I can't see what you're imagining
|
-Train Yard- Jimi blushed, looking over at Sama, then back towards Kxs and Nevex. “Ummm, I guess you two can come...errr...I mean, I just kinda moved there...my siblings and I kinda just got there...use to live in the slums...” Jimi muttered. -Fancy Streets- Cess grinned, and then took her hand, running down the street now. “Come on then! Let's hurry up before everyone else has all the fun!” -Nice Streets- Hammah smiled at his sister, ruffling her hair, then paying the vendor for the candy. “Ummm...yah, I think they both liked toast...I don't remember dad ever eating peanuts...Oatmeal was something we all had...Errr, and mom hated milk, like Jimi, but dad loved it, like me!” Hammah told her, smiling. He paused, glancing back to the apartment. The others (plus some extra people, he noticed), seemed to be back. “Hey, it looks like brother is back...” -Apartment Building- Jimi frowned, “Just trail mix...? Can't we have some money to get something ordered in, maybe?” -Slum Streets- “Oh, that's abandoned...” Galv said, “It use to be a factory, but it got shut down a couple years ago...Wanna go inside?” It was dark in there too...Maybe Galv could get a kiss! Be thankful Galv is not like Jason. “If you think so,” Maize said then, “Do you have any particular tavern in mind? I don't really drink...You and I could find some corner booth, in a dark corner...so no one seems my ripped dress...” Maize...was a lonely girl. D: |

[Apartment Building] Stark shrugged. “I guess...” He handed Jimi a wad of hundred dollar bills, or whatever the equivalent currency would be in this RP. [Slums] “A certain vigilante... Alice, don't tell me you buy into this nonsense about The Doctor. The whole thing is ridiculous...” Mustang shook his head. “No! I'm talking about the new vigilante... the one dressed like a giant bat.” Alice informed him. Mustang groaned. “Oi... that one. Look, don't meddle in this one Alice. Besides... don't you have a wedding to be planning for?” Alice flushed. “S-Shut up... sir.” |

Slums Didymus listened as Alice and Mustang bantered about vigilantes, shaking his head at all of such affairs... But it's only natural if the aristocracy who controls the government is failing to properly dispense justice, isn't it? If the government were a little better, maybe these kind of things wouldn't happen...which is why, perhaps... He glanced over at Alice again. Then, came the remark about a wedding. "Wait, what?" he felt himself let out. Blast. There goes any chance I have...but I suppose that was a forgone conclusion anyway, it IS me we're talking about...still, did Alice just talk back to a senior? Well, she's an aristocrat. Still, I find myself intrigued... |

Nice Streets "Big Brrrrrooooooooottttthhhheeeerrr!" At the sight of her oldest brother Colette went running, reaching the teenager boy in no time flat. Instantly she held out her hand, presenting her latest acquisition. "Look what Hammah got me!" Good job Hammah, candy for a nine-year-old. "Oh and Hammah told me mom and dad liked toast! Did you know that!?" Colette asked excitedly. [...] Meanwhile Crystal didn't seem too worried about the aspect of having to sleep on the floor. While she did love the few luxuries she usually had (furniture being one) the girl could use this as an excuse to spend some time with her friend! "Oh yay! We can have a sleepover!" Crystal told Sama, totally unaware of the brain seizure Sama could have from that suggestion. Slum Streets "Oh! Yes please!" Melanie said excitedly, rushing a few steps ahead of Galv and into the dark building. Once inside the girl looked around excitedly. She really had no issues seeing in the lack of light, but she stayed close to Galv just in case he did. the old warehouse was rather dirty, having been abandoned and ransacked several times over. All that seemed to be left was some broken glass and lots of dust. Melanie coughed a bit, eyes now up on the ceiling. It looked old and close to collapse as well. "Cooooooooooool" [...] Once again Jason's face went bright red, the boy giving another cough to compose himself. "Uh y-yeah, I know a place" he managed, taking the girl's hands and leading her down the street. While he definitely wasn't supposed to Jason frequented the slums to get work done. He also came out to get something to eat or drink some nights after his work was done... The tavern Jason led Maize into was dirty and old but seemed cozy in a strange way. The two teens weren't given a second look as they entered and took a seat near the back. Slum Streets Kanna hissed in pain as she brought a washcloth up to her pale face, covering a large bruise that would be forming on the side of her face. Luckily she would be able to hide it well enough with some makeup and her long hair....but that didn't change the fact that it was there. Kanna groaned, rubbing her head. This was the third time he had come around her estate. No matter what security measures she put in he got past them...After all this was once his home too. She needed to get serious about this....Hire some protection for her family...It wouldn't seem too out of the ordinary, after all most noble families had some sort of bodyguard.... |

