Station- “Oh, Bruce?” Gordon said, “Well, today's looking up.” Gordon had been on friendly terms with the billionaire for a long time. When Bruce had been a child, and his parents were brutally murdered, Gordon had been a young beat cop then, and had stayed with Bruce, comforting the lad until Alfred had arrived to get him. Ever since then, Gordon had made sure to check up on child, and as Bruce grew older, he had given generously to the police form. If Gordon wasn't still distrustful over the Batman, he might say that Bruce Wayne had helped take down Hydron's crime almost as much as Batman. “Send him in, we can talk while I head to my office,” Gordon told the officer. -Narroh Estate- “Well...he seems to have taken it well,” Samuel said, sipping his tea, watching Jason storm off. He hoped Galv was smart enough to avoid getting beat up by the older boy. He sighed, then turned his attention back to Kanna. “Hmmm...That might something your soon to be son-in-law for,” Samuel said, smirking, “He's a good engineer.” Galv was completely unaware of Jason's fury, as he spotted him in the hallways! “Oh, Jason!” Galv said, racing up to the boy, “Ummmm...Are we...are we still going to the workshop? I mean...considering what happened last night, with Melanie and I...” Haha, vagueness. Maize paused...what was she doing here? The girl thought back, remembering bits and pieces last night...Jason had been carrying her into his house...then...she couldn't remember anything after that! Maize had two choices...freak out, or keep calm and control of the situation. “...What do you think I'm doing here?” Maize said, raising herself up to her full height of short, staring at the older woman. “Jason brought me here himself!” While nothing had happened last night, Maize herself didn't know this, and figured at least pretending to be in control was better then panicking. -Apartment- “No, it's just time to get up,” Hammah said, “We can stay here, remember?” He smiled at his little sister, patting her on the shoulder again, “Come on, it's time to earn our keep.” |

[Military Police Station] Bruce Wayne was one of those head's of company who everyone in Hydron knew. He had a reputation somewhat close to Stark's... a billionaire playboy who spent most of his time with beautiful women and booze. Unlike Tony, Bruce never actually drank. His 'booze' was usually just ginger ale with a small additive to give it that smell of gin and tonic, without the harmful hangover side-effects. Bruce always remained sharp, because despite his image... “Ah, Commissioner!” Bruce grinned and waved as he walked into the room, smiling at Gordon. Jim Gordon was an old friend, and someone Bruce admired. He had, at one point, hoped that in giving enough money to the military police, he could clean up the crime that way... … He learned that it was just never enough. There was too much crime... the only way to fix it was to do things the military wasn't allowed to do... “I hope I'm not disturbing you. I just wanted a few minutes of your time.” [Apartment] As everyone started to wake up, and the grogginess slowly started to melt away, Stark grinned. These engineers were all young... but they had skills. And if things kept up like this... then maybe, just maybe, Stark could actually get things going. Sama, meanwhile, was looking over to the kids and snickering. He liked kids... they were cute... at least the one's that didn't scream all day. |

Military Police station Didymus watched as Wayne was taken into Gordon's office. "Well, I suppose that's that..." He stepped into Section III's room again. "Alright, who's Lieutenant Malvin's second-in-command here?" |

Narroh Estate Her mind went back to the contest...Perhaps those two men from yesterday would be conned into aiding her... Kanna then raised a brow looking at Samuel as he spoke"That child is an engineer?" she questioned, not taking him seriously "He's much too young to be any good at it surely....Tell me, how much education does the boy have? Just in case the news of the engagement gets out I don't want to have people think my child is marrying an illiterate fool." [...] Meanwhile Jason was in such a huff that he almost didn't notice Galv coming towards him. When he did the boy blinked and did a doubletake. "Galv?! Wat are you doing here? I thought you just dropped Melanie off last night!?" He hadn't made the connection yet. “Ummmm...Are we...are we still going to the workshop? I mean...considering what happened last night, with Melanie and I...” "Wait.....What?" He then made the connection "Y-YOU'RE MELANIE'S-WAIT. WHAT?! YOU DID WHAT WITH MY SISTER?!?!!" Jason was about to pass out. He was also about to kill Galv. [...] "Master Narroh brought you here!?!" The old lady exclaimed, still keeping her distance lest Erin kill her. "Surely his mother isn't aware! Oh how HORRIBLE! I must tell her!" Please don't old lady. Apartment "Oh good..." Colette said groggily, still not quite sure about her surroundings. "Can I help?" Crystal then went over to the small girl. "How about I help her get ready and we meet you over at Stark's." |

