[The Slums] Having just finishing clipping a hole large enough to pass through, No. 9 stood back up to full height and kicked the fence a few times, until the cut wires broke, leaving an entrance. “Oh, very illegal. This trainyard is owned by Stark Industries.” He paused. “Well... if you're not going to go home, you really have two options. You can go to the police and turn me in, or follow me. Either way should be fun.” Without another word, he headed into the hole in the fence. [Run-Down Building] After a moment, Wolfwood stood up and walked over to Alice. He handed her a small piece of paper. “... This is the best I can do for now. I'll poke around, see if I can find more.” Alice read the paper, and nodded. “Alright. Thank you, Nicholas.” Wolfwood nodded, and then he looked over to Didymus. “Mind if I have a word with you, fella?” Without waiting for an answer, he pulled Didymus back outside the room. “So you're the one watching Alice's back, eh? She's important to us. The people of the slums might not know her face, but she's helped us out a lot, and those of us working to change things here... we need someone with her connections. Be careful... protect her.” |

The Slums Of course, her conscience DID tell her to turn him in, but KxS wanted to badly to follow him further. She had a gut feeling this would pay off somehow. Besides, the police might put her in jail too for being out so late. She followed Number 9 through the fence with barely any hesitation. |

[The Slums] Nine headed inside the trainyard, heading forward towards one of the old, run down trains. He paused, opening the door, and stepped inside of the train. “Should be around here somewhere...” He looked a bit upset. The man turned around, and then grinned, as he spotted a small, green metal box lying on the tracks. He moved closer to it, and as he did, in the distance, he could hear Sama, Crystal and Jimi talking. |

His grin vanished, and he took a deep breath. "...my life for hers, should it come to it. Will that be all? If so, I'm sure the lady wants to get moving..." |

-Shimera's Mansion- Cess grinned brightly, following right after Shimera, though making sure to keep quiet as they navigated out of the mansion. He didn't want to be caught, after all. -Trainyard- “...Do you hear something?” Jimi wondered suddenly, his ears pricking. Being an elder brother, he had heightened senses when someone was doing something they weren't suppose to. He turned to the direction that Nine and Kxs had entered the train yard, frowning, “Maybe it's just a mouse...” Shrugging, he held up his hand, fire appearing in it, then headed over, “I'll go check it out!” -Commissioner's Office- Jim Gordon sighed, staring at the pile of papers on his desk. “All this paperwork...” he sighed, “Those aristocrats need way to many records...probably just a way to keep me occupied...” “Well then, you have something new to occupy your time as well.” Gordon froze, reaching for his gun, seeing a figure remove itself from the shadows in the wall. It was a young man, in a suit and dark glasses. “Mr. Gallic sent me,” the man said, holding his hand up, then produced an envelope, “Mr. Gallic has discovered information you might find interesting...” “How did you get in here?” Gordon asked, his hand still hovering by his gun. The man seemed unnerved, “The letter, sir.” He tossed it to Gordon, who caught it, opening it up, looking over it. “It's his signature...and if what he says is true...Sigh...this is going to cause some problems...” Gordon said, then looked back up at the man. He was gone. “...Why am I not bothered by that?” Gordon wondered. Almost like he was use to someone entering and leaving his office mysteriously. -Police HQ- The man's form shifted, as did his clothes, looking like a young cop now, moving through the hallways, moving unimpeded, until he made it outside, ducking into an alleyway. After a few minutes, Don Gallic smirked, stepping out and straightening his suit, walking off, whistling to himself. |

[Trainyard] Sama was a bit surprised as Jimi mentioned hearing something. No one else should be in here... the boy rubbed his chin with his mechanical hand, but then shrugged. “Need some help...? I guess not.” He noticed Jimi headed off. The boy shrugged, and turned to Crystal. “Hey, I've been meaning to ask... have you asked Mr. Stark where you'll be working?” Sama seemed a bit hopeful. “I bet you could get the airship job... and maybe if you do, you could request I come with you...” He really wanted to work on an airship. [Run Down Building] Wolfwood's usual smile faded a bit, and the man got a serious look in his eyes. “I hope neither of you has to lay down your life. I know the life of a soldier, and I know it can be rough. I also know that a day is quickly coming when this city is going to have to change... the corruption at the top can't last. When it does change, it'll need good people and a good foundation.” He shook his head. |

Run-down building Didymus listened wairly as Wolfwood spoke, and said, eventually, "I don't want to have to...but if I'm here to protect Alice...if she's really one of the best ways through which the leadership of the aristocrats can be transformed for the better...I pray I'll do whatever it takes. As for the corruption at the top...of course the day is coming when no more shall corruption reign, minister." He grinned/smiled a bit. "Of course, THAT day may be further off than what you were referring to...anyway, shall Alice and I be on our way now? As much as I'd like her to take the evening off, she probably wants to check out this tip you've provided..." |

[Run Down Building] Wolfwood gave a hearty chuckle and clapped Didymus on the back. “Well, that isn't what I was talking about, but you've got a fine point there. Still, what I meant was this city's leadership... we've got to change it soon, or this city will end up a thing of the past.” Wolfwood sighed, and shook his head. “Get moving kid. And be careful out there.” |

Shimera's Mansion Through the twists and turns of the secret passageways, Shimera was taking the route that went right to the front yard. The two then reached a dead-end... Shimera reached up and opened the exit, which was blocked by a wide, flat rock that was part of the walkway to her front door. She motioned Cess to follow her as she climbed up and got out. Trainyard KxS paused, hearing Jimi coming. She panicked and hid behind a train car. But because she was curious, she peeked out from behind it to see who was there. It was that boy she saw earlier today! Her heart fluttered for a minute, but then she realized his hands were ablaze with fire. She got back behind the car. and kept as quiet as possible. |

GRAPPLING HOOK!