[Slums] “Wait, what?” Mustang paused for a moment at Didymus' shocked reaction. He raised his eyebrow, but otherwise maintained the same calm composure the man was known for. Alice flushed a bit in the face and crossed her arms – a move that caused her to nearly fall over. The wound on her shoulder hurt, and she groaned and uncrossed her arms once more. “... Yes, well... that's still a ways off, Colonel. Besides, I'm on duty, my mind needs to be focused on my work – protecting and cleaning up these slums! That's what the Pumpkin Scissors are all about! Now if you would, I have work to do...” Roy shook his head. “Now, now, Alice, a deal is a deal, after all.” Alice frowned, and glared a rather venomous glare at Mustang. The man ignored it. “... Look, right now you need to go to a hospital. Head to HQ. Didymus – you go with her. Keep her in your sight at all times.” Mustang chuckled and headed back towards his car. “... Alice, I expect you to be more careful. We wouldn't want you all scarred up for the wedding.” As soon as Mustang was out of earshot, Alice swore a bit. The medic flinched. She paused, approaching Didymus. “... Let's just go to the hospital... I'll explain on the way...” [Nice Streets] “Oh yay! We can have a sleepover!” Sama's brain hit a surge and overloaded. The circuit breakers were tripped and for a few seconds, all power to his mind was shut off, leaving him standing there like a fool, his cheeks quickly filling with blood. Of course, he realized what she meant, but even in the most innocent terms the idea of co-ed sleepovers still somehow seemed blue-screen worthy. “Oh, y-yeah... a sleepover will be lots of fun... it's best to look at the positive, after all...” Sama stammered a bit. He paused, realizing he was probably making a fool of himself at the moment. “Anyway! We should get back to the apartment building... Jimi's got money to order pizza now, so we're all good!” |

Slums “Now, now, Alice, a deal is a deal, after all.” Didymus was further intrigued...Alice's glares...his mind was puzzling... “... Look, right now you need to go to a hospital. Head to HQ. Didymus – you go with her. Keep her in your sight at all times.” "Yes sir." Didymus was right at Alice's side again. “... Alice, I expect you to be more careful. We wouldn't want you all scarred up for the wedding.” Alice then swore. Didymus shook his head, trying to hide the fact his mind was racing. “... Let's just go to the hospital... I'll explain on the way...” "Very well, Malvin. Please, this way..." He looked to a medic. "We can take this vehicle, right?" (provided there was one). "Malvin is in no condition to be walking there." |

[Nice Streets] "Not a bad suggestion, really." Nevex said, smiling to Crystal. "Get to know each other, all that jazz...it'll be fun. Granted, it's us and pizza...but hey, we can make some good outta this." He slung his arm around KxS' shoulder gently, playing with her hair. "...Now, to the apartment..." Nevex's Abode "...Needa pee..." 75## got up out of bed. "That nook that he has is really small...and tight...and unfitting to sleep in, MAN! Where is he anyway...?" |

-Apartment Building- Jimi paused, looking down at the money Stark had absentmindedly given him. It was more then he had ever held in his life. “Errr...” Jimi paused, then glanced to Kxs. “Do you want to help me get the pizzas?” he asked her. Then Colette appeared, Hammah soon after wards. “What? Toast?” Jimi paused, then sighed softly, “I did know that, Colette.” He smiled, patting his sister on the head. -Abandoned Factory- Galv peered in the darkness, having trouble seeing. His eyes were more adjusted for light! He held up his hand, electricity sparking in it, creating light for him to see by. “There's nothing too exciting in here...” Galv said, “It's been looted over the years, so usually it's just bums looking for shelter from the rain who'll be in here...” -Slums Tavern- Maize sidled in right next to Jason as they got into the tavern booth, grinning a little and staying very close to him. “You're very warm...” Maize mentioned, “I like that...” Elsewhere in the tavern was a man named Antoine Russel, accompanied by his young daughter. Erin... -Slum Streets- Samuel sighed, deciding to head home to try and figure out where Galv might be. As he walked, he paused, as several soldiers were now by his small house... “Is something wrong?” Samuel asked, as he approached them. “You need to come with us sir...The Commissioner wants to talk with you...” the soldiers said. Samuel sighed, then nodded, going with them... |