[Apartment] Sama nodded. “Okay! In that case, the rest of us should get going, I guess...” The boy started gathering his things. He was still grinning, and he looked over to Crystal and Colette. “Don't be late!” [Military Police Station] “Um... second-in-command sir?” Martis asked, tilting his head. “We're both Warrant Officers, so I guess one of us.” Oreldo shrugged. “But... we're not exactly that big on ranks and stuff around here.” Oland just blinked, tilting his head. |

Military Police station Didymus nodded. Figures...I have an insane unit directly under my command partnered with an informal one...still... "Alright, here's the deal: Lieutenant Malvin had a meeting with the slum's "leaders" planned today...she herself will not be keeping that appointment. We will. One of you, or both, at any rate, your unit is going to have to handle it without her. We'll be providing security as usual and I'll provide what management I can or must, but I trust you can handle this?" |

-Military Police Station- “It's no problem Bruce,” Gordon said, as they headed into Gordon's office, “Always have time for an old friend, and generous contributor.” He grinned, taking a seat behind his desk, motioning for Bruce to take a chair himself, “What is it you'd like to discuss?” -Narroh Estate- “Galv knows a lot...” Samuel said, “While I didn't accept any of my father's money directly, I knew it was best for Galv to have a good education...He's very adept at building things, especially with...well...electricity.” He paused, remembering that day for a few moments. “He can also read and write,” Samuel said, “I'd wager he's just as good as Melanie and Jason there.” “I didn't do anything!” Galv said, “Well, only a little, and she said it was okay! And, and, our parents said we were getting married, so it seemed okay!” Yayyyy, misunderstandings? Maize paused. While she didn't know Kanna very well, she didn't think it was a good idea for her to know that she was in her son's room... “I don't think you should do that...” Maize said, softly, though looked for another pillow to throw, just in case, “Why don't you just find Jason, and tell him I'm awake, hmmm?” -Apartment- “Thank you,” Hammah said to Crystal, “Be careful around our sister here. She can be mischevious...” He smiled, getting up and following after Sama. “Errr...” Jimi paused, “If you guys are just doing engineer stuff...I might not be much help...errr...” He paused, seeing Kxs, “Besides, our guest, Kxs here! She'll need someone to accompany her home after all. As a gentleman, I can't let her go off alone!” |

[Apartment] Sama looked over to Jimi and just snickered to himself, crossing his arms. “Suuuuuuuure, you just want to 'walk her home'... or maybe you plan on some kissy-kissy time.” Sama grinned, probably earning the right to have something thrown at him by Jimi. [Military Police Station] “You really think this sorry lot can do ANYTHING?” The Ranger in the black helmet and uniform seemed to have followed Didymus. She was leaning against the wall, arms crossed, and her helmet still firmly in place. She chuckled, seemingly amused. “... The military police... so named because it functions as both police and an army... these guys couldn't be supply clerks, or meter maids...” “Hey!” Orland frowned. “Section Three is a valid resource to Hydron!” “Please. You 'talk' to the slum leaders... you hand out bread and toilet paper... none of you would last thirty minutes on the other side of that wall. You sleep at night safe and sound because of the Ranger Corps. You eat, breath and live because we keep the real dangers away from this place. This sorry lot isn't fit to shine my shoes. I wouldn't get mixed up in them, Lieutenant, if you want any real career.” […] Bruce smiled a bit, taking a seat and adjusting his tie. “I actually came by to ask you about Section Three. I've heard about them recently... Jim, are they really making a difference in the slums?” Bruce seemed interested. Especially since his meeting with Didymus and Alice in Crane's basement... of course, he hadn't been Bruce Wayne for that. |