Trainyard Crystal thought about Sama's question for a moment. "I really don't know" she said "I'm sure he'll put me somewhere I can do good...Though other than serving food i'm not sure what else i'm really great at." While Crystal was a hopeful engineer she wasn't sure if she had the skills and the know how to put it into action for Stark...But of course, even mopping the floors on an airship was good enough if she got to go up in the air. "Oh! Lets see if we can work together! I would love to have someone I know nearby!" Dusty Workshop This was all a father exciting adventure for Melanie, who had never been in the slums before- especially at night. It was like some sort of taboo for an aristocrat to be out this late in such a dangerous area...Though she wasn't worried! "This is so cool!" she told Galv, stopping every now and then to look around like a curious tourist....She was probably drawing attention dressed so nicely.... [...] Jason sighed, looking back to Maize. "I say we go now...Hopefully we can get back before Melanie and Galv do. I would really like to avoid taking my baby sister into some seedy bar. He then took the girl's arm...After all it was the proper thing to do. "I could really use a drink" Apartment Building "I want to go exploring!" Colette answered. The child had always been an adventurous one. But at the same time the girl knew she wasn't going to win this....What her brother Jimi said usually was the last word. Colette sat down, looking at Hammah for a moment. "Did mom and dad like adventures?" she asked curiously. |

[Trainyard] Sama paused for a moment and shook his head. “Heeeey don't say that! You're a great engineer! And if you're ever worried and want to practice, I tend to break my arm all the time, so you could repair that!” Sama had a habit of shattering his mechanical arm in all sorts of accidents; so much to the point that it would have put a certain shorty to shame. Then again, that's not much to brag about. “It's settled then!” He grinned to her. “We'll ask Tony later and I'm sure we can work together... maybe on an airship...” Sama's mind was starting to trail off... he could imagine the deck of some gigantic, majestic airship flying through the sunset, and the two of them standing by the railing... and then the two leaning close to one another and... Sama had a dreamy expression on his face, which was rapidly turning bright red. Of course he didn't realize that. […] Down the way, Nine was busy trying to pry open the box. He had currently jabbed a screwdriver into the lock and was twisting it. “For some reason, it feels like this should be a lot easier.” He frowned. It was only then that he noticed Jimi running towards him, hands glowing with flames. “... Hello! Don't suppose you could burn this open for me, could you?” [Run Down Building/The Slums] Alice quickly headed out of the building, still holding the note to her face. Once they were a few feet away from the building, she finally looked back to Didymus. “Well, we have a lead. It's not much... just a list of locations where the vigilante has foiled crimes recently...” She shook her head. “At least Nicholas was willing to give us this much. I'm sure he's holding out on me, but... I can't blame him. He'll never fully trust me... not when my dad...” She paused, and shook her head. “Nevermind. Let's keep moving.” |

"People around here are distrustful of the aristocracy. It's the way things are. They blame the leadership of Hydron, or they just look on their wealth with envy, or...whatever." He suspected that Alice's father had done something to or with Wolfwood in the past, but Alice had said to "never mind" to it. He let the issue drop, for now. "Sometimes, they may have a point, but...well, let's just say that not EVERY messenger here seeks to spread the Gospel, as hopefully your friend back there does..." He paused, wondering if perhaps he was being too vague. "So, what's the game plan? Do we search the building there and ask anyone around if they've seen anyone PREVENTING crime rather than causing it, or what?" he chuckled a bit. Just down the road, a young boy was staring at them. |

-Shimera's Mansion- Cess followed after Shimera, still grinning and staying low. “You want to go somewhere more quiet, or loud and flashy?” Cess asked Shimera, “I think I have a couple ideas...” -Trainyard- Jimi may have noticed Kxs, if it wasn't for Nine drawing attention to himself. “...Hey, this is private property!” Jimi shouted, well aware that he would sneak into places like this to find parts for his brother in the past. “You're going to have to leave...” -Dusty Workshop- “Let's hurry then,” Maize said, “If we need to go faster, I suppose I can always carry you.” She smirked, taking his arm as he offered it. -Slum Streets- Galv was a little to love sick to realize that Melanie in her fancy clothes and constant surprise at everything might make them a very muggable target. Of course, Galv would fry anyone who would try. “We're almost to my house,” Galv said, “Hopefully some of my clothes will fit...” -Apartment Building- While Jimi was good at resisting the cuteness of Colette, Hammah was not. “Errr...well...yah, Mom and Dad explored all over Hydron, though mostly before Jimi was born. They both wanted to help people...That's why they were so involved in the electricity project...” The one that took their lives... D: “We still traveled quite a bit when I was little, but when you were born, we stopped doing that as often. Wasn't as easy with three kids, I guess,” Hammah continued, and then pausing. He wondered just how much of their parents that Colette even remembered... “...Do you really want to go exploring?” Hammah asked. |

[Slums] “The plan... I really don't know. I want to check in on some of these places and see if anyone has seen anything... but it doesn't seem like much of a lead.” She let out a sigh, but paused, as she noticed a small boy ahead looking at them. “Oh, hello.” Alice looked over to him. “Are you alright?” [Trainyard] Nine paused and frowned a bit, apparently annoyed by Jimi's reaction. He shrugged, and placed the boy down on one of the rail tiles, and started fiddling with the screwdriver again. “Sorry, I can't do that. At least not yet... not sure where this will lead me to next, and if it's somewhere in this yard, I might as well stay, you know?” Jimi probably did not know, since Nine was not explaining much. |