[Slums] Alice sighed, and slide into the car. The medic had given it to the two of them. Once they were inside the car, she just sighed and leaned back, applying pressure to her arm again. By now, she looked a bit pale from the blood loss. “... Aren't you going to ask me?” [Apartment Building] Sama chuckled a bit at the little kids. He liked kids, although the boy was also a little afraid of them since small children tended to wipe their noses on his sleeves, and then get him sick. It's Sama. He has weird luck. He shrugged. “Okay! So, Jimi and Kxs will get the pizza, and in the meantime, the rest of us should head upstairs and set up for the sleepover.” He paused. Had he really just called it a sleepover too? |

Car As Didymus drove, he was glad, at least, that Alice was trying to put pressure on her arm. “... Aren't you going to ask me?” "I certainly want to." Didymus said, as he tried to find his way to the hospital. "...but I don't want to risk aggrivating your wound or poking my nose outside of my busniess. But on the other hand..." he chuckled nervously. "...it may take my mind off of how badly your family has it in for me now. So if you're in the mood to tell, I'll listen...but I may advise against it-you're turning pale. On second thought, maybe you should just save your strength till we get you patched up properly..." |

Slums Tavern Jason let out another nervous laugh "Y-Yeah, I guess i'm just warm-natured" he answered, not sure if he should let the girl know about his abilities....not yet. He then moved to stand "H-How about I go get us some drinks?" Before he could answered the boy rushed off, letting out a relieved breath once he was free....That girl was making him entirely too happy to be in the slums at night....She was certainly something. Quickly the boy ordered some drinks, bringing them back to the table. "Here, I got you cider" he said with a smile, taking a seat....Suddenly he had an odd feeling (like his girlfriend from another universe had just walked in....) Abandoned Factory Melanie suddenly stopped, eyes wide and looking absolutely shocked. "People....Stay in here!?" She asked as if she had never heard about the idea of people being homeless. "Why don't they just go home?" ....Obviously she hadn't. Apartment Building "Yup! Oh an apparently you didn't drink your milk when you were little! No wonder you're so small!" Hopefully Jimi doesn't have the Ed-complex. [...] "Awesome! Everyone is invited to Sama's for a slumber party!" Crystal exclaimed loudly. From her spot Colette heard. In an instant the girl was rushing over to Crystal's side, looking up at the stranger like she had known her for years. "May I come!?" Crystal giggled "Of course! But you'll have to see if your brothers will allow it!" Slum Streets Kanna would have waited until the morning to make the call, but she didn't want to do it while Melanie and Jason were around...And anyways, she was rich enough to get such business done after hours... She was making calls to find the perfect body guard. |

[Car] Alice chuckled grimly. “Basically, it's simple... I believe in what my squad does. I believe that the only way we can make Hydron a great city – a truly great city – is if we find a way to deal with the problems in the Slums. We need to repair what the careless experiment did five years ago... we need to give the people a real chance...” She shook her head. “I had only two options... I could have gone and tried to abuse the powers of my posistion – but in doing so, I'd be betraying everything I stand for. So...” She paused. “... Mustang wants to be on the council. He's not an aristocrat. He figures his best shot is to marry into a aristocratic family... so he made a deal. He'd keep Pumpkin Scissors open if I married him.” [Apartment Building] Sama shrugged his arms. “I think she sort of HAS to come... I mean, we all could just go find empty rooms to sleep in, but if we're all sleeping on the floor anyway, why not together?” He paused. “N-Not together, but in the same room I mean...” He sweat dropped. |