Military police station Didymus remained silent and professional as the ranger spoke. "I am interested in carrying out my orders, regardless of what unit I am assigned to. As it stands, whatever their effect on the slums or on one's career, I have very little say in my place here-I was ordered. And I think their effect is a positive one, even if it is rather...limited...in its scale. Often, at least. I didn't know that the slums even had...well, Lieutenant Malvin must have dug noticably deep to get this kind of thing together...and one more thing...I respect the rangers. I really do. They're the finest fighting force Hydron has, and I don't profess to be able to best them...and while I can't say I know exactly what's going on outside of Hydron, I agree, anyone who helps fight out there and keeps the real dangers at bay DOES play a vital part the importance of which may be vastly underestimated in our society...but you are mistaken in at least one account: I was on that airship that crashed outside the wall last night. So was Lieutenant Malvin, Section III's regular CO. We both survived out there. Maybe it's because we didn't seem to attract a lot of attention, or maybe you were out there drawing attention away, and if so I thank you sincerely...but the fact remains we DID survive out there for more than a half hour." He allowed himself a brief hint of a smile. "Now, is there something we can do for you?" |

[Apartment] Oh, so he thinks he's smooth, huh? It's on, now. Nevex looked at KxS. "Well, I personally think that her master's worried about her. It's best if I lead her to my place or she stays here for the time being." He then turned to Jimi. "Unless you're really willing to escort her back, I'm afraid it's not the best course of option. But if you really want to, I'll escort her back along with you. After all, her master has some powers as well. It's best we have two people guarding rather than one." |

[Military Police Station] The Ranger paused, and suddenly she started to chuckle... and then she was laughing loudly, throwing back her head and letting loose with what sounded like truly joyful laughter. “You know something? You're alright, Lieutenant. Not just anybody would have survived in the desert... and even fewer people would have the nerve to talk back to a Ranger. Not bad at all.” She patted him on the shoulder. “Nope. There's not a single thing you can do for me... but there's something I could do for you. You're shorthanded, right? Then for the day, I'll stick around and help out.” She paused. “Hmm... but first... you there!” She pointed at Oland. “Um... yes ma'am?” “Get me an Section Three uniform! The slums might warily welcome you Section Three boys in green, but when someone in a black uniform goes out there, people hide.” It was the truth. The Rangers did most of their activities on the walls, or outside of Hydron. When they were called into a situation inside of the walls... it was only for the most extreme and dangerous situations. She then looked back to Didymus. “... And since I'm helping out, and since you're the acting head of Section Three, I guess that means I'll be taking orders from you. Hmm... been a while since I was the one taking orders. Haha, should be amusing.” |

Narroh Estate "Good" Kanna said simply "I suppose I will have to announce it then...It would seem strange if your son was hanging around my daughter for any other reason..." [...] Jason blinked...and then paled "Wait....You did WHAT WITH MY SISTER?!" He then proceeded to grab Galv by the collar, tugging him forward "YOU'RE LIKE TEN OR SOMETHING! JUST WHAT ARE YOU THINKING!?" Obviously Jason didn't get it. [...] The old woman stuttered a bit and then rushed out of the room, heading down the hall and calling out for Jason. Apartment "Oh be nice" Crystal said with a giggle, punching Sama in the arm "I think it's adorable!" Colette yawned "What's adorable?" she asked, still out of it. Crystal giggled and took the girl's hand "Don't worry about it dear, let's go get you ready" |

[Narroh Estate] Misunderstandings were rampart all over the house! Seems like a good time for the sketchy character who gave Jason and Maize a ride home to show up. Red had been promised a job opportunity from Jason if he came back today; and now the young man had arrived. But he found the front gate locked. He could have simply called up the house and explained he was here to see Jason... but Red instead decided to hop the fence and head towards the house on his own. I'm sure this won't end badly at all. [Apartment] Luckily Crystal always remembered to punch Sama in his left arm; and not the one made of automail. The boy winched and frowned, but then he shrugged. “Well, you get ready! The rest of us are heading to Tony's lab!” |

Military police station Didymus paused as this woman spoke and now seemed to want to join them. Interesting...it appeared that she was impressed he'd talk back to her. But he shook his head. Talking back to a ranger is far from the boldest thing I've done anyway... "I suppose, especially a meeting with the slum's "leaders", a ranger would be welcome aboard. Although I may need you working with my team more than theirs...providing security...but if I may ask...why are you even here, anyway? You seemed to regard Section III with...distaste, and now you want to volunteer on it? And just who are you, anyway? What is a ranger even doing back here?" He thought of how Alice was so insistent that someone in particular not take her place, but she hadn't stated who... ...he was wary, at least a bit, of this ranger. "Either way, though, we should hurry up. We'd hate to be late..." Especially because Alice may want to show up anyway... |