Car Didymus listened intently as Alice spoke, but his jaw hung slightly open as she told her tale. "...so...Malvin...you..." He paused. "...I'm sorry. You're going into a loveless marriage? For this? And is Section Three really so underfunded that you need to marry your senior officer-how much older than you is he? I mean, I suppose it's not too bad to like a girl a few years younger than you, but I'd say a decade or two may be taking it a little far...still, Malvin, do you expect such a marriage to last? Why does Mustang even WANT to be on the council?" This couldn't be right. Alice was supposed to marry someone who'd do good, who'd help her do good, and together they'd transform the aristocratic council, or at least TRY to, not...not some powerhungry pervert almost twice her age! She was supposed to be on the council herself, even, as one of the best hopes in ages for some GOOD actually being done at the top of Hydron's power structure, and... He shook his head. Just when I thought I had found a purpose for this... ...and you think that just because it's not going the way you envisioned, it still won't be for good? I suppose it still can be... They arrived at the hospital, and by this point Alice could see that Didymus did look a tad...troubled. "Well, let's go, Malvin...but if I may say so, I..." he sighed. "...I think I may need to have a long talk with you sometime. Maybe even tonight, I...I just..." he sighed, then got out and offered her his arm. "Or throw your arm around me, either way, you're looking pale. Please, let me help you. PLEASE, it's okay to accept help as well as give it sometimes..." |

-Apartment Building- “Of course you can stay with us,” Hammah told Colette, “Where else are you going to sleep!” That, plus, she had candy and would be hyperactive for hours now... -Slums Tavern- “Thanks,” Maize said, sipping the cider. “What did you get for yourself? Cider as well?” Russel and Erin had looked at Jason as he got the drinks and returned to the booth. Jason and Maize were dressed much more nicely then anyone else in the tavern. “I think we found our next suckers...” Russel grinned. -Abandoned Factory- “They don't have homes...” Galv frowned, looking around, “A lot of people in the slums don't...Only reason I have one is because my dad's in the military...” He frowned a little, looking at the squalor... -Commissioner Gordon's Office- “Kid...what you've done violated a lot of rules,” Gordon sighed, looking at Samuel, who was sitting across the desk. “This could be very bad for Section Three...” “No one else knew about it...” Samuel frowned, “Don't blame them...” Gordon frowned, “That's not the issue...Look...this knowledge could very easily spread...I want to keep Section Three afloat...and I understand your concerns. But you're going to have to compromise some.” “Sir,” someone said, stepping in, “There's someone on the phone for you...” “Not now...” Gordon scowled, “I'm busy.” “It's Kanna Narroh,” the man said, “She sounds urgent.” Gordon sighed, then picked up his phone, hitting a button. “Yes Narroh?” Gordon asked, “I'm a little busy...” |

[Apartment Building] Sama shook his head, and cleared his throat, then the boy looked to the door of the apartment building. “Aw, we don't need to worry about too much right now! This is a party, right? So let's go up stairs and get to partying!” The boy was excitable, even if he was a little naïve. He ran to the door and unlocked it with the key he'd gotten from Stark, and then stepped inside. The building may have been old, but it was in good shape and had been given a good upkeep. There were no cobwebs, and not much dust. However, it was very empty. The halls were barren, the walls did not have any pictures or decorations. The entire inner hall looked empty, and Sama had a feeling the apartments themselves were just as vacant. “Wow... could use some drapes or something.” The boy was a boy, and knew knowing of interior design. He shrugged his shoulders, and headed to the elevator. Next to it was a plaque that told all about the floors. “Hmm... ooh! Fifth floor is some kind of common's area! That'd be a good place for us to a party.” [Car] “Of course I am!” Alice shook her head, seeming a bit aggitated at the question. “I swore to uphold my duty at any cost, even if I should have to lay down my life... isn't something like this a far lesser cost than dying for my cause?” She sighed, leaning back in the seat. “Look... it's not an ideal situation; but it's how things are. It's either this... or abuse my powers as a noble. Tell me, which is better? To sacrifice an aspect of my life for what I believe, or to engage in the same activity I condem?” She stepped out of the car, and grunted once. “If you want to help... go fetch the doctor... I'll be fine.” |
